Claudette D. (Godin) Boiteau 80, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Rene H. Boiteau. Claudette was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Claire (St Germain) Godin. She worked as a nutritional aide for Landmark Medical Center for thirty-five years retiring in 2020. Widowed at a young age, she was a hardworking, independent woman who quite ably managed all home repairs while working and caring for her family. She is survived by her children: Rene W. Boiteau and his wife Rachel of North Smithfield, Jacqueline A. Girard of Woonsocket, Denis A. Boiteau and his wife Paulette of Cumberland, Michael A. Boiteau and his wife Lisa of Norfolk, VA, and Jo-Anne C. Lambert and her husband Christopher of Sioux Falls, SD, nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Jeannine Godin of North Smithfield. She was predeceased by her siblings, Wilfred Godin and Lorraine Beausoleil. Her funeral will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 9:00AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.

Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Milton and Florette (Trudel) Carey. Thomas was a truck driver for most of his life working for several area truck companies including Yellow Freight, New Penn, Red Star and B & W, retiring fifteen years ago. He was a member of the Cercle Laurier. Tom enjoyed bird watching and spending time with family especially his grandchildren.
Besides his wife he leaves four children, Thomas R. Carey of Kansas City, KS, Wayne H. Carey of St. Cloud, FL, Gail Carey of Melbourne, FL, and Scott Carey of Clayton, NC, six stepchildren, Shana Enos of NH, Douglas Sylcestre of Mansfield, MA, Kimberly Sylvestre of Cumberland, David Silva and Wayne Henshaw both of Woonsocket and Travis Henshaw of FL, seven siblings, Milton Carey of Mansfield, Clem Carey of North Smithfield, Harvey Carey of MI, George Carey of Cecile Carey, Simone Roderick and Annette Patrie all of FL, ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

(Crepeau) Glaude 94, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Landmark Medical Center.  She was the beloved wife of the late Alcide Glaude, Pauline was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Romeo and Lucienne (Brissette) Crepeau. She worked as an injection molder for Tupperware in North Smithfield retiring in 1972. Pauline is survived by her children: Ronald P. Glaude and his wife Nancy of Franklin, NH, and Nancy Beaudoin of Woonsocket, eleven grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and two great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Romeo Crepeau and Muriel Malo. Pauline’s funeral with visitation will be held Monday, May 6, 2024, 9:30-11:00 AM in the Fournier &Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St, Woonsocket with a prayer service beginning at 10:45 AM. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.

Roland C. DiBasco 84, of St. Germain Manor passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024 at home. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Claudio and Loretta ( Lambert) Di Basco. Roland worked as a Landscaper for National Tree for many years and worked in the maintenance department of Fogarty Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed long walks and spending time with family. He is survived by his son Dennis DiBasco and his wife Heather of Saint Cloud, FL, and his sisters Gloria Di Basco of Woonsocket and Jeannette Di Basco of Providence. He was predeceased by his brothers George, John, and Roger DiBasco, and sisters Rena Beaulieu, Pauline Rondeau, Lillian Gelinas and Dorothy Walsh.
Roland’s committal Service will be Thursday, May 2, at 10:00 AM in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham, MA.

Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Frank and Loretta (Languirand) Morin. Bob joined the US Navy and served for twenty years, reaching the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He was a Vietnam veteran and retired in 1979 as the Food Service Administrator at the US Naval Air Station in Lemoore, CA. After returning home he worked as a 1st cook for The Holiday Retirement Home  and retired from St. Antoine Residence as Director of Food Service.
A Private burial was held in Precious Blood Cemetery.

She loved playing bingo, and poker and going to the casinos. Suzanne enjoyed going to the ocean and sitting on the rocks while her husband fished.
Besides her husband she leaves a daughter Rhonda Lacroix of Seattle WA, and a brother Roland Plante Sr. of Harrisville.

She was the wife of the late Gerald Durand, who passed away on December 23, 2018.  Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late John and Loretta (Henault) Lebrun. Rachel worked for many years as a cashier at Walmart before retiring over twenty years ago. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and talking to her sister every day. She also enjoyed shopping, traveling, working in the garden, floating in a tube in her pool when she was able, and watching the birds and squirrels outside. She enjoyed sitting outside on summer evenings and counting the planes that flew by with her husband when he was alive.  She loved to host family gatherings at her home.
She is survived by her children, Michael G. Durand of Woonsocket, Christine C. Twitchell of Florida, Cathleen L. Plante of Foster, and Jaime M. Durand of Woonsocket, with whom she lived, a sister Pauline A. Latour of New Bedford, MA and many loving grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Rd. Cumberland, RI. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. The family will greet guests beginning at 9:30 AM.

