Obituary Preview: Joseph Thomas Chambers, 77, of Yatesboro, passed away on April 26, 2024 at Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Kittanning.
He was born on February 14, 1947 to Robert V. and Rose (Burdziak) Chambers in Yatesboro. Joe worked as a R&P Coal Company and was a Chef at numerous places. He was full time story teller. Joe was a member of the Dayton Oil Coffee and Scratch Off Ticket Club. He loved fishing, making lures, and doing carvings and etchings.
Joe is survived by his woman of 33 years, Shelley Bonomolo; six sisters, JoAnn Booth of Galion, OH, Norma Jean George of New Port Richey, FL, Donna Galentine of Home, Betty Houser of SC, Mary Shirley of W. Kittanning, and Eva Burns of Michigan; two brothers, Richard Chambers of Florida, NY and Charles Chambers of Jefferson, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Chambers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

He was born on August 25, 1936 to Ralph and Elizabeth (Orr) Prugh in Atwood, PA. Allen worked as a Meat Cutter for Elderton Market.
He was a member of the Gastown Reformed Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking photographs.
Allen is survived by four sons, Scott (Brenda) Prugh of Indiana, Eric (Kellie) Prugh of Kittanning, Brad (Pam) Prugh of Schnecksville, and Chad (Marcy) Prugh of Kittanning; four daughters, Robin (Kim) Prugh of Indiana, Kim (Jim) Hileman of Shelocta, Jennifer (Tom) Beatty of Clymer, and Vivian (Dave) Vallies of Hamburg; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 67 years, Maxine L. (Meyers) Prugh; brothers, Harry, Blair, Roy, Arthur, Ernest and David Prugh; sisters, Martha Reefer, Verda Snyder, Edna Fairman, Mary Gress, and Elsie Kinley; and a grandson, Tyler McPherson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 27, 2024, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA with funeral services to immediately follow.

Edward William Harper - March 24, 1933 - April 21, 2024

Obituary Preview: Edward William Harper, 91, of Sagamore died on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at his residence.
He was born March 24, 1933, the oldest of five children to William Edward and Evelyn Marie (Blank) Harper in Homestead.
His family moved to Indiana, PA in the early 1940s, where he graduated from Indiana High School in 1952. Ed entered into the Army in 1953, on his birthday, and completed airborne training as a paratrooper.
Ed graduated from Allegheny Technical Institute with an Associate Degree in Industrial Electronics and worked for the RCA Computer Division in Pittsburgh. It was later taken over by Sperry, which later merged into the Unisy Corporation. For many years he worked in Toledo, OH and eventually became Field Manager. He later transferred back to Pittsburgh and lived in Plum Boro.
In the 1980s, Ed purchased land in Sagamore near his sister and brother-in-law and built a log home and garage where he enjoyed his retirement.
Ed was a faithful member of the St. Mary, Mother of God Church in Yatesboro and before that the Sacred Heart Church in Sagamore.
He is survived by brothers, Walter (Janet) Harper of Home and Robert (Susan) Harper of Forest Hills. He was a beloved uncle to numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Zaczyk; brother, James Harper; brother-in-law, Eugene Zaczyk; and a sister-in-law, Shirley Harper.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 25, 2023 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., Rural Valley. Parting of prayers will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2024, 11a.m. at the St. Mary, Mother of God Church, Yatesboro with Rev. Juanito G. Lozano as Celebrant.
Burial will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
The family wishes to recognize the help and special care of Ed by his niece, Monica Goldstrohm in recent months.

Ronald enjoyed hunting, fishing, classic rock music and watching Pittsburgh sports. Ronald loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Patricia (Gally) Riexinger; two sons, Adam (Kristin) Riexinger of Kittanning and Ryan (Anna) Riexinger of Yatesboro; daughter, Jennifer (Donnie) Schrecongost of Dayton; grandchildren, Anna Shrecongost, Sullivan Riexinger, Ellie Schrecongost, Bennett Riexinger, Lillian Riexinger, Eden Schrecongost, and Matalyn Riexinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

He worked as a Youth Counselor at Summit Academy. Matthew was know for his cooking and being a chef. He enjoyed fishing, but most of all loved spending time with his daughter and hanging out with his nephews and nieces.
Matthew is survived his fiancée, Tiffany Orr and their daughter, Remy; sister, Pamela Koncki of Beaver; four nephews, Michael Mason, Teagan Rupert, Izaah Jones, and Gabriel Jones; two nieces, Jade and Gemma Jones; great-nephew, Samwise Mason; and great-niece, Molly Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Matthew Mason.
A memorial service is being planned and will be held at a later date.

