Obituary Preview: Kathaleen Cooper Noe, age 73, of Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, formerly of Danville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2024, in Frankfort, Kentucky.  Born Monday, September 25, 1950, in Danville, she was the daughter of the late John Wellington Cooper & Lucille Wylie Cooper.  Kathaleen retired from the state, as a Social Worker, where she was also Director at one time.
Kathaleen leaves behind two nieces, Amanda Wylie Darling (Gary Anthony) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Linda Dianne Douglas (Scott) of Gridley, California; two great-nephews; and one great-niece.
In addition to her parents, Kathaleen was preceded in death by one sister, Dianne Wylie Shook.
A Public Graveside Service & Burial will take place 2:00PM Monday, January 29, 2024, at Danville Memorial Gardens.

Long, age 83, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024, in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born Saturday, August 31, 1940, in the Geneva Community of Lincoln County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe & Ella Mildred Young Coontz.  Her loving husband, whom she married Friday, August 9, 1957, is Joseph Wendell Long of Stanford.  Mazie was a homemaker and attended Lancaster First Assembly of God.  Mazie was a devoted Christian lady, loved spending time with her family, enjoyed reading her Bible, and loved decorating her home for each holiday season.
In addition to her husband, Mazie leaves behind one son, Wendell Keith Long of Stanford; three grandchildren, Jacquie McCowan (Kevin) of Greenville, South Carolina, Heather Nicole Long of Stanford, and Keisha DeAnne Saylor of Stanford; five great-grandchildren, Trenton Ray Smith, Michael Tre Floyd, Gavin Reece Smith, Carson Keith Saylor, and Kinsley DeAnne Saylor; one sister, Jo Ann Smith (Johnny) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents, Mazie was preceded in death by one daughter, Tamala Joann Long; one granddaughter, Summer Michelle Long; and three brothers, Jackie Coontz, Billy Coontz, and Johnny Mac Coontz.

Obituary Preview: Trevor Carrier, age 55, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 19, 2024, at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  Born Monday, June 10, 1968, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, he was the son of Hollis M. Carrier of Stanford & the late Patsy Noel Carrier.  His loving wife, whom he married Friday, May 21, 1999, is Theresa Coleman Carrier of Stanford.  Trevor worked for many years in maintenance at many local factories.  Trevor loved to hunt and fish, in his spare time.
In addition to his wife and father, Trevor leaves behind one son, Matthew Daniel Carrier (Chasity Rayborn) of Stanford; one daughter, Hollie Clements (Dustin) of Stanford; one step-son, Dustin Varvel of Stanford; one step-daughter, Tiffany Varvel of Stanford; one granddaughter, Autumn Clements; five step-grandchildren, Brooklyn Rood, Breanna Rood, Callie Varvel, Michael Varvel, and Aidian Varvel; one brother, Troy Carrier (Becky) of Stanford; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his mother, Trevor was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Aurora Clements.

Kenneth Ray Caudill - August 02, 1938 - January 18, 2024

Obituary Preview: Kenneth Ray Caudill, of Stanford, Kentucky, was born Tuesday, August 2, 1938, in Perry County, Kentucky, to the late Vernie & Verna Dixon Caudill.  Kenneth passed away peacefully, at his home, Thursday, January 18, 2024, at the age of 85.  Kenneth was a member of the Fort Logan Church of Christ and a 1958 graduate of Memorial High School.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1959-1963.  Kenneth worked 32 years at General Telephone and Electronics in Lancaster, Kentucky.  He retired from GTE in 1995, and managed part-time at Miracle Car Wash in Stanford, in 1996, where he worked for 18 years.  Kenneth was a member of the Caswell-Saufley American Legion Post #18 Honor Guard.  He loved to travel and enjoyed woodworking.
Kenneth leaves behind his loving wife, Brenda Herrington Caudill, whom he married December 1962;  one son, Kenneth Scott Caudill (Donna) of Hustonville, Kentucky; one daughter, Kimberly Nicole Doyle (Brian) of Somerset, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Skyler Chance Caudill (Josie) of Georgetown, Kentucky, Madison Brooke Wilburn (Luke) of Stanford, Olivia Ashton Daniels (Payton) of Somerset, and Sophia Grace Doyle of Somerset; three great-grandchildren, Oaklyn Blair Wilburn of Stanford, Kenneth Cade Caudill of Georgetown, and Maevry Kate Wilburn of Stanford; a great-grandson due June 2024; siblings, Geneva McKinney of Hamilton, Ohio, Veneda Phillips of Corbin, Kentucky, and Russell Caudill (Sharon) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and several extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by two brothers, Allen Caudill and Hansel Caudill; and two sisters, Josephine Bell and Mary Lou Whitaker.

