Obituary Preview: Marchelle Kay Brody, 49, of Neillsville passed away on July 11, 2022 at House of the Dove surrounded by the love of her family and friends.Marchelle was born January 13, 1973 to Arla Hainz in Neillsville, Wisconsin, where she was born and raised. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1992. Marchelle married her husband, Chad, in 1995 and together had three children: Taran, Logan, and Kaylee.Marchelle is survived by her mother, Arla Hainz; her husband, Chad; three children Taran, Logan, and Kaylee; siblings Danny Hainz, Bart (Kelli) Hainz, Reyne (Jim) Copet, and Dave (Heather) Hainz; nieces and nephews Nicole, Drew, Kurtis, Lake, Antoine, Brittany, Brooke, Alex, Hailey, and Aleigha; many great-nieces and nephews; her aunt Dixie Kranz; and her best friend Denise Northup.She was preceded in death by her father Otto Hainz Jr..Marchelle enjoyed working with the public, working at Marty’s Foods (and Gordy’s Market) for almost 20 years; and then working at Unity Bank until November 2021. Marchelle was known for her smile and her positive attitude regardless of what life brought her way. She loved her immediate and extended family deeply and always enjoyed spending time with them. Marchelle was a strong, courageous, and brave woman and is an inspiration to many. Marchelle was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend and will be deeply missed by family and friends.The family would like to thank Mayo Clinic and Marchelle’s oncologist, Dr. Basu, for their care, kindness, and compassion on her cancer journey.Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 14th, 2022, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 15th, 2022. Lillie Eveline Sischo - December 13, 1933 - July 05, 2022

Obituary Preview: Lillie Sischo aged 88 of Neillsville, Wisconsin, passed away, Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Lillie was the matriarch of the Sischo family and the light of their lives.Lillie was born on December 13, 1933, to George and Eveline (Olson) Caster in Humbird, Wisconsin. She spent her childhood helping her mother and father on the farm and spent time with her brothers, Arthur and Clarence. When Lillie was not working on the farm, she was helping her mother care for her grandfather, Bergie Moore, and babysitting the neighborhood children. She spent her winters sledding on the Fitzmaurice family farm in rural Humbird. She attended school at the Humbird School in Humbird, Wisconsin, graduating in 1952. Lillie was especially proud of her "perfect penmanship" for which she had won awards.On May 1, 1954, Lillie married Richard Sischo Sr., the love of her life. He died on March 1,1997. Lillie worked at home taking care of the family and raising their children. She was more than a housewife she was the family accountant, boo-boo fixer, cheerleader, and amazing cook. She would attend the local demo derby each year to cheer on her sons' and the local horse shows to cheer on her daughters. As her children grew, she began attending her grandchildren's events. Later in her 70s and 80's she would go ATVing with her children riding the Clark County Trails. Enjoying a good campfire with her family never wanting to leave. She could be found schooling you on how to play 500 rummy as she very seldom lost a card game.She was known in the Neillsville area as "Ma" Sischo to any of her children's friends. When the boys would work on cars for the demo, she would have a pot of her famous goulash ready for them to eat. She would also cook chocolate chip cookies for the hunting crew during the gun deer seasons. Again, the pot would come out and her famous goulash would be cooked in no time for the returning hunters. She especially enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with her children and grandchildren as this also fell during the deer hunting season. She would make numerous pies from scratch and have the turkey cooking before the first hunters returned. She enjoyed babysitting a "passel" of grandchildren and watching the Macy's Thanksgiving parade. She enjoyed spending this time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She could quiet all the fussy babies and usually had a couple in her recliner with her. No one could cook like her we all tried.Ma loved watching her Packers play and always made goulash to eat during the game. In recent years she has been especially fond of watching "Pioneer Woman" and several different cooking shows on television.Lillie lived for her family, laughed at our silliness and loved us beyond measure. She will be truly missed by one and all. She thought highly of her sons-in-law and daughters-in- law she loved all of them like her own children.Lille will be dearly missed by her children: Monica (John) Pagenkopf of Neillsville, Barbara (Ellis) Walker of Minnesota, Linda (David) Weibel of Neillsville, Sandra (Paul) Schmidt of Neillsville, Randy (Tammy) Sischo of Neillsville, Ricky (Tracy) Sischo of Stratford, Ronald, Bruce, Jeffery (Kristy), Steven Sischo all of Neillsville, Karen (Paul) Simm of Marshfield. Daughter-in-law, Alice Sischo of South Carolina, Special friend, Pat Glidden of