Jason gave his life to Christ at an early age,where he became a member of First Baptist Ninth Street. He was a member of many ministries at First Baptist Ninth  St, his favorite was being a youth advisor for the youth department (Word Steppers). He was a product of Bessemer City Schools. While playing the Trombone in the band during high school he met and later married his high school sweetheart Hoppe J. Amison. Jason was a Masons member of Geometry Lodge #410-Prince Hall. He leaves to cherish his loving and devoted wife of 17 years Hoppe J. Mr. Cedric Swain - October 15, 1962 - March 27, 2024

Obituary Preview: Cedric Elton Swain was born on October 15, 1962 to Norman and Wilhelmina Swain. He departed this life on March 27, 2024 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by both parents and two brothers, John Fenton Swain and Harry Dean Twyman.
Cedric was a 1981 graduate of Talladega High School.  He married Cynthia Spratling and joined the U.S. Navy where he served and was discharged. He returned home to Talladega. In 2022 he moved to Ashland, AL where he lived out his life until he made his final journey and went to rest.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a dedicated lifelong partner of 20+ years, LaStella Chappell, who chose exclusive devotion to his caregiving giving him her undying love. Through the union with Cynthia Spratling Swain  he leaves to cherish his memories three step-children  Desi (Faith) Spratling, Demetrius (Deneisha) Spratling , and Sheika Spratling - his Princess - “He was my Daddy and I am his Princess!” As he would say “My Pooh!”
Michael Lamar Swain was born to their union and later he was privileged to have Xzavier Demetrius and Quindarius Rashaude Swain. He leaves sisters, Geraldine Twyman of Sylacauga, AL and Sheila Chappell (Cecil) of Anniston, AL., brothers, Lawarren Lee and Norman Fitzgerald (Tina) of Talladega, AL. an adopted brother, John David  Haynes Jr. of Talladega, AL and a faithful brother from another mother who has supported him with selfless love and dedication, Cedric Garrett. He leaves 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Cedric will forever be remembered for his infectious spirit of dance, laughter and singing. He no longer has to suffer and has relinquished the cares of this world!!

He attended school at an early age in Michigan before eventually relocating to Roanoke, AL along with his mother where he would reside until the Lord called him home. He attended school in Roanoke, AL as well.
Anthony was considered to be the life of the party by his family even though he was very quiet, when it was time to have fun you could always count him in.
He held many jobs during his life and was considered to be a hard working individual by his family. He was employed with Plantation Patterns of Wadley, AL and also Traylors Nursing Home in Roanoke in his later years.
On March 21,2024 Anthony traded time for eternity at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, Georgia following a brief illness. He is preceded in death by his father, his grandparents the late Revered James Guy Sr, and Georgia Guy one sister: Brenda Guy
He leaves to cherish his memories of his daughter: Mya Allen.His caring mother Elizabeth Hatcher.  One grandson: Peyton Sherman; His siblings; Janin Guy and Desmond Guy. Uncle Lester Stephens and aunt Deloris Allen Gains. Special cousins: Bobby Allen and Melissa Allen. A host of family members and friends.

Tasha was so blessed for the love of children, and because of this, she was often the trusted,  and designated babysitter for so many families. She had such a great passion for children, of  all ages.
Tasha had such a love for her family and friends, that the circle could not be broken, and If  you needed her she was there, no questions asked.
Tasha, lived in the Grider -Ferry Community for over 20 years before making a decision, as  well as, wanting a better lifer for her and her baby girl Tysha, Tasha made a decision to move  to Alabama, six months ago, to be with family that has supported and helped her and Tysha  for many years of their life, in Buffalo, New York. Stanley graduated from Jess Lanier High School and after high school worked at the Wynfrey Hotel for over 15 years. He loved to dance and have a good time. He was loved by everyone he worked with and the Southside Community. Stanley was the baby of the family so when his health declined all his siblings and family stepped in to help care for him until the Lord called him home.

