Obituary Preview: Monica S. "Malone" Russell, 64, of Bicknell passed away at her home March 9, 2024 with her family at her bedside. Monica was born May 23, 1959 in Vincennes, the daughter of Joe Edd and Anita Kuhn Malone. She was a 1977 graduate of North Knox High School, a lifelong member of Bethel Church in Freelandville, IN and attained an AS degree in business. She began her career as a Daycare Provider taking care of little one's for over 35 years touching many of their lives. She married Ernest "Ernie" Russell on June 11, 1978 and they made their life together for almost 46 years. As a member of Bethel Church, she served on the church council, Sunday school superintendent, and various church functions. She enjoyed wrestling, Marvel movies, NASCAR, horses, SHOPPING and being with her family and grandchildren.
Monica is survived by her husband, Ernie Russell, their son's, Randall (Dixie) Russell and Rhett Russell both of Terre Haute, IN. Her beloved granddaughters, Jayden Russell, Sophia Russell and Adalyn Russell. She is also survived by her parents, Joe and Anita Malone, her brothers Matt (Candy) Malone of Bicknell, IN, Mike Malone and Daryn Mendenhall of Evansville, IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Margie was born May 13, 1929 in Loogootee, IN, the daughter of Goodlet and Edith Berkshire Burton. She was a graduate of Edwardsport High School and on July 16, 1951 she married Donald H. Phillips and they made their life together for 71 years until his death on July 27 2022. She attended Bicknell United Methodist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Margie is survived by daughter, Louann Roark and her husband, Larry of Wheatland, IN, her grandchildren, Jason (Janel) Phillips, Jonathan (Megan) Roark, Andy (Britni) Roark and Daniel (Jessica) Roark, their great grandchildren, Kyson Phillips, Dreyton Phillips, Kaleb Roark, Kalyn Roark, Avery Roark, Mason Roark, Layne Roark, and Corbin Roark and a great-great grandchild, Skylar Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Phillips, a son, Donald B. Phillips, her parents, Goodlet and Edith Burton, a brother Walter Burton and a sister Flora Mae Yagle.
Funeral services will be celebrated Monday February 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Jarred Chattin officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Asbury Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Jason was born March 8, 1974 in Vincennes the son of Paul S. and Gwendolyn F Roll McCullough. He was a graduate of North Knox High School and received a degree in Information Technology. His devotion to his Lord and Savior led his involvement in various social ministries in Bicknell and Vincennes he was also a member of Jedburgh Baptist Church in Jedburgh, Scotland. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, he married Wendy Sue Colpetzer on April 27, 1998, and they made their life together for nearly 26 years. He was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. His greatest pleasure was his faith in God and his family.
Jason is survived by his wife, Wendy McCullough, his son’s Alex and Matthew D. McCullough at home, his parents, Paul S. and Gwendolyn McCullough of Bicknell, IN, his sisters, Jennie Garlick of Bicknell, IN, Rachel Tikell, and her husband Bobby of McKinney, TX and Rebecca Fuller, and her husband Juan of Monroe City, IN. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff of Heart to Heart Hospice out of Jasper, IN for their kindness and exceptional care of Jason.
Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday January 31, 2024 at 1:00PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel. His son Alex McCullough will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to the time of service. He will be laid to rest in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery with gravesite Military Honors provided by the All Weather Firing Squad. Obituary Preview: Brenda Leigh Flickinger, 75, passed away in her home January 24, 2024. Brenda was born February 22, 1948, in Bicknell, IN the daughter and youngest of five children of John Lyle and Rachel Juanita Harris Chambers. She was a 1966graduate of North Knox High School and began her career as a secretary. She worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance for over 40 years, retiring as a supervisor for the company. On September 6, 1968, she married Jon G. Flickinger, and they made their life together until his death on February 23, 2021. She served the city of Bicknell as Clerk Treasurer and worked with her husband Jon while he served as Mayor of Bicknell. Brenda was a member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church and was a faithful participant with the Chicks of 66. Brenda loved to sing and was a member of both the Bicknell United Methodist Church choir and the gospel group, Voices of Victory. She loved animals and shared her home with many who were in need of rescue. Her family was near and dear to her heart, and she enjoyed reading and helping her husband Jon in various business ventures.
Brenda is survived by a brother, M. Thomas (Patricia) Chambers of Martinsville, IN. and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to acknowledge Good Samaritan Hospice for their excellent care, also Kelly Lunsford for her care and devotion the past 3 years. Two special Chicks who were constant visitors and held her hand during her passing, Marianne Reel and Ruth Boulet.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday February 13, 2024, at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Funeral Home in Bicknell at 2:00 PM with Pastor John Moreland officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Jon in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of services. Debbie is survived by children, Chris Tiek of Bicknell, IN, Dale Tiek, and his wife Jane of Oaktown, IN and Vicki Echele, and her husband Denis of Ellisville, MO. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Collin Tiek, and his wife Amy, Andrew Echele and his wife, Erin and Adam Echele and her great grandchildren, Brennen Tiek and Addie Mae Tiek.

