Kirkland “Kirk” age 64, of Central Point, Oregon, passed peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Born in Santa Rosa, California to Owen Luverne Klug and Elsie Marie Klug. They briefly moved to Salem, Oregon, and later resided in Medford, Oregon. Kirk graduated from Medford Senior High in 1978. He was a standout athlete in basketball and played baseball up until his sophomore year. After high school, Kirk worked at Burrill Lumber Company and Boise Cascade Company, where he later received an associate degree and worked as a process control electrician. In August of 1988, he married Rhonda R. Elmore and lived in Medford, OR. They later moved to Central Point and raised two sons. In 2005, Kirk began working at Harry & David as a process control electrician with continuing education and truly enjoyed the people he worked with. He was working toward retirement in 2025. Kirk was a family man and surrounded himself with his wife and boys. He spent countless years coaching basketball for both of his boys. He never missed any of his son’s sporting events: dirt bike racing, soccer, basketball, football, karate, or track & field, and was their biggest fan. He was so proud of both of his son’s academic and athletic accomplishments. Kirk helped raise his
boys to turn out to be the great men they are today! His wife was his soulmate and best friend, and they did everything together. He was an amazing husband and father who supported his family in all that they did. He was their ROCK! Anyone who knew Kirk knew this to be true and knew that he was well respected by all. It didn't take long after talking with Kirk for people to know that he was a good man.
Kirk was preceded in death by his father, Owen Klug, mother, Elsie Klug, brother, Richard Klug, sisters, Gloria Sparks and Debbie Marin, and nephew, Mark Klug.
Kirk is survived by his wife, Rhonda Klug, and his two sons, Hunter Klug and Houston Klug.

As a woman of deep faith, Marie felt it was vital to cherish people for who they are, and not what they are. To Marie, everyone had a value, and she was grateful for their presence in her life.
She grew up mostly in southern Oregon and graduated from Reedsport High School in 1970. Marie was a good student and enthusiastic band member. As the first in her family to attend college, she was overjoyed to receive scholarships and Honors-at-Entrance from Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. Judith Ellen Swope - August 24, 1937 - April 03, 2024

Departed: 04/03/2024 (Central Point)
Obituary Preview: Judith (Judy) Ellen Swope was born August 24, 1937 in New York City to John and Lydia Birgen as 4 of 15 children. Judy was known by her family and friends to be a
resilient, talented and kind lady who loved Jesus. At age 7, Judy moved to Washington state where she would eventually marry James (Jim) Swope and raise 5 children. Judy was an industrious and creative homemaker. In 1986 she earned her AA in art and officially started her painting career. Judy was a naturally talented musician and had a beautiful voice which was typically focused on expressing her love of God. Some of her favorites were “His Eye is on the Sparrow” and “Amazing Grace”. Judy was an avid Scrabble and chess player. It was a rite of passage for one of her children to win against her! Judy lived in Oklahoma from 2005 - 2007 and moved to Iowa after the death of her husband to be closer to her youngest grandchildren. By 2013, She desired to return to the mountains and be near her eldest daughter. They made many trips to the ocean, rode motorcycles and enjoyed hiking with her new adopted daughter, Heidi. At 75 years old, she went snowshoeing at Crater lake (elevation 7,000’) and popped out with “What’s the matter with me? I just can’t figure out why I am so out of breath!” Many of her grandchildren benefitted from and cherished art lessons with grandma. She also volunteered her time at Cascade Christian Schools playing Scrabble and being an
honorary member of the Brains in Black. In 2018, Judy was diagnosed with Alzheimers. As her condition progressed and the things of this earth were lost to her, she continued to show joy. She may not remember who you were, but she would light up talking about Jesus and found comfort and delight
in music and colors.
On April 3, She made her final move when she left this earth and went home to heaven. She leaves behind 5 children; Ross (Renee) Swope, Debby Swope, Doug (Marcia) Swope, Michelle Swope and Connie (Kevin) Pitcher, 11 grandchildren and many great
grandchildren. “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.” (Ps. 116:15) Judy’s family is grateful for the gentle respect and kindness of the caregivers at
Farmington, Kinsington Memory Care and Signature Hospice.
