Mao Lee Thao - June 15, 1947 - September 18, 2016

Departed: 09/18/2016 (Milwaukee)
Obituary Preview: Mao Lee Thao,
The hardest time in anyone's life is when a loved one has passed away and leaves us lost, empty, and utterly in sorrow. On September 18, 2016, a very special person dear to us, Mao Lee Thao, at 69, has left our world and her loved ones behind. She is survived by her husband Xia Moua Thao, her son Lee Pao Thao, along with his wife Yang Yee Vang, and her 5 grandchildren, Natalie, Michael, Alex, Kalvin, and Ryan. She was a loving and committed mother and wife and enjoyed every moment spent with family. Mao adored and loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren. She was a hard worker and was passionate about gardening. Unfortunately, in 2015, she was diagnosed with a fast spreading Uterus Cancer. It was not before long, this cancer drained her of her youth and joyfulness; making her unable to do the things she loved and be with the people she loved being with. In January 2016, she attempted to fight her cancer with treatment and surgery (hysterectomy). After the procedure she showed some improvement and gradually regained her strength. Sadly, a few short months later, her efforts were to no avail. Her body became weak and fatigue and as the days went by, her energy gradually diminished. It was not until late August when she was admitted to Menomonee Falls Froedtert Hospital due to severe pain in her abdomen and was later confirmed that the cancer has spread to her stomach lining. Her condition became critical and immobile. All of her loved ones near and far came to visit her to give her love and support. She battled her cancer until her very last days and took her last breath at 6:00 pm on September 18, 2016. Mao passed away peacefully surrounded by all of her loved ones. No matter how much tears fell from our eyes, it could not fill the void she has left in our hearts. We will miss her smile, laughter, wisdom and kindness; there is no other who is like her. Mao, may you rest in peace in heaven and have no more suffering.

Chue Koua Yang - April 16, 1930 - June 22, 2016

Departed: 06/22/2016 (Milwaukee)
Obituary Preview: Chue Koua Yang,
Chue Koia Yang went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2016 at his home where he and his wife, Wang Vang, lived with his son, Nhia Kou Yang and his family, in Milwaukee. He knew that this day would come. He entered the world beyond with much anticipation and gladness. He believed in the promise that Jesus said, "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be.My Father will honor the one who serves me" (John 12:26; 14:1-3). Chue Koua Yang became Christian in December 1954 and had served God faithfully as a layperson/elder ever since.
He is survived by his wife, Wang Vang, five sons and daughter-in-laws (Nou Ue Yang and Lou T Yang, TsuKer Yang and Tang H Yang, Nhia Kou Yang and Sa V Yang, Xeng True Yang and Mai H Yang, Jong Ma Yang and Free W Lee-Yang) and one daughter and son-in-law (Mai Y Moua and Chong Shoua Moua), 34 grandchildren, five grandchildren daughter and son in-laws, and 8 great- grandchildren.
Chue Koua Yang was born on April 16, 1930, the youngest son of Jou Lu Yang and Cha Moua, of Hoib Xanang (Haav Xasnaas), Meung Yub (Nroog Moos Nyub), Louang Prabang (xeev Moos Loob), Laos (Nplogteb). He was preceded by his only brother, Chong Vang Yang, and all his sisters – Ying, Zang, Mao, Mang and Yer, and three sons: Kao, Keng and Nhia. He married to Wang Vang, daughter of Cha Chue Vang and Lue Yang, on August 1954 of Hoib Kiaj Nyoo (Haav Dlawm Nyuj), Pong Xang (Poos Xaas/Poos Xaab, Paagdlej Ntxhw), Louang Prabang (xeev Moo Loob). Together, they had married for 62 years.
During the rise of French-Indochina War when he was about 4 or 5 years old, his father took the family and settled in Phou Kong (Puj Koob lossis Roob Kaaj) where his father died. Under the leadership of his uncles, the family moved to Hoib Cas (Hoib Cab) near Phou Vieng, Xiengkhouang. At the age of 20 or 21 he served as a soldier for the French for two years, then as a village soldier from 1961 to 1969 under General Vang Pao. As the Vietcong (Vietnamese Communists) increasingly advanced into Laos territories, Chue Koua and his family began the endless trek of war from Phou Kong to Xieng Det, to Nong Ong (Paag Qaav), Nastis, Thong Noib, Kilometer 23rd, and finally Nang Kha until May 19 of 1975 to Nong Khai, Thailand. By the grace of God, the family escaped Laos to Thailand, then to the United States on May 18, 1978 in Santa Ana, California. On May 17, 1988 the family decided to reunite with relatives and moved to Milwaukee.
Chue Koua Yang will be missed by his wife, families, relatives and the church. In all his life after his marriage, he devoted to be a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ and set the example for his children. Pastors whom he had had the opportunity to serve as elder in the church included Pastor Joua Cai Her, Chang Ger Her, Tong Yang Lee, Yong Xeng Yang, Xai Ching Yang, La Xue Yang, Vang Hang, and Kang Chou Lee. He is a prayer warrior, a bond-servant of Christ, a wonderful husband and father and grandfather. He prayed at least three times a day. The children are in debts to his faith and prayers. He loved his families and relatives dearly and would always be there for them. He was never tired of serving God or his family until the day that he could no longer. May the Lord grant him the crown of life and eternal joy and peace in His heavenly kingdom.
