She is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, John A. Fonseca (d.2005); her parents, Stanislaw & Mary Grzes; & siblings, Blanche, Stella, Valerie, Mary, & Joseph.
She is survived by her two children, John F. (Laurie) Fonseca of Iselin, & Marie (Brian) McCafferty of Milltown; five grandchildren, Jonathan (Alissa) Fonseca, Tiffany (Frank) Mesimer, Shawn (Christine) McCafferty, Brian and Kelly McCafferty; three great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Gabriella Fonseca, and Harley Mesimer; a brother, John Grzes of Kearny; a sister-in-law, Sophie Fonseca of Far Hills; & many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 4-8pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Ave. in Iselin.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday May 3, 2024 at 10:15am at St. Cecelia RC Church in Iselin. Interment will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia.

He was born in Jersey City, NJ on August 8, 1950 to the late Edward F. Castner and Veronica (n. Kearney) Castner. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School and continued to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Education at New Jersey City University. He proudly served in the Air Force for 20 years.
Douglas is predeceased by his brothers Patrick Castner and Richard Castner.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Claire (n. Caulfield) Castner, of Somerville; his son, Sean Castner, of Austin, TX; his brothers: Gregory Castner, of Woodbridge, NJ and Peter Castner, of Oregon; his grandson, Elijah, and many other family members.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green St. Iselin, NJ 08830.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at St. Cecelia’s Church in Iselin, NJ at 10:15am followed by an interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.

She was born in New York City on January 2, 1958 to the late John and Winifred (n. McGloin) Griffin and lived there until she moved to Iselin, New Jersey in 1997.
While she was a member of MABSTOA, local 100 and worked there for 20 years, her greatest accomplishment was being an amazing mother, wife and sister. Laura was compassionate and kind and had the most caring heart.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Palazzo, her daughters: Tiffany and Amanda; and her sister, Theresa.

Obituary Preview: Robert Schulz, 90, of Iselin, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Roosevelt Care Center in Edison.
Born in Iselin, he was a lifelong resident. He attended Eastside Vocational High School in Manhattan and is a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a carpenter and co-founder of R&S Construction Company in Iselin. He was a charter member of the Iselin Guzzlers Athletic Club and the VFW of Iselin as well as the American Legion Post #471. Robert belonged to the Deutscher Club of Clark where he enjoyed many fun parties and get togethers.
He is predeceased by his wife, Clara (1985); and his siblings, Eddie, George (Dutch), Laura, and Lillian.
He is survived by his son, Robert and his wife Lisa of Avenel; and his granddaughter, Samantha who he adored, and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 4 to 8pm at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 200 Cooper Ave., Iselin, NJ 08830.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11am at the Funeral Home followed by the interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Bill was born in Bayonne, NJ to the late John P. and Irene McKenna. He had lived in Jersey City before residing in Metuchen 35 years ago. He graduated from Bayonne High School and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from St. Peters College in Jersey City.
Bill was self-employed as a Tax Accountant in Woodbridge for 45 years. He was a former communicant of St. Cecelia’s RC Church in Iselin. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, watching his favorite TV shows and old movies, and spending time with family and friends, especially at the Jersey Shore.
Bill is survived by his wife of 36 years, Margaret Regan McKenna; his son, John Patrick McKenna, his wife Marilena, and his grandson Luca of Glastonbury, Conn.; his 4 sisters, Virginia Buczkowski of Bayonne; Elizabeth Yeganeh of Bayonne; Joann Taragano of Iselin and Theresa Kelly and her husband Brian of Edison.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 25th from 3 to 7 pm in the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street & Cooper Avenue, Iselin. There will be a Service at 6:00 pm in the funeral home. Cremation was private. To send condolences visit www.costello-runyon.com.