She was born on November 25, 1960 to Roger and Twila (Klingensmith) Hanna in Punxsutawney.
Ruth was a 1978 Class Valedictorian at New Bethlehem Wesleyan Methodist School. She worked as a waitress for the former Country Sampler in Smicksburg.
Ruth had a flair for the arts whether it be crafts, needlepoint, cross stitch, drawing, or writing. She was an excellent cook and had quick wit and sense of humor. Ruth enjoyed sharing a cup of coffee with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a loving mother and devoted sister.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Amber Stowers of Punxsutawney; son, Dakota Stowers of Punxsutawney; sister, Rebecca (Kevin) McIntire of Dayton; two brothers, Michael (Shawna) Hanna of Dayton and Dave Hanna of Kittanning; and 4 nephews, 3 nieces, 2 great nephews, and 2 great nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ronald "Smokey" James - March 17, 1940 - March 07, 2024

He was born on March 17, 1940 to Lisle and Evelyn (Albert) James in Bolivar.
Smokey worked in construction for the Laborer's Union Local 952 for 50 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Union Lutheran Church.
Smokey was just one of the many nicknames that were earned by Ronald throughout the years. Smokey was an active member of the community having served as a fireman for 62 years with the Rural Valley Fire Department where he called bingo and enjoyed helping with the chicken bbq fundraising events. He was a member of the Ding A Lings Sports Club for over 35 years. Smokey enjoyed riding his scooter and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Barbara (Greene) James; four daughters, Sherry (Mike) Mikita of Rural Valley, Kathy (Doug) Lucas of Rural Valley, Paula (Rob) Lucas of Rural Valley, and Renee (Sean) Mathews of WA; grandsons, Jesse Mikita and his fiancee, Eden Cochran, Mikey Mikita and his wife, Jessi, Gavin and Tracen Mathews, Tyler Graham and his significant other, Jessica Zimmerman, and Robbie Lucas; granddaughter, Leah Lucas; great-grandchildren, Sutton Mikita, Calvin Moser, and an additional great-grandchild on the way; sister, Gaynelle Roush; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

John’s life revolved around his cherished family; his two sons, Frank and Bryan (Tut), were his pride and joy, and his grandchildren Toby and Mackenzie brought immense happiness into his life, He was proud to be an American and a veteran serving in the Army.
For over four decades John devoted himself to the telecommunications industry managing operations across three states with unwavering passion and dedication. Beyond his professional pursuits, John found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including hunting, fishing, a love for golf, music playing his guitar, and rooting for the Steelers.
Known for his magnetic personality John never met a stranger, effortlessly connecting with people through his quick wit and sense of humor. He leaves behind a legacy of love laughter and unforgettable memoires.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Fran, his son Frank, daughter in-law Misty and grandchildren Toby and Mackenzie, his brother Ed(Beverly), and his nieces and nephews and extended family. Celebrations of his Life will be held in both Florida and Pennsylvania to honor and remember the remarkable life of John H Kuhns.

Levi Spencer McMillen - May 14, 1992 - February 22, 2024

Obituary Preview: Levi Spencer McMillen, affectionately known as Levi to his friends and family, passed away suddenly on February 22, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on May 14, 1992, in Greenville, South Carolina, Levi was a beacon of light to all who knew him. His unexpected departure in Greer, South Carolina, has left a void that can never be filled.
Levi was the cherished son of Colleen Joy Williams and her husband, Billy Ray Williams, and Joel Duane McMillen and his wife, Pam. He loved his brothers Justin Duane McMillen and Tyler David McMillen. His life was enriched by the deep bonds he shared with his best friends, Margaret Ellen Hindman, affectionately known as Ellie or Mochi, and Heather Marie Page. Levi was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Spencer Castle Jr. and Edna Jane Castle, as well as James Duane McMillen and Joanne McMillen. His uncle, Kerry Spencer Castle, also preceded him in passing.
Levi's professional life was marked by his dedication and hard work. He took pride in his role as a Material Handler for an auction house and showed the same commitment and attention to detail as a Road Flagger. His colleagues will remember him as a reliable and friendly presence, always ready to lend a hand or share a smile.
A man of many interests, Levi was happiest when he was outdoors, working with his hands. He had a profound appreciation for the natural world, and star gazing was one of his favorite activities. It was under the vast, open sky that Levi felt most at peace, contemplating the universe's mysteries and the beauty of the cosmos.
Those who knew Levi would describe him as loving, thoughtful, and friendly. He had a way of making everyone around him feel special and valued. Levi's kindness and generosity of spirit were evident in every interaction, and his absence will be deeply felt by the many lives he touched.
Levi's life was a testament to the power of love and friendship. He nurtured his relationships with care and was always there for his loved ones in times of need. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we say goodbye to Levi Spencer McMillen, we celebrate the time we had with him and the joy he brought into our lives. He will be profoundly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. Levi's memory will be cherished forever, a reminder of the love and light he shared so freely with the world.

Jerry had a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile on his face. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father, and brother and a loyal friend.

Bob had a green thumb whether it be gardening or raising roses. At one time, he had 55 roses that he tended to. Bob will be remembered for his beautiful smile and warm personality.
Bob is survived by his loving companion, Betty Brice of Sagamore; daughters, Belinda (Tom Flickinger) Weaver of Beyer, Susan (Mike Hicks) Erb of Marion Center; step-daughter, Donna (Gary) Shaffer of Clymer; step-son, Lester Erb, Jr. of KY; step-brother, Ray (Linda) Weaver of Indiana; grandchildren, Don, Jake, Heather, Lewis, Pam, Melissa, Jennifer, Gary, and Les; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Becky, Melissa, Sam, Danny, Jr., Tori, Jacob, Liz, Stephanie, and Alex.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice Weaver who died February 5, 2004; sons, Danny and Ricky Weaver; grandson, Timmy Erb, Jr.; brother, Henry Weaver; and a sister, Hazel Haggerty.
Visitation will be on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with an additional hour of visitation prior to services, with Pastor Ken Branan, officiating.
Burial will take place in the St. John's Cemetery.

