Bross, Sr., 82, of Livingston, NJ, formerly of Orange, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024.Joe was born in Orange in February 1942 to Louis and Catherine (McKay) Bross. He graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School and later served in the National Guard Reserves for our country.He was employed as a window clerk at the Orange and West Orange branches of the U.S. Post Office for almost 40 years. After his retirement, he worked part time for The New Jersey Sports Authority for 10 years in the mailroom.Joe enjoyed his daily trips to Dunkin Donuts, occasional trips to casinos, traveling, and attending Rutgers and Seton Hall sporting events. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren – he went to all of their concerts, games and school happenings.Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, JoAnn (Sciarrillo) Bross, his cherished children, Joseph Bross, Jr.; and Stephanie Ferraro and her husband, John Ferraro; his adored grandchildren, Matthew and Ava; as well as 2 grand-dogs, Claire and Jax. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.Visitation will be Thursday, May 2nd from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Codey Funeral Home of Caldwell. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Raphael R.C. She grew up in Newark, graduating from Barringer High School. Joan went on to work at Dugan's Bakery and the Tung-Sol factory.She married Thomas Mooney in 1959 and lived in Caldwell. Joan was a master seamstress, doing all her sewing by hand. She made clothes for her family as well as many stuffed animals for charity. Joan also enjoyed baking cakes for the Boys Club of America and doted on her plant collection. She devoted herself to her family and they were most important to her. Joan loved being a grandmother of four and a great grandmother of one.Joan was predeceased by her husband, Thomas; and her siblings, Helen Poniken, Ruth Bradford, and Wallace Peters. She is survived by her devoted children, Lydia Zolla and her husband, Hank of Lake Hiawatha; and Thomas Mooney, Jr. and his wife, Patty of Budd Lake; her cherished grandchildren, Melissa Petrosi and her husband, Joe; Matthew Zolla and his fiance, Toni Bizzaro; Joseph Zolla; and TJ Mooney III; and her great grandson, JD Petrosi.Visitation with her family will be Wednesday, April 3rd from 4:00 to 8:00pm at Codey Funeral Home of Caldwell. She went on to attend Katharine Gibbs School. For over 50 years, she was a legal administrative assistant to Stephen J. Edelstein.In 1974 Anne married her beloved Gerard; the two would celebrate 50 years of marriage this year. Their children and grandchildren were the light of her life.When Anne was diagnosed with cancer in 2021, she refused to let it stop her from living the life she wanted. She continued working, grabbing meals with friends, and making the occasional casino trip with Gerry to play the slots.Anne was best known for her magnetic personality. Anyone fortunate enough to spend time with her would describe her as warm and generous. Doug was born in January 1950 in Orange, NJ to James, Sr. and Bernice Hartwyk.He was predeceased by his wife of 28 years, Catherine (Cathy) in 2008, with whom he raised a family in Point Pleasant, NJ. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Kate Hartwyk and Doug Pepe of Verona, NJ; Sarah and Adam Schlenoff of Timonium-Luterville, MD; and Brian and Caitlin Hartwyk of Parkville, MD; and his six grandchildren, Charlie, Henry, Teddy, Brady, Camden, and Emily. He is also survived by his five brothers and their spouses, James, Jr. & Kathleen; Jeffrey, Sr. & Lenora; Mark & Joanne; Philip & Eleanor; and Christopher; and many nieces and nephews.Doug was a jack of many trades, including commercial fishing and running an Ice Cream Truck at the Jersey Shore. Born on November 28, 1950, in Orange, NJ, Joseph was the son of the late Ann Cassini and Joseph Cassini Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie, their daughter Caroline, and her husband Jakob Greisen.Judge Cassini was a distinguished individual who dedicated 33 years of his life to serving as a Judge in New Jersey, including 20 years in the state's Superior Court. Throughout his career, he presided over numerous noteworthy cases, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to justice and fairness.Cassini was enthusiastic, too, for the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. He was a three-time graduate of the university, earning his BA in 1972, before receiving an MBA and Juris Doctorate in 1976. In 2012, he and his wife, Margie, established an endowment to support loan repayment assistance for graduates of the Notre Dame Law School. His higher education provided