A native of Washington County, she was born on August 24, 1939 to the late John William and Myrtle Curtsinger Cheatham.
She was a member of the Brush Grove Baptist Church, a retired employee of the General Electric Company and was a homemaker.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ervin “Tiny” Hill on October 29, 1994, her daughter, Pam Cheser on September 10, 2011, a brother, J.F. Cheatham on March 13, 1994 and two sisters, Josephine Ann Baker on January 10, 1965 and Mattie Hill on April 11, 2020.
Survivors include three sons, David “Rocky” Hill (Linda) of Harrodsburg, Dennis Hill (Tina) of Springfield and Tony Hill (Connie) of Willisburg; a brother, Ricky Cheatham (Cathy) of Willisburg and two sisters, Jean Trent of Willisburg and Susie Baker (Ricky) of Danville; nine grandchildren including Tina Thompson and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 23rd at the Anchor Of Hope Church with Rev. Ricky Cheatham and Rev. Buck Cheatham, officiating,
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Hill, Joe Hill, Jacob Hill, Landon Hill, Matthew Hill, Lincoln Hill, Jackson Gillespie, William Thompson and Corban Durbin.
Visitation will be after 4:00 Friday at the Anchor Of Hope Church.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Rudolph Martin Scott on January 3, 1998; two daughters-in-law, Donna Scott on December 28, 2016 and Mary Jane Scott on July 16, 2018 and one sister, Joyce Sutton on January 11, 2020.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Scott of Springfield and Gary Scott of Mackville; two granddaughters, Lara Lee Yates (John) of Springfield and Tina Weldon of Perryville; four great grandchildren, John Isaac Yates, Jacob Thomas Yates, Lance Martin Weldon and Victoria Scott Weldon; two sisters, Elaine Hatchett and June Shewmaker of Mackville and one brother, Carlton Shewmaker of Mackville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 21st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Barry Harmon and Rev. Nelson Reynolds, officiating.
Burial will be in the Peter Cemetery at Mackville.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Billy Dean Warner on April 14, 2011 and four brothers, Victor W. Satterly, Sr. on May 15, 1986, Milton Satterly on August 19, 1980, LaVern Satterly on April 20, 1984 and Bernard Satterly on January 26, 2019.
Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Tingle (Mike); two grandsons, Kyle Tingle (Melissa) and Corey Tingle (Samantha) of Springfield and seven great grandchildren, Jacob, Elliott, Blakely and Coby Tingle, Jordan, Jenna and Jaxx Pratt.

He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 1, 1926 to the late Charles Patrick and Lillie Allen Cubine.
He was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church, a Navy Veteran of World War II and a retired barber. Paul began his career as a barber in San Diego, California while he was still serving in the U.S. Navy. He then moved to Blue Springs, MO and ran a barber shop before moving back to his hometown of Louisville where he owned and operated a barber shop for many years.
Preceding him in death was his first wife, Reba Cubine and five brothers, Charles, Deroy, David, John Allen and William Cubine.
Survivors include his wife, Zella Bishop Cubine; a step-son, Barney Bishop (Carol) of Lebanon; two step-granddaughters, Rebecca Bishop and Maegan Coffman (Jerry) of Lancaster; two step-great grandchildren, Tyler Bishop and Kinley Hunt; a sister-in-law, Mary E. Cubine of Louisville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 27th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Aaron Sherrell, pastor of the Springfield Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville.

Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda Smith; a son, Ernest Tyrone Smith both of Louiville; a brother, Gerald Railey (Nellie) of Lebanon; five sisters, Mary T. McWhorter of Springfield, Elizabeth Railey Williams, Martha Railey Weathers, Doris Railey McKissic and Barbara Railey all of Louisville; two sisters-in-law, Nancy Railey of Lebanon and Betty Jean Railey of Bardstown; her former mother-in-law, Mary Jean Smith of Lebanon and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, February 16th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Ditton, officiating.
Burial will be in the St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 10:00 Wednesday morning at the church.

Funeral services will be private for immediate family only Monday, February 14th at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Chesser, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. John McDaniel.
Burial will be on Cemetery Hill where military rites will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

She was born on July 8, 1940 in the Mooresville Community of Washington County to the late Joseph Thomas and Julia May Carney Homan.
Mary Tom grew up attending New Hope Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Springfield Baptist Church. She was a 1959 graduate of Springfield High School, 1962 graduate of Georgetown College and a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Over the course of her thirty-five-year career as an educator, Mrs. Grider taught thousands of students in Washington County Schools and Bardstown High School. Mary Tom loved world history and geography. A born storyteller, she could engage both young children and reluctant teenagers, by sharing adventuresome stories about historical figures and events.
After her retirement in 1996, she enjoyed substitute teaching and seeing former students out in the community. She remained active in the “Ole Fashion Club” Homemaker’s group and Joy Sunday School Class. She practiced the Citizenship she taught to so many by working the polls as a county election officer for many years.
After the passing of her husband Jimmy, in 2011, Mary Tom, moved to Louisville to be near her daughters and grandchildren. She was again active in a homemaker’s group and Joy Sunday School Class at Westport Baptist Church. She enjoyed family brunch every Sunday and made many friends in her new neighborhood.
Preceding her in death was her husband of forty-five years, James Walter Grider on March 20, 2011; and infant sister, Julia Bell Homan on July 1, 1936; a brother, Frank Monroe Homan on September 13, 2018 and a sister, Nancy Barr Goatley on October 20, 2021.
Survivors include two daughters, Julia Roxanne Grider and Jamie Thomas Grider Paradis and her husband, Al Paradis of Louisville; two grandchildren, Lillian Paradis and James Fischer Paradis; a brother, Joe Bill Homan of Springfield and three sisters, Sarah Ethel Keeling and her husband, John Edward of Springfield, Mattie Greer of Bardstown, Margaret Jackson of LaGrange and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private for family members only at Carey & Son Funeral Home.
