She is survived by a daughter, Dana Sutton of Carthage, IL. a son, Shane Miller of Carthage, IL, a grand-daughter, Myah Sutton, her long time companion, David Fleming of Carthage, IL 3 sisters, Ruby Bessler of Morton, IL, Barbara Humphey of Morton, IL and Mary Curtis of Plymouth, IL, 2 brothers, Ray (Denise) Miller of Plymouth, IL, Tony (Marla) Miller of Littleton, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, Linda Martin, Carol Miller, Ramona Miller and Mildred Bowman and a brother, John Miller.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday January 20, 2022 at Payne cemetery south of Carthage, IL. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL. Memorials may be made to an education fund for her grand-daughter, Myah.

He was born on January 22, 1936 in Augusta, IL to Louis and Gladys Rust Lambert. He married Donna Ewing on December 24, 1955 in Plymouth, IL. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2007.
Lyman had been employed at the Plymouth Elevator and Macomb Concrete Products until retiring. He enjoyed spending his time in his garage working on lawnmowers, weed eaters or anything else that needed fixing and owned and  maintained several rental properties in Plymouth for many years.
He is survived by a son Randy Lambert of Quincy, IL, a brother, Floyd Lambert of Augusta, IL a sister, Jerrylee Beeler of Macon, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, a son, Darwin Lambert 3 sisters, 3 brothers and his special friend, Norma Gooding.

Obituary Preview: Donna L. McCutchan, 89, of Quincy, IL formerly of Plymouth, IL died at 5:15 pm Sunday January 16, 2022 in the home of her daughter in Quincy, IL.
She was born on July 23, 1932 in Blandinsville, IL to Ivan Jennings and Beatrice Brown Dowacter. She married Charles D. “Chuck” McCutchan on August 17, 1956 at the Plymouth United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on March 25, 2016. Donna was a 1949 graduate of Plymouth High School. She received her teaching degree from Western Illinois State Teachers College in Macomb, IL which started a decades long career teaching kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grades in the Plymouth Community Schools. She was beloved by her students. She was a member of the former Plymouth United Methodist Church in Plymouth and the Plymouth Women’s Research Forum. Donna was always an active and outgoing person, she loved traveling, playing golf, hunting morel mushrooms, and beach combing, looking for shells which she loved to share. She was an avid geode hunter and loved hunting them as well as exploring with her sisters, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She also loved playing bridge, bird watching, and she loved anything that was colored Orange. Donna enjoyed gardening but hated dandelions and tried to eradicate these from yards, parks, golf courses or anywhere she found the blasted things!!
She is survived by her 4 children; Steve (Cathi) McCutchan of Kenosha, Wisconsin; Stuart McCutchan of Quincy, Illinois; Valerie McCutchan of Eugene, Oregon; and Marcia DuPont of Quincy, Illinois; 6 grandchildren, Iain and Duncan McCutchan, Anna Hanold, Dustin, Merrick, and Samantha DuPont; 6 great-grandchildren, Lili and Vada DuPont, Noah, Jonas and Benjamin Mercer and Audrey Hanold; 1 brother, Albert Dowacter; 2 sisters, Shirley Downing and Ginny Dorethy.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Doris Bramkamp and Bertie Jurgens; a brother, Sid Dowacter; and a granddaughter, Laura Mae DuPont.
Cremation has been accorded. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

