Hayden James Ransonet - March 02, 1943 - March 12, 2022

Departed: 03/12/2022 (New Iberia)
Obituary Preview: A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 26th, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Loreauville for Hayden James Ransonet, age 79 who passed away March 12, 2022, at Iberia Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will follow the memorial service at Harold Landry Memorial Park until 4:00PM.
Hayden Ransonet was a lifelong resident of Loreauville and was affectionately known to many as Mutchie. He was a great man with a great soul who never missed a chance to help those who needed it. It was not uncommon to see him cooking for benefits and other gatherings, giving of himself to help in any way he could.
He was a master carver and woodworker, creating works of art that last forever. A piece of himself lives on in each creation he made. Mutchie was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved being in the woods enjoying God’s creations. He was one with nature and the peace it brought to him. He was a hard worker, having worked in the oilfield for Texaco and even in his retirement keeping busy with all of his hobbies. Despite a terrible hunting accident which left him with a significant disability, Mutchie continued to give of himself to his community and family. He never let his disability interfere with his ability to achieve anything he set his mind to. He was a true example of a can do spirit. That was who he was. Mutchie had many accomplishments and things he built in life, but the one that made him proudest was the family that he and his wife of 57 years created. He was extremely proud of his two children and grandchildren, always enjoying his time spent with them. He lived a good life with Earline and his children by his side. He was loved by his family and his Loreauville community. His legacy and his memories will live on forever.
Survivors include his wife Earline Richard Ransonet of Loreauville, LA; Son: Chuck Ransonet (Misty) of St. Martinville, LA; Daughter: Shantel Ransonet of St. Martinville, LA; Brother: Hansel Ransonet (Debbie) of Loreauville, LA; Sisters: Phyllis Anderpont(Wayne) and Abby Ransonet (Lynn)  both of Lafayette, LA. Two Grandchildren: Jake Richard of Loreauville, LA and Hazie Latiolas of St. Martinville, LA; Two Great-Grandchildren:  Branson Richard of Loreauville, LA and Beaux Michael Bourque of St. Martinville, LA.
Hayden is preceded in death by his parents: Sadie Joseph Ransonet and Daisy Breaux Ransonet; Brother: Gary “Buck” Ransonet. Family and friends may post online messages of condolences for the Ransonet family by visiting our website at www.darbyandgreene.com of our Facebook page at Greene Funeral Home and Cremation Service, New Iberia, LA

Kaven Vernon Migues - June 27, 1959 - January 21, 2022

Departed: 01/21/2022 (New Iberia)
Obituary Preview: New Iberia, LA- Kaven Vernon Migues entered eternal rest January 21, 2022, at his residence in Denham Springs, LA Graveside services will be held January 29, 2022, at 12:00pm at United Pentecostal Church
Cemetery, Cypremort Point, LA. Pastor Ron Perkins will be officiating.
Kaven was a a loving and faithful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
Kaven had amazing talent as an artist and enjoyed his time painting, pen and ink, oils, watercolor, and woodworking. Our home is well decorated, and we have sold it to art lovers with many requests he couldn't get to for the trains.
He took many classes and received two Associated degrees and one Bachelor of Science in Business Management. He worked for the city at the election polls on election days. Designed the company floor plans and charting as a technical business analyst also using his electronics degree at Cox Communications for 24 years. He drew the picture of the Mayor of New Orleans for his office.  He studied finance with his wife and took time for church events for the youth groups and field trips to monasteries. He enjoyed time and dinners with his Bishop in Baton Rouge. The Mayor of Baton Rouge loved him so much and his talents. He was a member of Friends of Hilltop Arboretum at LSU enjoying the loving members, club facilities and grounds, nature plants, flowers, gardening, and bird watching as well as feeding our birds in our wrap around garden outside of our wall long window in our living room.
Kaven was a great shopper, always picking the best gifts and food for our organic, mostly vegan, gluten free diet.
Kaven designed his kitchen after the flood and had many great artistic ways to do things that were very much enjoyed.
He helped everyone and was loved by everyone he met. His glowing smile saw only good in everyone, and we are very proud of him.
His grandfather, Pastor Reverend Mitless Verret taught him, "Love", was the way to live. Kaven said, "I love you and I appreciate you always every day!!  He grew up with his grandfather next door and was with him at church and home in any way he could. He chose to be like his grandfather in every way. He made his library and office with wall-to-wall books. Grandfather was born Catholic and became a Pentecostal minister. Kaven was born Pentecostal and lived his second life Catholic, Pentecostal, and Jewish with such joy. He was honored to have his experiences with Christ.
His favorite restaurant was Jewish in New Orleans, and he could quote the scriptures very fast impressing everyone. His love of family and life had him traveling and on the road seeing the finest life had to offer from the beach to the mountains. Mike built the fireworks displays that took up a mile of the beach with the men putting the show on for us to see from upstairs on the beach house balcony. Cars were parked for a mile in streets and Kaven was so proud of Mike because he helped get Mike well from a terminal illness to running his own company.  Thank you, God!
He just loved his family, cooked breakfast for grandchildren and great grandchildren, going out to eat, cracker barrel whatever they wanted, to the movies, everything fun and laughter with love. Jacob always ran in the door straight to Kavens arms. Kaven was so thrilled when he heard our kids will be here soon.
When he got sick, he lost his joy and went back to the Pentecostal church and found his joy thanks to Joshua! Kaven was so close to Joshua always and kept Nathaniel in his heart watching for posts from Taylor about the happy very busy life. Kaven kept birthday dates on his desk and waited for them.
His life was short, but he lived well and did as much as he could. We miss you!!! and love you with all our hearts! You are a child of God and Royalty!  Obituary written  for Kaven by his loving wife Donna.
