Obituary Preview: Linda L. Baer, 79, of Convoy, passed away at 11:01 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2022 at The James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio.
She was born on September 2, 1942, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Harold David  and Cecille Jeanette (Foley) Allison. On October 23, 1965, she married Charles E. Baer who survives in Convoy.
Other family survivors include her son, Troy Baer of Dublin; two brothers, Robert W. (Kay) Allison of Chesapeake Bay, Virginia and Paul D. Allison of Clear Lake, Indiana; two sisters Beverly K. Allison of Convoy and Betty Jo (Malcolm) Banta of Englewood, Florida.
Linda was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Beckie Allison.
Linda had worked at Central Mutual Insurance Company, then worked at the Convoy Bank downtown for 15 years. She retired from Crestview High School as the high school secretary after 15 years. Linda was active member of Convoy United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and sang in the church choir. She was also a member of the Convoy Community Foundation and the Psi Iota Xi Sorority.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Convoy United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Convoy I. O. O. F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 3 - 7 p.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert and one hour ahead of services at the church on Saturday.
Preferred memorials are to Convoy United Methodist Church, or the American Cancer Society.

Obituary Preview: Julie Ann Rupert, 74 of Van Wert died at 1:30 p.m. on April 5, 2022 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center in Foley Alabama.
Julie was born on September 11, 1947 in Lima, Ohio. The daughter of the late Arthur B. Droll and Ruth (Agner) Droll. She married Thomas J. Rupert on August 23, 1986 and he survives of Van Wert.
Family survivors include her three daughters; Ruth Ann (Bruce) Dowler of Convoy, Laura (Chris) Landrigan of Ft. Wayne, IN and Kelly (Todd) Roth of Ft. Wayne, IN; one son, Matt (Kandi) Rupert of Wake Forrest, NC; her sister, Marcia Smith of Van Wert; twelve grandchildren, Grace Dowler, Sydney Dowler, Hayden Dowler, Mary (Evan) Thomas, Andie Landrigan, Lizzie Landrigan, Kate Landrigan, Reagan Rupert, Maggie Rupert, Stella Kruse, Ruby Kruse, and Floy Roth; one great grandchild, Leo Thomas.
Julie was a 1965 graduate of Van Wert High School. She developed life long friends being a cheerleader and was crowned homecoming queen. She later participated in the Miss Western Ohio Pageant and was crowned a second time. Julie's life long career was nursing. She worked in private practice, was a surgical nurse for many years and rounded out a wonderful career as a Supervisor at Community Health Professional Home Care and Hospice. Julie was always full of life and making sure things were happening as they were supposed to. She enjoyed golfing with her husband Tom and all of their friends, gardening in the backyard and reading a good book. Julie loved spending the winters in Orange Beach, AL, but was always ready to come home to Ohio to be with family.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law; James D. Smith.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 14, 2022, at First Baptist Church, Van Wert with John Rager officiating. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana at a later date. Calling hours are 2:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert.
At the family request the preferred memorials to either First Baptist Church of Van Wert or the First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores, Alabama.

Martha "Jody" Vonderau - November 11, 1937 - April 03, 2022

Obituary Preview: Martha J. “Jody” Vonderau, 84, of Convoy passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 3, 2022, at her home surrounded by her children.
She was born on November 11, 1937, in Van Wert to Gail and Burnice (Murphy) Mohr who both preceded her in death. She married Donald C. Vondeau on January 11, 1959, and he also preceded her in death on December 10, 2021.
Jody retired from Aeroquip and she had also worked at Federal Mogul, Convoy Care Center in the kitchen, The Tavern as a cook, and Pete’s Grocery Store. She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart. She loved to cook and bake as well as canning and freezing in the summer. She liked playing Skip-Bo and going to the lake, but her true love and joy came from being a grandma to her grandsons - she would say they are perfect and could do no wrong.
Left behind to cherish Jody’s memory are her sons, Donald “Patrick” (Dorina) Vonderau of Fort Wayne and Chris Vonderau (Suzy Ruttan) of Convoy; her daughters, Kathy Vonderau of Van Wert and Lynnet (Michael) Braun of New Haven, Indiana; grandchildren Shane Robenalt of Van Wert and Taylor Robenalt of Van Wert; a sister, Patty (Lowell) Etzler of Greenwich, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Lorna Mohr of Ferndale, Michigan; and a brother-in-law, Lonnie “Butch” Vonderau of New Haven.
She was preceded in death by her brother, William S. “Bill” Mohr.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11 a.m., at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Bud Walls officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I. O. O. F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday. Following the interment a dinner will be held at Gibson’s B-B-Q in Convoy.