Humbird. Lillie is also survived by 20 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, son Richard “Buck” Sischo. Son-in-law, Curt Fleischmann, Grandson, Devon Fleischmann. Her parents and brothers, Art & Clarence Caster and several other in infancy.Pallbearers will be her 6 sons and honorary pall bearers will be her sons and daughters in laws.Lillie was loved by all who knew her. Lillie had a smile that would light up a room. There is nothing she wouldn't do for anyone ....she was beautiful inside and out.A huge Thank you to all who cared for mom in her declining months and days.A graveside service for Lillie will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2022, at the Mentor Cemetery in Humbird, WI. Obituary Preview: Mildred Ann Humphrey, age 90, of Neillsville, WI, died July 1, 2022, at the Serenity House, Tomah, WI, where she had resided for the last 6 weeks. For the 7 months previous, Brian and Tami Humphrey had been her tender-loving caregivers in their home by Tomah. Mildred "Millie" was born June 2, 1932, to Paul and Eleanor (Schecklman) Halpin in Loyal, WI, and graduated from Loyal High School. She met her future husband Gerald Humphrey Sr “Jerry" when Millie's brother introduced them at Coloma, WI. and they were married in Wautoma, WI on November 26, 1949. They moved to Franklin, WI, and lived there for six years where they lived with their first three sons. In 1955 they moved to Chili, WI, where six more children were born--two daughters and four more boys. When her last child was a high school freshman, Mil got a job in housecleaning at the Marshfield Hospital where she worked until 1994 making many life-long friends. Jerry and Millie sold their Chili farm in 1993 and moved to Neillsville, WI, where they shared their lives together. Upon retiring, they traveled a lot throughout the USA. Millie's main aspiration of her life was to have children and not only to have children, but she wanted a DOZEN!! She was such a "slacker", though, that she only had nine... Mil loved being "Ma” to her nine children and all her 28 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.Playing cards with anyone was fun and her nieces came up from Plainfield often to gamble for “big” money— nickels and dimes. Mil enjoyed her neighborhood coffee group and welcomed any visitors--friends or relatives-- at any time. Millie is survived by her eight children, Steve (LouAnn) Humphrey of Marshfield, WI, Arnie (Judy) Humphrey of Durand, WI, Van (Julie) Humphrey of Granton, WI, Jerry (Kris) Humphrey of Hixton, WI, Connie (Scott) Elmhorst of Neillsville, WI, Brian (Tami) Humphrey of Tomah, WI, Carole (Dave) Hohenstein of Marshfield, WI, Phil (Christie) Humphrey of Richardson, TX. Also, her 28 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren. Obituary Preview: Alice Barrette, age 93, of Neillsville, WI died peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at the Stoney River Memory Care facility in Marshfield, WI.Alice Marie Mott was born on July 25, 1928, in Neillsville to George and Bada (Hasselquist) Mott. She grew up in Pine Valley Township and attended Neillsville Public Schools, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1946. She attended UW-Stout at Menomonie, WI, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. She taught in Watertown, WI for several years.Alice was united in marriage to James L. Barrette on June 21, 1952, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. They lived there until 2002, when they moved to Neillsville. While in Wisconsin Rapids, Alice worked, many years, for the public and vocational schools. She was also a Field Interviewer for many years for the University of Wisconsin Survey Research Laboratory in Madison, WI.After Alice and Jim’s retirement in 1987, they purchased a Holiday Rambler Imperial and began to travel the U.S., Mexico, Canada, The Yukon, and Alaska. They settled in Gold Canyon, AZ, living there for many winters. James died on October 3, 2003.After Jim died, Alice enjoyed spending years with her dear companion, Robert Henry, living on the beaches of Puget Sound, Hansville, WA. They returned to Neillsville in May of 2017, and Robert died on October 13, 2019.She loved to sew, and enjoyed travelling, playing bridge, her family and friends and her horses.Alice and Jim raised and are survived by six children, Steven (Bekke) Barrette and Carolyn (Richard) Lewis both of Neillsville, Sam (Amy) Barrette of Oconomowoc, WI, Jane Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, Mary (James) Captain of Plain, WI and Lisa Barrette Foss of Scotts Valley, CA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, several step grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. She is a great aunt of Trena Abbott of Neillsville, and she is survived by many dear nieces and nephews.Alice was the last surviving member of her large immediate family.Visitation for Alice will be from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1954 and was united in marriage to Vivian “Shorty” Votava on September 25, 1954, in Iowa. They farmed in the town of Weston and Devonne raised their six children and helped farm while "Shorty" worked construction. Along with those jobs, they also owned and operated Votava's Pet Shop starting in Neillsville and later moving to Marshfield. She also owned and operated her own dog grooming business and raised tropical fish from her home. Vivian died on June 15, 2016.Devonne attended the Assembly of God church in Neillsville and then the Believer's Church in Marshfield. She enjoyed crafting and could take anything old and make it look new again. She also enjoyed going to garage sales, hunting for antiques, and playing the guitar.She is survived by six children, Bruce Votava of Marshfield, WI, Steve (Ginny) Votava of Colby, WI, Renae (Brian) Guldan of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Jenice (Curt) Schrage of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Craig (Lori) Votava of Marshfield, WI, and Dawn (James) Gibson of Marshfield, WI, 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Nancy died on October 6, 1996, and recently Nick married his long-time friend and partner, Nancy Kane.Nick was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139. He loved hunting and fishing and keeping his yard perfectly groomed. He enjoyed watching the Brewers and Packers and had seen every episode of Gunsmoke 500 times over! Obituary Preview: Richard Tomasello, age 70, of Neillsville, WI, formerly of West Allis, WI died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at his residence, following a 20-year struggle with multiple sclerosis.Richard John Tomasello was born on May 23, 1952, in West Allis, WI the son of John and Shirley (Bye) Tomasello. He attended Nathan Hale High School in West Allis, graduating in 1970, and then went on to the Milwaukee Area Technical College, where he studied Tool and Die making. Rick was united in marriage to Carol A. Bauer on August 24, 1974, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Milwaukee, WI. They lived most of their lives in the Milwaukee area, where he worked as a tool and die maker. He retired five years ago, and in 2017 they moved to their new home in Neillsville.Rick was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church in West Allis, WI. When his boys were younger, he served as a Boys Scout Leader. He loved duck hunting and deer hunting, both bow and gun season, especially as his boys got older and became more involved in the sport. As Rick’s illness became more progressive over the years, he appreciated that the Rock Creek Disabled Outdoors organization allowed him to continue to pursue his passion for hunting.Rick was a perfectionist. He could make anything or fix anything, and what he worked on always came out flawless. Of all the things that he made over the years, though, he was most proud of, had the most love for, and was the most dedicated to his family. They were the love of his life.He is survived by his wife, Carol, four children, Christine (Edward) Hagmann of Neillsville, WI, John (fiancée, Deanne Niay) Tomasello of Summit, WI, Ben (fiancée, Brandy Seifert) Tomasello of Neillsville, WI and Jacque Tomasello of Hales Corners, WI, three granddaughters, Marie and Grace Hagmann and Ava Tomasello, three siblings, Sue (Ed) Mishefske of Chippewa Falls, WI, Carl “Bink” (Sandy) Tomasello of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Sandy (Dave) Nelson of Torrington, CT. Obituary Preview: Lorraine (Sue) Caroline Sladek, 87 of McFarland WI. formerly a long-time resident of Granton, WI died on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at UW Health University Hospital, Madison WI.Sue was born in rural Pittsville, WI on April 10, 1935, to Otto and Mary (Kreitlow) Grubofski. She was their first daughter and was part of a large family which included 12 siblings. She was united in marriage to Donald Sladek on October 1, 1955, in Pittsville.After her marriage, Sue worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Marshfield Clinic while working on their family farm in Granton and raising three children. She also did seasonal work for Figi’s in Marshfield.She enjoyed watching and cheering on the Packers, listening to Country & Western music and Polka dancing at the Silver Dome Ballroom in Neillsville. While on the farm, she enjoyed growing vegetables in her large garden.After living on the farm for over 40 years, she and Don sold the farm and moved across the road. They enjoyed their rural surroundings, their grandchildren and visiting their daughter in Alabama. A few years after Don’s death, she moved to McFarland to be closer to her son. She is survived by her sons, Donald (Renee) Sladek of Marshfield, Dan (Kathy) Sladek of McFarland; grandchildren, Wendy (Ryan) Silcox, Jamie (Tom) Campbell, Rebecca Sladek, Lauren (Kyle) Cheramy, Colin (Marissa Bekken) Sladek; great-grandchildren, Jayson Dahlby, Chloe Knox, Tyler Baldauf, Bailee Wettstein, Preston and Everly Cheramy.She is also survived by her siblings: Carl Grubofski of Belvidere, IL, Fred Grubofski of Pittsville, Richard Grubofski of Marshfield, Otto (Mary) Grubofski of Wisconsin Rapids, Larry Grubofski of Wisconsin Rapids, John Grubofski of Marshfield, Ida Flewellen of Marshfield, and Laura Brue of Loyal. Obituary Preview: Harland Larson, age 90, of Neillsville, WI died Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Neillsville.Harland Palmer Larson was born on February 18, 1932, in Alma Center, WI the son of Lawrence and Palma Larson. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Alma Center in the spring of 1951, and after graduation he worked for the Blair Canning Company. In the fall of that year, he attended tech. school in La Crosse, WI to learn all he could about working on automobiles, which was his life-long dream. Despite his severe hearing loss he graduated, and then worked at American Motors in Eau Claire, WI for training on wheel alignment. He worked in Milwaukee, WI for a trucking firm for about four months, but did not like the city life, and returned to Alma Center, where he worked with his dad at the Alma Center Garage.Harland lived close to the Alma Center school district and drove school bus for 14 years. He was offered the job of managing the entire fleet of busses, which he did until 1969. Clifford Gross then asked him if he would come to work for Gross Motors. Harland accepted the job offer and worked there, as a wheel alignment specialist until he retired at the age of 85.Harland met his wife, Frances Geisler in 1952, they married September 1, 1956. They purchased a Sears and Roebuck home and built it in Alma Center, where he and Fran lived for many years. They both had jobs, Harland drove to Neillsville and Fran to Black River Falls. In 1975, they moved to Neillsville. They bought a home on East 2nd Street and lived there for 5 years. Then they finally found their dream home in the country and lived there for 21 years, before moving to State Street in Neillsville, where they have lived for 20 years.He enjoyed riding bike and helped with the baking because he loved his sweets! His last request in the hospital was for a chocolate chip cookie.They were both involved in volunteering for over 40 years. Because of their love of animals, they began getting involved with the Clark County Humane Society. They worked with the program since its inception in 1988. They started out volunteering, but gradually worked into fundraising to raise much needed funds for spaying and neutering They both worked at this for 18 years. Harland also got talked into helping the ladies gather recipes for the first Clark County Humane Society cookbook titled, “Favorite Recipes from Our Best Cooks”. He attended school in Neillsville, graduating from Neillsville High School in 1980. He then attended Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College in Amery, WI and earned a degree in Dairy Herd Management. On November 28, 1981, Tom was united in marriage to Sherry Klein at St. Mary Catholic Church in Neillsville. Together they raised four children while farming on the Kren family farm. Tom was named a “State Farmer” in 1980. In 1990, they purchased the family farm, and Tom and Ken farmed together until Ken’s death in 2012. Tom and Sherry eventually divorced, and later he married Diane Wilson on August 27, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood, WI.Tom was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Neillsville, WI. He was a Knights of Columbus member and a member of the Motorhead Mafia and the Granton Antique Tractor Club.Tom loved his family and his hobby, besides farming, was spending time with them. He was a wonderful, kind loving man who was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved attending auctions and he enjoyed classic cars.Tom is survived by his wife, Diane, five children, Michael (Ashley) Kren of Eau Claire, WI, Matthew (Tiffany) Kren of Eau Claire, WI, Adam (Mindy) Kren of Neillsville, WI, Deacon Alex Kren of Neillsville, WI and Ben (Leah) Wilson of Granton, WI. Obituary Preview: Annette Felser, age 98, of Altoona, WI, formerly of Neillsville, WI died Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire.Annette Lydia Erfurth was born on September 7, 1923, in San Antonio, TX the daughter of John and Clara (Grobe) Erfurth. She attended and graduated from San Antonio Vocational and Technical High School where she was an Honor Guard as a member of the Red Jackets. She then worked in the shoe department of Joskes Department Store in San Antonio, and later in the shipping department at Kelly Air Force Base, as a civilian employee, during World War II. She met Dwayne Joseph Felser while he was at Fort Sam Houston Hospital in San Antonio, after a bout of malaria. They married March 23, 1945, and Annette and Dwayne moved to New Orleans, LA for a short time before coming to Neillsville, where they lived the rest of their lives, except for May 1959—September 1960 when they and their three young children lived in San Antonio. While in Neillsville, Annette worked in the office at Svetlik’s Ford Garage, and then mostly at home to raise their children. In 1956, they went into business with Clifford and Alice Gross, and formed Fel-Gross Chevrolet, Inc. In 1957, Dwayne left that business and purchased the Cities Service Gas Station, which he operated until May 1959. He worked long hours, and Annette would often walk with their three young