He is survived by his four daughters, Hilarie Viens, Nichole Marcolini, Arthia Daignault, and Nadeen Daignault; four grandchildren, Anthony Marcolini, Noah Erben-Fortes, Guinevere Brehio, and Lucas Daignault; seven sisters, Peggy Kocubia, Mary Boucher, Eva Daignault, Wanda Rousseau, Robin Kakazu, Paula Marcotte, and Tammy Daignault; and four brothers, Thomas, Michael, Robert, and Paul Daignault. A multitude of nieces and nephews spanning over three generations along with many other beloved in-laws.
Artie was known and loved by many. A lifelong handy man, an avid golfer, and hometown philanthropist. His fondest moments being spent with his grandchildren, riding his motorcycle, or being on the beach.

Dauphinais.  The couple was married for sixty-six years at the time of Emile’s passing on May 18, 2020. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Jean-Marc and Lillian (Archambault) Tessier. Mrs. Dauphinais worked as a matron for the Woonsocket School Department for twelve years until her retirement in 1990. She was a communicant of All Saints Parish and was a member of St. Joseph’s Seniors, Royal Travelers, and Memory Lanes Bowling League.
She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Bouley of Smithfield and Joanne Breault and her husband Richard of Blackstone, one son, Emile J. Dauphinais Jr. and his wife Jocelyne of Cape Coral, FL, siblings Robert Tessier of Enfield, NH, Jeanne Theroux of Woonsocket and Normand Tessier of FL, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son-in-law Deacon N. David Bouley.

Dennis William DuBois - December 24, 1950 - April 01, 2024

DuBois died peacefully in his home with his family by his side on April 1, 2024, at the age of 73.  His memory shall live on through the love he has shared with his family and friends.  He will be missed by his wife, Cheryl and their daughters, Brenda DuHamel and Pamela DuBois, his son-in-law, Steven, his five grandchildren, Jacob, Nicholas, Jenna, Jillian, and Allison, his great grandson Chase, and his siblings, Richard, Robert, Francine, Ronald and William.  He was the son of the late Francois and Alice (Irene) DuBois and the brother of the late Thomas DuBois.
Dennis will forever be remembered as a proud, independent, and hard-working man who treasured his family and close friends.  Months after his wedding, he served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea from 1970-72.  He worked as a machinist for Cott Soda for 12 years, Avery-Dennison for 32 years and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts for 9 years, as well as several part-time jobs on the side.  He loved cars, racing, playing cards, and working on projects around the house.
Cremation to take place in his home state of Georgia and burial services will be held at the RI Veteran’s Cemetery in Exeter, RI on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 10:30am.

Vinh was born in Vietnam, a son of the late Nhiep Van Le and Phuong Thi Duong. He was an officer and helicopter pilot in the South Vietnamese Air Force. He and his brother Binh escaped Saigon on April 30th 1975 with just a backpack. He graduated from Bryant College and worked as a data base administrator for many financial firms in Boston. He loved Volvos, going to the Get Strong Gym, traveling, eating pho, and discussing finance and politics. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, Vinh is survived by his children, Sylvie Le of Warwick, and Celeste Le and her husband Nigel Evangelista of East Providence and his brother Binh G. Le of Ontario, Canada. Visiting hours and remembrance will be held Saturday, March 16, from 9:00AM – 11:00 AM in the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland ST, Woonsocket. Burial in Swan Point Cemetery will be private and at a later date.