Family survivors include his children, Kenny (Beth) West of Bluffton, Indiana, Rebecca (Adam)  Missler of Convoy, Pamela (Kelly) Anthony of Van Wert, James West, Jr., of Lake City, Pennsylvania, Andrew (Bonnie) West of Latty, Matthew (Amy) West of Van Wert, and Anthony (Jennifer) West of Middle Point and Jodi (Dennis) Parsons; 22 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a sister, Jane West Miller McGill of Kokomo, Indiana.
Jim was preceded in death by a grandson, Timothy D. West; a sister Janis;  and a daughter-in-law, Debra Ann Hutchison West.
Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He had worked at Fruehauf Trailers in Delphos and Reilley Trucking in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was a member of Hope Lodge #214, F.& A.M., Delphos and the Scottish Rite Valley of Toledo.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Oliver officiating. Calling hours are 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. prior to the service on Friday. Military rites will be conducted by the combined honor guard of the American Legion and V.F.W. Posts of Van Wert.

He was born on May 10, 1957, in Lima, Ohio, the son of the late R. Doyle Maus and Bonnie M. (Rader) Maus. On February 3, 1979, he married the former Jane A. (Buettner) Maus who survives.
Other family members include his children, Jason R. (Lindsey) Maus of Belle Center, Ohio and Joseph (Elizabeth) Maus of Westerville, Ohio; four grandchildren, Hayden, Jackson, Anna and Max Maus; one brother, Jerry (Cindy) Maus of Harrod, Ohio.
Jeff was a 1975 graduate of Allen East High School. He attended Lima Technical College and graduated with Associates Degree in Computer Science. Jeff worked at Teleflex in Van Wert for 20+ years and then worked at US Plastic of Lima in their IT Department as a computer programmer for the last 3 years. He was an avid runner, loved to go fishing, and formerly served as the President of the Optimist Club. Most recently, he served as a US Track & Field Official at Ohio Northern University Track & Field meets where his son is the head coach. Jeff loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ridge Cemetery. Calling hours are 1-4 p.m., on Sunday at the funeral home and one hour ahead of services on Monday.
Preferred memorials are to the Van Wert County Foundation for concerts in the park.

Clarence was born on October 6, 1973 in Van Wert, Ohio. The son of the late Robert Barnett and Nancy Barnett who survives in Van Wert, Ohio.
Family survivors include his daughter Celsea(Chanse) Ebel; his one brother Paul Ray Thompson; nieces and nephews Jessica Leppard, Lance Thompson, Wesley Thompson, Robert (Britnie) Thomas and many others.
He was preceded in death by his two siblings, Carol Ann Leppard and Jay Dee Thompson; his great nephew Kaine Leppard.
Clarence worked at Statewide Ford- Lincoln in Van Wert, Ohio. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and working on his vehicles. His passions were hosting the best and biggest bon fires with his friends, as well as with his dogs, Bandit and Shiloh. He was loud and spoke his mind and that is why he was loved by so many. As Clarence once said "It isn't illegal unless you get caught".
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Bishop Larry Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Calling hours are noon - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