Ralph Marlyn Wickert - July 22, 1929 - January 08, 2022

Obituary Preview: Ralph "Marlyn" Wickert, 92, of Plymouth, IL, departed for his eternal home with our Lord on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 2:35 am.  Marlyn's family and friends who miss him dearly rejoice over his home going.
Marlyn was born July 22, 1929, to Ralph R. Wickert and Bertha L. Jones Wickert at Plymouth, IL.  His parents and sister Mariam Munson preceded him in death.  Marlyn's brother and sister-in-law Loren and Jo Wickert survive, along with four nephews and a niece:  Jerry Munson, Mike Munson, Dan Munson, Scott Wickert, and Angie Wickert Dunn.  Brother-in-law Keith Mayo survives, in addition to his children Linda Colbert, Cliff Mayo, and Marsha Mayo.  The love of Marlyn's entire life, Jeannette, survives.
Marlyn and Jeannette's three children survive:  Mark Wickert, Plymouth, IL; Marlene Forman, Macomb, IL; and Cheryl and husband Bruce Holloway, Hillsboro, MO.  Also surviving are six grandchildren:  Sasha (Richi) Wickert-Gill of San Diego, CA; Seth Wickert of Evanston, IL; Alec (Ashley) Forman of Clover, SC; Evan (Laurin) Forman of Madisonville, KY; Jacob Holloway of Hillsboro, MO, and Jessica Holloway of Hillsboro, MO.  Marlyn's seven great-grandchildren survive:  Maddox, Indy, Bowie, and Cash Forman; Remington and Hudson Forman; and Evelyn Grant.
Upon high school graduation (1947) at Plymouth, IL, Marlyn began working on the farm at Scott's Neighborhood that was owned and operated by his maternal grandparents, Iford and Ardelia Jones.  Then, in 1950, Marlyn and his best friends enlisted in the National Guard at Quincy, IL.  After basic training, Marlyn shipped out to Tokyo, Japan.  He returned to the States in 1953 and immediately invested in the family farm where he had worked.  He met Jeannette Ann Mayo and they were united in marriage on April 16, 1954.
As a newly married couple, Marlyn and Jeannette owned and operated their grain and livestock farm and raised a family, attended Scott's Church, and were part of a close-knit neighborhood.  Through the decades, they enjoyed farm life and the community of friends and neighbors who were always there supporting each other.  Upon Marlyn's retirement, he and Jeannette purchased a home in Plymouth, but the farm at Scott's Neighborhood remained his favorite place to spend time mowing or tinkering with an old tractor.  The old family farm situated in the beautiful valley just down the lane near Scott's Church was always in his blood.
Memorials may be made to Faith Fellowship Church of Tennessee or Scott's Cemetery.

She was born on August 15, 1947 in Macomb, IL to Harold Eugene and Ina Druscilla Clark VanFleet. She married Dayne R. Gooding Jr. on October 24, 1964 in Palmyra, MO. He preceded her in death on April 19, 2003.
Norma attended Plymouth Schools. She had been employed at Methode Electronics in Carthage, IL and Suzy Q,s in Plymouth, IL. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Baptist Church. Norma loved working in her garden, attending yard sales and mowing yards.
She is survived by a son; Bobby (Andrea) Gooding of Plymouth, IL, a daughter Rhonda (Rick) Adcock of LaHarpe, IL, 4 grandchildren; Dustin ( Andrea) Duffy of Kempner, TX, Jennifer (Jayson) O’Neil Duffy of  Dunlap, IL, Gera (Austin) Ufkes of Carthage, IL and Olivia (Dylan) Meyer of Manhattan, KS, 7 great-grandchildren; Braylin and Kolt Duffy, Braxton Little, Ellie and Jack O’Neil, Dayne and Decker Ufkes, a brother, Steve (Salie) VanFleet of Plymouth, IL, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and a special friend, Lyman Lambert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ina Clark VanFleet, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wanda and Dayne Gooding Sr. and a brother, Alan VanFleet.

Born September 20, 2008 in Springfield, IL Brody was the son of Brian and Mandy Hamilton.
First and foremost, Brody loved his family and friends. He also loved basketball, time spent gaming on his PS4 with family and friends, and side by side riding. He was a diehard Chicago Cubs fan until they traded Anthony Rizzo to the New York Yankees.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his sister, Kaitlyn Hamilton, Loraine; his maternal grandparents, Rick and Carolyn Homan, Augusta, his paternal grandparents, Jack and Chris Hamilton, Augusta; his maternal great grandparents; Shirley and Earlene Homan, West Point; his paternal great grandmother, Marilyn Flesner, Golden; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by maternal great grandparents; Arlo and Eileen Clampitt; paternal great grandparents, Virgil Flesner, Wayne Hamilton, and Alice Jean Vollbracht and Roy Jr.
A visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen.
A private funeral service will be held Saturday at the Living Faith United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.

