Ginnette enjoyed arts and crafts and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vance S. Hetrick, sons, Vance Hetrick Jr., of Buffalo Twp. and Christopher X. (Sarah) Hetrick, of Buffalo Twp., grandchildren, Elijah John and Hanna Marie Hetrick, brothers, Pedro Enrique and Pedro Pablo Muniz, of Ponce, Puerto Rico and by her sisters, Norma Muniz, of Houston Tx. and Adary Muniz, of Orlando, Fl.

Obituary Preview: Karen S. (Shoemaker) Malinoski, 68, of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 at her home. She was born September 16, 1955, in Natrona Heights to the late Harry H. and Louise C. (Helgert) Shoemaker. Karen was a 1974 graduate of Highlands High School. Karen retired from the Tribune Review with life long friendships. Karen was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer July 2020. Karen's strength was admirable! If she was experiencing pain, she would never admit it. Nothing would stop her from making memories, especially with her grandchildren. She enjoyed baking, family beach vacations, going for drives through the park, and celebrating the holidays with her family. Karen is survived by her daughter, Kasha Cambal, of Natrona Heights, grandchildren Kassidy and Kiersten Cambal, Christian and Niko Pearson, brothers, Kent L. (Josie) Shoemaker, of Mars, Clark R (Robin) Shoemaker, of Natrona Heights, Jay K. (Rose) Shoemaker, of Natrona Heights and Barry (Janet) Shoemaker, of Marienville and by several nieces and nephews. Maria A. Maliszewski - December 26, 1965 - April 15, 2024

Obituary Preview: Maria “Ria” A. Maliszewski, 58, of Brackenridge, PA, journeyed peacefully home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, April 15, 2024. She was the youngest, born December 26, 1965, of the late Henry “Hank” J. and Margaret “Marge” J. (Valasek) Maliszewski. Throughout her life, Maria was a member of the Catholic Church.
A 1983 graduate of Highlands High School, Maria pursued an Associate of Science Degree, graduating in 1987 from Community College of Allegheny County, Pittsburgh. From 1987 through 2021, she held various positions with several employers including Store Manager/Salesclerk, CoGos, Springdale; Director of Operations, Mailboxes Etc., Fox Chapel; Notary Public, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; Parts Manager/Charter Coordinator, Air Quest Aviation, Butler; and Administrative Assistant, Refining Process Services (RPS), Cheswick. Consistently maintaining a strong work ethic, she especially excelled at being of service “with a smile” to others.
While living life to the fullest, a range of Maria’s “simple pleasures” included a cup of freshly brewed great-tasting coffee, music/concerts, horse racing events, picnics, gardening, painting, scouting flea markets/estate sales, and preparing/serving tasty meals for family and friends to savor. One of her favorite long-time expressions has been “try it, you’ll like it”! She derived the most joy when others were happy.
Maria is survived by her siblings: Valerie Houle of Brackenridge, Michael Maliszewski (Bernadette Kabay) of Sarver, and Margaret “Margie” M. (Gary) Hoak of Springdale; nephews: Brandon Bucinski (Amy Heinzen) with Sebastian / Oscar Bucinski, and Dustin Houle; nieces: Amber Desiree (Bucinski), Stephanie and Melanie Houle; Uncle Walter and Aunt Marian Valasek, Aunt Dolores “Dolly” O’Connell, and Uncle Ed and Aunt Yvonne Jungle; many cousins; numerous cherished friends; and Joe, her “bff” for nearly 40 years, all of whom she dearly loved.
In addition to her parents, Maria was preceded by her maternal grandparents Michael and Caroline Valasek; paternal grandparents Alexander and Sophia Maliszewski; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephew Chad Bucinski.
Maria’s free-spirited, kind, generous, humble nature and warm “golden heart” will be remembered and missed by everyone touched by her love and light. Always a pleasure to be in her company, she simply was a beautiful soul in a “good human”.

