Harriet L. Harrington-Bailey, 70, of London, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.
Born April 13, 1952, in Orange, Texas, she was a daughter of Calvin and Martha (Garner).
Harriet has worked as a quality control specialist for Staples. She was a member of the Bethesda Apostolic Church of Urbana where she was a Minister, previously active as a pastor's aide, a member of the choir years ago and served as an usher. In her spare time she enjoyed studying the Bible, doing crossword puzzles, and watching some of her favorite shows.
She is survived by children Bernadette Harrington, James C. Harrington, Jr., Mark Harrington, Gabriel (Elizabeth) Harrington, and Adonna Carr; grandchildren Corban and Carlos Napper; sisters-in-law Ilester Bailey, Phyllis Jackson, Vanessa Goldstein, and Patricia Gibson; many nieces and nephews.
Harriet is preceded in death by her parents, first husband James Harrington, Sr., second husband Gary Bailey, sisters Katherine Carr, Reva Henderson, and Belinda Carr.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Fountain of Truth Ministries, 135 Maple Street, London, with Bishop Gregory S. Irvin officiating. Interment will follow immediately follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Friends may call the church on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of services.

Franky had worked for Ranco in Plain City and then Orbis in Urbana, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Madison County Senior Center.
Survivors include her sons Larry (Lois) Tatman and J.R. Tatman all of Springfield; grandchildren Larry (Sharon) Tatman and Sara Tatman; great-granddaughter Jordan Tatman; sister Eva Fraley of Mechanicsburg and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son Richard Lee “Red” Tatman, brothers Emory, Roy and Charles Tatman, sisters Mary Louck and Martha McHenry.

Chere Lynn Scurry, 63, of London, died Friday, April 15, 2022, in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born March 11, 1959, in Columbus, she was a daughter of Charles “Mousie” and Joyce (Bass) Payne.
Chere worked for the Bureau of Criminal Investigation for 30 years, retiring in 2007. She was also a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Springfield and former member of First Baptist Church in London where she served as a nursery worker and Sunday school teacher.
She enjoyed crafting and watching Hallmark movies, the Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Most of her evenings and weekends were dedicated to being a good “NaNa” to her granddaughter, Meila, where they created countless memories.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Ralph Scurry; daughter Ashli Scurry, granddaughter Meila Wilson, daughter Alethea Lamberson; mother Joyce Payne, sister Teresa (Curtis) Brooks, nieces and nephews Brandi Cain, Angelique Payne, Natalie Brooks, Grant Brooks and Randy Scurry; great-niece and nephew Ariana Arrington and Jayvion Stevens; aunts, Dollene Scott, Yvonne Jamison and Sandra Foster and numerous cousins. She is also remembered by a host of friends from BCI and her caring neighbors, and will be especially missed by her beloved companion, Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother Chris Payne.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the First Baptist Church of London, 250 Toland Street, London with Pastors Ernest C. Brown, Sr. and Damion A. Sneed officiating. Interment will follow in Deercreek Township Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at the church from 4-7 PM Friday.

Donald was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and later worked at Madison Correctional until his retirement. A lifelong farmer, Donald loved his International Harvester Tractors and belonged to Ohio Chapter 6 and National IH Collectors Club and the Miami Valley Steam Threshers Association.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Linda (Vallery) Seaburn; daughters Vallery Anne (Chris) Ritz and Karen Lyn (Chris) Clifton; grandchildren Collin (Meghan Dyer) Clifton and Kennedy Clifton; great-grandchildren Marley, Carliah, and Casey; siblings Russell (Carol) Seaburn, Mary Quinn and Steve (Donna) Seaburn; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in law Gayle Johnston and Janice “Ruby” Seaburn; Rita Vallery, Norma (Donald) Hux, Carolyn (Tony) Perone, Carl (Sharon) Vallery, John (Candy) Vallery and Marion (Debbie) Vallery.

Mary Evelyn Andrix, 99, of London, died Monday, April 4, 2022, in the Madison Senior Living Community, London.
Born December 23, 1922, in Lilly Chapel, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Lydia (Bennett) Forrest.
A US Navy Veteran of World War II, Mary had also worked at Lazarus, selling sewing machines and giving sewing lessons. A lifetime member of Trinity United Methodist Church, she also belonged to the Coover Club, Madison County Senior Citizens, was an avid card player-always ready for a game, enjoyed her bridge clubs and spending time with friends especially going to breakfast. An accomplished artist, Mary loved to paint, giving away most of her work to friends and to charity fundraisers and loved The Ohio State University Sports program.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law John and Cilia Andrix; brother James Forrest, sister-in-law Patty Forrest; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, very special friends Jane Forrest and Carolyn Gibson and wonderful caregivers Lynn McHenry and Linda Adelsberger.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Andrix in 2003 and brothers Bennett, Donald and Bob Forrest.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 8, 2022, in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 N. Main Street, London with Pastor Tim Rash officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, London. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-6 PM Thursday.

Michael William Cala, 42, originally from Chicago, IL, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 31, 2022, in London, OH.
Michael was born December 13, 1979; the youngest of 3 children born to Walter R. and Linda L. (Golembiewski) Cala.  Michael was preceded in death by his father and his older sister, Michelle Cala.
He is survived by his mother, Linda; his daughter, Madison; his brother Richard; and his fiancée, Heather West and her son Joseph.
Michael was truly loved unconditionally by his family.  His sudden absence in all our lives has been devastating, and will be felt for many years to come.  His infectious laugh, carefree attitude, and innocent grin will be missed by everyone who ever knew him.
Michael shared a love of life and a passion for new experiences.  He recently chose a new career as a commercial OTR driver where he enjoyed meeting new people and traveling across the country.
Until we meet again…Rest easy.