children across town to bring Dwayne his supper.Annette was a member of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville, where she was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed working, extensively, on Genealogy for both sides of the family long before the age of computers, and through the mail she was able to trace her and Dwayne’s roots back several generations, as well as obtain many stories about family members. She was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword and word find puzzles and she was a talented seamstress. Annette also enjoyed doing crafting projects and was always able to keep her children occupied with those projects. Most of all though, she was a loving mother and grandmother and great grandmother who always put other’s needs before hers.She is survived by a son, Joseph Dwayne (Margie) Felser, of Neillsville; daughters, Kathleen J. (Christopher) Sherman, and Linda A Burns, both of Eau Claire; grandchildren, Candace J. Felser, Sarah C. (Dennis) Raddeman, Daniel J. Burns (Anica Bausch), Ryan M. Burns and Jordan D. She was the daughter of George and Angeline (Schuld) Frei. At a young age, she moved with her parents to a farm in Pine Valley Township, south of Neillsville, Wisconsin. She attended Hiawatha grade school, grades one through six and then she attended St. Mary's Catholic school, grades seven and eight. In 1948, she moved with her parents to Neillsville and attended Neillsville High School and graduated in 1950.In July of 1949, she was stricken with polio which left her mostly confined to a wheelchair and used leg braces and crutches. In 1951, she moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin to attend vocational school (now known as Chippewa Valley Technical College). In 1952, she started employment at the Eau Claire Leader Telegram and retired from there after 39 years in 1991.The highlight of her life, was when she bought her first car, equipped with hand controls in 1958.Mary Jane enjoyed her home and had many friends. She loved corresponding with letters to her many friends and relatives. She also had a nice doll collection.She is survived by her sister, Beverly (James) Raine, many nieces, nephews, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Roseline (Norbert) Noeldner, Lucille (George) Pagenkopf, two brothers, Edward (Joyce) Frei, and Leo (Marge) Frei and three nephews.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Neillsville. In retirement, he found the free time to devote to his hobbies.Dennis was a life-long aviation enthusiast. From taking flying lessons and eventually flying solo to building and piloting remote control models, he loved his airplanes. He liked classic cars, so much so that he restored a custom 1950 Chevy pickup. Diane worked as a CNA first at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Wausau, WI and later at St. Joseph’s Hospital on 7N in Marshfield. Her health forced her to retire in 1989, and then she became a stay-at-home wife, grandma, and babysitter.Diane was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stratford, WI. She was also a former Girl Scout leader and was very involved with the TOPS club. They were dairy farmers for 30 years on his family farm, their children being the fifth generation raised there.Marlene managed the beauty salon in the Neillsville nursing home for 20 years. After having sold the farm in 1990, Marlene worked for Abby Vans medical transport and taxi service.She cared for Gary many years while his health was failing with the last 4 years being in home care.In 2019 Marlene sold the house in Neillsville and moved to The Villages, FL. In short fashion she found her groove there. She loved her new church and was active in the music program, Mornings with Mommies, communion prep, greeting, singles/travel club and the Defenders shooting club.Marlene’s passion was karaoke and enjoyed attending and entertaining gatherings with her singing family. She enjoyed traveling and last several years made several trips to WI, CA, GA, TN, and Mexico. She was active in the renovation of her home and her son Lee’s rental property in The Villages including the management for rental guests and ran a successful Airbnb for her guest room. A proud point in her life was when she earned her private pilot's license. She was united in marriage to Duane Charles Anding on April 29, 1950, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. They farmed in the town of Lynn on the family farm for many years. It was a century farm that had been in Duane’s family going back to his great great grandparents. Duane was awarded a “Farmer of the Year” award and received a “First Place” medal from the State of Wisconsin for his maple syrup. After retiring from farming, they moved to Granton road. Duane died on May 1, 2018, and the house was just sold recently.Pat was a member of the Zion Lutheran Missouri Synod Church in Granton. She also belonged to the church’s ladies aid for many years. She was a member of the Lynn Birthday Club. She loved crocheting and quilting and crafting in general. She was baptized December 8, 1929, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Granton, Wisconsin, and