a solid foundation for his successful career in the legal field.Despite the demanding nature of his profession, Joseph found solace in his passion for collector cars, viewing them as an escape from the rigors of the job. He was a true connoisseur and a fixture of the collector car hobby, always eager to share his enthusiasm with others. His love for automobiles was particularly evident during his participation in the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where he proudly showcased his vehicles no less than 24 times, winning the coveted Best of Show Award twice.The family invites friends and loved ones to pay their respects at the wake on Thursday, January 25th from 3pm to 7pm at the Codey Funeral Home, 54 Roseland Ave, Caldwell, NJ. She was 79.Born in Glen Ridge, NJ in December 1944 to Mathew and Kathryn (Young) Kent, Dolores grew up on Personette Street in Caldwell. Known as “Lolly” in her younger days, she graduated from St. Aloysius Elementary School in 1958 and from James Caldwell High School in 1962. Later she attended Union College in New Providence.Dolores was a talented dancer and proudly performed in the recitals at the Hines Sisters Dance School. A twirler at JCHS, she was known for her smile and beautiful dimples. Outgoing and friendly, Dolores had a close-knit group of friends to go to Grunings with and ice skate at Grover Cleveland Park.She was a dedicated and professional Executive Secretary for over 50 years, aiding the Presidents of local corporations for most of her career: Beneficial Finance, Curtis Wright, Sun Dial & Panel Corp, Tropar Trophy Inc., Fagersta Steel Co./Avesta Stainless Inc., and Compensating Tension Controls, Inc., while also owning and operating a commercial cleaning service. She retired as a secretary in 2012 from the Caldwell-West Caldwell Board of Education.During her well-deserved retirement, Dolores enjoyed spending time at her family home in Vermont visiting with her cousins and friends, as well as photography, sewing, and various crafts. She loved to meet her friends for lunch and dinner, keeping in touch with so many of them, from grade school, high school and most of her jobs.Dolores was a collector and delighted in her large Christmas village, cut glass, antiques and her treasured pig collection. She competed with her son-in-law finishing jigsaw puzzles and relaxed doing adult coloring books. Dolores was passionate about the color purple, whether it be clothing or flowers in her backyard garden. She became a fan of birds later in life and was so entertained watching them at the feeders outside her kitchen window. Dolores loved having the family over and you couldn’t have a birthday without a dinner and cake. She was an enthusiastic grandmother and adored babies. Everyone and everything deserved a celebration and we will miss her so much.Dolores loved listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, anything from the 50’s, Anne Murray, the Judds and the old-time country artists. A devoted soap opera fan, she would tape her shows while at work to watch at night. Dolores could tell you all about the characters and their misdeeds, especially Victor Newman from The Young & the Restless! She liked to travel and visited many states in the U.S. and other beautiful places like Montreal, Bermuda, Hawaii, England, Freeport, and Mexico.Dolores is survived by her beloved husband, James P. Russomano; her cherished children, Kelly Coad Carey, her husband Thomas and her son, John S. Torchia; Tracy Turney, her husband Aaron, and their children, Mae and Jack; and Thomas Russomano, his wife Lisa, and their daughters, Noelle and Callie; her niece, Erin Kent; her nephew, Matt Kent, his wife Sara and his daughter, Star Kent Finnegan; her brother-in-law, Barry Russomano, his wife Laura, their children Gina Russomano and Nic Russomano, and their grandchildren, the little great nieces, Rose Pressler and Ella James Russomano.She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers and their wives, Samuel M. Obituary Preview: Nancy Lee Ryan (nee Lacey), aged 92, of West Orange, NJ, died peacefully in her sleep, January 14, 2024, of natural causes.Born in Newark, NJ, Nancy enjoyed her childhood growing up in Vaux Hall, graduating from Union High School, in Union. