Obituary Preview: Paula "Kaz" Kazmierski, 46, of Clifford Township, PA, died peacefully at home on Friday, December 29, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

She was a devoted wife and mother who was loved and adored by her husband, Allan Kazmierski and her two daughters, Alesha and Jordan.

Paula attended Carbondale Area and Mountain View School Districts. She was an active member of her community, appreciated by all who had the privilege of meeting her. Paula loved with all her heart, which was shown daily by her generosity to everyone she met.

The family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses of Delta Medix, Thomas Jefferson Hospital, Allied Services Hospice, with special thanks to Dr. Kumaria and the Greenfield Township Fire Company for all of their generosity and support. They also want to thank everyone who donated, supported and attended the benefit held for Paula at the Greenfield Township Fire Company this past July, with a special thank you to all who volunteered at the benefit.

To honor Paula's wishes, she was cremated and a private family memorial will be held on a future date at the family's convenience.

Dorothy Bell - November 14, 1930 - December 18, 2017

Obituary Preview: Dorothy Bell, 87, of Greenfield Township, PA, died Monday morning, December 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Bell, Jr. in 2009.

She was the youngest and last surviving first generation, U.S. born child of the late Joseph and Paraska "Theresa" Herishen.

Dorothy, a classy lady who loved her family and her lifelong home at Newton Lake, was a master baker, a talented cook of Russian traditional dishes, and a seamstress of the highest talent. She made many exquisite quilts. As a young woman she was a member of the Holy Ghost Byzantine Catholic Church choir in Philadelphia, PA. She lived for 8 years in Boston and worked in a bakery. Summers were always spent at the Bell home at Newton Lake, and in 1972 the family moved permanently to Newton Lake. She worked as a seamstress for 15 years at Gentex in Simpson, PA. She was a fun-loving grandmother to her three grandchildren, and spent many long summer days with them, fishing, feeding them lime jello, and playing rummy into the evenings. She had a deep personal relationship with God.

She is survived by two children: George Bell and wife Jeanne, of Snowshoe WV, and Patricia Bell and husband Robert Harkins of Newton Lake, PA; three grandchildren; Graham and Kristi Bell of California, Clay Bell and fiance Keavy Johnson of Colorado, and Eleanor Bell of West Virginia; two great grandchildren: Logan and Norah Bell, and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers: John, Michael, and Joseph Herishen; her sisters: Anna Herishen, Helen Greskoff, Theresa Galbraith, and Mary Wanushek.

Reunited at last with her beloved husband George, we will always love and miss her. Rest in God's arms, Dorothy.

As per Dorothy's request she was cremated and a private family service will be held at a future date.

Born in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Jacob and Barbara Samuels Haser.

Bob was a 1958 graduate of St. Patrick's High School, West Scranton and retired from the paint department at Lockheed Martin in Archbald, PA. He enjoyed doing bodywork on cars and especially had a talent for pin striping vehicles. He also had an avid collection of model cars which he enjoyed assembling. Bob's favorite pastime was frequenting the casinos and watching his favorite lifelong teams the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and his many domestic and feral cats.

He is also survived by three sons: Gary Haser and wife Renee of Dunmore, PA, Joseph Haser of Greenfield Township, PA and Glenn Haser of Phoenixville, PA; two grandsons: P.J. and Andy; Many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Marie Williams, Katie Evans and Peggy Tiberi White.

Friends called Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 5-7 p.m. at Shifler-Parise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 18 Airport Road, Clifford, PA.

She is also survived by three sisters: Cathleen Mata, Crissy Mata and Patricia Dickinson all of Scranton, PA; two brothers: Martin Mata of Waymart, PA and Theodore Burke of Florida.

Born May 22, 1922 in Honesdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Ethel Oliver Rosemier.

May was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. Although she lost her eye in an accident as a child and was legally blind, she never let that slow her down in life and accomplished all of her hopes and dreams. She enjoyed farming, loved animals and attending church before her recent years in the nursing home. At the nursing home, she enjoyed bingo and the many musical events held for residents. She had a great love for Christian music.

She is survived by a daughter: Shirley Barrows; son: Mickey T. Barhite; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister: Marie Kemp; brother: Arthur Rosemier and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter: Eleanor White; son: Martin P. Barhite; two grandsons: David White and Thomas Barhite; granddaughter: Robin Piasecki; brothers: Earl and John Rosemier; sisters: Charlotte Decker and Emma Hiller.