She was born on December 31, 1926, in Van Wert, Ohio, the daughter of the late Walter Lee and Vera B. (Walters) Leatherman. On December 25, 1947, she married Ralph Benjamin Snyder and he preceded her in death on October 25, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger L. Leatherman.
Family survivors include her brother-in-law, Glen D. (Janet) Snyder of Mooresville, NC; and a niece Kira (Leatherman) Bryant Gary of Ypsilanti, Michigan; two nephews, Kurt Leatherman of Van Wert and Pete Leatherman of Ann Arbor, Michigan; and numerous nephews and nieces on the Snyder side.
She was a registered Pharmacist as of August 1, 1950 and worked for several years at The Bridge Pharmacy in Gahanna, Ohio. She then assisted her husband in his Interior Design and Furniture business in Columbus on West Broad Street.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2022 at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Farmer officiating. Interment will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are 1 - 3 p.m prior to the service on Monday.

Besides his father, Jeff was preceded in death by a brother, Steven Charles Hall in 2020.
Jeff was a 1978 graduate of Van Wert High School and attended Wright State University. He had been a machinist at Eisenhower Manufacturing in Van Wert.

Obituary Preview: Matthew E. Nofer, age 46, of Van Wert, passed way unexpectedly on March 14, 2022.
He was born January 20, 1976, in Van Wert, the son of Thomas Nofer who survives in Van Wert and May Marjorie Nofer, who preceded him in death.  Matthew is survived by his daughter Savannah Nofer, of  Woodlands, Teaxs.  One brother, Chris Nofer of Van Wert and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Matthew was a 1994 graduate of Crestview High School and Vantage Vocational School.
Matthew enjoyed traveling and spending time with his daughter, who was the love of his life.  He was also a skilled craftsman, and especially had a love of farming.  Matt was very excited about his future in farming, which he considered to be a good life.  His warm smile and willing heart will be missed by all who knew him.
In honoring Matt’s wishes, no memorial service or funeral is planned.

Family survivors include his son, Rodney L. (Anita) Huse of Janesville, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Scott Huse, Brad Huse, Derrick Huse, Kristina Thomas, Jared (Courtney) Huse, Mandy (Preston) Proffitt and Matthew Huse; eleven great grandchildren; and a sister, Linda Guinn of New Castle.
Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Huse and two brothers, Paul and Robert Huse.
Floyd was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Marie Corps. He had worked at Republic Buildings (Stran, Varco Pruden) in Van Wert, then retired from Haviland Drainage Products. He had been a member of the Jennings Road Church of Christ.
Services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with calling one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, March 18, 2022, at South Mound Cemetery in New Castle, Indiana.
Preferred memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Sharleen was born on August 13, 1940, in Van Wert the daughter of the late Foster and Evaleen  (Courtney) Wiseman. Sharleen married her high school sweetheart Devon Bricker on Mrach 30, 1958, and together they shared 54 years of marriage until his passing on Feb. 11, 2013.
Family survivors include her four children, David Bricker of Van Wert, Lewis (Lisa) Bricker of Destin, Florida, Mark (Holly) Bricker of Brookville, Ohio, and Sydnee (Scott) Juneac of Huntsville, Alabama; eight grandchildren, Josh, Jennifer Bricker, Ashley Saam, Zac, Lee, Luke Bricker and Seth and Eric Juneac; seven great grandchildren, Kiara, Allison, Lindy, Abagail, Madison, Olivia and Charlette; and two great great grandchildren, Keeton and Kynslee.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sharleen was preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Wiseman; sister, Martha Jo Giessler; and a grandson-in-law, Jamie Saam.
Sharleen was a 1958 graduate of Van Wert High School and attended Wright State University. She was a retired businesswoman owning and operating Sharleen’s Hallmark in downtown Van Wert until 1992. She was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Business Association.
A Celebration of Sharleen’s Life will be held on August 13, 2022, 2 - 4 p.m. at the home of her son David at 8886 Van Wert-Willshire Road, Van Wert.