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications Arts from Seton Hall Univ., in South Orange, graduating magna cum laude as salutatorian of her graduating class.Nancy began her retailing career in the 1950s as an advertising copywriter for Bamberger’s Newark, NJ retail store and rose to the position of VP/Advertising before leaving to join Abraham & Strauss in Brooklyn.With a retail career spanning more than 45 years, Ms. Ryan was at the center of an advertising revolution as campaigns shifted from print and radio to more significant television exposure.Nancy Ryan was a familiar TV and Radio “voice” for A&S, creating, producing, casting, and directing, as well as “performing” voice-overs for more than 6,000 commercials — all ending with the same enthusiastic rallying cry of “Terrific!” That one repetitive word quickly came to be recognized as the A&S slogan for “smart shopping”.Nancy introduced, designed, and authored an annual collection of plush teddy bears for children known as “ABEARHAM & STRAUS THE MOUSE”. Complete with a pocket-sized adventure story book featuring the two pals, these bears and books became widely recognized as vintage collectibles.Another choice assignment during her years with A&S was as narrator of several documentaries, each celebrating an historic NYC landmark: The Statue of Liberty, The Brooklyn Bridge, and Ellis Island.In the 1980s & ’90s, Nancy received many awards recognizing her outstanding contributions to the retailing industry, including: “First Prize, 1988 Retail Advertising Conference Award for Advertising Excellence”; and “Award of Appreciation for Outstanding Dedication to the Advancement of Women”, presented by the National Conference for Women in the Fashion & Beauty Business, 1982 NYC.Retailing was not her only passion. Nancy Lee Ryan, advertising executive, voice-over artist, documentary narrator and children’s book author also enjoyed the life of a professional singer/actress and accomplished equestrian.Thanks to live appearances with Red Skelton at the famous “Olympic Park” in Irvington, NJ, when she was just three years old, an MGM talent scout came calling — but Papa said “NO!” to a life in the movies. Fast forward some 20 years, we find Nancy actively engaged in community theatre. She performed dozens of leading roles in musicals and comedies, such as “Irene” and “Unsinkable Molly Brown”, which quickly led to professional work appearing over the years in productions that included “On Golden Pond” and “Mornings at Seven” at the Bickford Theatre/Morris Museum, NJ, and Off Broadway’s “Passing Conversations” at the John Houseman Theatre, NYC.A union member of SAG-AFTRA and EQUITY, Nancy Lee Ryan was an active member of the theatre industry’s historic PLAYERS CLUB located in a brownstone building in New York’s Gramercy Park district.Despite her hectic schedule, Nancy found time for equestrian pursuits too, riding daily at the local West Essex NJ Equestrian Center and competing in regional events. She and her beloved horse, “Ghost”, were the happy recipients of many cherished ribbons.Ghost was aptly named due to his stark white face and “Paul Newman” bright blue eyes wedded to a chestnut body. Most unusual for certain, but even more interesting, Ghost lived to be more than 40 years old. He was a school horse most of his life until Nancy “rescued” him. Several generations attended his birthday party at the barn one year and gave many former students — and their children as well — a happy opportunity to visit their much-loved equine friend.Nancy bought this treasured “old” school horse for her 50th birthday, and the two spent many precious years together. During a special event from the NJVMA (NJ Veterinary Medical Assn.) the Animal Hall of Fame Certificate of Merit was awarded to Nancy Ryan as owner of this extraordinary horse.Ms. Ryan’s awesome versatility and boundless energy led many friends to jokingly comment that she seemed to enjoy more lives than the “nine lives” afforded a cat! In love with life, Nancy was an inspiration for all who knew her to remember to value and to live each day to the MAX! She will long be remembered as a remarkable and very special person who led a joyous and magical life.Nancy was the loving sister of Diane Lacey and the late Judith Buchanan and is survived by nieces Heather Bodnar and Kimmy Buchanan, nephew Bruce Buchanan, Jr., and great nephews Sean Nadeau and Daniel, Ramzon and Razwon Buchanan, and great niece Julia Nitikin and her two children. Nancy’s ex-husband Jack Ryan predeceased her.Nancy also leaves behind “Petey”, her dearly loved one-eyed, 17-year-old “service” cat who never left her side through so many of her health challenges.A funeral mass celebrating her beautiful life will be offered and an internment beside her mother will be in Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ. Obituary Preview: Richard Michael Cannara, known affectionately as Rich to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2023, in West Caldwell, NJ, after a brief illness.Born in Orange, NJ, in August 1940, to Michael and Ruth (née Larot) Cannara, Rich grew up in Roseland and was a 1958 graduate of Grover Cleveland High School.He