Leonia graduated from Crenshaw High School in 1991. While in school she enjoyed dancing and being a part of her school dance team. After high school she held many different jobs while in California and Alabama some which include: Modeling, Footlocker, Chase Bank (teller) Mohawk, Walmart (CSM), Taco Bell (Manager), and finally with CorLinc in Roanoke, AL.
In 2007 She set out to return to her family roots of Randolph County, AL. She successfully completed that task with her daughters Meagan, and Kiara. Leonia enjoyed helping coach her daughters through sports, Handley High School Marching Band and dance through the years. She was so fond of dancing that she would often help with the dance ministry at the different churches throughout the area. Leonia was a member at the New Dimension Worship Center in Lanett, AL under the leadership of Bishop Donald Lancaster.
On Saturday Morning January 27, 2024 around 2:15 A.M. Leonia traded time for eternity at her Roanoke, AL home following a courageous battle with Breast Cancer. Leonia is survived by her two loving daughters; Megan and Kiara Carter of Roanoke, AL. Her Mother: Myrtis Williams (Noah) Compton, Cali,. Obituary Preview: Reverend David Walter Wilkinson was born on October 12,1970 in Clay County, AL, to the parentage of the Late Harvey and Faye Mitchell Wilkinson.
He attended school in the Clay County School system and was a member of the Clay County Panther football team. He graduated from Clay County High School in 1988. After he graduated high school, he spent many years in the Poultry Farming business.
Reverend Wilkinson served as the Pastor of the Grace Worship Center in Ashland, AL until his health declined.
His love for Motorcycles was evident, as his family remembers him for all of his bike rides, and his faithfulness to the Hades Hounds of Alabama Guardians Motorcycle Club. David was a proud Alabama Football Fan, and a great family man, his proudest moments in life were watching his children, and grandchildren become good and successful family members.
David was a member of the Coppermine Volunteer Fire Department where he also served as Chaplain.
On Monday afternoon January 1, 2024, David quietly transitioned from this life at his residence in Lineville, AL with his family at his side.
Reverend Wilkinson is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Faye Mitchell Wilkinson.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his loving wife; Angel Wilkinson of Lineville, AL. His Children; Lisa (Nick) Hill of Gadsden, AL; Amanda Wilkinson of Lineville, AL; Austin (MaKayla) Wilkinson of Mellow Valley, AL; and Dawson (Mackenzie) Wilkinson of Lineville, AL. Kenneth T. Meigs - December 12, 1941 - December 08, 2023

Obituary Preview: Kenneth T. Meigs was born on December 12, 1941 in LaFayette, AL, to the parentage of the late Henry and Mattie Meigs.
He graduated from Valley High School in 1960, following graduation he would pursue his college degree, and later attended and successfully graduated from Southern Union State Community College.
Kenneth accepted Christ at the age of 14 and was United with the Valley First Assembly of God  Church where he served as the District Commander of the Assembly of God Royal Rangers. Later in life he moved his membership to the Evangel Temple Church where he served as a Deacon.
On June 23, 1963 he married the love of his life Mrs. Sharon Meigs at Calvary Baptist Church in Hughley, AL, and would remain faithful to her for 60 years.
Kenneth enjoyed many lines of work during his lifetime and was often known to his family as the “Jack of all trades”. He enjoyed working as a “Beekeeper” from age 12, and was an active member of the Alabama Beekeepers Association. He was an Alabama Licensed Insurance Agent for Gulf Life Insurance for a long period of time. In 1974 Kenneth opened Meigs Plumbing and Electrical Services and ran it successfully until his health began to decline.
On Friday December 8, 2023 Kenneth passed away at his home surrounded by his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son Jacob Meigs.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his wife of 60 years; Sharon Meigs of Lanett,AL; Children: Adams Meigs of Lanett, AL; Darrin Meigs of Virginia Beach, VA; Jonathan (Laura) Meigs of Lanett, AL. His Siblings; Ronnie (Tricia) Meigs of Lanett, AL. Becky Birdsong of Lanett, AL. Sherry Stone of Valley, AL; Daughter- In- Law Tracey Meigs of Lanett, AL. 11 Grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, and finally a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Three brothers: Mr. Randy (Valerie) Holley of Detroit, MI., Mr. Byron Holley of Killen, TX. and, Mr. Dennis Garrett of Sycamore, AL.  Along with his children,  He is also survived by 39 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, one aunt, Ms. Jewel Kelley of Alexander City, AL, one uncle, Mr. Matthew Davis of Sylacauga, AL. and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, including two special friends, Mr. Eddie Morris and Mr. Malcom Harvey whom he all treasured and closest to his heart.   Mr. Holley was a person of many talents. Making everlasting memories from Alabama all the way to Connecticut.  He will truly be missed by many and loved by all.

