The visitation will be following the mass from 11 - 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elias Funeral Home, cremation rites have been accorded. Born February 6, 1959 in Streator, he was the son of Paul and Margaret (Farrington) Angelos. He was formerly married to Jill Martin. He is survived by his daughter Ashley (Ryan) Klein of Glen Ellyn, IL, granddaughter Palmer Klein, siblings Karen (Jack) Bottoms of Streator, Sue (Ron) Grubich of Peru, Dave (Michelle) Angelos of LaSalle and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents. Scott attended St. Mary's grade school and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1977. He worked as a welder and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish. Scott was a kind-hearted man who always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, watching sports, and looked forward to attending church each Saturday. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Feb. 23rd, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish, burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, serving as pallbearers will be Jim Abry; Bill Abry; Mike Ferguson, Ron ‘Corky’ Marshall, John ‘Zeke’ Parzgnat; and Terry Roper.  A visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Elias Funeral Home. Born June 3, 1938 in Pontiac, IL, he was the son of Clarence and Helen (Setzer) DeFrees, he married Judy Amell August 20, 1960. He is survived by his wife Judy of Streator, daughters Debbie Pohlod of Streator, Paula DeFrees of Elmhurst, IL, granddaughters Lexi Pohlod and Casey Danko and a great granddaughter Mackenzie Valent. Also surviving is a brother Gerald DeFrees of Pontiac and sister Helen Abry of Odell, IL and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Ron Pohlod in 2012, siblings James DeFrees, Ken “Kam” DeFrees, Robert DeFrees, Mary Ferguson, John DeFrees and William “Jake” DeFrees. Paul attended Odell Grade School, Pontiac High School and the University of Illinois where he received a BS in Pharmacy.  His pharmacy career spanned 55 years and included Wayside Drugs, Streator Drugs, St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator and Medi-Rx in Ottawa, IL. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Parish, the Streator Knights of Columbus and was the unofficial door greeter at the Streator V.F.W. for Wednesday Chicken night.  He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a very charitable man supporting numerous organizations in Streator and across the united states. Born November 18, 1937 in Streator, he was the son of Alonzo and Mabel (Schoenberger) Mc Coy, he married Necia Lunderman November 3, 1963, she passed away May 10, 2014. He is survived by grandchildren Christen Schriener of Streator, Scott Schriener of South America, Chad Brown, Jeremy Brown, Jason Brown and Tracy Brown, great-grandchildren Anthony Blameuser, Kelsi Rodriguez, Rhianna Hansen, Keira Eddards and Donovan Eddards. Also surviving are great-great grandchildren Darian Schriener, Josh Brown, Isabella Brown, Samantha Doty and Christopher Clift. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and all his siblings. He graduated from Streator Township High School in 1955, then served in the United States Army. He worked at Knoedler Mfg, retired from Streator Brick and helped farm for sevealr years. Raymond Lee Lundberg - Unknown - January 09, 2019

Obituary Preview: Raymond Lee Lundberg passed away unexpectedly in early December 2018.
Ray was born to Philip and Betty Lundberg on March 14, 1951.  He was the second of three children. Ray grew up in Maywood, IL, attending Lincoln Elementary School and Proviso East High School.  He furthered his education at Southern Illinois University.  After leaving SIU, he joined the Chicago Carpenters Union, Local 54, and attended their apprenticeship program.  He worked for the union until the early 1990’s when he made a career switch to driving 18 wheelers for CRST, Crete Carriers, and lastly JB Hunt.  While at JB Hunt, Ray achieved one million miles with no accident.
Ray left Maywood in 1982 after his parents retired to the family’s farm and lived on his own before he became a truck driver.  As his parents aged and needed assistance, Ray moved to the farm to aid in their care.
Ray had a passion for cooking and delighted his family with wonderful dinners and his signature cheesecake.  He loved his family and the family’s many pets.  Ray will be deeply missed.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents and brother, John.
Ray is survived by his sister Janice (Kevin) Callahan, sister-in-law Linda Lundberg, nephew Josh (Kari) Lundberg, niece Sara (James) Cobb, niece Amanda (James) Valdez, and great nieces and nephew - Berit and Beck Lundberg, Paige Cobb, and Lillian and Rose Valdez.
A memorial service celebrating Ray’s life will be held on March 16, 2019, at 11am at the Ransom United Methodist Church in Ransom, Illinois.

