Larry "Liquid" "Legend" A. Burghduff - December 23, 1975 - April 09, 2022

Departed: 04/09/2022 (Marion)
Obituary Preview: Larry “Liquid” “Legend” A. Burghduff, age 46 of the Town of Pella, Shawano County passed away Saturday April 9, 2022 at the ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.
Larry was born on December 23, 1975 in Shawano. He grew up in the Pella area where he was confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and later graduated from Marion High School in 1995. Larry worked for Aarrowcast in Shawano out of high school and was currently employed at Glover Metal Buildings based out of Kingston, WI.  As a young man his second home was the Jeff and Linda Cowden farm. Although he was their nephew, Jeff and Linda treated him as their own son and the Cowden boys became his brothers. Larry was united in marriage to Tracey Skalla on September 8, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Caroline. The couple shared a unique bond; perhaps one that stemmed from their wedding day when the minister called them by the wrong names the entire day. That was Larry though, he never let things bother him. He always took time to help; whether building something or helping a friend or neighbor on the farm. So much so that he often left his “honey do” list from Tracey unfinished.  For the past 7 years or so, Larry was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church near Big Falls. Larry’s daughters were everything to him. Whether he was coaching their softball games or taking them hunting, Larry always looked forward to quality father/daughter time. His sense of humor was non-stop around his buddies and really shined when he was with Tracey and the girls.
Survivors include: His loving wife: Tracey. Daughters: Aurora & Quinn Burghduff. Mother: Janice Willman. Mother-in-law Karen Crown. Father-in-law: Dennis (Susan) Skalla. Sister: Barbara Willman. Brother: Kevin (Angelia) Willman, Jr. Brother-in-law: Steven (Karyn) Skalla. Nephews: Benjamin, Weston, and Owen. His 2nd family: Linda Cowden and her sons Jeffrey, James (Chrystal), and Joseph (Fiance Alivia) Cowden.
Larry was preceded in death by his father Kevin Willman, Sr., maternal grandparents Allan and Karen Zalewski, his uncle and father Jeff Cowden, and his “bonus father-in-law” Terry Crown.
Larry always told his family that when he passed away he wanted to have one last beer with his friends so please join them in celebrating his life at Northwinds Banquet Hall in Marion on Friday April 22, 2022 from 4-8pm. Pastor Kay Knight will begin the evening with a prayer at 4pm. Larry was not a flower guy but in lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established by his family. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory of Marion is assisting his family.

Audrey A. Nolan - January 26, 1932 - September 25, 2020

Departed: 09/25/2020 (Marion)
Obituary Preview: Audrey Ann Nolan (Kell) departed on September 25, 2020, at home, surrounded by the immense love of her family. She was born on January 26, 1932, in Wausau, Wisconsin. Her parents, Elmer and Mildred Kell, owned the Marathon Store. Audrey recounted memories of her father pouring beer from the tap, retrieving blocks of ice from the icehouse, and keeping his neighbors fed during the Great Depression by providing them with free groceries and supplies. She also remarked that her fear of mice came from the grain bags at the store where they ran up her leg as a child. When asked about her favorite memory, Audrey said it was time spent with her father with whom she shared a birthday. Audrey graduated from Wausau East High School and was completing a degree in cosmetology when she met the love of her life, James ‘Jim’ Nolan.
Audrey and Jim were married on April 19, 1951. The two settled in Marion, Wisconsin, and began their life and legacy together. Jim established his livestock and real estate business, in which she was licensed as a real estate broker. Audrey’s focus though was not on his business; but rather on the family they created, which was the absolute highlight of her entire life. After their marriage, she had six children, 11 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren . She was the matriarch of a family of 34 and she loved each and every one very deeply. Her nickname from the grandchildren was “Ma,” with Jim even following suit and adopting the moniker.
Audrey was cultured and worldly. She loved to travel and visited six continents. She traveled with Jim, her children, grandchildren, and even her great-granddaughter. From the remote wilderness of Wyoming to the streets of Moscow to a beach in the Caribbean, Audrey had an adventurous spirit and always wanted new experiences. Some of her most treasured trips were the mother-daughter trips.
She was community oriented. She devoted much time to volunteer projects such as Meals on Wheels, Boy Scouts of America, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she started a church library.
Audrey was a fierce bridge player. She was part of a bridge club for half a century and treasured the friendship she found in "the bridgers”. This brought her so much joy and gave her a lot to look forward to. She felt that bridge kept her mind sharp, and it did.
Audrey was a non-judgemental person; she accepted all people and their diversity. Although she always had her own opinion, she was a great listener and gave wise advice. Thousands of hours were spent on the phone with her or conversing in her living room. Whenever anyone in the family had a problem, they would call “Ma” and she would talk them through it.
The most remarkable attribute about Audrey was the phenomenal grandmother she was. The traditions, financial and emotional support, and memories are countless. She always had unlimited energy, hours of quality time, and appreciation for her family. Even during her last hours on earth she did not want to miss a minute with her loved ones. She carried enthusiasm and zeal to grand motherhood for over 40 years. And she was blessed to be able to touch the lives of her great-grandchildren.
Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Nolan, her mother and father, Elmer and Mildred Kell, and her brother, Joseph Kell.  She is survived by her six children, Tim (Debra) Nolan, Kathleen Nolan (Ralph Foerster), Tom ‘T.J.’ (Sandra) Nolan, Constant Nolan, Gerald ‘Sonny’(Kari) Nolan, Jane (Richard) Siebert, 11 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Hugo Mielke - October 25, 1955 - April 07, 2020

