Obituary Preview: Craig J. Nevins, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. He was the son of the late Nina E. (Goldberg) Keyser and Henry Hesseman. Craig was a proud graduate of STCC in Springfield and MCLA in North Adams. He was a horticulturalist, volunteered for animal rescue for many years and enjoyed spending time with his family and partner. He will be missed by: his partner of over 20 years, Michael Conner of Chicopee; his sister's, Lisa Ritson and her husband Merritt of East Granby, CT, Tara LaCasse and her husband Jack of Winsted, CT,  his brother, Christopher Hesseman and his wife Kim, of Port Charlotte, FL; his nephews, Stephen Ritson of Agawam MA, and Chris and Clint Hesseman of Oregon. She grew up in Ware and lived in Pittsfield for the past several years. Cassie enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her son.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Obituary Preview: Longmeadow – Martha Marguerite Plouffe, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 24, 2020 at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow. Born in Holyoke, MA on September 13, 1944 to the late Edmond T. Sr. and Marguerite V. (LaPorte) Plouffe, she was a longtime area resident.
Martha was a graduate of Chicopee High School and was employed as a cashier for many area stores over the years.  Martha loved traveling and spending time with her family but photography was her passion. She won many prizes over the years for her pictures, including first place for a four season picture collage of Swift River.  Martha was also a faithful communicant of St. Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anne Wlodyka and her husband William. Martha will be dearly missed by her brother, Edmond Plouffe and his wife Phyllis of Chicopee; several nieces and nephews; thirteen great-nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to meet for Martha’s graveside service on Thursday October 1st, 2020 at 12 noon at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, Olsen St. in Chicopee. There are no calling hours. Born in Ludlow to the late Paul and Annamae (Lind) Netopski, he attended Ludlow Schools and was a lifelong area resident. Wally absolutely loved his job and was employed as Head Maintenance Tech for 20 years at Interstate Towing Company. He had a larger than life personality and to say he would do anything for you was an understatement. Wally truly was the kindest man with a heart of gold, and you could always count on him to be there with a smile, and to lend a helping hand no matter what the weather may be. He enjoyed his life to the fullest, especially Arizona Iced Tea, playing pool and darts, watching movies, neon lights and tinkering with his cars. He will be dearly missed by his daughter, Shannon Dion of Feeding Hills; his four sons, Michael Mackay of Huntington, MA, Paul Netopski of Ashland, MA, Eric Netopski of Springfield and Joseph Netopski of Ludlow; his grandchildren, Valerie, Serenity, Kaelyn, Kamden and Brianna Mae and all of his friends at Interstate Towing Company, including Jeremy “Boss Man” Procon. Obituary Preview: Chicopee – Constance Alice (Piquette) Huggins, 83, passed away peacefully, on Monday, September 14, 2020, at Holyoke Medical Center.  She was born in Holyoke, to Frederick and Rhea (Duval) Piquette of Willimansett, Chicopee.  She was a 1954 graduate of Chicopee High School.  A full time mom, raising six children for over 20 years, she was later employed in the lab at Providence Hospital, and then at Life Labs in Mercy Hospital, where she retired from in 2002.  During her free time, she enjoyed Bingo with her friends many times a week, at different organizations and churches around Chicopee and traveling to casinos in New England and New Jersey. She loved gaming at home with her grandchildren, where she introduced them to Nintendo, Sega and whatever they could play in local arcades.  A bright, smart woman, her mind was always firing on all cylinders, and she continued with her love of gaming on her laptop, even as a full time resident in Willimansett West nursing facility.  She is survived by her children, William J. Huggins, of West Springfield, Catherine C. Hines, of Chicopee, James E. Huggins, of Chicopee, Teresa A. Langston, of Hurst, TX, and Laura M. Huggins, of Clifton Park, NY, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She is predeceased by her daughter, Barbara J. He was born and raised in Fall River, MA and attended Notre Dame High School, later graduating from Johnson and Wales in Providence, RI. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Airforce. Chef worked for many area restaurants including the former Yankee Pedlar in Holyoke, Union Station in Northampton, Park Plaza in Boston and was owner and chef at the Candleworks in New Bedford. He loved cooking and had a passion for creating different culinary recipes. When he was not cooking, he enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Marcel will be missed by his beloved wife of 58 years, Ada (Wright) Godbout of Chicopee;  his sons, Michael Godbout and his wife Dee of Wilbraham; Daniel Godbout and his wife Lynne of Belchertown, Kevin Godbout of South Hadley and Christopher Godbout and his wife Heather of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Kimberly, Melissa, Marc, Rebecca, Mason, Daniel, Jakob, Derrick, Anabel, and Piper; eight great-grandchildren and his sister, Mariette Howland and her husband Mark. Obituary Preview: Springfield - Ramon Padilla, 76, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. He was born and raised in Maunabo, Puerto Rico. A son of the late Manuel and Perfecta (Garcia) Padilla. He later came to live in New York in pursuit of a better life and worked in the Sheet Metal manufacturing industry in New Jersey for many years. Ramon loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and he also loved to play and listen to Latin Jazz music. He loved playing the Congas and Timbales. His favorite artists were Cortijo y su combo, Ismael Rivera, Fania, Tito Puentes and El Grand Combo. Ramon was always a happy and cheerful man. He was a diehard New York Yankees fan and never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite team.
