Pat attended Lourdes for grade school through high school (Marinette Catholic Central) and graduated in 1948. She was a devout Catholic and her Church and religion were always a core aspect of her life. She was active in the Altar Society (Sacred Heart, Holy Family), Parish secretary at Sacred Heart and a board member for Catholic Central High School.
Pat’s early adult occupation was as a homemaker until her children began to grow up. She then worked outside the home as a personal secretary at Lauerman’s for Chuck Boyle; as a bookkeeper for Everett Electric; and volunteered extensively for several charitable nonprofit agencies in the Marinette community.
She had a multitude of interests and hobbies in the many decades of her life: gardening and house plants, baking, listening to music and attending plays and music concerts (5 large dresser drawers filled with playbills and programs), tennis, cross country skiing and travel were some of the primary ones. She had the “travel bug” and was fortunate to visit almost every state in the U.S. (including Alaska!). She and her husband also visited 5 of the Canadian Provinces, Mexico, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Austria and Switzerland.
The center of her universe was always the family home. Pat and her husband, Everett, remodeled and added 3 significant additions to the original childhood home of her grandmother, Margaret (nee Walter) Cook. She hosted many family and extended family gatherings throughout the years and long sleepover weekends for her adult children and her grandchildren. Their home was kind of “Hotel Waugus”. Pat and her husband simply adored their grandchildren and they were always welcome. She kept her home beautifully decorated and maintained one of the most colorful three season flower gardens in town. Pat loved collecting; some of her favorite collections included teapots in all sizes and designs and a sizeable collection of Hummel figurines.
Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Everett, and by her youngest daughter, Peggy Waugus-Gross. Also preceded in death by her brothers, William (Bill) and Robert (Bob) Cisco. Obituary Preview: James “Jim” Tandias, M.D., loving father, husband, and brother, loyal friend, and accomplished surgeon, passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2024, at his home in Marinette, Wisconsin at the age of 79.
Jim was born on January 12, 1945, to Chinese parents, Ruth and John Tandias, in Bindjei, Sumatra, Indonesia. He attended a Methodist primary school and completed high school at an all-boys boarding school in Penang, Malaysia. Jim immigrated to the U.S. at age 18, later becoming a proud U.S. citizen. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1968 and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 1972. After completing his internship and Emergency Medicine residency at the Hennepin County General Hospital, he then completed residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota.
Drawn to the prospect of living on the shores of Green Bay, Jim joined an orthopedic practice in Marinette in 1981 and opened his own practice the following year. He was a brilliant and confident surgeon who was respected by his colleagues and loved by his patients. In his early years as a surgeon, he often worked around the clock, 7 days a week, performing procedures that varied from carpel tunnel repair to total joint replacement and orthopedic trauma surgery. He enjoyed a 33-year career caring for patients in the tri-city area, operating at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette and HSHS St. Clare Memorial Hospital in Oconto Falls until his retirement in 2014. He attributed much of the success of his practice to the support of his long-time office manager and X-ray technician, Debbie Gardon.
Shortly after establishing his practice in Marinette, Jim helped his parents immigrate to the U.S. and acquire citizenship. He bought them a home next door to his own and lovingly cared for them until their passing. A devoted family man, Jim was a constant presence at his children’s sporting events, piano competitions, and dance recitals.
Jim possessed a lifelong passion for acquiring new skills and knowledge. He was endlessly curious and always searched for the best solution to a problem. Among his numerous hobbies, sailing and boating were some of his favorite pastimes. He was proud of his boat collection and enjoyed crossing the bay to relax at his second home in Sister Bay, Door County. He fancied himself a carpenter and always had several projects brewing. He believed he could fix anything with the array of professional tools in his workshop. Known for his light-hearted humor, effervescent spirit, and penchant for creating nicknames, Jim cherished casual conversations with his friends, colleagues, and patients, often at the post office or grocery store. He also enjoyed hunting, cooking, playing violin, traveling, and photography, leaving behind thousands of photos and home videos as a record of the people and life he so loved.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife and his children, Ryan (Danielle) Tandias of Milwaukee, WI and Rachel Tandias, M.D. of Cambridge, MA; his sister, Lillian Tan of River Falls, WI; and his brother-in-law, Wilson Wong of Marina del Rey, CA. Richard "Dick" Francour - June 18, 1929 - March 28, 2024

Departed: 03/28/2024 (Marinette)
Obituary Preview: RICHARD DANIEL FRANCOUR
Richard (Dick) Daniel Francour, age 94 passed away peacefully on March 28 surrounded by his loving family. Dick was the first-born son of the late Ernest and Lucille (Gorman) Francour. He was born on June 18,1929 in Racine, WI. Shortly after the family moved to Loomis, WI., and when Dick was in 1st grade the family moved to the family farm in Crivitz, WI. Farm work was a big part of the family life, but athletics quickly became an integral part of Dick’s life and those of his brothers. A graduate (and prom king) of Crivitz High School in 1947, his goal was to go to business school in Minneapolis, but the Army had other ideas. Dick served in Korea and was honorably discharged as sergeant first class. He proudly served as a front-line scout close to enemy lines, without sleeping in a bed for 6 months. Upon returning to WI, Dick began his work career in the oil/gasoline delivery industry, First at DeHart Oil, followed by Wood Oil and ultimately, he became a business owner when he bought Wood Oil changing its name to Francour Oil in 1969.