Barbara A. Cligrow passed away peacefully on March 24, 2022, following an extended illness.
She was born in Springfield, OH, on February 19, 1935, a daughter of William B. Bierbaugh and Thelma (Jones) Bierbaugh.
The family moved to London in 1937, where she resided the rest of her life. Barbara was a 1953 graduate of London High School where she served as a drum majorette. She was devoted to her family and was a loving mother, grandmother, and aunt. Barbara loved to sing and was a 67-year member of the First United Methodist Church sanctuary choir. During her lifetime, Barbara was active in many London community plays and choirs. After retiring from the Madison County Department of Jobs and Family Services, she learned to play a dulcimer and performed with area dulcimer groups. Barbara enjoyed traveling, history and was an avid reader. She was an active member of her church, the Twentieth Century Club, London Public Library and the Madison County Museum.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth (Gary) Pearman; son, Doug Cligrow; grandson, Nolan Cligrow and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas H. Cligrow, brother William G. Bierbaugh and sister Beverly Dhume.
Honoring her request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, April 1, 2022, in Kirkwood Cemetery.

A US Marine Corps veteran, Tom had worked for Westinghouse.  Later he worked as a truck driver, sign installer, private investigator and most recently in security at Restoration Hardware. He also was an avid baseball fan, coaching little league baseball for many years with the LABC and Plain City baseball leagues.
Survivors include his wife Sonya (Allen) Cox; son Tom (Valerie) Cox; grandson Alex (Jessica) Cox; brother Roger Cox, sister Virginia (Sid) Edwards, sister-in-law Linda Cox; many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and step-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Butch Cox and sister-in-law Rose Cox.

Lonnie was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked more than 40 years for Dial, Purex, and the former Church and Dwight Plant in London.
Lonnie had also worked for the Madison County Veterans Administration, and was a lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion, and AMVETS.
Survivors include his sons Michael Kenneth LeMaster and Chad Martin (Michelle) LeMaster; grandchildren Abbigail, Bryant, Kambree, Colton, and Marissah LeMaster; brother Alan LeMaster; sisters Barb (Ronnie) Speakman, Kim LeMaster, and Terry Jones; sister-in-law Betty LeMaster; brother-in-law Rick Redman; several nieces and nephews.
Lonnie is once again reunited with his beloved wife of over 40 years Sharon Ann (Bryant) LeMaster, deceased December 7, 2021. He is also preceded in death by his parents, brothers Clyde, Melvin, and Donald LeMaster, and sister Sue Redman.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Gertrud Longnecker, “Trude,” 94, of London and formerly of Loudonville and Marietta/Newport, Ohio, left our world Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at London Health and Rehab. “Mom” to her children and many of their friends, “Oma” to her grandchildren and many of their friends.
An avid gardener, she could grow anything from a seed or cutting and her home was always surrounded by plants. She called it her own little Eden. She loved animals and always had a pet or two. She took great joy in simple things; a pretty stone or shell, the sunrise, bird songs, spending time with children and collecting nutcrackers. She was creative and her imagination was boundless. She loved to sew, quilt, paint and craft. She enjoyed giving. Anyone that stopped by might get cake and coffee or a plant. She gave candy bars to the mail carrier and drivers of the trash truck.
She was born December 15, 1927, in Bad Soden Am Taunus, Germany where she met and married Clifford Longnecker while he was stationed in nearby Frankfurt during the Korean war. They moved to the USA in 1952 to raise their family. In 1973 she became a naturalized US Citizen and was very proud of this accomplishment.
Proceeded in death by grandson Steven Plice, her parents, her sister and brother, and Cliff Longnecker.
Survivors include her children, Kenneth (Julie) Longnecker, Kathy (David McAtee) Longnecker, Kim (Paul) Swider, Kelly Longnecker, 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews in the US, Germany and Italy.
She loved a good a party; her family will celebrate her life, June 5th.  There will be lots of stories told and memories shared. We will show how she lives on through each of us.

Born April 23, 1942, in Toronto, Ohio, he was the son of Joseph “Ernie” and Jean Elizabeth (Armstrong) Skeeles. Fred founded Skeeles Manufacturing Inc. in Columbus in 1991 and ran it until selling the company in 2020. A self-made successful businessman, Fred was known for his friendliness, quick wit, classic one-liners, love of life, and hard work ethic, but his family always came first. He was active in the Arabian Horse Community, currently serving as the president of the Buckeye Arabian and Half Arabian Association (BAHAA). He loved following the Ohio State Buckeyes and the stock market!
Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years Lois (Button) Skeeles; cherished children Rebecca, Amy, and Jonathan Skeeles; he was the perfect Papa to his adored granddaughter Ava Margaret Skeeles; siblings Tom (Linda) Skeeles, Margaret Pendergast, Nancy Taggart, Cynthia (Bill) Henry and Laura (Dr. Liberato) Chapa; many loving nieces, nephews and close friends; sister-in-law Rebecca Hersko; and brother-in-law Dr. Robert (Zonia) Button.
The family extends gratitude and appreciation to their friends, family, and their Arabian Horse family for their continued love and support.
A graveside service will be held at 1 PM Thursday, March 10, 2022, in Deercreek Township Cemetery, 1255 US-40, London (Lafayette), Ohio. The family invites friends and family to the Skeeles farm immediately following the service for a Celebration of Life gathering.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father and sisters, Barbara Sadler, Sally Harkins, Violet Brown and Kathy Lipari.