Skip was a 1967 graduate of Augusta High School. He spent his lifetime in the trucking industry and currently owned and operated Ippensen Transport in Augusta, IL. His most cherished times were those that he spent with his family.
He is survived along with his wife, Mary and 4 children; James R. “Jim” (Teresa) Ippensen II of Auburn, IL, Jeff Ippensen of Augusta, IL, Julie (Ed) Wagner of Plymouth, IL and Jason (Jennifer) Ippensen of LaPrairie, IL, seven grandchildren; Jessica, Brittany, Dalton, Colton, Lane, Libby and Luke, 2 great-grandchildren, Emberleigh and Lukas, 2 sisters-in-law, Janet Ludwig and Vicki Ippensen and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Ivan “Butch” Ippensen

Obituary Preview: Laura Mae DuPont, 25, of Colorado Springs, CO., formerly of Quincy, died 9:00 a.m. Tuesday (November 30, 2021) at her family home in Quincy, IL.
She was born November 22, 1996 in Quincy, IL. the daughter of John A. and Marcia A. McCutchan DuPont.
Laura Mae was a 2015 graduate of Quincy High School and a 2019 graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She was a member of Madison Park Christian Church in Quincy. In high school, Laura Mae was involved in the music and theatre departments and Tae Kwon Do. In college, she enjoyed leading outdoor expeditions and was involved in Jiujitsu.
After college, she worked in wilderness therapy at Legacy in Utah, which entailed guiding excursions in the mountains of Utah.
While working on her master’s in psychology, she was employed with the child development center with the United States Air Force in Colorado Springs. She loved to travel. During college, she spent a semester abroad traveling extensively in Europe and Africa. She had visited 45 of the 50 states. She loved photography, horses, snowboarding, backpacking, rock climbing, and line dancing at the “Grizzly Rose”. She was very involved with Gold Star Community and loved mentoring children and people of all ages including: TAPS, Fallen Heroes Dream Ride, Snowball Express, Gary Sinese Foundation, Travis Manion Foundation, and Honoring Our Fallen to name a few.
She is survived by her mother, Marcia DuPont, Quincy; two brothers, Dustin DuPont and his wife Jena, Centennial, CO. and Merrick DuPont, Herrington, KS; her sister, Samantha Jo DuPont, Junction City, KS.; her fiancé, Creston Martin, San Antonio, TX; two nieces, Lili and Vada DuPont, Centennial, CO; her maternal grandmother, Donna McCutchan, Quincy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

Obituary Preview: Patricia A. “Patsy” Lantz, 92, of Brooklyn, peacefully passed away on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at her residence.
She was born on September 6, 1929 in Birmingham Township in Schuyler County to Grey and Mildred Phillips Hamilton.
She married Robert E. Lantz on November 5, 1949, in Augusta. He preceded her in death on January 24, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert L. Hamilton.
Patsy is survived by two daughters and one son, Vicky (Dr. Demir) Saka of Quincy, IL, Dona Lantz of Brooklyn, IL, and Dr. Patrick (Dr. Shelley Kreiter) Lantz of Winston-Salem of NC; three grandsons, Dr. Erik (Dr. Bridget Durkin) Saka of Philadelphia, PA, Nick (Dr. Vicky Pettersen) Lantz of Huntsville, TX, and Andrew (Liz) Aguilera of Charlotte, NC; one great granddaughter, Emory Rose Aguilera of Charlotte, NC; and one brother, Don (Chuck) Hamilton of Augusta, IL; and one sister-in-law, Eleanor (Polly) Smith of Quincy, IL and several nieces and nephews.
Patsy graduated from Augusta High School in 1947.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her children and she cherished the time she spent with her grandsons. She was an avid flower gardener specializing in roses and she enjoyed sharing flowers with friends and family. Patsy hunted arrowheads and collected antiques. She also enjoyed feeding summer and winter birds. During Bob’s career, Patsy and Bob lived in twelve homes throughout Illinois before retiring to Brooklyn. She made each residence a home and became involved in the community and local church. After she and Bob retired to the Brooklyn farm she enjoyed hosting family and community get togethers where they made apple butter, cider, sorghum molasses, and maple syrup.
Patsy worked outside the home for several years until Bob and she retired to Brooklyn. She first worked at Dennis Chicken Products in Augusta, then a flower shop in Macomb, then at the agriculture department at U. of I. Champaign/Urbana, the Circuit Clerk’s office in Carthage and a frame shop in Carbondale. She enjoyed working at the florists and frame shop the most but she thought of herself first and foremost as a wife, mother and homemaker.
Patsy was a member of the Brooklyn United Methodist Church and served as a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years.

