Survivors include husband Maurice G. Marceau, two daughters Vicki Letarte of Windham, ME and Pamela Moriarty of Springvale, ME, four grandchildren Joshua J. Letarte, Nathan Letarte, Kelly Brewer, Tasha Worcester, six great grandchildren Colton, Kason, Beckett, Tenley, Piper, Paige. Burial will be in the Sarasota VA National Cemetery, spring of 2017

Rose is survived by her husband, Rev. H. Phillip Anthony of Venice, Florida, her daughter’s Deborah and Daniel Stockton of Maryville, TN and Rachelle Anthony, of Sarasota, FL; 2 son’s Daniel and wife Debbie Anthony of Thomasville, NC and Dr. Stephen Anthony and wife Joanna of Madison, MS. Rose also had 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was a graduate of Henry Ford high school and Edison Institute in Greenfield Village, Dearborn, Mich. She worked various positions from home and as an Administrative Secretary. She was a faithful pastor’s wife married for 67 years. Rose resided her last five years at the Sunset Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center in Venice. She thoroughly enjoyed the staff and was grateful to call many of them her friends. For seventy-two years Rose endured and overcame crippling arthritis, surgeries, pain, medications and treatments could not keep Rose from accomplishing her life’s mission of sharing and living the life message of Proverb’s and blessing the lives of her peers with the hope of Christ. Now she rest’s!
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 10:00am, at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Ewing Chapel.

Bill was born in Sarasota, FL on April 6, 1951 and raised in Venice, FL.
Bill graduated from Venice High School in 1969. He also attended Manatee Junior College and continued his education formally and informally throughout his life.
Bill had a love for boats and boating. One of his early jobs in life was as a test driver for Mercury Motors and he maintained his Captain’s License. Bill also enjoyed flying and obtained a Pilot’s License as well. Above all his main passion in life was motorcycle riding. He had been an avid rider for more than 50 years and enjoyed the mechanics of the bikes as well.
Bill was preceded in death by his father and mother Joe and Edith Hurt, brothers Carlton and Jay, and daughter Nova Lee Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved granddaughter Emily Marie Phillips, his sister Jo-Anne Hurt, sister-in-law Sandra Hurt, nephews Joe and Randy Hurt, niece Mary Hurt McMullen, 3 grandnephews and 2 grandnieces.

She was born January 30, 1927 in Creve Coeur, Missouri and moved to Venice in 1969.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Ferdinand (Ferd) Diestel and her beloved parents, Walter and Jennie Lowe.
She worked many years for the Missouri Farm Bureau. She served as President 9 years for the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Epiphany Cathedral where she enjoyed being of service to her church and fellow parishioners. Myrtle enjoyed supporting Ferd in his responsibilities with the Knights of Columbus. In her younger years she enjoyed doing needlework, quilting and fabric painting. Her family has several of her beautiful pieces which they still enjoy.
She will be greatly missed by her many cousins, a host of friends and her best friend Rita Riebel and her husband John.
Visitation will be held on Thursday September 15, 2016 from 9:30AM to 11:00 AM at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Ewing Chapel, 140 E. Venice Ave., Venice.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday September 15, 2016 at 11:30 AM at Epiphany Cathedral Catholic Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Leroy David Herman, her daughters Lori Brisselli (married to Rinaldo “Bill” Brisselli) of Punta Gorda, FL, and Nancy LeBrun (married to Gabriel LeBrun) of Hudson, WI, and her son Douglas Herman (married to Corinne Herman) of St. Charles, IL. In addition, she is survived by her 4 grandchildren: Kyara, Noah, and Holly LeBrun, and Brett Herman. She is also survived by her sister, Marjorie Williams of Venice, FL (formerly of Mission, KS).
Donella was born on Aug. 18, 1931 in Nevada, MO and grew up in Harrison, AR. She moved to Kansas City, MO in 1960 where she met Leroy on a blind date on New Year’s Eve. Later, they became engaged on Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, HI. They honeymooned in HI in 1962 during their move to Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean. They eventually moved to suburban Washington, D.C. and Madison, WI before they retired and moved to Venice, FL 19 years ago.
Donella loved socializing with her family and friends, cooking, live theatre and music, and traveling all over the world. She was a member of the Pelican Point Women’s Club, Ladies Golf Association, as well as the head of their Ladies Inter-Club Bridge Group among other bridge groups in Venice. She will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation will be held at Toale Brothers Funeral Homes, Ewing Chapel at 140 E. Venice Ave. in Venice, FL. This Thurs. Aug. 4, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00p.m. followed by a Service immediately afterwards.

