Rosa Rojas - July 27, 1938 - February 09, 2024

Departed: 02/09/2024 (Corona)
Obituary Preview: With a heart full of love and hands forever extended to help others, Rosa Rojas completed her earthly journey on February 9th, 2024. Born in Trujillo, Peru on July 27, 1938, to Manuel Rojas Chavez and Amelia Mayorga, Rosa was a compassionate soul whose humble nature and immense love for others shone in all her actions.
Rosa migrated to Corona, New York, forty years ago where she made her home and immersed herself in the fabric of the community. She spent fifteen dedicated years as a seamstress in the garment industry, but her real passion was found in the loving service she provided to those around her. Rosa was known for her thoughtfulness, often putting others' needs before her own. Her faith was an anchor in her life, and she spent countless hours volunteering at her local church and making rosaries. The words from the Book of Matthew, "whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me," truly embodied Rosa's way of life.
Rosa, who was never married, is survived by her beloved sisters Ines Choroco and Elvia Rojas; and brothers, David and Renan Rojas. She was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Rojas Chavez, and her mother, Amelia Mayorga. As we mourn Rosa's passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the countless lives she touched.
We invite you to leave your memories of Rosa and upload photos to the memorial page. In this way, her compassionate spirit and humble heart will continue to flourish within us all.
