Ms. Dunn was a 1968 graduate of W. E. Parker High School and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served on the Women Mission, W. H. McCain Gospel Choir and as Chief of the Usher Board. She was a Charter member of the R A Dent Elks Lodge # 1349 and a member of the Civil Liberty Group for over forty years.
Survivors include a daughter, Dorothea D. Curtis; two sisters, Martha T. Williams and Elizabeth T. Wheeler; three brothers, Willie (Janice) Turner, Robert (Gail) Turner, Jr. and Calvin (Angela) Turner; David Smith, raised in the home as a brother; sister-in-law, Linda Turner; a grandson, Demetrious R. Dunn; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Edgefield with the Rev. G. L. Brightharp officiating. The remains will lie in state in the church at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in the church cemetery.  Viewing will be held from 2-6 pm Friday at the funeral home.