Born October 22, 1949 in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose Lee Karwan.

Sharon was a graduate of Lakeland High School and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Carbondale. She worked years ago at Bond's Jewelers, Carbondale and then at the St. Joseph's Center, Carbondale, for 25 years prior to being semi retired.

Sharon was a kind and generous person who always saw the good in everyone. She had a heart of gold, willing to help anyone and enjoyed making special meals on birthdays for anyone in her family. She will be deeply missed by her family, especially the apple of her eye, her grandson Anthony, III. and her faithful friend, Kane, her cat.

She is survived by two sons: Anthony "Cheezie" Aileo, Jr. and wife Maribeth of Jessup, PA and Jay Aileo and wife Cyndi of Simpson, PA; two grandchildren: Anthony Aileo, III. and Gary Nestor, both of Jessup, PA; two step granddaughters: Summer Klikus and Kim Cost, both of Carbondale, PA; three brothers: Christopher Karwan and wife Paula of Vandling, PA, Stanley and Richard Karwan, both of New York: mother-in-law: Betty Anschuetz of Carbondale, PA; three sisters-in-law: Betty Aileo and husband Patrick Kennedy of Clarks Green, PA, Cindy Carney and husband Joseph of Phoenixville, PA and Mary Aileo of Carbondale, PA.

She was preceded in death by an aunt: Betty "Lizzy" Cost and sister-in-law: Carrie Aileo.

Born April 11, 1941 in Scranton, PA, Audrey's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed many family and holiday traditions, especially during the Christmas season. She loved trips to New York City for shopping and the theater. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cross word puzzles, watching old movies, writing calligraphy and trying new seafood recipes to share with her family. She was a parishioner of S.S. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Avoca, PA, for more than 40 years.

The family would like to thank, Dr. Sheerer, Dr. Shetty, Dr. Sati, Dr. Kabok, Dr. Brown and the entire staff of the Moses Taylor Hospital for their kindness and compassionate care shown to Audrey.

She is also survived by two children: Michael A. Geron, Jr. and wife Lisa of Lenox Township, PA and Renee Geron and fiancé Jack Clawges of Hatfield, PA; one granddaughter: Hannah Geron, whom she absolutely adored and was the light of her life; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters: Eleanor Kanetski and Joanne Kowalski.

Born March 6, 1973 in Scranton, PA, he was the son of Evelyn Bruno Cosklo of Crystal Lake, PA, and the late Andrew J. Cosklo, Jr.

Willie was a 1991 graduate of Carbondale Area High School and had been employed in the masonry, landscaping and restaurant industries. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Willie liked shooting pool and was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was affectionately known by his family and friends as "the wave." Willie was also a proud member of the Fell Township Fire Police.

He was a devoted son to his mother, with whom he resided and a proud and loving uncle to his two nieces.

He is survived by his siblings: David Cosklo and wife Kimberly and their children, Alyssa and Megan all of Crystal Lake, PA, Andy Cosklo of Olyphant, PA, Donna Fry of Simpson, PA, Patti Brown of Madisonville, PA and Debbie Orme of Crozet, VA; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born on September 10, 1958 in New Jersey, son of the late Anthony Tatarka, Sr. and Dorothy Wataha Tatarka. Scott was an avid sports enthusiast and was most happy when he was out fishing, whether on the boat with his nephew Kenny or in the back yard with his daughters and grandson. Scott was raised in Woodbridge NJ and upon graduation in 1978 moved to south Florida to work with his brother, Tony where he retired from in September 2016.

Scott was an amazing father and husband. He went above and beyond to make sure his family was well taken care of. Even when it seemed impossible he somehow made their desires come true.

He is also survived by two daughters: Breann Tatarka, of Lenox, PA and Heather Tatarka, of Cocoa FL; a grandson: Collin Tatarka; a brother, Anthony Tatarka, Jr. and his wife Elaine, of FL; a sister-in-law: Jane, of NJ; nieces and nephews: Kenny, Kevin and Kim, all of FL, Ronnie, Jody and Jerry, all of NJ, and Gary of FL.; a cousin, who was like a sister, Laurie Holifield of CA.

