Obituary Preview: Jacqueline E. O’Neill, age 85, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2019 at Brookdale Assisted Living Home in Naples after a long illness.  Jacqueline was surrounded by her family in peace.  Jacqueline (Jackie) was born on May 2, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York.  She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph, her sisters, Joanne, Judy, and Janet, her parents Cecilia and Joseph Reilly, and her former husband, Kevin O’Neill. Jackie lived for the past several years at Brookdale where she was cared for deeply by the staff, her nurses, and friends.  Prior to Brookdale, Jackie lived in Pelican Bay (Serendipity) where she spent over 20 years in a home she loved and shared with her family. Jackie worked at Pelican Bay Tennis for many years where she made so many treasured friends with her smile and humor.  Jackie was a communicant at St. William Catholic Church in Naples, Florida.
Jackie leaves her five beloved children and their spouses: Patty Holtz (Allan Hunt) Naples, Fla., Sean O’Neill (former wife Cindy O’Neill), Charleston, SC. Moira Aitro (Joseph Aitro) Cheshire CT, Kevin O’Neill (Fern O’Neill), LaGrange, Ill. and Deirdre Montenegro (Calixto Montenegro) Naples, Fla. Thirteen grandchildren: Bobby( Lisa),Michael and Kevin Holtz, Shane, Conor, Fallon O’Neill, Tara and Megan Aitro, Patrick, Ryan, Dillon O’Neill, and Ashley and Nicole Montenegro. Two great grand-children: Riley and Hunter, and many nieces and nephews from the Lyons, Hugie, and Claridy families.
Jackie will be remembered for her love for life, her love for her family, and her love for her faith.  Jackie always had a smile for friends and strangers and was the hostess with the mostest, always cooking and entertaining family and friends.  Jackie was a very strong and beautiful person who leaves this legacy to her family.

Thomas Anthony DeLessio - May 25, 1929 - November 23, 2019

Obituary Preview: Thomas Anthony De Lessio died peacefully on November 23, 2019 in Naples, Florida at the age of 90.
Thomas is survived by his wife Marion (Anderson), and their children, Todd De Lessio and his wife Danielle of Bridgewater, CT, Dean DeLessio of Westhampton, New York and Diane Ravech of Avon, CT and her children Sam and Max Ravech.  He also leaves behind his sister Bernice Damuth and her husband Don Damuth of Naples, Florida, and his brother in law and sister in law Charles and Terry Anderson of Freeport, New York.  Tom was Uncle Tommy to his beloved nephews and nieces. Tom is preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Jean (Auliso) De Lessio of Pompano, Florida.
Thomas was born May 25, 1929 in Brooklyn, New York and spent his early years in Queens, NY. In 1946 he was awarded All City Football and All Scholastic honors at Far Rockaway High School.  Tom continued his football career playing at Colgate University (as a fraternity brother of Phi Kappa Psi) where he graduated in 1951with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a master’s degree in business administration from Hofstra University. Thomas was a proud member of the United States Army where he served during the Korean War in the Medical Corp at Walter Reed Medical Center, Bethesda Maryland.
In 1957 he married his best friend Marion.  They were blessed to have enjoyed 62 years of marriage while raising three loving children.  After moving to New Fairfield in 1968. Tom began working for Perkin Elmer as the Director of Finance and liaison to the Division President for the Hubble Telescope program. He had a successful career and worked on many space optics projects before retiring in 1991.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.  Thomas loved nothing more than being together with those he loved.  Some of the fondest memories his family will treasure were made at the beach house in Southampton, New York.  He could often be found tinkering in the shed, fishing, clamming and painting the landscape he loved so much.  His nephews, nieces and grandchildren will forever remember him as the lead safari guide playing out the Lion Hunt around the fire pit.
Tom and Marion made Florida their new home state in 2000.  Over the last two decades, they met so many wonderful people and treasured friendships from those at Cedar Hammock and the Bentley Village.
Thomas enjoyed many activities but most of all playing bocce with his teammates at the Bentley.  The team enjoyed many championship tournaments and the stories that would often go along with it.  A charming and witty man who loved life, Tom was passionate about bringing positive energy to the world.  He was an active and dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church of Naples, FL.

