He was a member of Outdoor Life Lodge, Fawn Township, and a social member of the Russellton American Legion. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Cheryl (Templeton) Carney; father, Robert; mother, Mildred; and sister, Carol (Carney) Murray. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Conn, of Tarentum; son, Brian Carney (Amy Bloch Carney), of Natrona Heights; grandsons, Joshua (Karlie George), of New Kensington, and Jacob Carney, of Natrona Heights; great-grandsons, Julian and Cameron Carney; brother, Robert (Charlotte) Carney, of Florida; and sister, Rebecca Kostie, of Freeport. Tom's wishes were that there be no memorial service.
