Reginald Scott Palmer - March 06, 1943 - April 11, 2024

Obituary Preview: R. Scott Palmer was born to John and Eula Palmer on March 6, 1943, and passed peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 11, 2024.
A member of Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church and previously Judson Baptist Church, Scotty loved the Lord and attended services until his health prevented. He loved his family and extended family and enjoyed hunting, golfing and spending time at the family “camp” in Seebert, WV.
Scott was an electrician in the coal mines for over 20 years. Oh, the stories he shared! He had many friends in the mines, and they loved playing practical jokes on each other. If any of his buddies’ sandwiches were missing from their lunch pail, they knew that “Porky”, (one of Scott’s nicknames) was the culprit. His time with those guys was precious and he spoke of them often. Scott loved his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He would sit on his front porch swing and watch them play in the yard. Scott’s health began deteriorating with a diagnosis of Parkinsons and his wife, Sandra immediately stepped in to make sure he was taken care of. Sandra encouraged him to exercise each day and kept him mobile until 3 weeks before his passing. She is a hero to her family!
Scott was preceded in death by his father, John; his mother, Eula; in-laws Sola and Marie Bickford and many special uncles, aunts and cousins.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 60 years, Sandra; son, Tim (Lori); daughter, Cyndy (Chris) and youngest son, David; granddaughters, Alex (John), Quincy (AJ), Raegan; grandsons, Reid, Colby (Brooke); bonus grandkids, CJ (Erica), Sydney (Ethan) and Zane (Evan); great-grandson, Easton and bonus great-granddaughter, Kate; sister-in-law, Linda Munilla and her children held a special place in Scott’s heart as well as several cousins.
