Obituary Preview: Donna Gayle Esquer, Age 92, died Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Loma Linda Hospital, California. She was the daughter of Walter and Mildred Boedeker and was born in Readlyn, Iowa. Donna lived in Iowa and Minnesota, then moved to California in 1955.
Donna was a wife to the late Gilbert Esquer for 47 years. She was preceded in death by her brother Merrill Boedeker, sister Marcia Peters, and sister Virginia Fenske. Donna is survived by her sister Elva Ellermann, stepdaughter Emily Goss, and sons Mark and Micheal Esquer. She is also survived by two step grandchildren and eight grandchildren.
Donna received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from CSU Los Angeles in 1979. She enjoyed making dolls, quilting, and making photo albums. She also enjoyed breakfast at the Kafe Royale in Calimesa with many friends.

On March 13, 2024, at the age of 65, Dave went to be with our Lord and Savior, in La Quinta, California. He valiantly fought a Stage IV cancer diagnosis for 3 years.
Dave will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He is survived by the love of his life and wife, Dee Dee, brothers John and Mark, sister Janis, many nieces and nephews, step-children and a grandson. Parents Richard and Mary, and brother Dick preceded him in death.
Dave will be remembered as a true gentleman. He was kind, courteous, brave, gracious, humble and loving. He was an athlete and loved competitive sports. His passion later in life was Pickleball. He was nick-named “Super Dave” on the court because of his “never give up” spirit! He was so loved by his family of Pickleball friends.
After the passing of his brother Dick, Dave took over the helm of the Granger Company, a Wood Chip Mill based in Clarkston, Washington. Dave successfully managed and directed the affairs of the business and negotiated the sale of the mill to Clearwater paper in 2012. Dave was a living example of Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.”
Dave will be buried at Hillside Memorial Park, 1540 Allesandro Road, Redlands, CA 92373 on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 11 am followed by a luncheon. A Celebration of Life will be at Fritz Burns Pickleball Courts, on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 5:30 pm.

Obituary Preview: Brett Richards, a beloved husband, friend, brother, son, and inspiration to many, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2024. Born August 10, 1983, in Southern California he spent many of his childhood years growing up with his family in Lytle Creek, CA. He met the love of his life, Nicole, at Redlands High School in 1998, and the two were married in 2007. Despite the passing of his father in early 2005, Brett remained an unwavering beacon of positivity and determination, even in the face of a subsequent off-roading accident that left him paralyzed that same year. Brett remained an avid car lover, outdoorsman and athlete, enjoying activities such as off-roading, car modifications, camping, anything outdoors or tech related. He began competitive hand cycling after his spinal cord injury and went on to become a sponsored para-athlete for Loma Linda Team Possibilities', touching the lives of countless others with his resilience, kindness, and positivity. Brett's positivity and light shined through even during the toughest moments, including his courageous battle with leukemia from 2019 onward. Brett was predeceased by his father, Thomas Richards, who passed away in 2005. Brett is survived by his wife Nicole Richards, his brother John Richards, his mother Joann Jacobs, and a wide circle of family and friends who all considered him a brother. Also, his beloved Doberman, Stella. His loving spirit is forever carried in our hearts.

She was a dedicated mother to her two children Joshua and Samantha. Over the years the family has grown to include her daughter in law Kayla and son in law kevin, and her grandchildren who she loved Kallian, Aiden, Zachary, Gavin and Jacob.
A memorial service will be held on January 23rd at 11am at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel followed by a private graveside service at 130pm at Riverside National Cemetery.

Constance Wilhelmina Laverty Crumpacker, affectionately known as Connie, passed away on October 20, 2023, at the age of 85, in Yucaipa, California. Born on April 21, 1938, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, Connie was the cherished daughter of Peter and Constance Laverty. Due to her father's health challenges, the Laverty family moved 18 times before finding a permanent home in Palm Springs, CA.
Connie's journey was marked by resilience and adaptability. She embraced life's changes with grace and determination. Connie held various jobs throughout her life, including a position at Southern California Edison, where she would meet the love of her life, William "Bill" Crumpacker. Devoted to her community, Connie was an active member of the local Rainbow Girls assembly, serving as Mother Advisor, and later contributing to the White Shrine. Her interests were as diverse as her experiences, ranging from sewing and watercolor painting to gardening and tracing her family's rich history. Connie had a special fondness for monarch butterflies, earning her the affectionate nickname "butterfly mama."
Connie is survived by her loving daughter, Kathy Crumpacker of Yucaipa. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, and her parents, Peter and Constance Laverty.

