John is survived by: siblings, Dennis Clark (Marla McNew) of Bicknell, Laura Grostefon of Bicknell, and Cathy Beaman (Scott) of Bruceville;7 nephews; 7 nieces; and 6 great-nephews; and 7 great-nieces.
John was preceded by; his parents; a brother, Howard Clark; 1 niece; 1 nephew.
There will be a visitation on Friday, August 27, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Bruceville chapel, 618 West Main Street Bruceville In 47516, followed by a funeral service with Pastor Matt Hoffman officiating. Obituary Preview: Mark Allen Dillon 52, of Bruceville, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 15, 2021 with his family by his side.
Mark was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and was extremely involved in the community. Mark married Denise Dillon in Vincennes on August 7, 1992. He was an assistant principal at North Knox High School. He was a basketball coach, baseball coach, cross country coach, and a golf coach. During his time at NK he was also a teacher and athletic director. Mark had a great love for children and young people; his job was his zest for life, along with spending time with his own family. Mark loved to golf and fish in spare time.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Denise Dillon; parents, Diana Fairhurst Carrico (Ken Carrico) and Everett Dillon (Cherilyn Dillon); children, Zach Dillon, and Andrew Dillon; siblings, Krista Meyer (Rod), Kyla Romans (Cory), Danell Yochum (Ed), and Brently Dillon. Mark also had 43 nieces and nephews in addition to many great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by; a son, Kendall Charles Dillon; maternal and paternal grandparents; and his mother-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the North Knox Gymnasium. A Mass with Christian Burial will be on Monday, July 19, 2021 at St. Philip Neri at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery.

Obituary Preview: Henry Peacock, 66, passed away June 21, 2021, while at the Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.  He was born to the late George M. Peacock, and Murrel (Warren) Peacock on February 16, 1955, in Vincennes.   Henry was employed at the KCARC and had the distinction of being one of its first employees in 1972.   Henry was a man of many friends and many interests.  He loved bingo,IU Basketball, riding in the semi with his friend, Max Crouse,  and vacationing with friends -- especially in Florida.  For many years, he enjoyed going to the Indicoso Church Camp in Springville, and was proud to be a junior counselor there along with his good friend, Brian Patton.  He was a member of Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, and belonged to the Fans of Special Athletes.  He was a member of the Bruceville Methodist Church.   Those who loved Henry and now cherish his memory include his sister Deb Weber of Bruceville; niece Staci (Bobby) Clark of Vincennes; nephew Mike (Traci) Weber of Vincennes; and sister-in-law Alice Peacock of Lees Summit, MO.   Additionally, he leaves behind :  nephew James D. (Shawna) Peacock, niece Tammy Peacock, and great nephews Blade and Korde Weber, Luke Clark; and Will Peacock, and a great niece Natalie Peacock.  Henry had many cousins, and one special cousin he celebrated birthdays with, Sherry (Richard) Rawdon. Henry had an extensive "hand picked" family that he loved:  Charla and Brian Patton, Angie (Terry) Goff, and Brenda Ramsey. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother James Peacock. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Mick” Hill.

Gladys  loved cooking going to florida and her spending time with her family, she was a member of the Shaker Prairie Christian Church.  Gladys is survived by her four children, Tamara Lamb (Vance Thompson) of Bruceville, IN, Pam Sturgeon (Paul) of Bruceville, IN, Rickey Lamb (Lisa Ellis) of Lincoln, IL, and Rod Lamb (Tina) of Linton, IN and one sister, Mary Ruth Michaelis of Vincennes, IN. 11 grandchildren 18 great grandchildren and one  great grandchild on the way. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and could often be found hunting or fishing when his health permitted; he also enjoyed playing cards and socializing with family and friends. Bill was a member of the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, Sons of the American Legion, and the Men’s Auxiliary for the Linton VFW.
Bill is survived by; his daughters, Heather McClure of Bruceville, Samantha Ford of Vincennes; His ex wife Lynne McClure, his significant other, Dawn Arther; 3 brothers, Virgil Alan Sinders of Vincennes, Mike McClure of AZ, Ed McClure of GA; and 4 grandchildren.

Rod was born November 13, 1950 in Vincennes, IN to the late Alva Lafferty and Maxine (Gremore) Lafferty. He was wed tohis wife, Sandra L. (Russell) Lafferty in Vincennes on Friday, July 26, 1968 and she survives.
Rod was primarily a farmer for Lafferty Farms, and also worked for Robinson Refinery doing scaffolding. He was an avid golfer who loved being outdoors; however, most of all he enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of the Bicknell Country Club, French Club, and the Lawrenceville Moose Lodge.
Rod leaves behind; his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Sandra Lafferty; children, Christopher Lafferty (Mindy), of Bicknell, Kerry Lafferty of Bicknell, Shannon McCrary (Jamie) of Vincennes, Andrea Wright of Lafayette, and Shelley Fossmeyerof Vincennes; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark Lafferty (Peggy) of Monroe City, and Pama Limbach(Jon) of Vincennes.