Obituary Preview: Constance T. (Hervieux) Pickering 93, formerly of Manville Rd, Woonsocket passed away peacefully Friday, March 1, 2024 at St Antoine Residence, North Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Pickering. Constance was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Rosario and Aurore (Lareau) Hervieux. Her first job was in the shoe factories of Milford, MA where she worked in the stitching department. She later worked in the lunch program for many years at Woonsocket High School as a cook’s helper before retiring. Constance had a zest for life, she loved the outdoors and was an avid camper. She and her family frequently went camping in their trailer at Fisherman’s Memorial Park in Narragansett. In her youth she loved to ski and later worked as a ski patroller at the Klein Innsbruck ski area in Franklin, MA Constance was also an avid swimmer and was a member of the Cumberland Boys and Girls Club. But her greatest joy was spending time with her seven grandchildren. Matt, Chris, Ben, Jon, Kyle, Brittany and Andy were the loves of her life, and they spent countless days at her house swimming in “Grandma’s pool” and having picnics and playing in her field and yard.
She is survived by her children: David Pickering and his wife Gail of Lincoln, Michael Pickering and his wife Frances of N. Chelmsford, MA, and Steven Pickering and his wife Michelle, of Cumberland, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Noella was employed at a variety of companies and positions throughout her life, including: line work at UniRoyal and Bancroft Companies, receptionist for a medical office and cafeteria server for Mark Stevens until her retirement in 1988. Noella was a Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Ann’s Church and member of their Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her daughters, Louise D. Hemond and Anita Blanchard and her husband Lucien, both of Harrisville, two grandsons, James and Justin Blanchard and his wife Katie, and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan and Faith. Noella was predeceased by her daughter Ann Marie Hemond and siblings David, Camille, George, Robert, Lucien, Florent and Jean Paul Verrier, and Gabrielle Robert.

Born in Biddeford, ME, he was a son of the late Julien and Rose Beatrice (Camire) Thibodeau. Paul was a Brother of the Sacred Heart for seventeen years and taught at Mt. St. Charles Academy as Br. Rosario. After leaving the order he worked at Superior Plastic as a General Foreman for a few years. He then worked as the night custodian for Woonsocket City Hall for fourteen years and later worked for The Homestead Group until his retirement fifteen years ago. Paul enjoyed bingo, playing cards, and doing jigsaw puzzles. He loved all sports but especially loved watching his grandson play hockey. Paul had a great outlook on life, a smile on his face and a great love for his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who know him.
Besides his wife he leaves his girls, Patricia Brouillard and her husband Brian, and Pamela Mauricio and her companion Jeffrey Mello all of Woonsocket, two brothers, Gerald A. Thibodeau of GA, and Richard A. Thibodeau of Biddeford ME. He was the loving grandfather of Michael Paul Brouillard, Madison Mauricio and Isabella Mauricio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Paul was predeceased by his brothers, Robert L. Thibodeau, Gerard J. Thibodeau and Rene M. Thibodeau.

She was born in Woonsocket, the daughter of the late Rosario and Imelda (Carriere) Cote. Connie worked for many years as an underwriter for the Keogh -Kirby Insurance Agency, retiring in 1978. She was a devout member of Holy Trinity Parish and was a member of the Ladies Guild, volunteering many years at the parish bazaar, bingo, and the OLQM Carnival kitchen. Connie enjoyed crafting, antiquing, and shopping. Her door was always open to all visitors and she was always ready with a home cooked meal or the suggestion of going out to eat, her treat! Connie and Gerry also enjoyed many years of wintering in Port St Lucie FL where they made many close friends. She also became a friend to the staff and residents during her stay at the Friendly Home. She will surely be missed. Connie is survived by her son Denis Chamberland and his wife Debra of North Smithfield, her grandchildren; David Chamberland and his wife Chelsea, Stephen Chamberland and his fiancee Deanna, and great grandchildren; Alexandria and Sebastian Chamberland. She was predeceased by her brothers, Roland and Paul Cote.