She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Robert Simone; her daughter, Marijane Pannullo; her son-in-law, Edward Allegretto; and her granddaughter Bianca Simone.
She is survived by her loving children, Anthony Simone, Louisa Allegretto, Maria Earley and her husband Paul, Linda Turowski and her husband Joseph, Marlena Simone, Roberta Gee and her husband Daniel; her son-in-law, Frank Pannullo; her grandchildren, Lydia, Frank and his wife Abby, Marisa and her husband Jimmy, Eddie, Maria, Joseph, Christina and her husband Danny, Simone, Victoria, Robert, Amanda and her fiancé Kory, and Paul. She was also a loving Nonnie to her great-grandchildren Emelia, Isaac, Henley, Allegra, Dominic, Alden, Zayna, and Cameron.
Born in Naples, Italy, she moved to the United States as a child. On a return trip, she met the love of her life, Robert Simone, and immigrated to Boston, MA. In 1974, she moved to Staten Island, NY where she continued raising her large family. She has resided in Iselin for the last twenty years.
Once her children were grown, Lydia worked as an expert tailor and enjoyed making everything from wedding couture to Halloween costumes for her grandchildren. To her family, she was a North Star whose love and devotion to those she loved was apparent in everything she did and her love and wisdom were available to anyone who needed it. Her boundless energy allowed her to work until she was 86 when she finally decided to slow down.
Her love of cooking, music, and old movies was apparent. As an amazing cook, her holiday gatherings were filled with family, friends, neighbors, love, and laughter, as everyone was welcomed. But most important to her was her love for God. She was a woman of unbreakable faith. We, her family and friends, are grateful for her long life and blessed that she belonged to us. May her beautiful precious soul rest in peace.
Her family has requested a private viewing followed by a Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 10:15am at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Iselin. Entombment will follow at Woodbridge Memorial Gardens.

Davisson (Kathryn), twenty six nieces and nephews, and many friends. She is also pre-deceased by a step-sister, Catherine Lowery (Robert). Florence was a kind and loving wife, mother, and sister, and always brought a smile to the faces of everyone around her. She worked as a Personal Shopper for Macy’s for many years. She was a devoted member of the Jehovah’s Witness and enjoyed attending services in the Iselin congregation hall. Cremation was private. Her memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall, 73 Edward St., Iselin, NJ, and will be broadcast

Born in Brooklyn to the late Edwin and Evelyn Moloughney, she and the family moved around many times during the depression before settling in Jersey City. She and her husband moved to Iselin in 1954. At age 70, after her husband passed away, she moved to Tennessee. She moved to Pennsylvania in her early 80’s.
She was a Secretary for A.P. Green Refactory in Woodbridge for many years.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph (d.1990) and her siblings Dolores, Irene and Edwin.
Surviving are her three children Joseph Odenheimer, Jr., Susan Barnes, and Pamela Walsh; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will take place on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at 9:45 am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Ave., Iselin followed by a 10:15 am Funeral Mass at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Iselin. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Carmen "Babe" Mario Chisvetti - October 26, 1929 - August 13, 2023

Obituary Preview: It is with great sadness to announce the death of our dear dad, Carmen Chisvetti, age 93.
Mr. Chisvetti died on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at RWJ at Rahway hospital.
Mr. Chisvetti (Carmen) was born and raised in Newark, NJ & married the love of his life, Agnes in 1959. They proudly created their family of five and in 1972 moved to Colonia, NJ.
Mr. Chisvetti was a parishioner of St John Vianney RC Church in Colonia. He worked for the US Postal Service as a mail carrier for over 25 years. He was a past President of the resident’s council at Greiner Towers in Colonia.
Mr. Chisvetti enjoyed playing pool/billiards, watching old movies (especially those starring Errol Flynn), painting, & was a big sports enthusiast with special interests in the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame football team and the New York Yankees, and he thoroughly loved singing. He was a generous individual who supported many organizations. He was a caring man who never hesitated to help those in need.
Mr. Chisvetti was predeceased by a son, Dominick (d. 1992); his parents, Carmen & Anna; and three (3) brothers, Dominick, Salvatore and Benjamin. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Agnes; two children, Anthony and his wife Rebecca of Brandon FL and Diana of Rahway, NJ; a sister-in-law, Carole of Newark, NJ; and, two nephews, Ben and his wife Ellen of Newark and Carmen and his wife Debra of Staten Island, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:15 am from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street in Iselin, NJ. A mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12 pm at St John Vianney RC Church, Colonia. Interment will be at St Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Dorothy C. Dice - January 29, 1922 - July 22, 2023