served his country as a Military Police officer in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. For 30 years, Rich owned and operated the Caldwell Gulf Service Station on the point of Roseland and Westville Avenues. The station was a social hub, with the local guys coming in and out, having a cup of coffee and talking. His honest approach to business earned him the respect and loyalty of his customers.He had a love for his German Shepherd, Max, and a passion for riding motorcycles. Rich had a few of them - a Kawasaki comes to mind - and he enjoyed taking long rides to PA and upstate NY. As a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in North Caldwell, Rich's faith was central to his life. He was always helping people - giving them a ride or a little gas if they were in hard times and delivering packages to his neighbors in his complex. Rich had a fondness for films and TV shows featuring detectives - Blue Bloods was his favorite; as well as all the Weather Channel could offer. He had a quick wit with expressions and had a cheeky sense of humor.Rich was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Raymond Cannara and his wife, Myra; and his sister, Kathleen (Cannara) Masucci. He is survived by his daughters, Tina Sallee and Terri Cannara; his son-in-law, Paul Sallee; his granddaughters, Kate and Anna Sallee; his brother in law, Donald Masucci; and his nieces and nephews.Services were private and provided by Codey Funeral Home of Caldwell. (Duffy) Codey, 79, of Spring Lake Heights (formerly of Vailsburg; Montclair; Glen Ridge; Spring Lake; and Kiawah Island, SC) passed away after a long illness on December 11, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. Claire grew up in Montclair, NJ. She was a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School (’62) and Seton Hall University (’66). Prior to raising her children, she was a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Holy Family in Nutley and Sacred Heart in Bloomfield.In 1968, Claire married her high school sweetheart, best friend, and fellow Immaculate graduate, Lawrence Codey. They shared 61 wonderful years together. Claire committed her life to her husband and children, and she loved being Mamo to her grandchildren. Claire had a quick wit, a good sense of humor, and was an avid reader and exceptional cook. She loved the beach and her pool and after moving full time to Kiawah, she could be found hours a day floating in her pool. She loved hosting Thanksgiving for her extended family in Kiawah and the time she was able to spend with her nieces, nephews and their children. As much as Claire enjoyed beach life on Kiawah Island, she equally enjoyed the slower pace of west Clare, Ireland, and her home in Doonbeg where she formed lasting friendships.She was an active member of the Junior League of Newark and Glen Ridge, Charleston Garden Club, and Literary Volunteers of America.Claire was predeceased by her parents, William Duffy and Margaret (O’Neil) Duffy; and her sister, Margaret (Duffy) Strahan.Claire is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Larry Codey; her children, David Codey of Morristown; Erin (Codey) Rumsey (Robert Rumsey) of Spring Lake Heights; and Mara Codey (Wilfrido DelSalto) of Spring Lake; and her grandchildren, Caden, Ethan, Bailey and Austin DelSalto. She is further survived by her sister, Eileen Frances of Caldwell; and her many nieces and nephews—all of whom she loved dearly.

McGovern in Emporium, when John was on assignment there. They fell in love, and she decided to follow John to New York. They were married in 1960 in Queens, NY and went on to honeymoon in Puerto Rico.They lived in Cedar Grove before moving to Essex Fells in 1974. After 26 years, Rose Marie moved to Roseland. She went on to become an accomplished legal secretary and worked for Hartford Insurance in Roseland for many years.Rose Marie loved to spend time with her family, friends and church groups. She loved holiday get-togethers, Italian food, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Jerry Seinfeld’s comedy and the Radio City Christmas show.Predeceased by her beloved husband, John, in 2001, Rose Marie is survived by her three children, Michael McGovern, John McGovern and Mary McGovern, and their respective spouses, Karen Winslow, Mark Perry and Robert Strait; as well as her grandchildren, Anna McGovern and her spouse, Brian Justie; and Karen Elisa McGovern.Visitation with her family will be Sunday, December 10th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Codey Funeral Home of Caldwell. She graduated from John Adams High School in Queens in 1965, then worked as a secretary in a variety of companies in downtown Manhattan around Battery