Elzie A Kirby - July 26, 1925 - November 10, 2021

Obituary Preview: Elzie Arlando Kirby, 96, of Anna, IL formerly of Bowen, IL died at 11:45 am Wednesday November 10, 2021 at the Illinois Veterans Home in Anna, IL.
He was born on July 16, 1925 in Bowen, IL to Roy and Grace Russ Kirby. He married Alberta S. Klingler on October 22, 1949 in Sutter, IL. She survives.
Elzie was a lifelong farmer in the Bowen area until his retirement. Besides farming, Elzie worked part time at the Crossland meat locker in Bowen.  He was a graduate of Bowen High School, where he enjoyed running track. Elzie served his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1943 to 1946, in WWII, where he was in the battle of Iwo Jima.  He was then in Japan, after the atomic bombing.  Elzie enjoyed many activities; playing softball, cards, bowling, pitching horseshoes and camping. He was a member of the Living Faith United Methodist Church, in Bowen, IL.
Elzie is survived by his wife, Alberta Kirby of Anna; his son, Alan (Linda) Kirby of Vienna; a daughter, Marsha Icenogle of Macomb; three grandchildren; Makenzie (Nathan) Spinks of Vienna, Ehren (Brandi) Kirby of Marion, Andrew (Jordan) Kirby of Anna; two great grandchildren; Andersyn and Adley, along with his third great grandchild expected in January.
He was preceded in death by Father Roy Mother Grace Kirby, a brother Marvin Kirby and a sister Lillian McClain.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday November 16, 2021 at the Living Faith United Methodist Church in Bowen, IL with Pastor Sheri Renner officiating. Burial with Military Honors by the United States Marine Corps Military Honors Detail and the Hancock County Honor Guard will be in Bowen cemetery. Karen was a 1962 graduate of Central High School in Camp Point, IL. She had worked as a waitress in area restaurants for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Golden. Karen enjoyed motorcycle riding and road tripping with Larry in antique cars, but her most cherished times were that she spent with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived along with her husband Larry by 2 daughters; Tammy (Kevin) Winebrinner of Golden, IL and Angela Hughes of LaPrairie, IL. 5 grandchildren. Nichole (Anthony) Dearwester, Austin (Michaela) Winebrinner, Tyler, Dalton and Cody Snell, 2 great-grandchildren, Abigail Dearwester and Olivia Winebrinner, a sister, Anita Habibi of Golden, IL, 6 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin sons, Bradley and Brent Hughes and 2 brothers-in-law, Stanley Lee and Michael Andrew Hughes.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday November 10, 2021 at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL with Rev. Sheri Renner officiating. She was born on October 19, 1924 near LaPrairie, IL to Albert and Minnie Herren Redenius. She married Ed Totsch on October 28, 1943 in Palmyra, Mo. He preceded her in death on July 3, 1997.
Lorene along with her husband Ed farmed in Bowen, IL until retiring. She attended school to the 8th grade and was proud along with all of her family that she received her GED when she was 62 years of age. Lorene was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowen where she taught Sunday school and was active in many of the church functions. She was an active member of the Augusta Senior Citizens Center and served as chairman of the floral department at the Hancock County Fair for many years.
She is survived by a son-in-law, Harold Robbins of Sandston, VA, a son, James (Janet) Totsch of Quincy, IL, a daughter, Sharon (Buddy) Sims of Lawrenceburg, KY, 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Joyce Robbins, 2 brothers, Mervin and Virgil Redenius and a sister, Margaret Greenough.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday September 10, 2021 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bowen, IL with Pastor Mark Jauss officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of services Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Quincy Memorial Park cemetery in Quincy, IL. Donald was a 1946 graduate of Golden High School. After graduation he served his country in Korea with the United States Army and received 2 purple hearts. After completing his service he returned to Golden and was employed by Eicken Implement in Golden for 5 years and then farmed for over 50 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden and a lifetime member of the Golden American Legion. Donald was an avid bowler and enjoyed boating, camping and watching football and NASCAR racing on TV.
He is survived by 2 daughters; Toni Gieker (Rex Hicks) of Clayton, IL and Luan Clampitt (Frank Dieterle) of Golden, IL, 4 grandchildren, Kelly (Shawn) Schreacke of Quincy, IL, Carrie Herkert of Camp Point, IL, Max (Sadie) Clampitt of Bowen, IL and Megan Griffin of Golden, IL, 12 great-grandchildren; Nicole, Tiffany, Gavin, Emily, Eric, Levi, Elaina, Conner, Cael, Lucas, Nora and A.J.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruby Schlueter.

Hilda along with her husband Edward owned and operated the Augusta Western Auto Store for 49 years retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Augusta Women’s Club, VFW Post 9029 Auxiliary the Augusta Lions Club. She was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Macomb, IL.  She was a resident of Wesley Village for the past 12 years.

