Bridget "Terry" Mueller - July 11, 1940 - August 16, 2023

Obituary Preview: Christened Bridget Olive Cogan, Terry was fondly known as Olive Cogan by her family and friends in her hometown of Ballaghadereen in County Roscommon, Ireland. At age 17 she immigrated to America for job opportunities. While living with an aunt in Boston she was renamed Terry - why no one really knows. Terry moved to New York after visiting with another aunt who lived in Rockaway, NY., while there she became a key punch operator and worked on Wall Street in Manhattan. She thoroughly enjoyed the Irish dances in Woodside, Queens, fell in love with a Brooklyn man and became a devoted wife and mother. They left the city and happily raised their growing family in Greenwood Lake, NY. for the next 48 years. Terry is renowned for loving people, her Irish roots along with all things Irish and her Irish Soda Bread. She and her husband were one of the first families to join the Gaelic Cultural Society, and were proudly honored as Celts of the year.
Terry peacefully passed away surrounded by her four children at her eldest daughter's home in Milford, Pa. where she resided for almost the last 2 years of her life. She remains a sweet and loving soul who lives on in the presence of Jesus.
Terry was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Bill Mueller (New York). Her father Jack Cogan and mother Catherine Cogan (Ireland), sisters Maureen Cogan (Ireland), Veronica Becker (England), Frances Hughes (England), Rita Melia (Ireland). She is survived by her brother Jim Cogan and his wife Pauline and family (Ireland), brother Michael Cogan (England), sister Betty Cogan (Ireland) and family, sister Nano Connolly and her family (Ireland), nieces and nephew of the Melia Family (Ireland), cousins Philomena (Duffy) McCloskey and family (New York) and many friends from all over.
Terry is also survived by her adoring four children and their spouses- Vicki and John Basilio, Bill and Jessica Mueller, Cathy and Robert Costantino, Maureen and David Van Doran. Also beloved by her grandchildren and their spouses - Chelsea and Jonathan Baines, Ryan Burt, Ella Basilio, Ashley Mueller, Conor Mueller, Cayleigh Mueller, Marissa and Chase Coyne, Madeline Costantino, Jasmine and Eduardo Villegas.
She was a special great-grandmother to Caleb, Elias, Hailey, Adalyn, Serenity, Luna and Eduardo. Obituary Preview: On August 4, 2023, at 11:49 PM, we bid farewell to Albert DeVarti, a resident of Greenwood Lake, NY, who passed away at The Willows at Ramapo Rehabilitation Center in Suffern, NY. His battle against advanced lung cancer ended, leaving us with memories of a life well-lived.
Born on January 7, 1941, in Jersey City, NJ, Albert touched countless lives in his 82 years. He proudly served his nation as part of the US Navy. Following his service, he embarked on a successful career in sales, with notable stints at Straub Motors and Miracle Ear, where he demonstrated his talent and dedication.
His beloved wife, Lorraine DeVarti, and his children, Michael DeVarti, Lisa Snook (and husband Dave Snook), and Suzanne Martin, survive him. He also leaves behind his stepchildren, Theresa Hunt (and husband George Hunt) and Steven Chanis (and wife Deb Chanis), along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Al was especially appreciative of the tireless support extended by the Meli family, namely Charlie, Jesse, Sam, and Kim.
The void left by Al's departure will be profoundly felt by his family, friends and loved ones. His influence and spirit have become an integral part of their lives.
Strong Basile Funeral Home in Greenwood Lake, NY, will handle Albert's final rites, including his cremation. A ceremony of remembrance, encompassing prayers and a shared meal, will be scheduled at a subsequent date to honor his memory. She was predeceased by her sister Frances Patricia Duffy.

Helen is survived by her sister Janet Middleton of Warwick; her son, E. Gordon Strong of Beavercreek OH, and his wife Karla and daughter Katya; and her daughter Linda Strong-Denerley of Warwick, and her husband Ryan Denerley and daughter Anaia.
Helen was beloved by her family and friends in both Warwick and Naples for her selfless, giving nature, and warm, generous hospitality.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, where he served during the Korean War. Following his military service, Dominick worked and retired from Teamsters Local 456. Following his retirement from the Teamsters he was a longtime bus driver for the Greenwood Lake School District.
He was an avid reader and loved history. He loved traveling, especially his trips to Florida and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dominick was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and the Greenwood Lake American Legion.
He was the widower of Estelle Christiano.
Survivors include his children Joseph Christiano and his wife Judy of Michigan; Gary Christiano and his wife Eileen of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. and Allison Cernuto and her husband John Cernuto Jr. of Greenwood Lake, N.Y. His grandchildren Johnny, Nicholas, Deanna, Dominick, Victoria and Emma. His great-grandchildren Kassidy and Deangelo and his nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Anthony and his grandsons Joey and Anthony.