Park. After moving to New Jersey later in life, she worked in international shipping operations for Reefer Express Lines for many years.Pattie and her husband, Rich, raised their family in New Jersey, where she worked as a library assistant at the Caldwell Public Library for over 20 years, continuing to volunteer there in retirement. Pattie was known for being the kindest, most compassionate, selfless person in work and life, while simultaneously caring and advocating for her husband through a 12 year battle with dementia. Pattie will be remembered as an endlessly loving mom to her three children and adored dog, Delta, who were equally devoted to her.She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rich, just this past September. She attended Catholic school, and graduated from Belleville High School in 1971.Florence lived in Essex County her whole life, from Belleville to Verona, and finally to Caldwell. For many years she worked at Dr. Abrivia’s dental office, and was a friendly face to all his patients. Florence spent her last years living at Marion Manor, where she made many friends. She always had an uplifting attitude and energy.Florence was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Alfonse Porcello, Jr. She is survived by her niece, Melissa Porcello and her nephew, Thomas J. He spent his formative years in Belleville, where in 1950, fate brought him into the life of his beloved wife of seven decades, Rosemarie Massey. John served with honor in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict, proudly achieving the rank of sergeant. On January 17, 1953, he joined his life with Rosemarie’s and together they nurtured their family in the communities of Bloomfield and Roseland. In his retirement, John discovered tranquility in Powder Mill Village in Parsippany and eventually settled in Lakewood.John’s journey began in Belleville, where he excelled in playing first base – eventually making his mark in the Minor League for the Cardinals, before being drafted into the U.S. Army. Professionally he was a skilled carpet installer and later became a part owner of the installation company, Adams and Gray of Newark.In his leisure time, he cherished moments spent with his family. He was an active member of a bocce league in his adult community. Recently he earned the title of MVP and played an instrumental role in leading his team to a championship victory.John leaves behind a legacy of love, survived by his devoted wife, Rosemarie; and their three cherished children, daughters, Anne Landolfi and her husband, Philip; and Jeannette Jedziniak and her husband, Michael; and son, John Gerard Palumbo, Jr; his adoring grandchildren, Marisa Jefferson and her husband, Carlos; Philip Landolfi and his wife, Michelle; Christa Landolfi; Victoria Petrulla; Natalie Petrulla; and Jacqueline Werth and her husband, Mitchell; his great-grandchildren, Gia, Adriana, Jenna, and Marco; his sister-in-law, Sandra Coletta and her husband, Joseph; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.As he embarks on his journey to eternity, he will be welcomed into Heaven by many who loved and cherished him, especially his mother-in-law, Mary Massey and his sister-in-law, Constance Cesario.Visitation with the family will be Friday, November 3rd, 9:30 - 10:30AM at Codey Funeral Home of Caldwell. She and Edward Hughes, her loving husband of 57 years, raised six children living first in Newark, NJ and then West Orange. After raising her children, she went on to work at Macy’s for over a decade. Next to family, Mary most loved to travel, experiencing new places and cultures; she is estimated to have seen half the world with her husband. She maintained an extensive and beautiful garden, and with her husband shared a love of renovating and updating her West Orange home. Mary was a devoted parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Church. In retirement she remained busy volunteering with a number of groups, including Reeves-Reed Arboretum, the Rosary Altar Society, St. Barnabas Hospital, and as Treasurer of The Women's Club of West Orange. She and her "Lunch Bunch" of friends met monthly for many years.Mary is predeceased by her husband Edward; her sisters Margaret and Betty; and her brothers Bernard, James, and Joseph. Mary is survived by her sister Sheila, and her brothers Donal and Alec; her own six children: Colleen (Phillip) Pisciotti, Edward (Colleen Codey), Kieran (Jeannine), Cory (Robyn), Barry (Lisa), and Brian (Ashley); as well as eight grandchildren: James, Lauren, Aidan, Kelly, Connor, Shaun, Jacob, and Elle. From her we all learned to respect others, embrace difference, do good in the world, and never take oneself too seriously. She will be deeply missed.