Obituary Preview: Jeffrey Alan Kahn, MD, 80 years old, a graduate of The University of Michigan Medical School in 1963, was the beloved husband of Nancy (née Kaden) for 57 years. First an Air Force flight surgeon, he later was Director of Laboratories in Cincinnati, OH and Morgantown, WV.  Upon retirement, Jeff became an active consultant for matters concerning asbestos and black lung disease. His love of medicine brought him to participate weekly at the Continuing Care Conferences at Naples Community Hospital. A true scholar who forwarded the level of discourse wherever he was, he enjoyed being a founding member of a Great Books Discussion Group and a member of the Naples Council on World Affairs.  He was also a talented watercolorist. He leaves behind his three daughters Carolyn, Melissa (Steve Goldberg), and Kristin (Kevin Fine), and 8 grandchildren, Sam and Clara Sorkin, Max, Eva and Holland Murphy, and Andrew, Justin, and Brendan Fine, as well as a sister, Cynthia Hosay (Philip Hosay) and brother, Frederick Kahn, MD (Allegra Schorr), a niece and nephew, and a large extended family. A memorial service will be held at the Naples Board of Realtors, 1455 Pine Ridge Rd, on Friday, November 29th at 3:30pm.  The family will be receiving friends at home following the service.

He was born in Greenville, New Hampshire on November 25, 1933.  Pete was the husband of Pauline Comolli.  He was the father of Debbie Maguire and her husband John, Denise Piccolo and her husband Dan, Diane Bindel and her husband Rob.   Pete was the grandfather of Jacob Maguire and his wife Christie Lee, Lucas Maguire and his wife Danielle, Jessica Minick and her husband Logan, Patrick Bindel and his wife Alanna, and Rachel Bindel.  Pete had 4 great grandchildren Frankie and Johnny Maguire and Adisyn and Mason Maguire. He is also survived by a brother Raymond Comolli.
He is preceded in death by his parents Peter and Jean Comolli.
Peter is an Army Veteran.  He worked many years in the home building industry in New Jersey as a comptroller.  When he retired and moved to Naples, Florida he very much enjoyed gardening, traveling and working for the Ritz Camera Company until it closed.

Obituary Preview: Dorothy T. “Dottie” Mete died on Tuesday, November 12th.after a long battle with cancer, she was 72 years old.   She was surrounded by her children and husband during her final moments. Dorothy was born and raised in Staten Island, New York.  She received an Associate Degree from Pace University where she met her now husband, Edward L. Mete. Dorothy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.  She was loved by many for the down to earth wisdom and pragmatic support that only a mother can offer, not just to her own children, but to her children’s friends and her friends’ children.  Not a child was born that didn’t receive a homemade afghan from Dottie.  She had the rare gift to easily chat with anyone, putting you at ease and making you feel like she’d known you for a lifetime.  This trait gave her a special place in the hearts of anyone who had once been a newcomer to her circle of friends and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Janet and Robert Tanner, and her brother Bob Tanner.
She leaves behind her husband and five children Janine Malsbury (Francis) of Tampa, FL, Laura Frizzell (Michael) of Atlanta, GA, Nicole Johnson (Todd) of Greenwich, CT, Brad Mete (Diana) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Elizabeth Strouse (Erik) of Herndon, VA.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 3 siblings, and countless other friends and family. Obituary Preview: George Thomas Bauder, 80, of Bonita Springs, Fl died October 29, 2019 at home. George was born July 25, 1939 in Philadelphia Pa, the only child of Wilson and Kathryn (Sladek) Bauder.  He had been a resident of Bonita Springs since moving from Ocean City, NJ in 2012.
George earned a basketball scholarship to attend LaSalle College in Philadelphia, PA., graduating in 1961. Prior to that, he attended St. Ambrose School in Olney, and then LaSalle High School, where he lettered in several sports, including basketball. George made many lifelong friends on the court, playing basketball and later tennis, racquetball and paddle ball for much of his life.
After college, he worked as a trader for Boenning & Scattergood, Inc. in Philadelphia.  George then spent the next 25 years in the transportation industry in Philadelphia and Chicago, culminating in his founding Bauder Enterprises, a transportation services company based in Philadelphia.
Upon retirement, George headed straight to the Jersey Shore, where he spent many happy hours perfecting his game of horseshoes on the beach and regaling his friends and family with jokes and stories on his front porch well into the night.
George is survived by his wife Christine (Dunham) Bauder. George has 7 children, 5 children in-law and 16 grandchildren.  His children, their spouses and grandchildren are: Christopher Bauder (Mary (spouse), William, Luke, Owen) of Lake Forest, IL, Gwen Travelstead (William (spouse), Katie, Lindsay, Thomas) of Gurnee, IL, Elizabeth (Eric (spouse), Austin, Sara) Margarida of Centerville, VA, Diane (Peter Jr. (spouse), Peter III, Kristin, Megan) Grumhaus of Lake Bluff, IL, Matthew (deceased, 1967), Laurie Bauder (Summer, Kai, Torrey) of Seattle, WA. and Allyson (Patrick (spouse), Isabella, Lucy) Donnelly of Hingham, MA.
His only request every birthday and Christmas was for happy children.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Ocean City NJ in June, 2020.
His family wants to thank Hope Hospice of Lee County FL for their tender care that made the last steps of his journey much more comfortable.