Full military rites will be provided by members of the Leslie G. Woods American Post #217 and Veterans of Foreign War Post #1492. Another member of America's Greatest Generation has passed. Jerry Ploskunak was born on December 5, 1921. A lifelong resident of Streator, Jerry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gwendolyn. Jerry served in World War II and was awarded a Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.  But his heroism also extended to the loving devoted care he gave to Gwennie ("Baby") for over 20 years after she suffered a debilitating stroke. Jerry was a fun loving person who belonged to the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, and Saint Stephen's Church. Jerry is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She graduated from Streator Township High School in 1980, she worked at Aldi Distribution. Carol will be forever missed by her Family: Siblings-  Jackie Kennel, Suzanne Schorn, and Dean Chanberlin. Children-Robert Salisbury, Larry Salisbury, and Bonnie (William ) Risley. Grandchildren- Christopher Salisbury, Dustin (Lauren) Risley, Lindsay (Craig) Ramza, Joel Risley, Cliff (Angela) Salisbury, Adam (Arin) Salisbury, Whitney Risley, Tucker (Samantha) Risley. He attended local grade schools and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1959, he worked for Owens Glass and General Mills. He was a Dairy Farmer, Grain Farmer, and involved in trucking for many years. He was a former member of the Grace United Methodist Church. Gene was very active and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, camping, going to the fair, and trips to Mt. He is survived by his wife Darlene of Grand Ridge, sons Mike Richards of Grand Ridge, Curt (Tara) Bedei of Streator, grandchildren Danielle Richards, Megan Richards, Samual Richards, Laci Richards and Emily McBride. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and uncle and aunt Herb (Marion) Bedei. He attended Center Country School, Grand Ridge Grade School and graduated from Streator Township High School in 1957. He was farmer in Grand Ridge, worked at NAPA, was a mechanic at Melvin Trucking and ran Basic Feeds on the farm, he loved all aspects of farming, spent countless hours bailing hay and cleaning oats. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Christian Farmers Association, a FFA Alum, he volunteered his time being a bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Carl was a hard worker, he was a humble man, the kind of man they don’t make anymore. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday Nov. 24, 2018 at the Elias Funeral Home. The Rev. Anne Ferguson of the First United Methodist Church will officiate. Full military rites will be provided after the service at the funeral home by members of the American Legion Post #217 and Veterans of Foreign War Post #1492. Burial will be held at a later date in Riverview Cemetery. A visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the Elias Funeral Home. Born December 28, 1932 in Streator, he was the son of Harold and Eunice (Davidson) Mitchell, he married Marilyn Phyllis Pyle on June 30, 1952. He is survived by his wife Marilyn of rural Streator, children Deborah (Mark) Neubauer of Streator, Paula (John) Bennett of Scottsdale AZ, Linda (Dennis) Crowley of Cary, IL, Richard (Theresa) Mitchell of Phoenix, AZ. Ruth was a loving and caring person, she made everyone around her feel comfortable. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. He is preceded in death by his father, brother James and step-father Raymond Houser. He graduated from DeVry University. He did maintenance and repair on industrial machinery and sold patterns of his woodworking designs. He spent many hours woodworking, loved to fish, hunt, and camp. He also spent many hours woodworking or sitting in the backyard watching the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. He was active in the Boy Scouts for several years. Obituary Preview: William James Edwards, of Oconto, WI, formerly of Streator, IL, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 85 on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Bill was born on August 14, 1933 in Streator, IL to the late Henry and Ada Mozella (Potter) Edwards.  As he grew up, he worked at the Edwards Grocery Store in Long Point, IL, operated by his father.  Bill graduated from Long Point High School in 1953.  Later that same year, he joined the Army, where he served for two years and was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany.
On August 24, 1958, he married Norma Duncan in Long Point, IL.  They celebrated their 60th Anniversary this year.  The couple resided in the Streator IL area until his retirement from Owens Illinois Glass after 29 years, in 1994.  They then lived in Missouri, just south of Branson, for 12 years before moving to Oconto, WI in 2006.
Bill was a member of the Oconto United Methodist Church.  He was a life member of the American Legion and the VFW and a member of the AMVETS.  His military organization memberships were highly important to him and he remained very active until his illness no longer allowed.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings - sister Dorothy (Donald) Thies and brother Donald (Marcie) Edwards.  He is survived by his wife, Norma, their children, Jo (Laurel) Edwards of Oconto, WI and Mark (Terri) Edwards of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren - Megan, Nile, Kate and Luke; 7 nieces and 2 nephews.
A Memorial Service was held at the Oconto United Methodist Church, on Friday, September 28th at 6:00pm.
The Funeral Service will be held in Streator, IL at the Elias Funeral Home at 11am on Tuesday, October 2nd, following visitation from 9am till 11am.  Burial to follow at the Long Point Cemetery in Long Point, IL.
The family would like to thank the Unity Hospice staff for the care and services they provided, along with family, friends and organization members for their loving support.  Memorials may be made to the Oconto United Methodist Church in Bill’s name.
