John was born to John Birsen Roach, Sr. and Catherine Ann Allen Roach, in Wellington, Texas on June 20, 1951.  He grew up in nearby Shamrock, Texas and attended Shamrock I.S.D. with a group of 50 friends graduating in 1969. He has maintained a close connection with many of his classmates over the years.  John was a class leader, accomplished student, loyal friend, devoted altar boy and industrious young worker.  He was highly respected and admired by friends, teachers and neighbors.
John graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Finance in 1973.  He was selected for the Leadership Team as a member of the Texas Aggie Band.  In the true Aggie spirit, he remained close to his Aggie Buddies throughout his life.  He received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant upon graduation from A&M and served in the United States Army.
John began his career as a federal bank regulator and liquidator with the F.D.I.C. and went on to executive positions in Texas banking organizations during the 1980’s and 1990’s.  In 1984, he married Susan Steele also a banker and in 1993 they formed a sales and leadership training company, which they operated for over 20 years.
His circle of friends considered John to be an extraordinary individual.  He mastered the sincerity of true friendship, always considerate, respectful and kind to every colleague, employee, stranger and friend. John devoted his life to meeting and connecting people.  He saw the best in everyone, encouraged young professionals with his advice to help them to achieve their goals.
John always recognized and celebrated holidays and rites of passage with family members.  He gave encouragement, joy and support to everyone.  He dedicated much of his life to charitable and community service with religious and benevolent organizations.  He mentored and tutored disadvantaged school students, volunteered at homeless shelters and served as financial and health advocate for isolated elderly individuals. He volunteered in leadership roles on various boards.  John thrived on giving back and helping where his skills and values could make a difference.
He and his wife and best friend, Susan, shared, supported and celebrated each other’s spiritual journeys in Catholicism and the Protestant faith.  They loved the outdoors and travel.  They had a second home in Snowmass Village, Colorado for twenty-five years and they still maintain a cabin in East Texas as members of the Rock Falls Fishing Club.  Susan and John rescued and adored their dogs.  “Lucky” dog was a constant companion to John during his illness.
John grew up in a family that loved games.  He loved reading, sharing puns and jokes, watching numerous sporting events.  He is known for starting a football contest to pick game winners each NFL season.  For 35 years he continued to add new friends and family members to the pool.

Bessie Lee Bush - December 24, 1945 - March 24, 2022

Departed: 03/24/2022 (Dallas)
Obituary Preview: On Thursday, March 24, 2022 Bessie, received her heavenly wings at the age of 76 years old.
Bessie Bush, was married to Clarence Bush Sr. (Who preceded her in death) and she was the mother of seven children, Barbara Bush (Who preceded her in death), Clarence Bush Jr. (Spouse: Angela Bush), Rhonda Hogan (Spouse: Roy Hogan), Casey Bush (Spouse: Gayle Bush), Moblin Bush (Who preceded her in death), Ken Bush and Shameka Bonner. Her parents were Professor Alton Thomas and Queen Esther Willis of Louisiana (Both preceded her in death). Bessie had 13 siblings (8 preceded her in death) and she leaves behind three sisters, Leola Norman, Helen Walker and Earnestine Crawford. As well as two brothers, Tom Williams and Jerry Thomas. Bessie also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grand child and countless nieces, nephews, friends and other loved ones. Bessie was a phenomenal woman who was in love with Jesus! She was a powerful prayer warrior, who was gifted to pray anybody through anything! She prayed without ceasing and God honored her prayers!
What made Bessie so unique and loved by so many was her soft, soothing voice that brought comfort to broken hearts, her love for God that was evident in everything she did and her love for ALL people (Deserving or not).
Bessie especially loved her family, husband and children and made many sacrifices throughout the years to care for and ensure they all knew they were incredibly loved.
Although Bessie endured many heartaches and disappointments in her life, she took it all in stride with a strength that only God could give! She never allowed ANYTHING to separate her from God or to deter her from being kindhearted, caring and loving to all, even through her own pain.
Bessie always had a word of encouragement and strength to give when needed, a prayer of peace and breakthrough to offer and a word from the scriptures to speak at  all times! She gave of herself tirelessly and selflessly to help others in need. God created Bessie to be a blessing to all who’d have the pleasure of  knowing her! Everyone who knew her, loved her and appreciated the amazing woman she was! Especially those of us who had the honor and privilege to call her mama! Some knew Bessie from her powerful prayers, while others her anointed singing and some from her incredible home cooked meals, but however you knew Bessie, you LOVED Bessie! Bessie was indeed a beautiful soul and I’m sure she’s up in heaven having a ball! She’s somewhere singing, praying, worshipping and/ or dancing before The Lord! It gives us great joy and peace to know that Bessie knows no more pain, sorrow or suffering of any kind! She’s gone home to live with God! AMEN!