Throughout the years, she was a devoted servant of God and served in several capacities.  Her most faithful acts of her Christianity were realized when she became an Evangelist; a member of The Warehouse by Dr. Juanita Bynum; and a member of LaTrice Ryan’s Kingdom’s Sniper.  She encouraged the masses with daily posts of inspiration on her social media accounts.
Sharon united in matrimony to the love of her life, Mr. Cedrick L. McKinney on January 14, 2000, in a ceremony that only she and Cedrick attended.  They loved each other so much that they were married again on May 27, 2000, at a wedding ceremony that included close friends and family. At the time of their union, she became the bonus mom to Cynthia Caldwell.  Cedrick was her pride and joy.
She prayed for and with many who would become like her very own children.   Evangelist Sharon was a true prayer warrior.  The bond she shared with her nieces, great niece, and great nephews was like none other.  She was their biggest supporter and cheerleader.  There wasn’t a picture or occasion that she didn’t let them know just how proud she was of them.
On Friday, October 6, 2023, at the University of Alabama Hospital, the Lord called one of his most faithful servants home to be with His heavenly host.  Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Mr. Jerry Louis Traylor and Mrs. Cleopatri (Harris) Traylor.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Mr. Cedrick McKinney of Sylacauga, AL, bonus daughter Cynthia Caldwell of Anniston, AL;, sister Robin (Traylor) Lee of Sylacauga, AL; sister Regina Traylor of Hampton, GA; sister-in-law Anita Huntley of Sylacauga, AL; sister-in-law Gloria Johnson of Sylacauga, AL; brother-in-law Eddie McKinney, Jr. of Sylacauga, AL; 2 nieces, 1 great niece, 3 great nephews and a host of bonus nieces, nephews, community children, and friends.

Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He’s a 2000 graduate of Sylacauga High School. He was so excited about joining the US Marines Corp where he served Two tours in Iraq and was Honorably Discharged in 2005.  He was the center of attention when it came to fun, he loved traveling, sight-seeing, Music, and was an avid sports fan who loved LeBron James.He married the love of his life Jaclyn Ellis and to this union the apple of his eye was born Jada Leah Robinson.  Ryan departed this walk of life on September 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He united with Bakers Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Mr. Jural Dewayne Banks, affectionately known to most as “Dino”, but to his loved ones he was simply, “Woney.”
Woney was an alumnus of Vincent High School, class of 1991. In 1992 he joined the United States Navy where he was stationed and served in Norfolk, VA and USS JFK. Later, he became a cement mason and worked under the leadership of B&B Contractors, Peterson Concrete and Cadell.
Woney was devoted to his family and friends and especially his brothers who are affectionately known as “The Banks Boys.” He was a faithful and supportive fan of The Alabama Crimson Tide. You could certainly catch him on a Saturday watching Alabama Football and yelling “Roll Tide.” His family and friends are going to miss all the countless days and evenings of fun fellowship and late night hangouts in C-Well and other local communities.
On Wednesday, August 23, 2023 Woney peacefully transitioned from his 49-year earthly life journey to his new eternal heavenly home while in the comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones.