He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife, Emma Padilla, his children, Daniel Padilla and his wife Autumn, Jesenia Padilla and her spouse John, and Reynaldo Padilla and his wife Linda; his beloved grandchildren, Anastasia, Daniel Jr., Xander, Camdyn, Angel, Giovanni, Isabelle, Hunter, Janira, Michelle, and Reynaldo Jr.; by his seven great grandchildren, his two brothers and two sisters. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Ramon Padilla Jr., 2 sisters and one brother.
An outdoor prayer service will take place for Ramon at the St. Paul Episcopal Church, 485 Appleton St., Holyoke, MA on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 12pm. She was predeceased by her husband, Larry Early in 1986; a son, Paul H. Early in 2016 and by her three brothers. She is survived by her four children, Carl R. Early of Holyoke, Scott E. Early and Tom R. Early, and Darleen Rzasa, all of Chicopee; brothers, Guy and Cyr Pelletier, both of Canada; her sister, Yolande Hult of Wisconsin; nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Joseph R. Lemoine - January 16, 1937 - August 22, 2020

Obituary Preview: Joseph R. Lemoine (a.k.a. Joe or Tony Volu), 83 years old, formerly of Chicopee, Massachusetts, a resident of San Diego, CA, peacefully passed away in his sleep on 8-22-2020 in California.  He was born in Chicopee to the late Theodore Lemoine (born in Rhode Island) and Marie Cecile Nadeau (born in Canada), he attended Cathedral High School and was a graduate of life.
Joe had quite the colorful resume throughout his life and worked until the day he passed; he held various positions and had multiple careers beginning as a tool maker then President of his local union at Moore Drop Forging Company, owned numerous bar establishments, ran his thoroughbred horses from Massachusetts down to Florida, worked in construction, customer service, continued his entrepreneurial endeavors selling his wares, had a successful career as a commercial actor with small rolls in the movie industry.  At the time of his passing, he was semi-retired in the commercial/movie industry and he managed the Pacific Sands Motel in Pacific Beach, CA.
His philanthropy reached many different organizations.   He had 30 years and 5 months of sobriety and was actively recovering in AA, as well as a very respected role model and sponsor to many from Los Angeles to San Diego.  He enjoyed his long walks and exercise routine and feeding the local wildlife at the beach where he lived.  He also loved going to the track with his friends. He was a devout Catholic, Democrat, Patriots and Red Sox fan.
He will be missed by his family and friends dearly and leaves behind the following: his children Joseph Lemoine (of Southwick, MA) and his wife Gale Lemoine, predeceased by William J. Martin (of N. Fort Meyers, FL), Laurie Gay and her husband Paul Gay (of Belchertown, MA), Sharon L. Martin (of N. Fort Meyers, FL), predeceased by Thomas D. Lemoine who was married to Stephanie Lemoine (of Enfield, CT), Lisa Fournier and her husband Gary Fournier (of Agawam, MA), and Michelle Paul and her husband Lawrence A. Paul, Jr. (of San Diego, CA).  Joseph also leaves behind many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.  Lastly, Joseph left behind and was predeceased by his closest friends, many who he had known most of his life.