Dick met Barbara Mans at the Dome in Marinette at a dance following a basketball game. The running joke was they dated for quite a while with Dad not knowing Barb’s first name. Barb was suspicious, but finally Dick reached out to good friend, Peg Marineau to get her name and phone number. On April 16, 2024, they would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary; something that Dick was proud to share with the many new and old acquaintances he met. As business owners, he and Barb were a team in creating a great business model based on hard work, 24-hour service plus compassion for their customers. Many adults now remember the suckers Dick gave to them as children on his route. A good part of his life was traveling to follow children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to their many sporting events, concerts, theater, fundraisers, and honor events. Dick loved to share stories about his family. Together he and Barb raised 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren:
Jean (Donald) Monson; their children Sara Skarda, Laura (Eric) Tlachac and Gregory Monson. Grandchildren Luke, Connor and Benjamin Skarda; Natalie, Hailey and Lillian Tlachac. David (Lynn Beck) Francour; their children Angela (Sean) Rohland, Ryan (Amber) Francour, Chad Francour and Kaitlyn Francour. Grandchildren Liam, Jack and Benjamin Rohland; Kason and Kinsley Francour
James (Tamara Meyers) Francour; their children Adam (Amber) Francour and Karlie (Mark) Seidl. Grandchildren Asher and Aspen Francour.
Paul (Kelly Keller) Francour; their children Jakeb Francour and Mackenzie (fiancée Andrew Jornlin) Francour.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; brother, Terry (Ginny) Francour; sister-in-law, Nancy Francour plus numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents (Ernest and Lucille), his in-laws (Walter and Emma Mans), brothers Roger and Gerald and sister, Joan and sister-in-law, Suzanne.
Dick will forever be remembered for his dedication to athletics. An avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan, he was proud to have attended the infamous Ice Bowl. Dick managed the Peshtigo City baseball team for 22 years; only missing one game when daughter Jean was born on a Sunday afternoon. Countless Sundays as a family were spent at the baseball field with all the family having a role. His love for area sports began as the boys, grandsons and granddaughters began playing sports in Marinette, Wausaukee & Appleton; baseball, football, soccer and basketball received his support even after his children graduated. He was an ever-present fixture at the baseball fields in the area (even called an icon) and took pride in the care and maintenance of “his” fields. Not a blade of grass was out of place. His life touched the many youth who worked at the baseball fields under his supervision. In 2016, the Francour Baseball field was dedicated in Barb & Dick’s honor.

Bob was elected President of the Local 56 for a three-year term. He was also a Certified bricklayer Instructor for IMI (International Masonry Institution).
Bob traveled back and forth from Wisconsin to Illinois for many years for the Bricklayers & Allied Crafts Local 56 Union. Bob taught many students, including his own sons, Bob, and Chad. In 2005 Bob started Cole Masonry, with his eldest son Bob. In 2017 he was honored as a lifetime member, serving 50 years as a union bricklayer. He loved bricklaying almost as much as he loved Carol, and continued to lay brick until he was 78 years old.
He enjoyed spending time outside on his farm, playing in horseshoe leagues, German Chocolate Cake, sports, splitting/cutting firewood, and most importantly, time with his family and many friends (including a lifelong friendship with Dan and MaryAnn Coogan). He was the absolute best husband, father, grandfather, teacher, and friend. Everyone who knew him loved him. He lived a wonderful life and will be deeply missed by many.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents Alvin, Sr. and Helen “Ann” Cole, brother Alvin Cole, Jr., and grandson Tyler Anthony Robert Cole.
