Louis Giordano Jr - February 23, 1943 - April 20, 2024

Departed: 04/20/2024 (Elizabeth)
Obituary Preview: Louis Giordano, Jr. a lifelong resident of Bloomfield, NJ, peacefully stepped into eternity to be present with the Lord on April 20, 2024 at the age of 81.  He was born in Newark, NJ on February 23, 1943, but lived most of his adult life in Bloomfield.
At a very young age, he realized he had an ability to create fine art.  Although he was an unknown artist, his work proved the special talents God gifted him.  Not only was he a fine artist, but he also was a woodworker, a guitar luthier (he designed and made 2 guitars), and a history buff knowing all there is to know about the Civil War and World War II.  Much of his art portraits were portrayals of war heroes and Native Americans and also many famous movie stars.  He was an avid reader of these subjects.  He had a particular love of drawing what he called "abstract butterflies".  All his work was done in pencil, ink, charcoal, and chalk.
He was predeceased by his father Louis Giordano, Sr., his mother Tomasina (nee Castellano) Giordano, his sister Lorraine Carollo, and his cousin Rose Hill.
My husband and I, Robert and Donna Schlaefer, were the closest thing to relatives that he had.  We were his closest friends and spiritual family.