Family survivors include her children, Andrea Thomas Hein of Van Wert, Eric Thomas of Van Wert, Carla Bernhardt of South Carolina and Jesse Bernhardt of South Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, Tanner, Janet, Gavin, Kordane, Ericka, Hope, Bella, and Annamaire Thomas, Yvonne Buckley, Dravyn Lee, Jameson Smith, Kaylyn Smith, and Charolotte Bernhardt; a great grand daughter, Ava Thomas; siblings, Kevin Miller of Benson, Arizona, Keith (Berna) Fabian of Wilcox Arizona, Holly (Dave) Baird of Delphos, Ohio, and Edward Bennett (Amy Kline) of Van Wert; an aunt, Dorothy May of Van Wert; her special friend, Tony McAnally; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Eunice had worked at Cooper Foods. She was a loving, caring, hard-working person who adored her whole family.

Family survivors include her three children, Jim (Karen) Feasby of Convoy, Beverly (Richard) Mercer of Ohio City, and Steve (Joann) Feasby of Convoy; two brothers, Gary Walls of Mercer and Donald (Arlene) Walls of New Philadelphia, Ohio; two sisters, Shirley Roediger of Neptune and Carolyn Sue John of Van Wert; nine grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren.
Lois was preceded in death by a grandson, Jared Greg Feasby; a great grandson, Zachary Richard Feasby; three brothers, Gene, David and Dewane Walls; and three sisters, Dorothy Stoll, Eleanor Feasby and Alice Parnell.
Lois was a 1943 graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School. She was a long time member of Countryside Chapel United Methodist Church where she had taught Sunday School and was the arts and crafts teacher of the Vacation Bible School for many years. Lois had worked at Monroeville Equity, Stoneco Quarry, Sims Tractor Cab Company, in the offices of Dr. Kreischer and Dr. Black, and was custodian at Countryside Church. She was a member of the Japonica Garden Club, the Convoy Homemakers Club, the Lady Board of Managers at Van Wert Hospital, the Wassenberg Art Club, and the American Sewing Guild. She enjoyed all types of arts and crafts and patiently encouraged her family members and others to develop their artistic abilities.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Laura Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Convoy I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Calling hours are 10 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday.

(Anna Vibbert) Gurganus of Van Wert; a daughter, Tara (Robert Ainsworth) Gurganus of Van Wert; and six grandchildren, Maddix Bannister, Nevaeh Ainsworth, Arabella Ainsworth, Kinsley Stauffer, Helix Gurganus, and Brantley Ainsworth. Also surviving are a sister, Rachelle (Barry) Leppard of Wren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her death are her grandfather, Robert Stauffer, grandmother, Ana Stauffer and an uncle, Rick Stauffer.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Dave Wall officiating. There will be calling hours from 11:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday.

She was born on October 21, 1937, in Celina, Ohio the daughter of the late Kenneth Wade Clouse and Lou Esther (Felver) Clouse Manken. On April 8, 1956, she married Arnold D. Emerick who also preceded her in death on September 27, 2012.
Family members include her two daughters, Robin K. (Charles) McConn of Ohio City and Shelley D. (Ron) Erickson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; a grandson, Stephen (Crystal) Oechsle of Perrysburg, Ohio; and a great grand daughter, Kensley Virginia Oechsle.
Dixie was a 1955 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and a member of the Ohio City Community Church of God.
Private grave side services will be held at a later date.

Martha was preceded in death by her son, James L. McCray on January 7, 2022; a sister, Lucille J. Colson; and two brothers, Darrell L. Roberts and Russell Edward Roberts.
Martha was a 1940 graduate of Ohio City-Liberty High School and long time member of St. Marks Lutheran Church in Van Wert.
There will be grave side services at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery with Rev. William C. Haggis, II, officiating.