She is survived by her son Jeff and his wife Erin Boyd, 2 Granddaughters Katelyn and Mackenzie Boyd. Sister Beverly Friend Hawkins, Brother Buddy and his wife Lauree Hawkins. Five nephews Sean and Ross Friend, Beau, Brad, and Brett Hawkins and one niece Brianna Disharoon.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Barbara touched are invited to Fuller Funeral Home at 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples for a memorial service on Sunday November 3rd at 5pm.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association (Stroke.org).

Obituary Preview: William G. Roth, 81 died on October 14th, 2019 at Moorings Park Chateau in Naples, Florida, following a serious illness. Bill was born in Lamberton, MN where he graduated from high school in 1956. He graduated with honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 1960 and earned a Masters degree in Industrial Administration from Purdue University in 1961.
After college Bill started a long industrial career beginning with The Trane Company in Lacrosse, WI. At Trane he held a succession of sales, marketing and general management assignments before being named as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 1978. After Trane merged with American Standard in 1984, Bill was named President and Chief Operating officer of the combined firms at the headquarters in New York City.
In 1987 he became Chairman, President and Chief Executive of Dravo Corporation, a Pittsburgh based engineering, construction, and natural resources firm. He retired as Chairman of the Board in 1994 while continuing to serve as a Board member. During his career, Bill was active in many industry and civic organizations. He served as a Director and member of the executive committee of the National Association of Manufacturers and the Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce
Association. During his career he served as a director of numerous publicly held companies including Trane, American Standard, Dravo, G. Heileman Brewing, Wells Fargo, Teknowledge Corp., Amcast Industrial Corporation, Service Experts, and Lennox International.
Active in Civic affairs Bill served on the Board’s of St. Francis Hospital and The Adolf Gundersen Medical Foundation in LaCrosse, The Gateway Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, The LaCrosse Boy Choir, The United Way of Greater New York and Catholic Charities of Collier County.
In 1982 Bill was named the recipient of the University of Notre Dame College of Engineering Honor Award and joined the Engineering Advisory Council, a position he held until his death. In 1984 he received the Silver Beaver award from the Boy Scouts and the Man of the Year award from the LaCrosse Chamber of Commerce. The Krannert School of Management at Purdue named him the 1986 Distinguished Alumnus.
After becoming a Marco Island resident in 1986, Bill became involved as the first non-employee President of Hideaway Beach Association where he served as a Board member for six years and as president for four years. He twice served three year terms on the Board of The Island Country Club and served as president for two of those years. He was a founding director of the Island Country Club Charitable Foundation. Bill was active at San Marco Church as a principal fund raiser, Lector, Extraordinary Minister of Communion and a member of and chair of the parish Finance Committee.
The Roths moved to Naples, Florida in 2013 taking up residence at Moorings Park continuing care retirement community. Elected to the Moorings Park residents Council in 2016, he served 3 years years on the council including 2 years as President of the Residents Association and Residents Council.
Bill is survived by Pat, his wife of 59 years; son, Bill and granddaughters Emma and Anna; son David and his wife Cheryl; brothers Tom of Los Angeles; Richard of Huntington Beach, CA; and Mark of Florence, AZ.
A funeral Mass will be held at St. William Catholic Church in Naples at 9:45am on Monday October 28th.  There will be a reception at Moorings Park following Mass. Inurnment will be private.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be directed to Habitat for Humanity of Collier County (https://www.habitatcollier.org/) or the Guadalupe Center (https://www.guadalupecenter.org/) .

Wanda was born in New York City on April 21, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rose and Mike Marra and her companion, “Babe” Wefers. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Thorpe of Naples, Fl. After working in NYC, she moved to So. Bound Brook, NJ and worked for the NJ Department of Health. In 2001, she and Babe moved to Naples, Fl. to enjoy their retirement years.
Wanda graduated from Metropolitan School of Nursing and went on to Columbia University to receive an M.A. in Nursing and Curriculum Development and and Masters in Public Health. She loved her nursing career and had numerous accomplishments. She developed licensure standards for all Health care facilities in NJ to protect and promote health and safety of patients. She developed a Nurse Aide certification program. She was a Model City Health Planner for Plainfield, NJ. She also developed and facilitated numerous seminars for health professionals on patient care and management. She was also appointed to the NJ State Board of Nursing and served from 1983-1994.
Wanda had a variety of interests and hobbies. She loved her New York Football Giants and she and Babe would go to the games through the good times and the bad. She enjoyed making ceramic dolls and crafting teddy bears and beading and making jewelry.  She also enjoyed a “day or two” sitting in front of the slot machines here and in Atlantic City. Her home away from home was her beloved Acapulco, the hotel El Mirador and all the many friends who gathered each year. Lastly, she loved her little Havanese, Zorro. After Babe passed away, he became the “man” of the house and was her constant companion until his passing in 2016.
A memorial mass will be held at Saint Agnes Church 7775 Vanderbilt Beach Road. Interment will take place at Somerset Hills Memorial Park Basking Ridge, NJ