Obituary Preview: Beverly (Drury) Frantz, 90, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Clark and Hilda (Negley) Drury. Beverly was a 1951 graduate of Tarentum High School and attended New Kensington Commercial School for 1 year. She also attended Penn State and was a graduate of Realtors Institute. Before she married she was a Musical Director for Empire Producing Co., in Kansas City, Mo. Beverly also worked in the offices of Allegheny Ludlum Steel in Brackenridge and Leechburg. Beverly was a member of the Eastern Star in Tarentum, the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), Stonecroft Bible Study and Disciple Bible Study at her church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Brackenridge. She loved to travel and was in every state, including Alaska and Hawaii, but particularly liked traveling to Europe. She worked for Howard Hanna Real Estate for many years and when she married Harry Frantz, she and Harry opened their own office, Howard Hanna Valley Real Estate in Slate Lick, which they had for 10 years until his death. Beverly is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Sid) Lawecki, son, Edward C. Alfonso and by her grandson, Joseph Lawecki. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Frantz, grandson, David Lawecki and by her sisters, Myrna Fascetti and Gertrude George.

Obituary Preview: Judith A. (Williamson) Jarosinski, 81, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Recently celebrating her 81st birthday, Judy was born on February 25, 1943, in Freeport. Daughter of the late Myron and Helen (Walker) Williamson, Judy was a 1961 graduate of Freeport High School, later attending Point Park Junior College for secretarial sciences. She spent her career in the healthcare field working in dental and medical offices in the local community. Judy was a devoted member of parishes Trinity United Methodist Church and Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church where she volunteered in the Heavenly Crafters and Kitchen Clubs and Vacation Bible School. Over the years, Judy served as an officer in Juniors Women’s Club, Highland Cavaliers, Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, to name a few. Her love for animals remained at the forefront, never turning one away, always helping, always caring. She is survived by her two children, Amy and J.J. (Tammy) Jarosinski and four grandchildren, Jace, Tia, Luke, and Kody. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald T. (Jerry) Jarosinski. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Valerie enjoyed crocheting, going to concerts and was an avid North Carolina Tar Heel and Pittsburgh Penguin fan. Obituary Preview: William D. McLeod, 72, of Tarentum, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his home. He was born August 11, 1951, in Miami, Florida to the late William and Hazel (Goza) McLeod. Before retiring, Bill was a Professor of Economics at Broward College in Florida and later worked as an Attorney at his practice in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in economics and received his masters in economics from the University of Miami and his Ph.D in economics from Florida State University. He also graduated with a law degree from the University of St. Thomas Law School and practiced law while continuing to teach. As a teacher, he thought it was important to develop personal relationships with his student that he mentored and made time to discuss economic issues with them. Bill kept up with legal issues after retiring and enjoyed discussing politics, watching old movies, reading and playing with his rescue dogs over the years. Bill adapted easily to the winter weather of western Pennsylvania after living in southern Florida. Bill is survived by his wife of 35 years, Antoinette (Gazarik) McLeod, sister Nancy (Louis) Sabia of Miami, Fla., brother-in-law, Richard (Lucy) Gazarik, niece, Katie Gazarik, nephew, Adam (Kellie) Gazarik and by his four great nieces. He also leaves many friends and former colleagues in Florida. A memorial for Bill will be announced at a later date. He enjoyed traveling and was a "Foodie": who enjoyed cooking. In addition to his parents, Dave is survived by his daughters, Crystal and Caylee Zembrzuski, his companion, Nicole Marshall, sister, Carol Minyon and her children, Laura and Matthew Minyon. David's work ethic was impeccable.  His passion, dedication, discipline and commitment in satisfying his customers is what made him happy and his number one priority in his business. David's customers came first and he always made sure they were satisfied with his work when the job was completed.