She was born on March 30, 1949 in Macomb, IL to Frank and Vera (Creasy) Clark. Judy was a graduate of Colchester High School and attended the Burlington, IA Beauty Academy. She married Dennis (Zeke) Williams in July of 1969 and later married Jim Easley in September of 1972.   She owned and operated her own beauty salon as well as managed deli/bakeries in NC & SC.  She later opened The Country Bake Shop in Colchester, IL.  She was an active member of the Colchester United Methodist Church. Judy cherished all the times that she spent attending her grandchildren’s sporting events & activities, and spending time with her beloved dog Carly. Her grandchildren all called her “Nanny” and they all would introduce her as such, she was not just known as Judy.  She had a best friend in South Carolina, Martha (Winston) Tyler, she also had a special friend, Tom Manuel, whom she spent a lot of time with.
She is survived by her 2 sets of twin children; Dennis Williams of Colchester, IL and Deidre Carson of Tennessee, IL and Jennifer (Allen Wiskirchen) Easley of LaGrange, MO and Jannell (Joe) Ratcliff of Astoria, IL, 12 grandchildren; Makenzie, Hunter, Blaine and Chance Williams, Hannah and Bryce Nelson, Brenden, Jacob and Gabi Kreps, Taylor (Andrew) Boland, Breckon McKinney and Bailey (Zeke) Schieferdecker and 5 Step grandchildren; Haley (Jared) Lascelles, Allyson, DJ, Daisy and Dawson Ratcliff, and a brother, Ronnie (Martha) Clark of Colchester, IL. as well as a niece Carol Lawson and 2 nephews, PJ and Jeff Clark.

Frederick Aaron Weinberg - May 10, 1927 - May 13, 2021

Obituary Preview: Frederick Aaron Weinberg, 94, of Augusta, IL died quietly on Thursday May 13, 2021, at Carthage Memorial Hospital.  He was born to Francis and Rachel Hecketsweiler Weinberg on May 10, 1927 in the family home in Augusta.  He graduated in 1945 from Augusta Community High School. He grew up in Augusta and was actively involved in FFA in high school.  In World War II he served in the Army Air Corp, 1945 – 46, in Honolulu, Hawaii, as a military clerk.
In 1961, Frederick married Iola Sapp Myers who preceded him in death in 1999.  His oldest stepson, Larry Myers died in 2016 and his niece Sara Hohe died in 2020.
Frederick worked in the family trucking and livestock businesses with his father and brother, Tom.  He also worked at the Illinois Veterans Home in Quincy.  In recent years, he and his son, Jeff, raised beef cattle.
He was well-known for his love of pets – dogs and cats.  He also enjoyed his friends and classmates, especially the reunions, in Augusta for some time.  His favorite activity has been going to The Coop in Plymouth for dinner and then on a countryside ride to check on the fields and animals with his brother.
Survivors include his daughter Julie (Ron) Hiland, his son Jeffery (Dawn) Weinberg, his stepdaughters Sandra (Ben) Hilton and Susie (Jesse) Rivas, his stepdaughter-in-law Anita Covert Myers, his stepsons, Meredith (Cathy) Myers, Michael Myers, and Mark (Melinda) Myers.  He is also survived by his sister, Mary Weinberg Hohe, and brother, Thomas Weinberg, his nephew Neill (Keisha) Weinberg and niece Charity Weinberg.  Frederick is survived by one granddaughter, three grandsons, seven step-granddaughters, four step-grandsons, 2 great-grandchildren, 27 step-great-grandchildren, and 8 step-great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Burial with Military Honors by the Illinois Military Funeral Honors Detail will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Augusta, IL. He was born on October 26, 1955 in Macomb, IL to Adron O. and B. Florence Vogler Akers. He was united in marriage to Rita L. Thomas on October 28, 1978 at the Plymouth Baptist Church. She survives. Eldon was a 1973 graduate of Plymouth High School.  A 46 year employee of NTN Bower in Macomb, IL Eldon enjoyed all things mechanical.  His favorite pass time was restoring his 1972 Dodge Charger Rallye focusing on finding original parts.  He also enjoyed coffee with his friends at local diners and working on various vehicles in his garage.  He was a former member of the Hancock County Gun Club.  When not outside, he could be found reading Louis L’Amour novels or enjoying his wife’s home cooked meals, most especially her cinnamon rolls.  Eldon enjoyed texting his grandchildren funny pictures and always ended his texts with “PaPa loves you.”
He is survived by two daughters, Andrea L. Peters of Tracy, CA, Kimberly Kepple (Jeremy Payne) of Louisville, KY.  He was a proud PaPa to Katalina and Roman Peters and Aspyn Rachel Kepple.  One brother, Calvin (Dottie) Akers of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, two sisters, Joyia (Duane) Hoyt of Carthage, IL, Bonnie (Keith) Mayall of Plymouth, IL.  His father-in-law, Keith Thomas, many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Rachel Thomas and a brother, Gary Akers as well as his mother-in-law, Thelma Thomas and sister-in-law Judy Wiseman.