The family moved to West Caldwell in 1963 and lived on Ravine Avenue up until recently.Marie's career as a movie theater employee began at the ticket window and ended with her becoming one of the first women theater managers in the area.Marie was a wonderful cook. On any given Sunday morning you could smell the enticing aroma of her homemade gravy and meatballs. Her love of music was boundless. She loved all the classic crooners of her time, especially her idols, Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller.Marie is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond; her daughter, Teresa; her sons, Raymond M., Louis, and Stephen; and her grandchildren, Christina, Jacqueline, Sam, Denali, Myles, Sophia, and Elliot.She taught her children to work hard, and to always love and respect one another. She was 97.Marion was born in April 1926, the daughter of George Harvey Alyea, a railroad employee, and Anna Hughes, who worked in a Paterson ribbon factory. She was descended from one of the early Dutch families that settled Bergen County in the late 1600s.Marion grew up in the Totowa section of Paterson and graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Paterson. She worked for many years in the billing department of Bell Telephone.She loved visiting the Jersey Shore, and on one visit there met David O. Prescott of Jersey City. They fell in love and were married on July 28, 1962 in the Church of St. Mary in Paterson.Marion and David raised their three children in Nutley and then moved to Fredon in Sussex County, where they lived for more than 50 years. They loved going on long walks together in the countryside and discussing the many books on history they read. Marion was a skilled baker, artist and seamstress, and made delicious homemade pizza. She enjoyed day trips into Manhattan with her daughter, Ellen, to shop and linger over lunch and a glass of wine.Marion was predeceased by her husband, David; her sister, Anna Bauer; and her granddaughter, Brittany Prescott.She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Prescott O’Neill and her husband, James O’Neill of Essex Fells, New Jersey; her son, Paul Prescott and his wife, Donna Prescott of Kemah Lake, New Jersey; her son, Brian Prescott of Holladay, Utah; and her grandchildren, Seamus O’Neill, Liam O’Neill and Paulie Prescott.Funeral services will be private.

She helped run the family business, Tevlin Trucking, and later worked for Dr. Harvey Silver for many years.Dolores was an avid reader, incredible cook/hostess, and a talented quilter. Some of her favorite times were spent on the beach in Lavallette, dinners at Don Pepe's in Newark, relaxing and enjoying a good glass of Riesling, drinking a delicious cup of coffee, driving her "57” T-Bird with the top off along with her English Sheepdog, Barney, as her passenger and spending time with lifelong friends in West Orange and at Marion Manor. But beyond all of that, family time was the most important to her and once the grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, she delighted in her matriarchal role.Dolores was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert William Tevlin and her cherished son, William Robert Tevlin. She is survived by her loving daughters, Susan Rowek and her husband, Raymond; Nancy Koscinski and her husband, Robert; and Maureen Vittoria and her husband, Lawrence; her adored grandchildren, Robert F. His battle with serious medical issues showed his courage in facing life’s challenges and he maintained his strength until the very end.Jim was born to James E. Sayers, Sr., and Viola M. (Lupia) Sayers in January 1948. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his time in Vietnam. Upon his return, Jim joined the Newark Police Department, where he bravely protected and served for many years. His true passion was photography, and he turned that passion into two successful photography businesses that he owned and operated for over twenty-five years. Jim then took a job with the NJ State Lottery and eventually became a district supervisor for the NJ Department of Labor, where he continued to work until his passing.Jim had a real zest for life and enjoyed every single moment exactly the way he wanted to, on his terms. He loved Italian food, wine, Dewar’s, music, dancing and spending time with his family. Jim spared no expense and lived by the motto “you can’t take it with you”. As a father, he always made sure he went above and beyond to provide for his family. Fond memories of vacations, beaches, amusement parks, concerts, festivals, dinners, movies and shopping are shared, especially by his daughter, who recalls all of the fun times they had as she grew up. Jim loved playing golf with his brothers, stepson and friends and was still trying to perfect his game. In his alone time he liked watching sports and animal shows on TV until he fell asleep, or as he would say, “I’m just resting my eyes”.Jim is survived by his daughter, Corrie Sayers and her fiancé, Job Vitale; his stepson, Paul Ward and his wife, Barbara; his brothers, William “Billy” Sayers and his wife Deborah; John “Jack” Sayers and his wife, Rosemary; and Robert “Bobby” Sayers; his sister, Patricia “Pattie” Bittman and her husband, Charles; his two grandchildren, Tyler and Samantha Ward; and a small army of nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held at Codey Funeral Home in Caldwell from 4pm to 8pm on Thursday June 8, 2023.