was confirmed on May 24, 1944. Amber attended Granton grade and parochial schools and graduated from Granton High School on May 26, 1948. She later attended the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.Amber was united in marriage to Harvey Pischer on June 26, 1948, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. They farmed in the area until 1958 when they moved to Neillsville. Amber was a telephone operator until the dial system was installed. She then was employed at the Clark County Press. She waitressed while her children were in school. After her retirement, Amber provided care for many people needing assistance. From 1997 - 2016 Amber wrote a column, “Neillsville News”, for the Clark County Press.Amber volunteered as a Sunday School teacher, 4-H leader, at the local hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop and gift shop, and at the 1897 Clark County Jail Museum. Turner, age 83, of Neillsville WI died Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at Riverside Assisted Living in Neillsville, WI.Kathleen Alice Hagen was born on July 16, 1938, at home in the Township of Weston, Clark County, WI, the daughter of Herman and Helen (Salomonsen) Hagen Jr. She attended Greenwood Schools and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1956. Later that year, she was united in marriage to Donald Turner on September 1, 1956, in Neillsville.When Kathy moved to Neillsville, she was employed at Kearns Rexall Drug Store. She then went to work for Attorney Wayne Trimberger as a legal secretary. She continued working for Wayne Trimberger as well as Frank Vazquez and Diane Trimberger for several years. Kathy then went to work at the Clark County Courthouse, working in the Aging Office, Register in Probate Office, and the Clerk of Court Office before her retirement.Donald died July 1, 1994, at the age of 60.Kathy was a longtime member of the United Church of Christ in Neillsville. She served as a Recording Secretary and as a member of the Mission and Outreach Committee. She was a member of the Purple Passion Patooties Red Hats Society, a monthly Birthday Club with her friends, and a longtime member of the Beautification Committee for the City of Neillsville.She enjoyed gardening, her flowers, shopping trips, organizing, and hosting family gatherings, going out to eat, and Friday night fish fries with her friends and family. Kathy also enjoyed going on bus trips and traveling with her friends. Obituary Preview: Patricia Mrotek, age 92, went to sing with the angels on April 13, 2022.Pat (Tibbett) Mrotek was born March 24, 1930, in Eau Claire, WI to George and Louise Tibbett. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School of Neillsville and graduated Neillsville High School in 1948. She went on to nursing school at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield and became a registered nurse.Growing up as the daughter of the local ice and fuel delivery man, she hosted horse drawn sleigh ride parties for her friends during her teens. For the past 50 years the family has continued to have horse drawn sleigh and wagon rides with the same sleigh and wagon of her youth. She lived almost all of her life in the same house on E. 9th St. in Neillsville.In July of 1955 she married Duane Mrotek of Loyal, WI at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Together, they owned and operated the Soo Café in Owen, WI. After her divorce, she returned to Neillsville and worked as a nurse at Neillsville Memorial Hospital and Nursing Home for 25 years. She co-owned and operated Slenderama, a ladies exercise facility in the early 70’s. She was a member and officer of the Neillsville Business and Professional Women’s organization. She worked at the House of the Dove in Marshfield and did home health care in and around Neillsville.Pat was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and sang in the choir since her childhood. She was a volunteer and coordinator for the Red Cross blood mobile drives for 60 plus years. She was a member of Clark County Homemakers. She also volunteered for Hospice and Interfaith Care Givers.Pat is survived by her son Don Mrotek of Hayward, WI, her daughter Kathy (Mark) Chadwick of Jacksonville, FL., her grandson Keith (Connie) Mrotek of Minneapolis, MN and their children Hawkin and Finley, her granddaughter Heather (Dan) Mrotek and their children, Eleanor, Rowan, and Danger, her sister-in-law Shirley Tibbett of Neillsville, along with many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.Pat was preceded in death by her parents George and Louise Tibbett, her brothers Tom (Bruce) Tibbett and Dick Tibbett and his wife Joanne.There will be visitation on Monday, April 18th from 4 to 7PM at Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. In January of 2013 she married David Bryan Jr., who had two young sons of his own. They went on to have a son and then another set of twins, girls this time.Julie had always dreamed of being a mom! She was the most loving mother her young family could ask for. Always doing activities with them, especially anything involving water.