He was born October 29, 1942 in Peoria IL., the son of Leslie Dale and Gladys Gwendolyn (Liston) Mayo. He married Nancy M. Kolb in 1964 and they had three children: Kris Mayo (Warrenville), Kurt (Heidi McMurren) Mayo (Plymouth), and Kory (Art) Jackson (Germantown Hills). They divorced in 1978. He then married Cynthia M. Fitzpatrick Smith on November 1, 1984. They survive.
He is also survived by three step daughters, Tricia (Mike) Mason (Dunlap), Jeni Sander (Peoria), Michele Smith (Mapleton), two granddaughters, Lindy and Layne Jackson, seven step-grandchildren, Logan and Avery Mason, Dakota Smith and Chloe Sander, Blake, Kaitlyn and Jamie Vest, sister Vicki(Sterling Kernek) Mayo (Macomb), sister-in-law Patricia Mayo (Plymouth), three nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jerry D. Mayo.
Terry was a 1960 graduate of Industry High School. He served in the US Navy from 1960-1963. He worked at Caterpillar in East Peoria for 30 years as an electrician, retiring in 1993. In 1994, he and Cindy built a home on the farm where he was raised. They lived there until 2009 and then moved to Dunlap. He was a life member of American Legion Post #912. He played fast-pitch softball for many years, was an avid outdoorsman, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. One of his proudest accomplishments was completing the 1981 St. Louis Marathon. He was a devoted St. Louis Cardinal fan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday April 24, 2021 at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (former Plymouth Methodist Church) in Plymouth, Illinois with Reverend Timothy Wynne officiating. Burial will follow at Scott’s Cemetery near Plymouth where full military rights will be accorded. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the time of services at the PCCC.

Ronald was born February 13, 1944, in Quincy, the son of Albert Leland McClelland and Hazel Maurine Phillips McClelland of Stillwell. He married Karen E. Larsen on Jan. 28, 1967, in Gurnee, IL. She preceded him in death on September 17, 2011.  He married Linda Acker Ward on July 12, 2014, in Quincy.  She survives.
Ronald was raised on a livestock and grain farm in Hancock County and continued to raise angus cattle for the rest of his life. Ronald was a graduate of Bowen High School. He received his bachelors and masters degrees from the College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois. Following college, he settled outside of Mendon where he lived for almost 50 years before eventually retiring to Quincy.
Ronald worked at Moorman Manufacturing Company for over 20 years.  During that time he rose to the level of Vice President, was a member of the board of directors, and also served as the President of Quincy Soybean Company. Following his career at Moorman’s, he worked as a financial advisor for Smith Barney and Merrill Lynch until retiring in 2015. Ronald was an avid Illini fan, served as a 4-H leader for many years, was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, and enjoyed attending regional angus cattle shows and sales.
Survivors in addition to his wife include two children, Tim McClelland of San Francisco, and Carla (Steve) McClelland-Schnelle of Ursa; two grandchildren, Brad Chailland of Rogers, AR and Allison Chailland of Ursa; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Massa of Fort Myers, FL; a sister-in-law, Karol McClelland of West Point, IL.; a sister-in-law, Martha (Mike) Landsman of Sun City Center, FL.; a cousin, Glenadine (Larry) Webster of Bowen; six nieces and nephews, Mike (Katrina) McClelland of Bowen, Valerie (Steve) Peterson of Bowen, and Vicki (John) Eilers of Augusta, Michael (Chontey) Landsman of Palmerton, PA, Linda (Mark) Crossman of Mount Dora, FL, Larry (Stephanie) Landsman of Orlando, FL; 12 great-nieces and great-nephews and two brothers-in-law, Thomas (Susan) Acker of Rushville, IL and James (Kelley) Acker of Ashland, IL.