Departed: 04/07/2020 (Marion)
Obituary Preview: Hugo Dean Mielke, Jr., a Dupont Cheese salesman, life-long farmer and resident of the Marion WI area, passed away as the result of an unexpected medical emergency on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at the age of 64 at St Mary’s Hospital in Green Bay.
Hugo was born in Clintonville WI on October 25th, 1955 to Hugo and Meta Mielke.  He graduated from Marion High School and was a passionate farmer and livestock vitamin salesperson for many years. He then managed Prime Time Bar and Grill in Marion where his story and joke telling was in its prime.  Most recently Hugo was an unforgettable salesman for Dupont Cheese since 2007.
Although his given name was Hugo, many friends called him Otto, and his family affectionately knew him as Junior.  Junior was an amazing goodwill ambassador for the Marion community. His heart and personality was as big as his sense of humor. Junior was a devoted uncle and a favorite to so many of his nieces and nephews, whose lives he touched in so many ways. Whether you had the opportunity to meet him during his farming days, a visit to Prime Time, or were lucky enough to meet him during a cheese demo, we are sure he had a lasting impression on you. Maybe you knew Junior from the poker or sheepshead tables, ball diamonds, bowling alley, dart ball, or enjoyed a game of "Guts-Frisbee" with him back in the day.  No doubt your interaction with him was entertaining and left you smiling. That is the kind of guy who Junior was.
Junior was a spiritual man and had a personal relationship with Jesus. Please help us carry on Hugo's memory by paying forward his big heart, goodwill, and most of all his great stories and jokes. I know we speak for all who knew him when we say thank you Junior for having such a positive impact in so many people's lives.  You will sincerely be missed.
Hugo is survived by brothers Kenneth, Dennis and Donald Mielke, and sister Karen (Mielke) Moderson (brother-in-law is Mark Moderson), as well as many dear nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, coworkers and cheese lovers everywhere. Hugo was preceeded in death by his father, Hugo Mielke Sr. and Mother, Meta (Watters) Mielke, 2 siblings in infancy; Danny Lee and Carol, as well as his sister-in-law, Shirley (Patri) Mielke.
There will be a vehicle procession to honor Hugo on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Immediate family will gather at Dupont Cheese at 1:00pm.  At 1:30, a procession will begin, consisting of the hearse, a Dupont Cheese vehicle and family members' vehicles.  The procession will drive to Marion via Hwy 110.  Extended family members and friends are encouraged to line Main Street in Marion and pay their respects as the procession passes.  The procession will drive to Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home in Marion.  At 2:00pm, a small memorial service will be conducted in the funeral home parking lot (reserved for immediate family).  However, friends and other family members may park in the area to listen to a live radio broadcast of the service, officiated by Pastor Karen Riemer,  by tuning to 88.3 FM on the car radio.  The broadcast unit was tested and reception is good at Northwinds Banquet Hall, as well as the track parking lot on Mavis Road. A community gathering to celebrate Hugo’s life is also being planned for a later date.