Robert H. Ferland 74, of Parkview Manor, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023 at home. He was born in Woonsocket, a son of the late Sylvio and Faye (Barrs) Ferland.  Robert was an army veteran of the Vietnam War. While much of his early working life was spent in local textile mills, his greatest love was cooking and he worked in the kitchen and cafeteria at Landmark Medical Center as well as the RI Rehabilitation Hospital before retiring in 2015. Mostly he will be remembered as a great and loving brother who loved animals.
He is survived by his siblings: Marcel Ferland of Woonsocket, James Ferland of Bellingham, and Sylvia Belhumeur of Woonsocket. He was also the brother of the late Lawrence, Ronald, Patricia and Linda Ferland.
His funeral with Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at 10:00 am in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. The family will receive guests at 9:30 inside the entrance to the church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Tammy passed away peacefully at her home in Rhode Island.
She had a heart of gold, liked meeting new people and made friends pretty easily. If you had the honor and privilege to have met Tammy “ YAYA “ Rhodes at any of the many Craft and Vendor events she organized, you knew you met someone special. If you kept doing her events you then became Family. Tammy loved Family either by blood, Best Friends or A Vendor Family member. She started doing her crafts when she became a grandma and the grandkids needed hair bows and birthday outfits. She loved making items for her customers and the joy of seeing the pictures or thank you cards.
Tammy held many jobs throughout her 55 years of life. At the time of her Passing, She was employed with Elite Physical Therapy/ Ivy Rehab in North Smithfield, RI. She was there a short time and loved her Elite Family. Right before joining Elite , she worked for H&R Block in MA and RI. She loved the people there as well.
Tammy was born in French Camp, Ca from the marriage of Gerald Schnaible and Norma Moen. As a toddler, Tammy was adopted by Harry Denier. On July 29th , 2000 She married David Rhodes
Tammy has 3 sons, Michael Hoff & wife Julia of RI, David Hoff & wife Jacqui of CO, and Nick Denier of ND.
Tammy was the oldest sibling to Debora”Debbie” Archambeau of ND, Daniel”Danny” Denier of CA., Heath Schnaible of NH, Jacob Schnaible of RI , and Jessica Schnaible of RI.
She is survived by her husband of 23 yrs, David Rhodes. All of the above mentioned and 5 Grandchildren Arianna, Kylie, Bentley, Paisley and Harleigh and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. She is preceded in death  by Her Mother Norma J “ Mamie”  Moen, and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
A Celebration of Life/ Brief Service is being held Sat 12/30/ 23 at Smithfield Elks 2359 , 326 Farnum Pike, Smithfield RI 02917 from 12-4 In lieu of Flowers make a donation to a charity in her name.   Please visit: www.fournierandfournier.com for condolences.

Joyal. Born in Leominster, MA, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Martha (Lavoie) Bilow. Ruth spent most of her life caring for her family. When her children were school age, she volunteered for the lunch program at the Greater Woonsocket Catholic Regional School. Later in life she worked for CD Burns for ten years, before retiring twenty-five years ago. Ruth was an avid seamstress and loved making her children’s clothing.
Besides her husband she leaves her children, Patricia Bourget and her husband Normand of Woonsocket, Ann-Marie Simard and her husband John of N. Smithfield, and Michael Joyal of Cumberland. She also leaves her grandchildren, Christopher and his wife Jaclyn, Jonathan and Bethany Bourget, Michele Robinson and her husband Kevin, Matthew Simard and his wife Amanda, Hope, Holly, Hazel, and Helena Joyal and one great-grandchild on the way and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Robert and brothers Leon and William Bilow.

Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Urgel and Emelina (Arel) Lambert. Priscilla worked as an assembler for most of her life at local companies including Tech Industries, Sadwins and Tupperware.
She is survived by her daughters Claudette Plante and her husband Bruce of Woonsocket, and Janet Gagne and her husband Gary of Pawtucket, four grandchildren, Tammy Cote and her husband Jeremy, Sherri Murphy, Michelle Haskins, Gary Gagne, and eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Chloe, Caiden, Haley, Amber, Joshua, Austin, and Lily. She also leaves her sisters Pauline Bileau and Suzanne Dumont both of Woonsocket. Priscilla was predeceased by a great grandchild Jason and her siblings, Louis, Paul, and Richard Lambert, Cecile Lariviere, and Muriel Payette.
Her funeral will be held Friday, December 15, 2023, at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket with visitation from 9:00 – 10:00 AM followed by committal prayers at St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph A and Diana (Provencal) Beaudoin. Estelle worked for the former Bancroft Co. for several years and was proud to say she actually made a tennis racquet for Tennis Pro, Billy Jean King. She later was a manager for Cumberland Farms for many years before retiring. Estelle enjoyed vacationing in Florida and going to the beach. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Estelle is survived by her daughters Debra Desrosiers of Woonsocket, and Donna Bourget of North Smithfield with whom she lived and a son Roland Belanger of FL. She also leaves a sister Irene Pianka of Lincoln, many grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Estelle was predeceased by her siblings, Marcel, Leo, Richard, and Romeo Beaudoin, Suzanne Spink, Rita Dubois, and Claudette Blais.
Her funeral will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd. Woonsocket. Visiting hours will be held Monday, December 18th from 4-6 PM. Burial is private.