Lane of Van Wert; one daughter, Debra (John) Magowan of Hayward, WI; six grandchildren, Mimi (Chase) Tuttle of Killeen, TX, Trevor (fiancee Haley Green) Lane of Defiance, OH, Megan Lane of Van Wert, Josh Lane, Van Wert, Brooks (Loren) Walters of Fallbrook, CA, Lauren (Sam) Glavin of Madison, WI and a step-grandaughter Rachel Magowan of Mondovi, WI and three great grandchildren with one on the way; one brother, Gary Lane of Michigan.
James retired from the Dana Corporation after 30 and a half years of service and was a 1956 graduate of Van Wert High School. He was a past member of the Ohio City IOOF Club and served in the U. S. Army National Guard. James loved to go camping with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He enjoyed traveling, loved to bowl and play golf. He coached midget league, little league and pony league at the Van Wert YMCA for over 20 years, along with coaching basketball for 12 years.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, William Lane; one sister, Shirley M. Forwerck; his father/mother-in-law, Edwin & Lucille Hammons; brother/sister-in-laws, Ralph & Laura Hammons and Bill & Phyllis Culver.
No services are planned at this time. Interment will take place at Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

Family survivors include his two children, David (Shelly) Miller of Ohio City and Suzie (Lynn) Schlosser of Delphos; four grandchildren, Brandon (Stephanie Rosenbrock) Miller, Wyatt Saam (Trista Parson), Sonny Chorvas and Bella Chorvas.
He was preceded in death by his brother, William P. Miller; a sister, Mary E. Fuhrman; a sister-in-law, Wanda Miller; and a brother-in-law, Earl Fuhrman.
Earl worked at Federal Mogul for over 42 years in the maintenance department and retired in 2001. He served in the US Army and also farmed. Earl was very handy, especially in carpentry. He also enjoyed his pet cats and dogs.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Evangelical Protestant Cemetery, Harrison Township with military honors rendered by combined honor guard of the American Legion Post #178 and VFW Post #5803 of Van Wert. Calling hours are noon until time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth E. Owsley - May 15, 1919 - February 10, 2022