David P. Panach - December 29, 1949 - February 17, 2024

Obituary Preview: David Paul Panach 74, a lifelong resident of Natrona Heights Pennsylvania.
Born December 29,1949 to the late Paul and Dorothy Panach.
After a 16-year battle with multiple myeloma, Dave entered into Glory to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
Survived by his loving wife and care giver, Connie (Greene) Panach and daughter Aimee Panach, stepson, Richard Craft (Marcie) and grandsons Elijah and Evan Craft of South Buffalo Township; stepson, Jarad Craft (fiancée Khiara Spry), granddaughter Gabriella Lynn Craft of Jacksonville, Florida, brothers Keith Panach of Natrona Heights, Kevin Panach of Lower Burrell, sister Janet (Terry) Jones of Boston, Massachusetts and numerous nieces and nephews.
A special appreciation for Dave’s godmother, Aunt Rita Capoccioni age 93 and his longtime friend Bob Schleiden.
Dave was a 1968 graduate of Har-Brack High School where he was a three-year member of the High School Golf Team.
Dave attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Art Education 1973 and a Master’s Degree 1977 with an emphasis on jewelry creation. Edinboro University Art Department selected one of his jewelry creations for the University’s Permanent Collection.
Dave had a distinguished 36½-year career with the Freeport School District as an Art teacher. He worked 26½-years at the junior high school and 10 years at the high school. Dave’s students had their art displayed annually at the Allegheny Valley Hospital and various district art exhibits. While employed in the Freeport School District, he was instrumental in developing the district’s High School Golf program. In his 20-year tenure as the Golf Coach, the team achieved nine section titles with no losing seasons. In addition, Dave served for 20 years as the Assistant Coach for the Girl’s Basketball team. Dave’s success as a coach earned him an induction into the Armstrong County Hall of Fame. A highlight for Dave was an opportunity to work at the 1994 United States Open. Dave served with honor in the United States Army Reserves with the 307th Military Police. He was called into active duty during Desert Storm in the European Theater, where he served for 6½ months. He received the Army’s Achievement and Commendation Medals:
The Secretary of the Army has reposed special trust and confidence in the patriotism, valor, fidelity and professional excellence of D.P. Panach.
Sergeant First Class Panach demonstrated leadership potential and dedicated service to the United States Army Reserves.
Upon his return from his deployment in Desert Storm Dave was honored to be selected to represent the troops on the Salvation Army’s parade float.
At Edinboro University, Dave was an active member of the Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity where he enjoyed the lasting friendship with his fraternity brothers, with a special relationship with brothers Ernie Armor, Larry Caffro, Ken Ebel, Don Schrall, Vic Pilipovich, Bob Erickson and Chick Flora. Each October, “Nucks”, as he was affectionately named by his fraternity brothers, would enjoy going to the Alpha Phi Omega reunion to renew friendships and share stories from the ‘Boro’.
Dave was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting and fishing were two passionate pastimes. He had many successful hunting stories to share. From early spring to late fall you would find Dave tending to his productive garden. He had great success growing a variety of vegetables that he and Connie would preserve and share with others. Many winter months were enjoyed with his wife Connie in their ‘get-away’ home in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dave dedicated many hours using his handyman skills to support his church, Christ Community Fellowship in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The years of cancer treatments were often a challenge, but Dave’s faith and his caregivers prolonged his positive attitude. Dave found a great deal of peace in those difficult days because he had accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, where he found forgiveness and certainty of his eternal home. John 3:16,17

Brandi was a 1998 graduate of Highlands High School and also earned her Phlebotomy license. She was of the Catholic faith. Brandi loved her boys unconditionally and enjoyed crabbing and fishing with all the kids. She looked forward to their family vacations and enjoyed the holidays and decorating. In addition to her mother, Karen, Brandi is survived by her Fiance, Lamar Pearson, sons, Christian and Niko Pearson, sister, Kasha Cambal, of Natrona Heights and her two nieces, Kassidy and Kierstin Cambal.

