Jeanetta Favour - Unknown - January 12, 2022

Departed: 01/12/2022 (Buffalo)
Obituary Preview: Jeanetta Kay Favour, “Netta” was born on November 11, 1973, in Buffalo, OK to Larry and Genevieve Gibson.  She departed this life on January 11, 2021. Jeanetta grew up in Buffalo, OK, where she gained her love for sports, outdoors and hunting.  She played softball throughout her school years, graduating as a Buffalo Bison in 1992. Go Bison!
Jeanetta left Buffalo after high school and began her professional career.  Her jobs took her across the country over the years.  Her hard work, smarts and drive led her to excel in every job she took.  This led her to Service Master Recovery Management where she continued to impress everyone and succeed.  She served as a National Representative with SRM.  Netta was always willing to put the company first, she was the first to volunteer for CAT duty around the country at all disasters. She would be the first to tell you that she bled ServiceMaster yellow.   Jeanetta was well respected for her performance and never backed down from any challenge that came her way.  She busted her tail end for her clients, many of whom have gone on to become treasured friends.  It didn’t matter whether she was shoulder deep in flood waters or living on beef jerky and energy drinks for days, she gave all she had to support her SRM team. Jeanetta was full of passion for people and animals that shined bright in every aspect of her life.
Netta is loved by everyone she came across in her life, both personal and professionally - she returned that love to all with her amazing personality and beautiful smile.  She loved her animals; she was the Number 1 dog Mom and has the mug to prove it.   Her dogs were her babies, she loved them and nurtured them better than most mothers do their children.  She was an amazing woman.  Everyone that met her is far better for knowing her.  She was a gorgeous woman, and her inner beauty was illuminating - lighting up every room she entered.  Jeanetta was strong-willed and spoke her mind, she was never afraid to stand up for herself.  She would fiercely defend and/or stand up for loved ones, she didn’t hesitate to bring the honey-badger side of her out if needed.   She was special and will be missed and loved forever.  She had a great zest for life, loved to travel and meet new people.  She had an edgy sense of humor that may have pushed boundaries of social norms & political correctness at times, but was always funny, appropriate for the situation (at least in her mind) and brought laughter and joy to those around her.
Jeanetta was preceded in death by her parents, Larry & Genevieve, and her nephew Tye Lee.  She is survived by her sister, Glenda & husband Emmitt Lamon, their children Dillon Gibson and wife Kayla, Samantha Myers, and husband Blake, KJ Helmuth, & Grace Helmuth.  Her brother, Larry Jr and his wife Candy, their children Shelby, Brooke & Ryan.  Greg Merrell and his children, Trever, Dylen, Sydni, Madi & Anna.  Along with her children Jaxon & Rus-T and numerous family & friends.

Linda Fleming - Unknown - January 02, 2022

Departed: 01/02/2022 (Buffalo)
Obituary Preview: Linda Sue (Snider) Fleming was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.  Linda passed from this life on January 2, 2022 at the age of 69 at Woodward Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Woodward, OK. Linda was born on January 21, 1952, in Buffalo, OK to the late Bill and Anna Lou (Secrest) Snider.  In her younger years she attended the United Methodist Church of Buffalo.  She attended Buffalo Public Schools where she graduated with the Class of 1970.  During Linda’s high school years, she was honored to win the title of Miss Buffalo 1970 while also being honored by her fellow contestants by being voted as Miss Congeniality.  This was a very fitting honor for Linda as can be confirmed by anyone that knew her and enjoyed her fun-loving personality.  One of her favorite pastimes during high school was riding her white Honda 65 motorcycle that she got for her 14th birthday.  When she was old enough to drive a car, she also loved to ride around with her friends and “drag main.”  Once she was even told by the town cop that her dad said she better get home.  You see Linda’s dad, Bill, happened to be the town manager at the time and had some friends on the local police force.  She just happened to like to drive his pickup that also had a police radio in it. Linda was also the twirler for the high school band.  She was remembered for twirling batons lit with fire at the football games. Linda’s earliest work history probably started when she was younger when her job consisted of some chores around the house, especially picking on her younger brother, Greg!  Throughout Linda’s earlier adult years, she worked in jobs where she could be interacting with people.  She was definitely a “people person” and never really met a stranger. She worked at the front desk of the Sands motel in Woodward, OK.  She also worked at Ken’s Haberdashery as a clothes presser, the Rib Ranch Café as a waitress, and as a dispatcher for both Dewey and Harper Counties.  She also was a caregiver for her mother in Anna Lou’s later years.  Another job she had was as a babysitter.  These are great examples of her love for people and children.  Several people today remember her as somewhat of a second mom.   Linda loved spending time with family and friends and was always good for several laughs.  She was a very fun-loving person and loved people. She loved to dance to country music and was quite a good dancer.  She even teamed up with her brother Greg to win several dance contests in their younger days.  God gave her a birthday present her son Josh. He was the center of her world for many years.  On June 1, 1990, Linda married the love of her life, Clifford Dean Fleming.  This family of 3 would reside near Slapout, OK for several years.  From 2000-2009, Linda and Clifford lived in Vici, OK while Clifford served as the agricultural education teacher for Vici High School.  They then returned to the family home near Slapout where they resided until Linda’s passing.  Her health would make it necessary for her to be cared for in various nursing homes for most of the last 4 years of her life.  She was at Woodward Skilled Nursing and Therapy to regain strength after a severe illness which forced a stay in ICU at St. Anthony’s hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and savior at the age of 47 at a revival at the First Baptist Church of Buffalo.  It was a special moment not only because she had accepted salvation from Jesus but she had gone after being invited by her son, Josh.  Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Anna Lou Snider, father-in-law, Dale Fleming, grandparents, Hurley and Marium Snider, and Claud and Ruby Secrest, grandfather-in-law D.E. Redinger and grandmother-in-law Rose Redinger, and nephew Tra Snider. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Fleming, of Slapout, OK, her son Josh Snider and wife Amy of Laverne, OK, 2 grandchildren Caroline and Cade, her brother Greg Snider and wife Joannie of Buffalo, OK, nephews: Rian Snider, his wife Michelle, and their sons Zach and Shane of Woodward, OK, Garland Campbell, his wife Cassandra, and their son Landon and daughter Caroline of Buffalo, OK, niece Jacquelyne (J) Snider and her daughters Caidence, Paige, Anny, and Libby.  Mother-in-law Junne Fleming of Slapout, OK, sister-in-law Joyce Fleming of Slapout, OK, brother-in-law Roy Fleming and wife Tena of Slapout, OK, nephews: Tucker Fleming, his wife CandiSu, their daughter Kodie and son Kaleb of Hardesty, OK, Tyrel Fleming, his wife Melissa, and son Connor of  Catesby, OK.  Niece Jenna Stump, her husband Danny, their daughter Madison and son Matthew of Hooker, OK.  Special son Shawn Stoddard, wife Crystal, their daughters Alexis and Alana of Buffalo, OK.  She also leaves behind numerous other relatives and a host of close friends.