Obituary Preview: Jimmie Lee Young, age 79, of Gravel Switch, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Sunday, March 5, 1944, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late William & Beulah Harris Young.  Jimmie retired after 40 plus years of work as a Warehouse Manager at Bushog Farm Equipment in Stanford, Kentucky.  Jimmie loved hunting, fishing, traveling, and farming.  In his earlier years, he also enjoyed archery, riding motorcycles, and building show cars.
Jimmie leaves behind his wife of 25 years, Patty Crank Young of Gravel Switch; three daughters, Sonja Drakeford (Jerry) of Stanford, Melissa Wells of Monroeville, Alabama, and Vickie Farley (Jeff) of Eubank, Kentucky; “Pawpaw” to Ashley Drakeford, Josh Alford (Nicole), and Kevin Drakeford (Adrian); “Big Poppy” to Wyatt Drakeford, Brileigh Alford, Ashleigh Alford, and Gabriella Alford; two step-sons, Travis Bastin (Amanda) of Granger, Indiana, and Mark Bastin of Stanford; step-grandchildren, Mary Grace, Raylee, Logan, and Tenacious; step great-grandchild, Liam; two sisters, Judy Kelly (Larry) of Lake Placid, Florida, and Kathy Lynn Smith of Stanford; and several other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

Obituary Preview: Robert I. “Bobby” Muse, age 78, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford.  Born Saturday, December 8, 1945, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Boyd Russell Muse and the late Geneva Henderson Muse.  Robert was a retired Kentucky State Trooper, after 20 years of service to the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Bobby loved old muscle cars and horses and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
Bobby leaves behind two sons, Rob Muse (Betty) of the Highland Community of Lincoln County, Kentucky, and Marc Muse (Kelley) of Stanford; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bruce Muse (Susie) of Stanford, Rick Muse (Debbie) of Stanford, Jerry Muse (Viola) of Somerset, Kentucky and Tony Muse of Stanford; two sisters, Shirley Singleton of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, and Sue Howell (Chuck) of Lancaster, Kentucky; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

Arnold "Arnie" Ray Carrier - March 03, 1951 - January 11, 2024

Obituary Preview: Arnold (Arnie) Ray Carrier, age 72 was born Saturday, March 3, 1951, to the Rev. Alfred & Elizabeth Coffman Carrier.  Arnie was born at home in the Geneva Community of Lincoln County, Kentucky.  He left his earthly home for his great reward in Heaven on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
To mourn his passing, Arnie leaves behind two children, whom he raised, Peggy (Tommy) and Timmy (Leanne); three grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, Michaela (Greg), Daniel (Stephanie), and McKenzie (Joey); two brothers, Joe (Jane) and Mike (Pam) Carrier; a niece, nephew, two great-nieces, a host of cousins; special cousin and life-long friend, Ron Patterson; and one aunt, Peggy Coffman.
Arnie was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Alfred & Elizabeth Carrier; and grandparents, Thelmur & Martha Coffman and Joe & Fanny Carrier.
Arnie was of the Pentecostal faith.  He was faithful to his God, loved going to church, and feasting on the word.
Arnie was a kind and gentle man.  He loved his children, but his grandchildren were his pride and joy.  In his 3 ½ year stay in the hospital, he loved when his kids, family, and friends came to visit.  However, his grandchildren put the real smile on his face.
Arnie also enjoyed Southern Gospel music, Bluegrass, and Bluegrass Gospel music. In his younger years, he also attended several concerts and Bluegrass festivals.
Arnie worked for “Chandler Egg” for 20 plus years and owned and operated it until its closing.  He then went to work for “Papa Johns” in Danville for 20 plus years, until his retirement because of health issues.
If you didn’t know him by “Arnie” then chances are you knew him by “The Egg Man”, “The Pizza Man” or to his close friends and family, “Barney”.
A Public Visitation will be held 11AM-2PM Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Fox & Friend Funeral Home.
The Public Funeral Service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, at the funeral home.  Bro. Chris Taylor & Bro. Junior Skaggs will officiate the service.