She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Paul, in the Bethel Church Cemetery. Patty held memberships in Bethel Church, Neighborly Homemakers, 50 year member of the Eastern Star and a former member to Tri Kappa. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Patty is survived by her children, John W. Buescher, of Sandborn, IN and Charles R. Buescher, of Edwardsport, IN. Her grandchildren, Abby Nieb, and her husband Shawn, Eliza Jost, and her husband Brent, Christi Price and Jordan Buescher, and his wife Cassidy, She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, a brother Charles "Bill" Lett of Bicknell, IN and a sister, Nancy Williams of Lafayette, IN.

Obituary Preview: Larry E. Keene, 71, of Vincennes, passed away Sunday April 2, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital. Larry was born October 13, 1951 in Vincennes the son of Robert Max and Mary Catherine Malone Keene. Larry joined the U.S. Air Force having risen to the rank of TSgt as a master fuel supervisor, serving in Vietnam. After his service in Vietnam, he continued his career in the Air Force until he was disabled and retired after over 20 years of service. He was a proud Veteran and loved to joke and tease everyone he liked. Larry held memberships in the VFW, American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, The French Club and the 40 et 8.
Larry is survived by his remaining sibling, Roy Keene, and his wife Debbie of Ragsdale, IN and his many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, William Vernon “Vernie” Keene, sisters, Bertha Lagneau, Elma Lee Hollars, Minnie A. Phipps, Jean May, Kay McCrary, Susie Ellerman, Charlotte Smith, Phyllis Keene and Julie Shoptaw.

After high school, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. He began a career working as a Carman with CSX Railroad until his retirement. He married Beverly Cooper on April 5, 1975 and they made their life together for nearly 48 years. He was a member of the French Club, Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, Tin Can Sailors Organization of Sailors who served on Destroyers during their service to the country. He attended Bicknell United Methodist church with his wife.
Jim is survived by his wife, Beverly Brewer, their son’s James E. Brewer of Bicknell, IN, Jonathan Brewer, and his wife Holly of Vincennes and Joseph K. Brewer of Vincennes. His grandchildren, Jonathan Roscoe Brewer, Miranda Lynn Brewer, Ziva Hope Brewer and Azlynn Kate Brewer. His mother in law, Betty Cooper of Bicknell, IN.
Jim was preceded in death by a son, Joshua O. Brewer, his parents, a brother, Walter Brewer and a sister Doris Jean Chung. Helen was an active and proud member of the French Club and showed her faith in her everyday interactions with everybody she met.
Helen is survived by her sons, Johnny Jones of Bicknell and Paul Jones, and his wife Jennifer also of Bicknell, IN. her grandchildren, Cole Jones, Kale Jones, Reagan Jones, Korbin Jones and Cambrie Jones. She is also survived by a brother, Frank Carpenter of Vincennes, IN, a sister in law, Doris Carpenter of Bicknell, IN and several nieces and nephews. He married April West and through all the adversity Derek faced, they practiced their faith in God daily. Derek attended Wheatland Calvary Baptist Church and was a devoted husband, father, son and brother. He enjoyed going to church with his daughter, playing outdoors with her, watching her dance and any activities she was involved with. She was the light in his world.
Derek is survived by his wife, April Bement, their daughter, Harlee Rose Bement, his mother, Linda Bement of Bicknell, IN, a sister, Dana Adams and her husband Bob of Washington, IN, a niece, Rylee Adams and a nephew, Alton Ennis. He is also survived by his sister and brother in law, Randy and Cassie Ennis who he thought of as his sister and brother.
His father, Bruce Bement, a brother in law, Derek West preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Saturday January 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Wampler Shaw Chapel with Pastor Gene Rasner officiating. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, his family and his Newfoundland dog, Marduk.
Robert is survived by his wife, Tiffany Horton, daughters, Julia Horton of Taylorville, IL, Savannah Horton of Wheatland, IN and Leo Sulinas and her husband Jay of New Port News, VA. Grandchildren, Luca Horton, Grayson Horton and Leona Horton. He is also survived by his father, Owen Horton and his wife Janice of Wheatland, IN and his mother, Pamela Palagi and her husband Jeff of Monroe City, IN. also a brother Mark Horton of Wheatland, IN and a sister Amanda Horton Siewers and her husband Jerod of Wheatland, IN. His nieces, Avagail Horton, Layla Siewers, Madeline Siewers, nephews Isaac Horton and Blake Salter. His true passion was music. He loved volunteering at WRAY for the Saturday Country Gold Show. He enjoyed camping, his Dallas Cowboys, Indianapolis Colts and the Atlanta Braves. He spoiled his two cats, Kallie and Karrie. He married Beth Ann Siscel on October 7, 1989 and they made their life together for nearly 33 years.
He is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Furman of Bicknell, IN, his mother, Annie Furman of Canton, GA, a brother, Christopher George Furman of Canton, GA. He especially loved his nieces, Jessica (Furman) Willis, Grayson Furman, Jessica Siscel, Anna (Siscel) Cattuzzo, Emily Siscel, Kaylyn Swartz and Ashlyn Swartz and a very special nephew, Michael Siscel. He is also survived by his father in law, James R. Siscel and his wife Patricia of Bicknell, IN.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald G. Furman and his mother in law, Shirley A. Siscel.

