For over 22 years, he dedicated his professional life to Wyman Gordan as the Vice President of Human Resources, where his wisdom and compassion impacted the lives of many.

A man of diverse passions, Dave found joy in restoring old cars and indulged his need for speed on the racetracks. He also had a love for sports and enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, as well as passionately supporting his kids and grandkids in sports and activities. In his later years, he found solace in the simple pleasures of life, often found sitting outdoors with Buford by his side, observing the world with a cold diet coke, or iced tea in hand.

Beyond his hobbies, Dave's true legacy lies in his immense heart and his unwavering generosity. He was always there to lend a helping hand, putting the needs of others before his own, and his kindness knew no bounds.

Dave leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unyielding kindness. He is survived by his adoring children, Nathan Wade and wife Melanie, Dana Arnold and fiancé Stephen, and Tosha Perkins and husband Mike. His memory will forever be cherished by his grandchildren, Wesley Arnold, Tyler Wade, Olivia Johnes, Austin Wade, Augie Johnes, Madison Perkins, Dylan Perkins, and Grayson Perkins. He is also survived by his devoted siblings, Curtis Lewis Jr. and wife Gail, and James Lewis. His memory will be lovingly preserved by his former wife, Melva Lewis, and his cherished canine companion, Buford. Dave will be reunited in eternal peace with his parents, Curtis and Pauline Lewis.

In honoring Dave's wishes, a private family service will be held to celebrate his remarkable life. As we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the incredible journey he had and the everlasting impact he made on all of us. Tommy was predeceased by his father, Tommy Whitten. He is survived by his mother, Tina; sons, Turner and Parker; daughter, Presley; and sister, Amanda. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Tommy adored his children and was happiest when spending time with them. Tommy fought hard through many struggles but lived every day for his kids. He also loved his canine companions.

Tommy will always be remembered for his wide smile, dimples, and loud, contagious laugh. His presence brought light to his surroundings no matter the circumstance. Tommy touched the lives of others and was loved by many. He left this earth much too soon and will truly be missed.

Don's love for hard rock concerts was legendary among his friends and family. He was often the first to arrive and the last to leave, completely immersed in the music. Terry Lynn Davis leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is preceded in death by his father, Sammy Davis; spouse, Sidney Davis; daughter, Krissy Chamblee; and brother, Donny Davis. He is survived by his devoted mother, Bonnie Davis, and his beloved children: Chris Davis, Justin Montgomery and his wife Angela, Richard Sheppard and his wife Edna, Ashley Pinkert and her husband Dusty, Misty Gibbs, and Brandie Taylor. His brother, Charles Wayne Davis, also survives him, as do his cherished grandchildren: Tate Davis, Jenna Green, Kayle Dunn, Ashlyn Montgomery, Brayden Montgomery, D'Shaun Nowling, Damian Nowling, Austin Taylor, Cheyenne Taylor, and Eric Taylor. Terry also leaves behind his best friend, Sergeant Major Donald Knapp, who he met when working in Iraq. The pair had a friendship that was more like a brotherhood and spanned numerous years and did not waver in the slightest throughout Terry's illness. Terry also will be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends, all of whom were touched by his extraordinary life.

Chrisula loved God, her family, and her country through and through. She closely followed in the footsteps of the Lord and faithfully lived life following His teachings.

She was also an avid gambler, enjoying the thrill of slot machines. Her creative side was apparent in her love for crafting, often creating beautiful and unique pieces for her loved ones.

Ben grew up in Memphis and graduated from Raleigh Egypt High School. He was an accomplished athlete focusing on baseball, football, and throwing the shotput. He was also an avid and skilled fisherman. He could "out-fish" everyone.

Within a few years of graduation, Ben moved to Houston, Texas where he met and married Mary, the love of his life. They enjoyed many trips, outings and created many beautiful memories together. Ben was very involved with his church and the weekly men’s Bible study. He was a positive spiritual influence on many men with whom he enjoyed fellowship. Ben will be remembered with great love, admiration, and fondness by those who knew him and whose life he impacted.

Ben lived with a servant’s heart. He never met a stranger that did not believe how much he loved the Lord. Ben did not fear death and he will spend eternity in the arms of the Lord.

He was predeceased by his father and stepmother, Betty Jo Buyer and by two stepbrothers, Joe Vernon and Steve Buyer. Ben is survived by his wife, his mother, brothers Nate Buyer, Charles Buyer, and Matt Buyer and by a sister, Linda Speck. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews – all of whom Ben regularly and consistently prayed for.

Ben was always full of zest and never did anything half-heartedly. Early in his career, he was in sales, then transitioned to the transportation/freight brokerage business. His final endeavor was a handy-man business, which he dearly loved. He genuinely loved to serve others. His faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was what guided Ben in all his dealings with others. “When my life was fainting away, I remembered the Lord, and my prayer came to you, into your holy temple.” Jonah 2:17

The family invites you to join them for a time of fellowship and refreshments with a light meal furnished at the Worship Center of Sharpstown Baptist Church (Building 2) on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