Obituary Preview: Suzanne (Rolston) Martin, 82, formerly of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2024 .She was born to Donald M. Rolston and his wife, Freda P. Westlake in Natrona Heights on November 28, 1941.  She graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1959 and from Point Park Junior College with an Associate of Science degree in 1964.  Suzanne worked for the Office of The Army Surgeon General and Army Provost Marshal General in Washington, D.C. from 1964-1974.  During her time with The Army Surgeon General she was on loan to The Warren Commission which investigated the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.  During her tenure with The Provost Marshal General, she developed the first word processing center for the Department of the Army.  She returned to Natrona Heights in 1974 and worked for the Director of Central Blood Bank until 1976 and then worked for Dr. Roger K. Johnson from 1981-1991.  Suzanne was, at one time, Treasurer of Business and Professional Women, Treasurer, Pine Run Presbyterian Church, past Deacon at Natrona Heights Presbyterian Church and Grace Community Presbyterian Church, and past Teller of Pinecrest Condominium Association.
Suzanne is survived by her husband, Ronald G. Martin, of Scottdale, and a dear niece Suzanne Rourke Smith and family of Eagle River, Alaska.    In addition to her parents, Suzanne was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Rolston Rourke.

Mike was born on July 23, 1951 and was the son of the late Walter and Eleanor (Crytzer) Kalwarski. He grew up in Natrona, PA with the most amazing friends and was in the first graduation class of Highlands High School in 1969. After high school, he served in the United States Air Force from 1970-1974. He proudly held the role of Air Cargo Specialist, and everyone loved to hear stories from his years of service and world travels. Mike followed his military service as a welder at Allegheny Ludlum (ATI) in Brackenridge, PA for 35 years. After he retired in 2010, he continued to enjoy gathering with his life-long friends for parties and drinks. Mike had a big personality, and his family and friends were always entertained by his ability to have fun!
Mike married Carlene (Mazza) Kalwarski on April 27, 1989 and enjoyed supporting her home-based bakery, Ladylocks by Carlene. In addition to helping her with baking, he especially loved making deliveries. He always made her giggle when she would ask, “Did you get paid?", and he would respond, “Yes, it’s now my tip!”. They also loved sharing twelve wonderful years as snowbirds in Cocoa Beach with many friends from around the United States and Canada. He felt blessed to have them as his Florida Family.
Mike was a life member of the Brackenridge American Legion and PNA and a lifelong golfer. He loved the twice-a-year golf outings to Conneaut Lake with his buddies that spanned 45 years, and they loved him to the moon and back. He became a mentor to many and will be truly missed by all.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife of 35 beautiful years, Carlene (Mazza) Kalwarski; his two sisters, Debbie (the late, Terrence) Conroy of Tarentum, PA and Judy ( the late, James) Shelly of Simsbury, CT; his mother in law, Rosemary (Coward) Mazza; and the numerous brothers/sisters in law, nieces/nephews, and great nieces/nephews who all cherished "Uncle Mike".
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hillman Cancer Center, St. Margaret’s Hospital, and Canterbury Place’s Hospice Unit (Lawrenceville) for their amazing care and support.
Mike is so loved and will be dearly missed. A private ceremony to lay him to rest with full military honors will be held at National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA.

Survivors include her son, Richard A. Welsh, of Lower Burrell, a daughter Lori Kay (John) Welsh-Nury of Natrona Heights, four grandchildren, Shane R. (Claire) Welsh, Trevor E. (Haley) Welsh, Derrek Koblinsky, and Kevin Koblinsky, and a great grandson, Trevor (TJ) Jr. Welsh. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband of 53 years, Richard J. Joe began his career with PPG in Creighton in 1954 in the accounting department and held various positions there until he was transferred to Huntsville in 1970. He returned to the Creighton plant in 1986 as the Supervisor of Accounting and retired in 1988. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish Natrona Heights Campus and the former Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Joe was a past member of the O.L.P.H. church choir, Holy Name Society, Polish Heritage Association, St. Vincent de-Paul Association and the Save Our Church Organization. He enjoyed farming, showing his packing horse, flower gardening, playing bingo and everything Polish.  Joe is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank, Richard and Stanley Stokwisz and sisters, Violet Wygonik, Jane Wygonik, Mary Vnuk and Lucy Raszkowski.
