Mando Ramos - February 26, 1972 - January 28, 2022

Departed: 01/28/2022 (Elsa)
Obituary Preview: Mando Ramos, 49, was a caring father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all. He was called to be with the Lord on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by his family. His battle with continued medical issues showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. He was born on February 26, 1972 to Pantaleon and Alicia Ramos. He is preceded in death by his loving mother, Alicia Ramos, who is standing by our Lord to greet him in heaven. Anyone who knew Mando knew that his family meant everything to him, especially his pride and joy, his grandson he adored endlessly, Justin “Baby J'' Villanueva. If you exchanged a conversation with him you were certain to hear a story about his grandson or see his latest picture or video of him. He was his world. His children Myranda and Mando were blessed with an amazing father that was there for them every step of the way. Any given Sunday, or Cowboy Game Day, you could bet he was hoping for that Cowboy win. Growing up a loyal Cowboys fan, meant it was a day of celebration surrounded by family and friends. These are the days that his brother, sisters, family and friends will forever cherish. The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Mando. Whether it was an athletic game or school performance, he always found a way to show his support for all his nieces and nephews, he was their biggest supporter. Near or far, he was cheering them on with that “Proud Uncle” glow. He took so much pride in making sure they knew he was there for them. Mando was beyond proud of his town, Weslaco. He always gave back to the community when he could, especially to the athletes. If he knew them or not, he rooted for them, saying he needed to support the Weslaco kids! Mando was a Weslaco Little League Board member and volunteer. He enjoyed all the opportunities he was given to be on those baseball fields, making memories with people he met along the way. He always wanted the best for kids! Mando was generous, kind, and would often find humor in any conversation. He was often a source of positivity, always lending a helping hand, shoulder to cry on, or just simply there to listen to you at any time of day. Mando touched the lives of so many people across multiple generations. To say that his family and friends will miss him is an understatement. Heaven gained an angel that will watch over us all. Mando is survived by his loving children, Myranda (Justin) Ramos and Mando Ramos Jr., his grandson he adored, Justin Villanueva Jr., his father Pantaleon Ramos, his siblings Estela Ramos, Daniel Wayne Ramos(Susie), Yvette Perez(Robert), his nieces and nephews Deran, Orlando, Jayden, Aaron, Jarred, Alyssa, Joseph and Camila. Our family invites you to celebrate the life of our beloved Mando. Visitation will be on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and will continue on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:00 P.M. at Eternal Light Funeral Home at 201 N Broadway in Elsa, Texas.
