Erik Lee Scudder - October 01, 1979 - December 03, 2021

Departed: 12/03/2021 (Roseville)
Obituary Preview: Erik Lee Scudder born October 1st 1979 and left this earthly plain on December 3rd 2021. He was 42 years old, many knew him as Scud, or Scudder.
He is Survived by his wife Meghan Scudder, his Stepdaughter Sophie, his parents John and Christine Scudder, his brother Jacob Scudder (Lashanda), his sister Nicole Thompson (Howie) and his nieces and nephews (by order of oldest to youngest) Destiny, James, Madison, Jillian, Lilly, Skylar, Jason Jr., Kylie, Eli, and Lucy. He is also survived by his pets that meant so much to him Georgie, Suizie, Mickey, Knives, Meo, Poptart, Yolandi, Wednesday, Julie, Mally, Moe and Peach.
There is no doubt that to all of those who knew and loved Erik would say he was full of life and energy. Erik had such a love for life and most of all he loved LOVE. He spent much of his adult life working in various shops but it was roughly 10years ago when he found home at All Cote Powder Coating that he really found a job he loved. Erik was always so proud of the work that he did powder coating. His passion though, that was the weddings he officiated, he officiated approximately 52 weddings, he made sure every single one was unique and exactly what the bride and groom wanted it to be. Erik always went the extra mile when it came to his wedding speeches. Now to quote Norm Macdonald from his memoir Based on a True Story by Norm Macdonald “So this is my life then, these words on this screen? Well it doesn’t add up to much, just a series of facts and I suppose thats what a man’s life is, after all, but its more than that too. I mean it has to be doesn’t it?” To say it the best way I can the screen isn’t big enough. Erik’s love for life, his connection with animals and kids. He would help every person he could even if that meant giving all he had. His love for music, Marvel…and he had this kind of magic that when he touched something it would be enveloped in this essence that screamed that was Erik, Erik made that, Erik had a hand in THAT. He impacted so many lives for the better and so many of us are better off for having had him in our lives. We are the fortunate ones. So never forget “Scud Love’s You!” Let’s get Drunk!