Obituary Preview: Ruth V. Sartor 92 of Bruceville passed away on August 29, 2019 at Oak village in Oaktown. She was born on April 5, 1927 in Green County Indiana; she was the daughter of Oscar and Blanche Elgan. She married Robert “Bob” Sartor and he preceded her in death.
Ruth was a member of the Terre Haute Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter Shelly (Jon) Wilson of Bruceville, Indiana, Grandchildren Amber (Chris) Moore of Sandborn, Indiana, Andy Steffy of Bruceville, Indiana and Brad Sartor also of Bruceville. Four great-grandchildren; Brittney, Morgan, Abbey and Bryson also survive.
Along with her husband her parents, a son Jerrel Sartor, a brother Oscar Elgan and a great grandchild Madison Moore preceded Ruth in death.
At the wishes of Ruth there will be no services.

He is survived by his 3 children: Mary (Mac) Campbell of Bruceville IN, Thomas (Hooky) McCrary Jr of Petersburg, and Rodney (Vivian) McCrary of Vincennes In. 1 sister Linda Hagemeier of Bruceville In, and 1 brother Jim (Mary) McCrary of Oaktown In. 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Cates, Karen (Brad) Black, Tom (Mara) McCrary III, Jessica (Sam) Mikeworth, Brian (Allie) McCrary. He also has 4 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 5 brothers, Robert McCrary, Larry McCrary, Gene McCrary, Jack McCrary, Maurice McCrary, 1 sister Norma Mouzin.
A visitation will take place on Monday, August 5, 2019 from 4-8 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure - Utt funeral homes Bruceville chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 11 am, also at the funeral home, with Pastor Jarrod Chattin presiding. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes. Marlen was born April 29, 1953, in Knox county, the son of Harvey “Ted” and Betty Lou (Schultz) Messer. He married Deborah Brown on June 17, 2006. He was a heavy equipment operator at Peabody Coal Company and Bear Run Coal Mine for over 40 years. Marlen was a member of the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club. He was also an avid car and gun enthusiast and loved playing poker. Robert "Bob" Bruce Bobe - September 04, 1946 - March 15, 2017

Obituary Preview: Robert Bruce "Bob" Bobe, 70, of Bruceville, passed away on March 15, 2017, at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born in Vincennes on September 4, 1946, to Bruce Edward and Helen Louise Atkinson Bobe. Robert grew up in Vincennes and attended Lincoln High School where he played football until his junior year. His family then moved to Bruceville. He finished that year at Bruceville High School and was then a member of the first graduating class of North Knox in 1964. He attended Vincennes University, received a BS degree in agriculture from Purdue University and an MS degree in education from Purdue University. He married Peggy Frances Sartor on August 13, 1967. He was an excellent trap shooter, a lifeguard while at Purdue, a trombone player in the Fellowship Band, which was a gospel group made up of family and friends, and he earned his pilot’s license many years ago. He enjoyed working with computers and writing his own programs, growing huge gardens, and taking pictures. He always said that one of his life goals was to be an amazing grandpa like the one he had - William Barnett Atkinson. He successfully reached his goal. Early in his career, he worked for Swift in ag chemical sales and Lely in farm equipment sales. He taught agriculture for nearly 5 years at Rockville High School in Rockville, Indiana, before moving back to Bruceville. After teaching agriculture at North Knox High School for the next 35 years, he retired in 2011. While at NK, he served as the sponsor for FFA and Young Farmers. He is survived by his children Jenny Moreland and her husband, Jamie, of Bruceville, Michael Bobe of Bruceville, and Amy Bobe-Queen of Bicknell; grandchildren Zachary Moreland, Nicholas Moreland, and Anthony Moreland of Bruceville, and Alysha Queen and Nathan Queen of Bicknell; brothers Bill Bobe and his wife, Betty, of Bruceville, and Henry Bobe of Sullivan; sister-in-law Betty Roark of Sumner, Illinois; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife on January 9, 2016, and his parents. Friends may visit from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the North Knox Jr/Sr High School Auxiliary Gym. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bruceville Chapel with Jim Beery officiating. He will be laid to rest at Bruceville Cemetery.