Sue is survived by her children, a son Randy Tincher and his wife Gail of Bicknell and a daughter Misty Petro of Edwardsport, IN. She was blessed by her granddaughters, Haley & Riley Petro. She is also survived by a brother, William Donaldson of Patoka, IN.

Don was born July 20, 1929 in Vincennes, IN the son of Roy and Myrtle Nightingale Phillips. He was a graduate of Bruceville High School and worked various jobs. Don served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a supervisor for Asplundh tree service and worked as a supervisor at Septer Industries in Bicknell. He married Margie Jean Burton on July 16, 1951 and they made their life together for 71 years. He was a Christian who lived his faith in his daily life in the interaction he had with everyone he met. He was a proud husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Don is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margie Jean Phillips, their daughter, Louann Roark, and her husband Larry of Wheatland, IN, their grandsons, Jason (Janel) Phillips, Jonathan (Megan) Roark, Andy (Britni) Roark and Daniel (Jessica) Roark, their great grandchildren, Kyson Phillips, Dreyton Phillips, Kaleb Roark, Kalyn Roark, Avery Roark, Mason Roark, Corbin Roark and Layne Roark. She attended Salem United Church of Christ, held memberships in the VFW Auxiliary, French Club Auxiliary, she was active in the Girl Scouts for over 35 years starting as a girl scout then becoming a girl scout leader. She was a formal member of the International Bingo Club, going to many bingo games all over the Midwest. She married Arthur Wayne Pahmeier on April 20, 1985 and they made their life together for over 37 years.
Diane is survived by her husband, Arthur Wayne Pahmeier, their children, Amanda Pahmeier of New Albany, IN and William C. Pahmeier, and his wife Michele of Westphalia, IN. grandchildren, Ethan Hedges and Logan Hedges. Her brothers and sisters, Robert Getchell of Oaktown, IN, Ralph Getchell, and his wife Debbie of Edwardsport, IN, Jeanne Mathews-Hoffman, and her husband Dewayne of Indianapolis, IN and Janet Deuber, and her husband Mike of Palmyra, IN. She worked as a registered nurse having retired from Daviess Community Hospital, Washington, IN. She married Elbert A. Shaw on July 3, 1954 and they made their life together for 54 years until his death in 2009. She was a member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, a founding member of the Red Hat Society, Eastern Star where she served as Past Grand Deputy, Rosalie was active in planning various events to benefit the North Knox area. She loved being involved in Bubbles and Barboo Balloons, active in attending activities where her children were involved in. Rosalie and her husband Elbert were active in the ownership and operation of Wampler Shaw Funeral Home for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved a good prank. Her love of life showed in everything she was involved in.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Thomas Shaw, and his wife Sarah of Herrin, IL and Deborah “Debbie” Hentz, and her husband Charles of Indianapolis, IN. Her grandchildren, Adam Clark and his wife Jenni, Alexandra Ottman and her husband Kenneth, Abraham Hentz and his wife Kiersten, Quentin Shaw and Issac Shaw. She is also blessed with her great grandchildren, Carter Clark, Harrison Clark, Charlotte Ottman and Mila Hentz. She is also survived by a sister, Marie Pierson of Norman, OK, her best friend forever, Barbara Privett of Bicknell, IN and several nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his step children, Mike Arnett, and his wife Susan of Vincennes, IN, and Teresa Frederick of Bicknell, IN. Several step grandchildren and great grandchildren and a step brother, Leon Roberts of Merom, IN also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Price and his parents, his step daughters, Debbie Trujillo and Paula Eaton.