He grew up in Perth Amboy, NJ. Graduation in 1966 from Perth Amboy High School. He spent 2 years attending Newark College of Engineering before entering the United States Air force in September 1968, proudly serving our country from 1968 until 1972. Upon retiring home he chose a career serving the town he grew up in, Perth Amboy, first as a police officer and then a firefighter, retiring in 1999 after completing 27 years of service. In the year 2000 after retirement to Sarasota, FL. Jack and his wife Barbara relocated settling in Venice. He would then spend the next 14 years in the employment of the Home Depot on University Parkway working solely in the building materials department, it is there where the affectionate term “Lumberjack” came to be. He was a life member of the American Legion Post 45 of Perth Amboy. He enjoyed boating, fishing and billiards.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Ruth Anderson, a sister, Judith Francese.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Barbara and their faithful companion Winston of Venice, FL; sister, Donna Mills of Venice, Sister-in-law, Patricia Lisowski (Paul) of Pt. Pleasant, NJ; many nieces and nephews with 2 great nieces and cousins.

Jacquelyn Lusby Weatherred - February 04, 1929 - May 02, 2016

Obituary Preview: JACQUELYN LUSBY WEATHERRED (formerly, PRATT) passed away peacefully on May 2, 2016, in Venice, FL after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 87, residing at The Windsor of Venice for the past 4 ½ years.
Jacquelyn was born February 4, 1929 in Washington, DC to Jackson Cole Lusby and Blanche May Mayo Lusby. She was raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 1947. There she made many lifelong friends she would stay in touch with throughout her life. She attended Abbott Art School in Washington, DC, but left to work for the US Government, finding herself stationed in Europe. She returned to the states and married Benjamin Cabell Pratt in 1957. They lived in Richmond, VA, Tampa, FL and Yorktown Heights, NY, finally settling in Fort Myers, FL in 1969. There she raised three children and enjoyed a career in Real Estate with Pate Realty. She also enjoyed an avid social life with Benjamin who worked in Lee County Government for many years as well as South FL Water Management. Both were active in Rotary and Engineering Society functions, to name a few, until Benjamin passed away in February 2000. Jacquelyn enjoyed sailing with friends, the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Islands, traveling to anywhere and her friends and pets.
In 2003, Jacquelyn eloped with a high school friend, Charles (CJ) Weatherred, and moved with him to Dexter, Michigan and Greensboro, Georgia, while maintaining her residence, in Venice, FL. Together they traveled extensively and lived like teenagers in love, making the most of every moment together until Alzheimer’s took its toll on her, bringing them to the Windsor of Venice in late 2011. There, she lived with her husband and family of caregivers she loved so dearly.
Jacquelyn is survived by her beloved husband, Charles Weatherred of Venice, FL, her sons, Capt. Dennis C Pratt (Laura) of Chester, VA, Lt Timothy C Pratt (Carol) of Naples, FL, and daughter, Kerry Pratt Horne (Greg) of Fort Myers, FL., her 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, her only sister, Shirley Anne Lusby Magness of Largo, FL, sister-in-law Frances Sheridan Townsend (William) and many nieces and nephews with whom she was always close. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Shirley Pratt (Bill) of Reston, VA, as well as her 6 stepchildren, their 10 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren she thoroughly enjoyed. She was preceded in death by husband, Benjamin C Pratt, her parents, Jackson and Blanche Lusby, and her most loved child of all, her last cat, Petie Pratt.
The family would like to thank Jacquelyn’s special family at the Windsor of Venice, with longtime caregivers, Jivka Fuller, Radica Nikolic and many more. They, with her evening Angel, Sladjana Miljkovic, and Tidewell Hospice kept her comfortable and happy until the Angels came for her.
A celebration on her life is scheduled for 12 noon, May 27th, visitation, 11 AM, at Ewing Chapel, 140 E. Venice Ave., Venice, FL, with reception to follow at Left Coast Seafood Co., in Venice. She will be laid to rest in Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD.