Nicholas III was an active member of his local church and was a loving father to Christian Bunker. His memories will live on forever in our hearts and he will be greatly missed.
Nicholas III is survived by his son Christian Bunker, his father Nicholas Edward Donato, Jr., his sister Khrystina Francis Donato, and his stepmother Donna Maria Renna. Nicholas III also leaves behind his niece Seraphina Donato, his aunts, Rene Donatelli, Dawn Donato and Mechel Donato, his uncles, Robert Donatelli Sr., Lorne LaMonica and William Miesner, and his cousins John V. Donato, Sr., Robert Donatelli, Nicky Donatelli, and Billy Donato. We know Nicholas III will be greeted on the other side by his deceased grandfather Nicholas Edward Donato Sr. and his cousin Michael Donatelli. Brock was a veteran, a software engineer, a network engineer, an inventive tinkerer whose many hobbies included piloting and rebuilding drones, rocketry where he built his own rockets and engines, RC racing of gas boats and cars with a backyard car racetrack he designed and had built.
Brock was a gentleman, an honest, caring, patient and fun-loving man. He had a exceptional wit and sense of humor that just made people love him more. Brock was a generous man, giving RC cars, drones, boats to others in his community just so they could have some fun too. He welcomed people into his home and was always a gracious host.
Well loved by his neighbors and friends, left a positive, lasting impression upon folks he interacted with.

The son of the late Salvatore and Lena LaRocca, he was born on December 23, 1945 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
Frank was the happiest when spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren. He shared a special bond with Marisa and Brian, the apples of his eye.
He will be remembered as a world class jazz guitarist, playing in some of the best clubs in N.Y. City. This led to his passion for teaching where he instilled his wisdom on aspiring musicians throughout the years. He was loved and will be missed by many.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years Carole LaRocca. His daughters Lisa LaRocca and Amy Ferranti and her husband Robert and his grandchildren Marisa and Brian. He is also survived by his sister Rose and several nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his two sons Richard Sparks and his wife Kaitlyn and Josef Sparks. His granddaughter Lydia and his sister Sherry as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother and his sister.
Carl was a proud supporter of the Warwick Animal Shelter.

Obituary Preview: Caroline "Bubbles" Miracco
Born Caroline Zazzaro in Brooklyn, N.Y. on June 29, 1929, and was raised by her uncle Guido "Willie" Zazzaro and his wife Josephine after spending time in an orphanage.
Life was tough during the great depression and as a teenager she had to work to help support the household. Making matters even tougher she was separated from her beloved younger sister Frances.
In 1950 she married Joseph "Sonny" Miracco at Our Lady of Grace Church in Brooklyn and had a son Robert in 1956 and centered into the role of housewife, mother and part-time employee again to help support the household. In 1968 at the urging of her sister Frances, she applied for a Teller's position at First National City (today's Citibank).
In 1975 she and Joe were able to realize the American Dream and bought a new home on Staten Island. All the while by working hard she elevated herself to be the First Female Head Teller at a Wall Street Bank and eventually was promoted to Assistant Vice-President, all without a High School Diploma.
Caroline enjoyed cooking and crocheting and was a frequent visitor and eventual resident of Greenwood Lake.
She is survived by her son Robert and her daughter-in-law Lori.
Visitation hours will be held on Sunday December 18, 2022 from 1-4 P.M. at the Strong Basile Funeral Home 4 Oak St. Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
Burial will be held at a later date in St. Charles Cemetery in Pinelawn, N.Y.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project; Tunnels for Towers or St. Judes Children's Hospital.

He was a member of IBEW 363 Electrical Union. He was also a member of Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. He was also a founding member of the Southside Rod and Gun Club.
Billy was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the lake he grew up on most of his life. Billy had an infectious smile towards everyone he met.
Survivors include his loving wife Carolyn, his sisters Anne Marie and Karen. His nieces Mariah, Ashley and Abigail and his nephews Andrew and Christopher. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Michael Sicheri.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday December 15 2022 at 11 A.M. in Holy Rosary Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

His grandchildren Jordan, Maycie, Samantha, Emily and Abigail. He is also survived by his sister Barbara Cardinale of Congers, N.Y. and several nieces and nephews.

Karen, the daughter of the late Charles Petersen and Joan Gastel Petersen, was born on January 30th, 1960 in National Park, N.J.
Karen was known by all for her smile and warm, loving nature. She was a devoted wife to her husband Bill, having just celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary. Bill was her best friend and together they raised a beautiful family. Karen's catch-phrase to her family members was always "I love you to pieces". Family meant the world to her and becoming a grandmother last year was something that she had always dreamed of and took great pride in.
Karen was most known to the community as being part-owner, along with Toni Ehlers, of Little Buddies Preschool in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. which just celebrated their 25th graduation ceremony. Aside from being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, teaching was one of her greatest passions in life and brought her so much joy. Karen was dubbed "Mayor of Munchkinville" by her family as she could not go anywhere within the village without hearing someone calling out "Hi Ms. Karen!".
Karen was also a former dispatcher for the Greenwood Lake Police Department, a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Greenwood Lake, N.Y. where she previously taught Sunday School, and was formerly an active part of the Greenwood Lake Soccer Club, Girl Scouts, and Girls Softball.
Survivors include her husband William "Bill" Sahler of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; daughter Courtney Sahler and her wife Paula of Albany, N.Y.; son William Sahler of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; daughter Chelsea Conklin and her husband Michael of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; mother Joan Petersen of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; brother Thomas O'Brien of Greenwood Lake, N.Y.; grandchildren Ashlyn Sahler, Michael Conklin Jr., and Gatlin Sahler; and extended family Cathy, Jeff, and Jeffrey Hoffman of Monroe, N.Y. Additional survivors include all of her former Little Buddies students, whom she also considered extended family. She was predeceased by her sister Joanne O'Brien and her father Charles Petersen.