Obituary Preview: Elizabeth Evelyn Owsley, age 102, went home to heaven on February 10, 2022 at Heritage Health in Carlinville, Illinois.  She was born on May 15, 1919 on their farm in York Township, Van Wert County, Ohio.  She was a breech baby delivered by her father before the doctor arrived.
Her early education was at York School in Jonestown, Ohio where she graduated from high school.  She attended the former Karr Business College in Van Wert.  While in Van Wert she worked several retail jobs as well as at the former Borden Cheese Factory and did secretarial work at the Van Wert County Extension office.  Her secretarial skills helped her work her way through college. She received her undergraduate  degree from Taylor University. She attended New York Biblical for one year.  In 1946 she transferred to Asbury Theological Seminary where she completed her masters degree in religious education.  While at Asbury she met a fellow student, Clarence Torrie Owsley, Jr. from Alamosa, Colorado.  They united in marriage on June 28, 1947.  After their marriage they pastored 4 churches in Mercer County, Ohio.
Their first posting as missionaries was to Port au Prince, Haiti from 1950-51.  Their first son Philip was born in Haiti.  While she was in the hospital giving birth, Clarence got his Jeep stolen out from under him and made his way back to the city where his wife and baby were in the hospital.
In 1952 they began their work in Brazil under the Oriental Missionary Society (now renamed One Mission Society), where they were pioneer missionaries. While serving under OMS they lived in Maringa, Campinas, Londrina, and Sao Paulo, Brazil where their second son Paul was born. In the States they  lived in , Van Wert, OH, Wichita, KS, and Wilmore, KY.
Under the Free Methodist Mission they lived in Winona Lake, IN where the their 3rd son Lewis Daniel was born.They served in Sao Paulo, Brazil at the Mirandopolis, Vila Morais, and Vila Galvao Churches, as well as the cities of Neves Paulista and Mairipora.  In the States they served a Free Methodist pastorate in Arcola, IL (1980-83).
After retirement in 1986 they served the Hillsdale Free Methodist Church in Hillsdale, MI as ministers of visitation. They also served in Brazil as short term missionaries.
After their re-retirement they volunteered at the Van Wert County Pregnancy Life Center and hosted a weekly prayer and Bible study.  They also translated letters for a Brazilian Children's home.
Clarence entered heaven in Dec. of 2011.  Elizabeth carried on alone and even into her 90s gave morning devotionals to nursing home patients and occasionally sitting with the dying.  She filled in for the chaplain when needed.  Elizabeth was an expert cook and hosted many guests for meals or overnight in Brazil and the States.
Elizabeth is survived by 3 sons : Philip (Chris) Owsley of New Berlin, Wisconsin, Paul (Marsha) Owsley of Chesterfield, Illinois, and Dan (Hope) Owsley, of Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil, South America; and her remaining brother Fred (Judy) Good of Charlotte, MI and a sister-in-law Marilyn Owsley of Alamosa, CO.
She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Mary Beth (Ben) Kessler, Laura (Joe) Tregellas, Polly (Mike) Wallis, Peter (Becky) Owsley, Jessamy (Dominic) Matarelli, Clark Owsley, Steven Owsley, David Owsley, Nathan (Megan) Owsley, and Andrew Owsley. Elizabeth is survived by 15 great grandchildren: Delphina and Paxton Kessler, Tye and Eliza Tregellas, Brendon and Kyle Wallis, Haley, Andy, and Owen Owsley, Samuel, Benjamin, Georgia, Vanessa, Teddy, and Leo Matarelli. She was also loved by numerous nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents: Lewis and Dora Good,  her brothers: Byron H. Good (Helen), Paul L. Good (Alice), Don Good (Jane), and her husband Clarence T. Owsley, Jr.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert with Pastor Ward Sussenbach officiating. Interment will be in Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are 9 - 11 a.m, Saturday at the funeral home.

She attended Van Wert High School and had worked at Teleflex for a number of years. Kris was very artistic and made many craft and art objects. She enjoyed her cottage on Big Turkey Lake in Indiana for many years.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery. Calling hours are 9 - 11 a.m, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Jack (Susan) Rogers of Fortuna, CA, and a daughter, Marie Rogers Britton of Fort Wayne, IN. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Sparkle Linn (Josh) Tyhurst of McCloud, CA and Laura (John) Griteman of Fort Wayne, IN and step-grandson Luke Vegnani of Fortuna, CA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ramona Goings and Elaine (Treece) Probst; one brother, John Hebb and son-in-law, Robert Britton.
A private graveside service will be held at Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland, Ohio at a later date. “Many thanks to all of the nurses and staff at Swiss Village for the wonderful care given to Artise during the past eight years."

Marie met and fell in love with Oris Junior Druckemiller and they were married on November 7, 1951. They have 4 children: James (Rosanne) Druckemiller, Michelle (Mark) Finnestad, John (Angie) Druckemiller, and Joseph (Alison) Druckemiller. Marie has 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Those who knew her will remember Marie as mother, grandmother, aunt, friend, teacher or by one of the many other diverse hats she wore. She seemed to do it all. She was always giving to others but, seldom accepted for herself. She had a big heart and a sincere love for God. She grew many smiles on the faces of children and will be truly missed. She went to heaven on Oris’ birthday, and now eternally together again they walk Heaven’s streets preparing for the rest of us to meet again. She was preceded in death by her husband,4 brothers, and a sister.
Funeral services will take place at the First Baptist Church in Van Wert Ohio on Saturday February 12, 2022, with viewing from 9:00 – 11:00am followed immediately by the funeral service, meal, and graveside at Van Wert Woodland Cemetery.

Jim was a process engineer at Federal Mogul - Tenneco for 47 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as well as camping and fishing in Canada. He was an avid Ohio State University Buckeyes fan.