Obituary Preview: Beverly “Bev” Young, age 96, of the Highland Community in Lincoln County, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, in Danville, Kentucky.  Born Friday, June 24, 1927, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late James E. & Allie Gourley Young.  Bev was a US Army WWII Veteran, where he earned the rank of Corporal.  Bev previously worked for the Cincinnati Union Terminal (13 years), Angel Manufacturing (9 years), Builder’s Supply (11 years), and was a farmer for many years.  Bev was a member of Highland United Methodist Church and was the caretaker of Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery for many years.  Bev loved spending time with his family and enjoyed gardening, in his spare time.
Bev leaves behind four sons, Daniel Young (Kate) of Hawley, Pennsylvania, Dwight Young (Leslie) of St. Petersburg, Florida, Steele Harmon of Lexington, Kentucky, and Glenn Adington (Jackie) of Waynesburg, Kentucky; three daughters, Vicki Senior of Danville, Kentucky, Diane Jeffries (Harold) of Stanford, Kentucky, and Debra Petrey (Dale) of Richmond, Kentucky; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Gary Lynn Young (Geraldine) of Germantown, Ohio; one sister, Beatrice Faye Reed of Louisville, Kentucky; and numerous other extended family members and friends who mourn his passing.

Harold Bell Upton, Sr. - June 08, 1935 - December 28, 2023

Obituary Preview: Harold Bell Upton Sr., age 88, of Waynesburg, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, peacefully at his residence in Waynesburg, Kentucky.  Born Saturday, June 8, 1935, in Buena Vista, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John and Bessie Cheatham Upton. His loving spouse, whom he married on June 8, 1957, is Joyce Harris Upton.  Harold worked on the Mail Train and retired from the Stanford Post Office, and was a US Army Veteran. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.  Harold was a Deacon for 55 years.  Harold also worked as a substitute bus driver for Lincoln County and loved to drive the High School Baseball Team.  Harold enjoyed volunteering at Fort Logan Hospital.  He also worked the election polls for years.  Harold loved his family dearly.  He also enjoyed farming, raising nut trees, and fishing.
In addition to his wife, Harold leaves behind two sons, Richard “Ricky” Upton of Waynesburg,  and Harold B Upton Jr. of Waynesburg; one daughter, Pamela Jo Smith (Keith) of Waynesburg;  6 grandchildren, R.J. Upton (Jill), Christopher Upton (Nikki), Elizabeth Smith, Catherine Smith Ortiz (Cruz), Cade Smith, and Tristan Upton; and great-grandchildren, Blake & Laken Upton, Dyson Upton, and Dallas & Drew Moore.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by one grandchild, Bo Upton; two brothers, Leonard Upton, and Joseph Cabel Upton; and three sisters, Elsie High, LoJuanna Antle, and Patricia Coffman.

Obituary Preview: Mildred “Meme” Avanell Baird, age 93 of Stanford, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023, in Lexington.  Mildred was born on Wednesday, November 19, 1930, in Vanceburg, Kentucky.  She was one of nine children born to the late Corbert and Cenia Porter, and later adopted by the late Robert and Addie Johnson.
In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Tommy Baird, daughter, Carol Baird, son, Jeffrey Baird, and Great Grandson, Josh Adkins.
She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Christian Church and played the piano for over 80 years.  She also played the organ for many years at Fox and Friend Funeral Home.  Meme loved her family fiercely and cherished each moment spent with them.
Survivors include her son, Greg (Janet) Baird, Grandchildren, Lisa Adkins, Tammy (Kenny) Smith, Tommy Murphy (Misty), Jill (Eric) Maggard, Boone (Karli) Baird, Jacob (Grace) Baird; 8 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great Grandchildren, and lifelong friend Alberta Hester.
A Public Visitation will be held 5PM-8PM Monday, December 18, 2023, at Mt. Moriah Christian Church.
A Public Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Mt. Moriah Christian Church, with Bro. Bill Gooch and Bro. Vola Brown officiating the service. The service will be livestreamed on Mildred’s memorial page of the funeral home’s website.

She was a member of 1st Church of God on Logan Avenue in Stanford.  Fay enjoyed life and loved spending time with her family.  She was known as “Mama Neal” to all who loved her. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and crafts.  Fay was also an amazing cook who loved to joke and laugh.
