Obituary Preview: Mr. William “Eddie” Garrison passed away at Golden Years Nursing Home in Spring City, TN Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Eddie is survived by his wife Kathleen Gordon Garrison of Spring City, TN; two sons, Steve (Starlynn) Garrison and Kevin (Lesia) Garrison; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Garrison is preceded in death by his parents, RC and Lois Wilkey Garrison and his sister Glenda Garrison Holmes.
He was a member of Spring City United Mehodist Church.  Eddie was a life time season ticket holder for Tennessee Vols Football and loved to fish. He loved people and never met a stranger, going out of his way for the opportunity to talk to someone. Fifty years a free mason, York and Scottish Rites, member of the Eastern Star, and Alhambra Shriner. He was also a member of the Sheriff’s Department Scan Group and BVI.
A memorial service will held at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2PM with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. The family will receive friends from 1PM until service time.

Johnny was a very giving person and loved helping people and  he had many friends. He was preceded by his parents Syndney and Ellen Reed King, two brothers Wesley and Carl King, and a sister Carolyne Pack.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Caraway King Dayton, Tn. One sister Rachele (Johnny) Smith, Two brothers Carlos and Steve King all of Dayton, Tennessee, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:00pm in the chapel of Coulter Garrison funeral home. Burial will be in Cove cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 12 noon till 3:00p.

Wanda Jo "Gran" Patton - October 06, 1935 - April 11, 2022

Obituary Preview: Wanda Jo Patton, fondly known as “Gran,” was called home this Holy Week to be with her savior.
Wanda, 86, was the youngest daughter of Walter and Myrtle Denton. Spending her youth in the Dayton Blyth Ferry area during which time her poetry talents blossomed, earning awards from the National Poetry Society for some of her work. With her husband, Jack Patton, they raised four daughters, Sherry, Malynda, Lisa, and Angie.
Wanda worked for Oster Corporation for twenty-one years before becoming a certified nurse assistant with the Rhea County Health Department. She quickly developed rapport with those she served and earned the nickname “Gran” from many of the families with which she worked.
She was known for her cobblers and was active in many organizations and hobbies, including TSEA serving as secretary and later becoming coordinator of the health department’s HUGS program. Wanda also loved to line dance, along with writing poetry, and doing crafts and arts with her family. She attended, and was a member, Spivey United Methodist Church. She also visited New Bethel Church and Friendship Baptist Church.
Wanda Jo is welcomed into Heaven by her late husband Jack, grandsons Jeremy Mize and Jonathan Patton, and her parents.
She is survived by four daughters Sherry (Darey) Boynton Pikeville, Tn., Malynda (Joe) Wood Lakeville, Mass., Lisa Crabtree, and Angie Clark both of Dayton, Tenn. eight grandchildren, Sunny, Jesse, Robin, Nathan, Mathew, Dustin, Vanessa, and Zackery; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 15 2022 at 3PM in the chapel of Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald and Chaplain Michael Jackson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow at Spence Cemtery.

She was lifelong residence of Rhea County and a member of Kelly Grove Baptist Church. Margaret enjoyed arranging flowers, her stray animals, she loved babies and more than anything loved telling people about Jesus. She was always encouraging people by letting them know she was praying for them and even till the very end she prayed for the Doctors and nurses.
She is preceded in death by her husband Wallace Thompson, Brothers; Seaborn Jenkins, Jack Jenkins, James Edward Jenkins, Cleo Jenkins and John Jenkins, Sisters; Stella Suttles, Tennie Belcher, Naomi “Pat” McKenzie, Alton Delashmitt, Aileen Creekmore and Eva Goebel.
She is survived by her sister Betty Fransisco and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service for Margaret on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Buttram Cemetery with Rev Clyde Fitzgerald officiating.