Roxanna Greenlee - Unknown - December 15, 2021

Departed: 12/15/2021 (Buffalo)
Obituary Preview: On December 15, 2021, the Lord, in a mighty wind, came to Buffalo, OK and Roxanna Mae Greenlee followed him home as the dust settled. She was born to Kearrian C Ashlock and Ruby Francis Weese on December 24, 1933, at the Doby Springs home. Roxanna began her childhood in a wood clad “shack” with a dirt floor for her shared bedroom and attended Doby Springs School with her siblings. The Ashlock family later moved to the Southeast part of the Original Town of Buffalo and attended Buffalo Schools from which she graduated in May of 1951. She worked throughout high school at Harper’s Café and at the Hospital with Dr. Mitchell as a nurse (even assisting with surgeries).
A stolen ice cream cone sparked a romance with the love of her life, Arvid Devearl Greenlee, and the two were married September 23, 1951, at the Baptist church of Buffalo with Rev. L A Leach officiating. Her to-be sister-in-law, Doris Greenlee was her attendee and her to-be brother-in-law, Lloyd W Greenlee was the best man. To this marriage came four children: Deborah Ann, James Devearl, Jeffrey John, and Kent William. They made their home on the Greenlee farm Southwest of Buffalo.
Roxanna worked as a cook, a bus driver, and a custodian for the Buffalo Public Schools as well as taking part in community and church events. She also shared her connection with the Holy Spirit to be a philosopher, mentor, and spiritual guide to all. Roxanna enjoyed singing with family, friends, and her husband. She tried to learn to play the banjo but found her talent playing the autoharp.
Roxanna was devoted to family and that generosity extended way beyond and touched many that she not only worked with but those that she met. Never were items too lost to be found, many heads of hair not braided, uniforms unwashed, floors and windows not spotless or facilities unready for the next event.
After retirement, Roxanna continued to “be of service” by doing clothing alterations and sewing or just repairing sewing machines and vacuum cleaners. Later due to declining mobility, she and Arvid moved to town. They enjoyed visits with family and friends for the rest of their days together. She remained by Arvid’s side and helped with all his needs despite her inability to walk until he passed. Then, she too was diagnosed with a terminal illness and decided to remain at home until her time was done. Most always she had an evening visit or a Sunday night of playing Mexican Train, there was never a day that she regretted. And she knew, according to all contacts from the last week, that her time was near and that she was ready to go.
Roxanna was proceeded in death by her father, an infant son, her mother, two brothers, Les Ashlock and “Junior” Ashlock, her daughter, her husband, and a sister Dorothy Gillenwaters. She leaves behind her brother Cecil Ashlock, her sisters and best friends Darlene Jones and Rosa Lou Morgan, her two sons Jeff and wife Judy, Kent and wife Lori, son-in-law Wilbert Boone, grandson William Joseph Boone, Step-grandsons: Denton (Jessica) Bradley, Tyler (Liz) Bradley and Colton (Jordan) Smith, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and other relatives and many, many dear friends.