Scott was also preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law: Ronny and Pitsy Tatarka; brother and sister-in-law: Jerry and Grace Tatarka; and brother: Ralph.

The family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Paradise Inn, 184 Route 106, Greenfield Township, PA.

Born March 23, 1943 in Carbondale, PA, he was the son of the late John and Frances Domiano Auditori.

Joe was a graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School, Carbondale, and had been employed for over 30 years as a produce manager for several grocery stores in Clifford, Carbondale and Honesdale. His true passion was music and he was a 17 year member of Joey Jay and Company, a popular area band that played many local weddings and parties.

Joe enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, loved classic cars and had a vast collection of miniature classic car models. He was voted most artistic in high school and his talent was evident in his music, as well as, his ability to decorate both the inside of his home and the designing of his outdoor landscaping. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

He is also survived by two daughters: Alissa Tiel and husband Seth of Honesdale, PA and JoAnn Blackledge and husband Paul of Blakely, PA; two grandchildren: John Joseph and Molly Rose Blackledge; three sisters: Susie Donato of Bloomingdale, NJ, Anna Auditori and Dolly Davis and husband Jim all of Carbondale, PA; several nieces and nephews; his beloved grand dog: Winnie.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers: Anthony and Nicholas Auditori; one sister: Mary Auditori.

Prior to his retirement, Sam was simultaneously employed as both a self employed dairy farmer and at Doyle and Roth in Simpson, PA. He had a special place in his heart for animals and always opened his home to strays. Sam had a vast knowledge about John Deere tractors and enjoyed restoring them. He will be deeply missed by his faithful companion, Bailey.

Dolly's true love was her family whom she treasured, especially her grandchildren who brought great joy to her life. Her family and friends are left with heavy hearts at her passing.

Her greatest joy in life was her daughter, Jessie, whom she thought the world of and lived every day for. Paulette was well loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed. Her passing leaves all who knew her with heavy hearts.

Special thanks is extended to Paulette's best friend, Lisa Barrett for being there for her through every step of her illness. Her husband and daughter are extremely grateful for Lisa's support and guidance during such a difficult time.

Born in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Gilhool and Catherine Hughes Gilhool. She was a 1961 graduate of Ben Franklin High School and a 1964 graduate of St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She was a member of Saint Rose of Lima Parish.

Jeanne had lived in Hazelton, Muncy, and Allentown before returning to Jermyn. Her greatest joy, along with being with all of her loved ones, was raising her son, Walter (Gator). Gator, who has special needs and is soon to be 47 years old, was not expected to live past one year. He is the glue and love that holds the family together. Jeanne's other strengths are her faith, nature, and life itself. She loved raising peacocks for years and cheering for her Scranton RailRiders.

Also surviving are her three daughters from Jermyn, Maria Miller and her husband Sherwood, Laurie Steffee and her husband Greg, and Theresa Sears and her husband Marc; and one son, Walter Vosefski (Gator).

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristen Hahn and her husband Jeffrey, Kaitlyn Gambone and her husband Francis, Matthew Miller and his wife Rachael, David Steffee, Sean Sears, and Brianna Sears; and four great grandchildren, Anna Miller, Carson Hahn, Dakota Steffee, and Alex Steffee.

She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Jack, Paul, William, and Harold; and her sister, Ann Gilhool Howe. She is survived by two brothers, Francis X Gilhool and Ann, Kieran Gilhool and JoAnn; three sisters, Mary Vosefski, Florence McCarty and husband Thomas, and Grace Bognatz and husband Don.

He is survived by his parents; by his brother, Michael J. Orazzi and his sister-in-law, Anne Karolyi, of Torrington, Conn., many cousins, and an extended network of friends in three states that he considered his adopted family.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, John and Stella Hemak of Jermyn, PA, and his paternal grandparents, Dante Sr. and Mary Orazzi of Greenfield Township, PA.

Passionate about life, Dante, an avid outdoorsman, lived with exuberance, whether cutting trees on his family's property for Christmastime fires, or relishing his love of healthy dishes he loved to cook and share. He was a natural behind the bar, a top-shelf cocktail mixer, whether at his family's Blue Ridge Inn or in the years he worked at DV8 in Salt Lake City. He loved hiking and nighttime walks in all the places he loved in Utah, in Idaho and in Greenfield Township. He will be remembered as a man with a big heart for those closest to him.