path for those who walked alongside him. Vince is survived by his loving wife, Roxanne Soisson and children, Vanessa (Ed) Ireton, Amber
(Carlos) Otero, Nicole Garrison, Daniel Garrison, Samantha (Evan) Murley and Amanda Dye. His sisters Cherie Drysdale, Michelle (Jeremy) Andre and Perla Rivera. Brothers, Todd Kunkle, Mike (Kathy) Clark II, Jason Clark, and Shane & Nikki Clark ,His stepfather Mike (Darlene) Clark, his

Janet grew up in Gooding, Idaho. She graduated from Gooding High School in 1971 and attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho where she met and fell in love with her husband Tim. The two were married in 1974 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. The couple settled in Rancho Cucamonga, California in 1986, where they raised their five children, moving to Yucaipa, California in 2018.
Janet was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 25th at 4:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints chapel, 12776 6th St, Yucaipa, CA 92399.

Anna was born to Harold and Eileen Parsons on September 23, 1944.
Anna grew up in Yucaipa. After attending Yucaipa High School, Anna was active in the Yucaipa community making children’s lives better through her continuous efforts as a PTA president, Girl Scout Troop leader and softball coach and manager for many years.
Her family will remember Anna Marie as a woman who lived her life the way she wanted. She enjoyed and loved her family, travelling and collecting art with Tom, celebrating with family (she was probably one of the only grandma’s to dance Gangnam style at her grand-daughter’s wedding), wearing bright and shiny earrings, taking trips to the desert, cooking Christmas pies and special pasta. Grammie Bear had a big kitchen and an even bigger heart.

Obituary Preview: Steven Alfred Mathes passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25th, 2023 at the Yucaipa Hills Memory Care. He was born in Indiana on January 27, 1956.
He joined the U.S. Air Force and was a security specialist from 1975 to 1981.
Steven had been very involved in missionary work in Orange County and Mexico; distributing food and helping with the construction of buildings. He was employed in hospitals as a surgical/OR tech for the past 18+ years.
Steven is survived by his father, Earl Richard Mathes, and his siblings; Clint (David) Mathes, Richard Mathes, Robert Bodamer, Patricia (Bodamer) Jaskolski, Ken Bodamer, and Phillip Bodamer.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, July 17th, 2023 at 12:30pm at the Riverside National Cemetery; he will be honored by the Blue Eagles Honor Guard.
Steven was energetic in his opinions when discussing religion, relationships, health, etc. and we will miss who he was and truly hope his joy with our Lord is now abundantly overflowing.

California.
George married the love of his life Pat on May 3, 1975. They spent 48 wonderful years together.
Their daughter was born in 1980 and their son was born in 1982.
George is preceded in death by his parents Carl & Bertha, brothers Bill & Butch, and son Greg. He is survived by his wife Pat, daughter Kris, Son-in-Law Eric, sisters Carol, Biff, and Sue, and
grandchildren Russell, Courtney, and Preston.

Lewis Daniel “Dan or Danny” Vance II passed on from this world on June 1, 2023, in Yucaipa, California. He came into this world on October 21, 1944, in Los Angeles, California, the son of Lewis D. Vance and Mary “Molly” Vance, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother, Greg Vance; his sister, Valerie Vance; his nephews Justin Austin and David Austin; his beloved grand niece, Alice; and grand-nephews Brandon, Devyn, Trenton, Cameron and Camden.
Danny visited several of his first cousins during his many road trips, including numerous friends on his itinerary. He oftentimes rode his Harley-Davidson motorcycle during these long journeys. He was also the proud owner of a succession of impeccably maintained motorcycles and Ford Mustangs.
Dan shared a particularly close friendship with his first cousin Jeff Cooper, who preceded Dan in death. He is also missed by his long-time, loyal friend, Retta.
All those who responded to the news of his passing said that he had a kind, generous and loving heart. He was always ready to help those around him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, which would give way to laughter from all those around him. He will be forever missed and forever loved.
Several private memorials are planned with family, a number of whom reside in far-flung areas of the country.

For the past 5 years he was a handyman and married the love of his life, Lisia Freeman Dorough, together they started a new life and moved to Fort Mohave, AZ. All his friends called him the Bionic Man, he was a man of many talents, Tony said he would give you the shirt off his back and it was a privilege to have known him. Jerry passed on May 17th, from a brain aneurysm, just 6 days after his 5th wedding anniversary at Arrowhead Regional while here visiting his parents and fixing a friend's truck.
