She was the daughter of the late Lowell Nathaniel Ball and Vernie Lorraine Rose Ball Owens. She loved to sew, loved gardening, enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She was a great mother and grandmother and loved going to the beach. She was of the Christian faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother: Mollie Rose, and one cousin: Patrica Rasnake.
She is survived by her husband Roy Taylor Jr., daughters: Amanda Hansen and husband Nick of Lebanon, VA, Crystal Worley of Fort Knox, KY, Amber Yerkes and husband David of Elizabethtown, KY sons: Christopher Rasnake and wife Jessica of Trinity, NC, Michael Taylor and wife Staci of Elkhorn City, KY, David Taylor and wife Claudia of Dorton, KY, Sisters: Kimberly Joyce and husband Curtis of Honaker, VA, Brothers: David Powers, James Powers and wife Lesia, and Curtis Powers, grandchildren: Trenton Ball, Mahleigh Hansen, Emmaleigh Hansen, Rachel-Leigh Worley, Zoey Worley, Cole Yerkes, Luke Yerkes, Scarlett Yerkes, Brian Creech, Xavier Rasnake, Logan Rasnake, Serenity Rasnake, Mitchell Taylor, Hannah Taylor, and Marissa Taylor, and several nieces and nephews also survive. She is also survived by her beloved dog Lucy.
A celebration of life service will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 1:00pm at 84 Wexford Place Elizabethtown, KY.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-nine years: Ricky Culbertson; son: Adam Culbertson and wife Ashley of Roper, NC; mother: Nancy Jessee of Castlewood; brother: Chris Jessee and wife Stephanie of Blountville, TN; grandchildren: Kaden Culbertson, Asher Culbertson and one on the way; along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 in the Combs-Hess Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Woody Scott and Rev. Marvin Cain officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.

George Wesley Tetter, Jr. - January 26, 1932 - May 16, 2021

Obituary Preview: Lebanon, VA –George Wesley Tetter, Jr., age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 16, 2021. Born January 26, 1932 in Wythe County, son of the late George Wesley, Sr. and Mertie Ruth Osborne Tetter. He was a member of Green Valley Baptist Chrurch and faithfully served as Deacon and Sunday School teacher for many decades. George served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean conflict; worked as a Union Iron Worker for fifteen years and retired as a welding instructor at RCCTC with thirty years of service. Anyone that knew him knew that he would do anything for others (as long as he wasn’t fishing that day). George taught us how to walk in faith and show God’s love. He was beloved by all and will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife of thirty-five years: Joan Bolling Tetter; his second wife of eight years: Virginia (Jenny) West Tetter; two sisters: Mabel Tetter Rankin and Mary Esther Doss.
He is survived by his two daughters: Dr. Melanie Cardell of Douglasville, GA and Kathy Nunley and husband Dwight of Lebanon, VA; grandchildren: Wesley Nunley of Lebanon, VA and Lindsay Frauhiger and husband Jarrett of Clayton, NC; one great-grandchild: Crystionna Nunley; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Green Valley Baptist Church with Dr. Don Zampogna and Rev. Darrell Fletcher officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. The funeral service will be live-streamed on the funeral home Facebook page. The committal service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Forest Hills Memory Gardens. Those wishing to attend are ask to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m.

Born October 30, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William and Cynthia Burns. She was a truly loving, caring Christian lady and was a member of Monarch Baptist Church for over seventy years. She was a true “kid whisperer” who devoted much of her time to nurturing and babysitting both family and friends’ kids. The past two years, she has been a resident of Ridgecrest Manor in Duffield where she became one of the favorites of many of the staff. She had a blessed and long life without many illnesses along the way.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Edgar Hatcher Lambert; daughter: Sharon Wells; granddaughter: Cindy White; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her son: Michael “Bert” Lambert of Duffield, VA; daughter: Sandra White of Denver, CO; three grandchildren: Tiffany White Coppin and husband John of Denver, CO, Wesley Wells, Dustin Lambert and wife Sarah of Big Stone Gap, VA; great-grandchildren: Aidan, Avery and Oaklyn; along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.

He was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed farming and growing vegetables for the Lebanon Farmer’s Market. He participated in the Lebanon Farmer’s Market for 25 years. He was one of the original members of the farmer’s market.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years: Thelma Hughes Cassell; three brothers: Walter, Carl and Don Cassell; and one sister: Eva Sue Cassell Hughes.
He is survived by his daughter: Linda Cassell; sister: Danah Johnson; several nieces, nephews and cousins; one cat: Tubby; special neighbors: Darlene and Giles Boothe and Billy Joe and Hope Hicks.
Graveside services for Earl Junior Cassell will be Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Ketron Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Darrell Fletcher officiating. The family will receive friends in the mausoleum from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Obituary Preview: MANSFIELD, OHIO: Rosa Lee Tolliver, age 86, peacefully passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from her Mansfield, Ohio home under the care of OhioHealth Hospice with loving family by her side.
Rosa Lee was born October 8, 1934 in Honaker, Virginia the daughter of Billie and Beulah (Owens) Hess and graduated from Honaker High School. She worked many years at Ideal Electric in Mansfield, Ohio. She met Hollis R. Tolliver, Sr. and the pair married on June 1, 1973. Upon retiring in 1990, her husband and Rosa Lee began spending winters in Florida and summer in Tennessee/Virginia. In Florida, she was a member of Ocala Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and journaling every day. Another favorite activity was fishing—especially with her brother in Virginia. Rosie had her own bass boat and it was her husband‘s job to clean the fish she caught!
Rosa Lee was also an excellent cook and no one who entered her home went hungry. Friends would ask for her Three Layer Carolina Dessert by name. Anyone who knew Rosa Lee would describe her as lovely and she was friends with everyone she met. She was a strong woman who was gifted with hospitality and a great love for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Hollis “H.T.” Tolliver of Mansfield, Ohio; son Gerald (Sharon) Strouth of Mansfield, Ohio; daughter Patricia (Larry) Brubaker of Fredericktown, Ohio; step-children Michael (Shirley) Tolliver of Mansfield, Ohio, Tom (Nancy) Tolliver of Mifflin, Ohio, and Hollis Jr. (Kelly) Tolliver of Lexington, Ohio; eleven grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; siblings Gene Hess, Phyllis Tiller, Richard Hess, Kenneth Hess, Wayne Hess, and Bonnie Hart; and her faithful canine companion, Sadie the dachshund.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three grandchildren; sisters Ollie and Faye; and step-daughters Drema and Debra.
The Tolliver family wishes to thank the nurses and aides of OhioHealth Hospice for the compassionate care they gave to Rosa Lee the past several weeks.