Obituary Preview: David Victor Daniel “Vic”, 67, died peacefully on March 26, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  Vic was a graduate of Rhea County High School class of 1973.  He attended Chattanooga State Community College where he received an Associate Degree in Business and Accounting and a degree in Machine and Tool.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He retired from Suburban after 33 years of employment.  Vic was a passionate fan of the Tennessee Vols and enjoyed researching his family genealogy and heritage. He spent his remaining years being a devoted brother and uncle.  He will be greatly missed.
Vic is preceded in death by his parents: Doyle Daniel and Velma Daniel Nash, grandparents: Cay and Sidney Daniel and David and Betty Brown all of Rhea County.

He was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and a member of the Dayton Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Vietnam, where he earned three Gold Stars and a Purple Heart for bravery. He was a member of the TN Association of Chief of Police in June 1990. He retired from the Dayton Police Department in 2005, and he also retired from the Koch Company, where he worked security.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years: Brenda Walker; his parents: Harold Dale and Geneva Pearl Walker; and his nephew: John Thomas Williams.
He is survived by his sister: Wanda Walker Williams of Evensville, TN; nephew: Samuel Kerry Williams of Evensville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle, and cousins.  The service will be at 2:00 PM, on Monday, March 28, 2022, in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Minister Steve Brown officiating. Amanda was a 2007 graduate of Rhea County High School. She also attended Miller-Motte College and became a Licensed Massage Therapist from 2009-2012 and a Licensed Aesthetician in 2016.  One of Amanda’s favorite things to do was to travel and go to concerts. She loved sightseeing and animals, especially dogs. Amanda was a people person, very friendly, and would do anything for anyone.
Amanda is survived by her mother, Tammy Alvey; and her siblings, Shanta Clark, Stormy Upchurch, and Damion Upchurch and niece and nephew Grayson and Zoey all of Dayton, TN.
Amanda is preceded in death by her father, James Upchurch.
The family will receive friends on Thursday March 24, 2022 from 5-8PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.   No other services will be held at this time.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 25, 2022, at the Rhea County Department of Education Levengood Educational Center, 1385 Broadway Street, Dayton, TN. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 3-5pm, followed by special prayer and remembrances of Charlotte.

Max lived a full life.  He was retired from Suburban.  He loved farming, raising cattle, and selling produce.  He also enjoyed fishing with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Allie Neal,  daughter; Lisa Lane, granddaughter; Amber Neal, and two brothers; Charlie Neal and John Neal.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ruth Gill Neal of Pikeville, one son; Tim (Misty) Neal of  Dayton, two daughters; Tammy (Dewey Dana) Gravett of Dayton, and Kathy Mitchell of Pikeville, one son-in-law; Troy Lane of Evensville, seven grandchildren; Bryan (Chrissy) Lane, Brandon Gravett, Kayla Lane, Hannah Mitchell, Noah Mitchell, Logan Turner, and Gwen Turner, one grandson-in-law; Chris Neal, one great granddaughter; Cassidy Neal, two sisters; Lovenia Thurman and Lois Thurman, two brothers; George (Pat) Neal and Hoyt (Linda) Neal and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 in the chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Swafford and Pastor Dewey Dana Gravett officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Summer City Cemetery.
The family will receive family and friends on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 4-8 PM at Coulter Garrison Funeral Home.
Pallbearers for Max will be BJ Salmon, JB Brooks, Troy Lane, Gary Lane, Mark Burnett, Scott Wooden and Lealan McSpadden.

Angelica was a 2021 graduate of Rhea County High School. She was in her first year of attendance at Chattanooga State University in Tennessee. She was also a member and dedicated volunteer at Sale Creek First Baptist Church. Angelica is preceded in death by her grandparents: Jim “Papa” Lewis and Gail “Mamaw” Travis. She is survived by countless family and friends, where her love will live on every day, including parents: Greg and Sherree Travis; sister: Magan Travis; brothers Blake Travis (Brittany), and Mason Reynolds; grandparents: Wallace “Papaw” Travis and JoAnn “Nana” Lewis; nieces: Kennedy, Kymber and Reagan; Nephews: Kyler and Conner; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