Obituary Preview: Janine Frances Weinrich, 47, of Naples, FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Formerly of Smithtown, L.I, NY, she had been a Naples resident since 2006. She was born July 24, 1972 in West Islip, NY.
Janine was the founder of several successful business in both New York and Florida.  An active member of the community, Janine dedicated countless hours of service to children's causes in Collier County.  Including Girl Scouts, Collier County Schools, Gulf Coast High School Marching Band, and Cheer.  An avid animal lover, Janine made it a mission to support local South Florida animal rescue missions as well.
Mrs. Weinrich is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Charles E. Weinrich; her beloved children, Kayla, Dylan and Nico; her parents, John F. and Frances (née Uliano) Kazmerski of Naples, FL; and her brother, John (Mariana) Kazmerski of Ridge, NY.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, September 15, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, September 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 625 111th Ave. N., Naples. Horace served on several Corporate and Civic Boards including: Hubbell Inc., Ethan Allen Inc., and Datahr Rehabilitation Center.
Horace is predeceased by his parents and his wife: Eileen Romar McDonell (2012), his children Victoria McDonell (1990), son Horace McDonell (2007), and son in-law Thomas (2008). Horace is survived by his daughter Diane M. Nagot, daughter in-law Debra Krause McDonell and niece Lillian McDonell.

Mr. Mazzucco was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1974, and to the U.S. District Court, the Eastern District of New York in 1976, and to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1988. Mr. Mazzucco has been a member of the American Bar Association, New York state Bar Association, and the Richmond County Bar Association.
In 1974, Ronald J. Mazzucco became involved in the general practices of law in Staten Island, New York, where he engaged primarily in civil matters until 1978 when he became an associate of the firm of Behrins and Napolitano, P.C. also located in Staten Island. His duties with the firm involved civil litigation and commercial matters with an emphasis on personal injury litigation.
In 1977, Mr. Mazzucco was appointed chief counsel to Council Member Anthony I. Giacobbe, a member of the New York City Council, and continued in that position until 1982. His duties included research and drafting of proposed legislation, as well as numerous speaking engagements.
In 1979, Mr. Mazzucco joined the Adjunct staff of St. John’s University, Notre Dame campus in Staten Island, New York, and offered courses in Business Law, Administrative Law, Real Estate Law, and Para legalism.
Since 1980. Mr Mazzucco has been engaged in the general practice of law with offices at 686 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, New York. His practice has been concentrated primarily in the area of civil law litigation with an emphasis on commercial matters, estate and real estate practice, and matrimonial matters. In addition, Mr. Mazzucco has developed a substantial clientele of community associations, and has undertaken both the prosecution and defense of community association litigation. His practice also has included acting as pro bono counsel to various non-profit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
Mr. Mazzucco has participated in various Richmond County Bar Association Committee activities, including but not limited to, Law Day activities, as a participant in both the Supreme Court and Civil Court youth programs, the coordinator of school groups attending the District Attorney’s Office. In addition, Mr. Mazzucco has served as chairman of the Community Relations and Public Education Committee of the Bar Association.
Mr. Mazzucco is a two term. Past President of the Staten Island University Hospital Association. He has served on the Board of Trustees of Staten Island University Hospital since 1978 in various capacities such as Vice Chairman of the Board, and Chairman of various committees including Chairman of Finance Law and Public Affairs and Development. Mr. Mazzucco served as Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Staten Island University Hospital from 2010-2013 and as the Executive Committee of North Shore LIJ Healthcare System.
Mr. Mazzucco has participated in a broad range of community activities and affairs, including service organizations such as the Staten Island Kiwanis Club, where he was Past President in 1993-1994, the Lions club of Central Staten Island as Vice President, the March of Dimes Committee, the Advisory Board of Staten Island McKee Technical High School, and other community organizations.
Mr. Mazzucco is a member in good standing of Christ Episcopal Church. He is a two-time Senior Warden, and has chaired the Stewardship Committee of the Church as well as a Capital Fund Campaign. He served as a Parish Legal Counsel, Ombudsman to the Parish, and advisor to the Vestry of the Church.
Mr. Mazzucco is most proud of his family, which includes his wife Ellen Mazzucco, their three children, Tara, Laura, and Peter, and their five grandchildren, Luke, Mia and Lola, Ava and Ella.
