Zachary was born April 24, 1987 in Rochester, NY, the son of Scott Arthur and Christine Fay Syrell Weston. After high school, we went on to receive an Associates Degree and worked as an electrician for Vindex in Dansville, NY. He married his wife, Shelby, in October 2022.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shelby Skye Weston of Seneca Falls, NY; children Brianna Weston, Brody Weston, Kaylee Weston, Mason Weston, and Kara Spinner; father Scott Arthur Weston of Elyria, OH; siblings Josh (Holly) Syrell of Ontario, NY, Andrea (Brian) Holly of Lyons, NY, Rebecca (Jeff) Besserglick of North Ridgeville, OH, and Bethany (Sheng Shao) Weston of Skaneateles, NY; and father and mother-in-law Stephen and Penny DiDuro of Waterloo, NY.

He is survived by his wife whom he married 62 years ago, Joyce L. Gordner; children Steven (Nadine) Gordner of Waterloo, NY, Julie Gordner of Greenville, TN, Brian (Peggy) Gordner of Wolcott, NY, and Melissa (Philip) Bragg of Waterloo, NY; grandchildren Rebecca Gordner, Michael (Hannah Davis) Bragg, Lynnette (A.J.) Gordner, Stephanie Gordner, Joseph (Felicia) Bragg, Steven (Kori) Gordner, and Kelly Gordner; great grandchildren Zachary and Alexander Gordner; sister-in-law Barbara Gordner; cousins; and many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn was born October 10, 1933 in Phelps, NY, the daughter of Elkannah and Ethel Young. After high school, she worked at the Greenwood's Foods in Waterloo, NY. Marilyn worked as an Assembler for Guaranteed Parts in Seneca Falls, NY, until her retirement. She married the love of her life, Frank Barner in 1957. Together they raised their six children and granddaughter, Angel.
From hosting Sunday dinner every single week, to the joy she had when spending time with her grandchildren, Marilyn's deep love for her family was clearly evident in her life. She also enjoyed baking, a passion that she passed on to many in her family. Her meals and presence will be deeply missed by all.
Marilyn is survived by sons Richard (Stephanie Kidman) A. Barner of Waterloo, NY and Frank E. Barner, III of Seneca Falls, NY; daughters Gloria (Jim) Foreman of Elm City, NC, Marilyn Hartzell of Waterloo, NY, and Karen McGhee of Mumford, TN; granddaughter Angel (Denny) Landis of Romulus, NY; siblings Irving (Shirley) Young of Port Gibson, NY, Ethel "Petey" Grahm of Palmyra, NY, and Alkannah (Cathy) Young of Phelps, NY; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her parents; son William Barner; grandson Jeffrey Scott Hagen; great-grandson Trenton Bahmann; great-great-grandson Oakley Barner; and 8 siblings.

James Louis Birch - March 28, 1949 - January 23, 2024

Obituary Preview: FARMINGTON — James Louis Birch, 74, passed away peacefully after a long, courageous, and hard-fought battle with cancer Tuesday (January 23, 2024) at his home, with his loving family by his side.
Jim was born March 28, 1949 in Waterloo, NY, the son of Paul and Emma Sorensen Birch. He was a 1967 graduate of Waterloo High School. Jim went on to receive an Associate's Degree in Business from Auburn Community College, and went to RIT for his Bachelor's Degree, though he stopped just short of receiving the degree. Jim began working in the automobile industry as a Comptroller, eventually retiring from Piehler Pontiac, Buick, GMC. He then started his own business, continuing to manage financials for multiple small businesses and personal clients, including former business partners.
Jim was a member of the Rochester Automobile Dealer Association, Walk to Emmaus, and LifeResults (formerly LifeStream). He was the founder of Nehemiah's Neighbors at the Canandaigua United Methodist Church. Additionally, Jim served his communities as a member of the Farmington and Waterloo Volunteer Fire Departments. On November 28, 2023, Jim celebrated 41 years of sobriety. Throughout the years, he was a strong influential sponsor and mentor to many around the world.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Kay Birch of Farmington, NY; son Christopher (Amy) Birch of Canandaigua, NY; daughter Jennifer (Brian) Manley of LeRoy, NY; brother Robert (Dot) Birch of Charlotte, NC; sisters Mary Lawthers of Geneva, NY and Janet (Clark Beasley) Krell of Auburn, NY; sister-in-law Judy Welkley of Wolcott, NY; grandchildren Keith Lord, Skye (Tyler) Berry, Briannah Birch, Brianna Gilliatt, Kassidy (Benjamin Fingar) Birch, Hayleigh Birch, Alexandra Manley; great-grandchildren Lilliana Berry, Thea Gilliatt, and Theodore Gilliatt; special aunt June McFall Pontius of Waterloo, NY; along with many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Emma Birch; brother Charles Birch; sister Dorothy Rapoza; nephew Shawn Clark; father and mother-in law Russell and Betty Pelow; and brothers-in-law Robert Lawthers, Russell Welkley and David Pelow.

George Edward Pettinger Jr. - December 23, 1932 - January 17, 2024

Obituary Preview: CANANDAIGUA —George Edward "Pete" Pettinger, Jr., 91, passed away peacefully Wednesday (January 17, 2024) at F.F. Thompson Hospital with his loving family by his side.
In keeping with the family's wishes, there will be no calling hours. The memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday (February 3, 2024) at the Geneva Presbyterian Church, 24 Park Pl, Geneva, NY 14456 with a reception to follow. Rev. Colin Pritchard, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Pete was born December 23, 1932 in Lake Placid, NY, the son of Catherine Capps and George Edward Pettinger, Sr. He was a 1952 graduate of Lake Placid High School. Pete was a nationally-ranked figure skater. Later, he became a corporal in the Army during the Korean War. An electrician by trade, and at one time owning his own business, Pete worked on everything from houses to skyscrapers to off-shore oil rigs, working during the latter part of his career as an Electrician Foreman with G & C Electrical of Columbus, NJ.
In November of 1975, he married the love of his life, Lois, whom he enjoyed spending time with at their home on Seneca Lake. His grilled steak, brushed with a blend of powdered sugar and yellow mustard, was a favorite request of his family. Pete was an avid fisherman who loved being with his family and pets, reading, listening to Big Band and Dixieland Jazz, discussing politics and history, and mixing martinis, but his favorite pastime was sitting in a chair on the beach with his wife and dogs.
Pete is survived by his loving wife, Lois Kay Thayer Pettinger; sons Craig Edward Pettinger, Russell Edward "Skip" (Kelly) Kincaid and Philip George (Asako) Pettinger; daughters Kathleen Jo "KJ" Deal and Meghan Kay (Teri) Kincaid; nieces Cathy Heller and Melissa Heller-Booth; nephew Rick Heller; his grandchildren Caroline, Jackie, Jeremy, Amanda, Kimber, Ryan, Alissa, Warren and Elizabeth; several great-grandchildren and great nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; sisters Mary (Bob) Heller and Cynthia (Bob) Strite; daughter Cheryl Ann Pettinger Solberg; son-in-law Jack E. Deal; and grandson Joshua Luke Deal.