He was a member of Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Church, where he was an Elder and Sunday School Teacher. Ron also was a member of the Armstrong Co. Mounted Posse, Foothills Horse and Pony Association, Delta Theta Sigma Fraternity (Agriculture) and the Dayton Sportsmen Club. He was the Class Advisor for the Future Farmers Association at Redbank Valley. Ron was very involved in the Sports Programs at Redbank Valley - was on the Football Coaching staff for 14 years, head Jr. high Football Coach for 2 years, Head Jr. High Boys Basketball Coach, Head Jr. High Girls Basketball Coach, Head Jr. High Track Coach, Head Jr. Varsity Girls Basketball Coach and Head Varsity girls Basketball Coach. Ron also was the Head Basketball Manager for Penn State for 2 years.
Ronald is survived by his step-daughter, Beth Crawford (David) Lott and grandson Jacob; step-son Michael Crawford and his children, Benjamin and Abigail; and his friends and caregivers, Cristianna and Catherine Hall, Doug Skalko, and Eric Copeland.
Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home.
Burial will take place in the Dayton Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery.

He was born on May 5, 1944. to Carl and Elsie (Sharp) McLean in Indiana, PA.
Wayne grew up on the McLean Family Farm and continued his love of farming there throughout his entire life. He loved to spend time in his garage or the barn and was always fixing things or taking care of his pet cows. He always had a collie dog and will be missed by his buddy, Scout. He graduated from Shannock Valley High School in 1963. Initially, he was employed at McCreary Tire and Rubber Company. He then pursued his employment with R&P Coal Company and retired after approximately 23 years of service. After his retirement from the coal mines, he worked as an equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers until his final retirement. He enjoyed playing hide-and-seek, coloring, and riding his side by side around the farm with his granddaughter, Angel, with whom he shared a special bond. He loved spending time with all his grandchildren. He enjoyed visiting with his lifelong friends, Ed, Roger, and Sam. He was known by many as a regular customer at the local restaurants. Wayne will be remembered as a hardworking and loving husband, father, and Papa.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Connie (Cribbs) McLean of Atwood; son, Richard McLean of Atwood; two daughters, Susan (Kirby) DeVaughn of Plumville and Kathy (Michael) Keirn of Templeton; granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Madison, and Angel; and sister, Sara McLean of Shelocta.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc, Rural Valley, PA. Funeral services will immediately follow with Pastor Jason Williams, officiating and Roger Frick offering the eulogy.

Obituary Preview: On January 22, 2024, Glorianne Marie Martin passed away peacefully in her sleep. Born to Anthony and Letizia (Anne) Coccia in Yatesboro, PA, Glorianne was 80 years old when she died.
Glorianne attended the DePaul Institute for the Deaf in Pittsburgh, PA through high school. Because she boarded at school, her bonds with the other children were very strong; they became a family of life-long friends. On May 6, 1967, Glorianne married Dale Patrick Martin and moved to Michigan where she had 3 children and began a career at the U.S. Post Office.
Glorianne was loved by everyone, radiating joy wherever she went. Even though she battled multiple myeloma cancer for the last seven years of her life, you wouldn’t have known it. Always with a smile on her face, she never let on that she wasn’t feeling well. We will always remember that she loved her shiny jewelry and the color blue.
Glorianne is survived by her husband, Dale, who took very good care of her throughout her cancer journey. She is also survived by her three children: Tony Martin of Saint Clair Shores, MI; Ann Marie Meyaard of Hudsonville, MI; and Cathy Stoner of Canton, MI. And her six grandchildren: Nicholas Stoner, Nicole Frantangelo, Jacob Martin, Zachary Stoner, Alexander Lambert and Annelise Martin. And her three great grandchildren: Julian Martin, Cameron Frantangelo and Cassandra Stoner.
A Remembrance Service will be held at the St. Mary’s Mother of God’s Chapel on June 22, 2024, 11:00 a.m., followed by a luncheon hosted by the family. Kindly RSVP to johnglorianne@gmail.com

Florence leaves behind to cherish her memory; one daughter, Debbie Brown of Creekside, PA, three grandsons, Kevin (Heidi) Harkleroad of West Jordan, UT, Greg (Angela) Brown of Creekside, and Shawn Brown of Creekside; three great-grandsons, Bradley, Kamren and Ryan Harkleroad; two great-granddaughters, Abby Brown and Kaylee Harkleroad; and one brother, Jack (Nancy) Walker of Dayton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blaine R. Harkleroad in 2020; her son, Randy Harkleroad in 1983; her sister, Betty Stewart; and a brother, Bob Walker.