Obituary Preview: Dorothy C. Dice (Dot) passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2023 at the age of 101, surrounded by seven of her eight surviving children. Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband of 67 years, William F Dice. She was a loving and dedicated mother of nine children: Lawrence Dice (deceased spouse Barbara), Stephen Dice (deceased), Stanley Dice, Patricia Rose Dice, Barbara Dice, Kathleen Dice (spouse Dennis), Theresa Kaggia (spouse Gitau), Mary Jo Dice-Layton, and Connie Kaloyerakis (spouse Greg), all of whom provided her with 17 wonderful grandchildren and 15 equally wonderful great grandchildren.
Family was the cornerstone of Dorothy’s life. Her compassion, generosity, integrity and intellect were unmatched, except for that of her devoted Dear Bill Dice. He would say “that’s my lady”, and she is now back in his arms.
Dorothy was born in Butler, New Jersey on January 29, 1922, where she grew up with her caring parents and eight siblings. She graduated from Montclair State University in 1942 with a degree in English and Literature. She went on to teach in New York City. She met the love of her life at Montclair State and married in 1945.
Dorothy attended St. Cecelia’s Church with her family for decades. She often spoke of her faith with reference to the poem Abou Ben Adhem by Leigh Hunt, which reads “I pray thee, then, write me as one who loves his fellow men”. Dorothy was well known in Menlo Park Terrace as a fierce and determined mother, who “loved her neighbor as herself”.
Dorothy was active as a volunteer with NAMI NJ. She was an avid reader until she lost her sight to macular degeneration. Dorothy remained strong, positive, caring and hopeful to her very last day. She will be missed by every single life she touched.

Born and raised in Maplewood, he had lived in East Orange before moving to Iselin in 1960. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and a former parishioner at St. Cecelia Church in Iselin. Frank has worked as a Grocery Manager for Food Fair all over New Jersey and later became a custodian for East Hanover Schools.
Some of his hobbies were doing work outside, going to Atlantic City, traveling and going to Dunkin Donuts with family and friends.
He is predeceased by his wife, Rina (DiEduardo); his parents, Francis and Maria Benevento; and his siblings, Tony Benevento, Mary Beckler, and Fannie Ferrara.
He is survived by his 2 sons, Frank Benevento (Leia Bacchetta) of Iselin and Mike Benevento (Linda) of Fords; his daughter, Donna Martelle (John) of Colonia; his 8 grandchildren, Danielle, Stefanie, Johnny, Michael, Nick, Brittany, Tony, and Frankie; and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 from 4 to 8pm at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green St. & Cooper Ave in Iselin.
The funeral will take place Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 9:30am from the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:15am at St. Cecelia RC Church, 45 Wilus Way, Iselin NJ 08830. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery and Mausoleum in East Hanover.

Bigler, and Xavier Rodriguez. She is also survived by her sister Mary Jane Murray and her husband Pete and her brother Joseph Pellegrino and his wife Tilda; a sister-in-law Mary Margaret Pellegrino and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In 1976, he moved to Middletown where he raised his two sons, Frank and Thomas Jr. After a successful career managing a trucking company, he proudly founded Select Enterprises which he operated alongside his sons for over 25 years.
He was a devoted and generous family man who enjoyed cars, getaways to the Borgata in Atlantic City, and spending time with his family and loving partner Suzy Fitzgerald.
Tom is survived by partner Suzy Fitzgerald, his two sons, Frank and partner Jackie; and Thomas Jr. and wife Lauren; two grandchildren Charlotte and Joshua; two sisters Ginger Toussaint and Marji Pinto and husband Bob; and niece Lisa Myers and husband Dave.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 9am-11:30am with a Funeral Service at 11:30 am at Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 1225 Green Street and Cooper Avenue, Iselin.
Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
