Bonnie Jean Evans - July 07, 1945 - April 05, 2024

Departed: 04/05/2024 (Moxee)
Obituary Preview: Bonnie Jean (Loudon) Evans, a spitfire of a woman with an adventurous spirit and a heart of gold, transitioned to her next great adventure on April 5, 2024, at the age of 78. She was surrounded by family to help send her on her way. Her departure leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories and a legacy of love and laughter. She was born on July 7, 1945.
Bonnie was a proud mother of three daughters, Carla, Angela, Vicki, a doting grandmother, and great-grandmother, whose love knew no bounds. She played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of her grandchildren, imparting wisdom, mischief, and a healthy dose of laughter along the way.
In addition to her role as a nurturing matriarch (she hated this term, but she really did run the house, and EVERYTHING else), Bonnie was a force of nature in her own right. She was known for her quick wit, screw-you attitude, infectious laughter, and a fearless spirit that led her to try daring feats, like attempting to jump into a dust devil just to experience its whirlwind embrace.
Bonnies adventurous soul was evident in her dreams as well. Her original dream career was to be homeless, traveling the country, and jumping trains to explore new horizons. While life took her on different paths, her free spirit and love of adventure never waned. She was able to partially bring her goal to fruition when she worked for Superior Asphalt on the chip crew where she could camp for weeks at a time, even in peoples front yards.
Despite her daring escapades, Bonnie found joy in simple pleasures like crafting, tending to her garden, attending rodeos (especially the White Swan rodeo), cheering on her favorite riders, Gray and Izabelle, and spending quality time with her grandchildren. She took those quality times as an opportunity to sit sideways and talk straight, weaving tales of her shenanigans and imparting lifes lessons with humor, love, and a lot of sass.
Bonnie lived a life filled with laughter, love, and a daring spirit that inspired all who knew her. While she may have embarked on her next journey, her legacy of courage, joy, and feistiness will continue to shine bright in the hearts of those she touched.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Gavin "Bud" and Anna Marie "Anne" Loudon (Messer), sister, Janice Prichard (Loudon), and brother, Roger Loudon. She is survived by her brother, Kelly, and her sister-in-law, Barbara Loudon, her lifelong best friend, Barbara Corpuz, brother-in-law, Bill Prichard, sister-in-law, Patty Loudon, daughters, Carla Jones (Rodriguez), Angela "Angie" Stickney (Rodriguez), Vicki and son-in-law, John Weaver (Smith), her grandchildren, Anthony GrayWolf Herrera, Jacob and his wife Christal Kerr, April "Georgie" Scott, RaeAnna "Rae" Alvarez, Jacob (Christal) Kerr, Justis "Bud" Weaver, Chance Weaver, and her great-grandchildren, Izabelle WhiteDove Herrera, Anthony Gonzalez, Andrew Gonzalez, Arik Gonzalez, Keegan Kerr, and Jacob Kerr, Jr., three great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her friends and family fondly remember her as the tiniest powerhouse, a woman who could never meet a stranger, with a heart as vast as the open road and a spirit that soared higher than any dust devil that tempted her.
In honoring Bonnies memory, her family invites loved ones to a Celebration of Life on April 27, 2024, from 1:00pm until the Fireball is gone, at the home of Angie Stickney (6402 W Ridge Ct., Yakima, WA), where stories of her mischievous ventures and laughter will echo in the air.