Private calling hours are on Friday, September 11, 2020 from 4–7 PM at the Brunelle Funeral Home, 811 Chicopee St., Chicopee. MA.  Joe’s funeral will be held on Saturday September 12th starting at 8:45 am at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Catholic burial at 10 AM at St. Rose De Lima Church, Grattan St. Chicopee. Burial will be in St. Rose De Lima Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made in Joe’s memory to Alcoholics Anonymous. She was predeceased by her 2nd husband, John Jones in 2013. She is survived by her 1st husband, Raymond Myers of Granby, MA; daughter, Barbara Collins and her husband Richard of Cheshire, CT; her son, Allen Myers and his wife Cecile of Belchertown, MA; her brother, David Northup and his wife Dottie of West Springfield; her sister, Deborah Gamelli and her husband Vincent of Agawam, MA; her grandchildren, Brianna and Connor Collins, Lindsey and Morgan Myers; several nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

Sue enjoyed trips to Hamden beach, long drives with her husband, volunteering and playing bingo at the Nativity Church, spending time at the Chicopee senior center, but most of all loved family gatherings and Holidays at her home. She was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2003.She will be missed by her sons; Richard Walmsley and Sandi of Holyoke, David Walmsley and Tina of Granby, her grandchildren; Sarah Walmsley, Amanda Walmsley, and Richard Walmsley Jr., great-grandchildren; Mariah and Skyler, her former daughter in-law; Wendy Walmsley, and several cousins, great cousins, and many dear friends. She enjoyed candlepin bowling, knitting Afghans, playing chip and putt in Hadley and especially loved her time spent in Chatham on Cape Cod. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Mikolas “Mike” Chwalek in 2012 and by her niece, Evelyn Mahan in 2017 and her great niece, Jamie Vickers in 2019. Obituary Preview: Belchertown - Neil W. Vincent, 77, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. Neil was a son of the late James and Margaret (Hough) Vincent. He was born in Plattsburgh, NY and raised in Chicopee, MA where he lived for many years. Neil proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Medic during the time of Vietnam. He worked several jobs over the years, including at a machine shop, construction, medic, and retired as a nurse for Western Mass Hospital in Westfield. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, cooking, but most of all loved spending time with his family. He leaves his beloved wife of 54 years, Eileen (Guillemette) Vincent of Belchertown. He will also be missed by his grandchildren,  Alexander Gazis of Broad Brook, CT, Yiannis Gazis and Katerina Gazis; son-in-law, Zannis Gazis and his wife Aliona, all of Somers, CT; brother, Mitchell Vincent and his wife Donna of Belchertown; sister in-law, Leslie Vincent of Chicopee; sister, Bernice Carpenter of Springfield; sister-in-law,  Barbara Rogers of Columbus, OH;  niece, Wendy Verona of Chicopee and several extended family members and many dear friends.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer Gazis in 2009, his brother, Merril “Buddy” Vincent, and by his brother-in-law, James Rogers.
All services are private. A Memorial Celebration will take place at Neil and Eileen's Home in Belchertown on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 2pm. Memorial donations may be made in Neil’s memory to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Carol is survived by long time partner Roger Lafountain. Brothers John Corliss and his fiance' Donna Casey, Wayne Corliss, Dennis Fisher and Thomas Shirley. Sisters Madge (Corliss) Maspo and Susan Shuttles and Step-daughter Debbie Egnor. Nieces June Rogers and Mike Edwards & Lynn Gilligan. Nephews Rene Letendre & James Gilligan and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her 2 sisters, twin Edith Letendre, Linda Clark & brother Ronald Corliss & Nephew Richard Letendre. Carol grew up in Chicopee and lived in the West Springfield/Springfield areas. She worked at The Dollar Store warehouse before retiring early from American Linen & Uniform Supply Co. She was a member of Friday Night Mixers bowling league at Brunswick airway lanes in Springfield where she bowled and met up with family and friends every Friday for many years before becoming disabled. Carol was a "kindred spirit" there wasn't a person that met her for the 1st time that didn't feel instantly connected to her. Her favorite pastimes were shopping at thrift stores because she loved a great bargain, watching horror movies and tv never missing an episode of "Days of Our Lives" She was a happy, outgoing, loving, kind hearted soul. Always smiling, thinking of others before herself. She loved to have a good time  hanging out with family and friends listening to the oldies. She was fun and someone you liked to be around. Her joyful spirit will be greatly missed by her family and numerous friends.
