Obituary Preview: The family of Robert Glynn Clark, 81, of St. Albans, announces that he passed away peacefully March 28, 2024, in St. Albans, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Burlington, June 25, 1942 to A. Stanley and June (Hill) Clark.  He graduated from Bristol High School in 1960, and earned his accounting degree at Champlain College in 1962. Robert married Barbara Boire, November 22, 1962. He worked as Accounting Manager for Fonda Container for 37 years, and was co-owner with Barbara of Barbara’s Bouquets for 36 years in St. Albans.
Bob enjoyed spending time with his family, going to many of his children and grandchildren’s sporting events and school activities. He and Barbara enjoyed many close friends spending every Wednesday evening going out for dinner and playing cards. Bob and Barbara were honored members of the “Edward Street Decorating Committee”. He loved his summers vacationing with family. Bob enjoyed collecting antiques and “junk”. In his retirement years, he enjoyed “helping” Barbara at the flower shop by doing deliveries. He also loved the many food groups, which for him included chips, sweets, and his favorite vegetable- Barbara’s Dill Pickles. Bob had a wonderfulsense of humor and was always quick with a smile, a laugh, and a joke. He was also known to be a kind, generous, selfless soul, who put all others before himself.
Bob was a long time member and President of the local Jaycee’s, where he and Barbara were former Jaycee Couple of the Year recognized for their civic contributions to the St. Albans community. He was also proud of his “Homemade Jaycee Chicken Marinade” served for years at the Vermont Maple Festival.
Bob’s family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Franklin County Rehab Center who went above and beyond to meet and exceed all of his needs during his stay with them.
He is survived by his sons Timothy Clark (Lina), Brian Clark (Tammie Day), Randy Clark (Stacey), his grandchildren, Brian Clark II (Mindy), Benjamin Clark (Zachary Phillips), Aaron Clark (Kayleigh), Eva Clark, Anthony Clark (Jenna Eaton), Jarad Clark (Devan), Aysha Clark, Lauren Clark, Elena Clark, his great-grandsons Bradley and Brody Clark, his brother David Clark (Donna), and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara B. Clark and his parents, A. Stanley Clark and June B. Clark, and many life long friends.
A Remembrance Gathering and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM, in Holy Angels Church. A Time of Reflection will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Brady & Levesque Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in the Clark family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery later this spring.
As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the BFA Athletic Department or the Activities Fund at the Franklin County Rehab Center.

Joyce was an amazing quilter. She loved to read and knit. TV westerns was one of her favorite past times. She mostly loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband Harry Swoyer, her children, Robert Swoyer (Casey) of Highgate, Christina Chase (Alexander) Hartland, 5 grandchildren Olivia Chase, Mason Chase, Katie Savard, Jenna Jesseman, and Brandon Savard, 7 Great-grandchildren, her siblings Brenda Boucher (Ronald) of Highgate, Bruce Norcross (Janet) of Franklin, Debbie Alsop (Robert) of St. Albans, and Judy Edwards (Douglas) of North Hero. She was preceded in death by her parents Jeannine and Lawrence Norcross, her son Timothy Swoyer, and her step-father Kenneth Goodenough

Joe loved going for rides everywhere, looking for antiques and going to flea markets. He genuinely loved being outdoors. His work ethic and his love for his family were the prides of his life. He put his heart into everything he did, his gardening was his passion. His last years were spent loving his great-grandchildren.He served our country in the Vermont National Guard as a Cook.

Claire's thirst for knowledge led her to pursue education beyond high school. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in St. Albans, Vermont before further enriching her mind with numerous courses at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Focusing on medical and law enforcement courses, she honed her skills and knowledge in areas that complemented her career.
Claire's lifelong commitment to helping others began early in her career as an emergency medical technician (EMT). She served as an EMT for many years, working tirelessly for various county rescue units and ambulance services. Claire's unwavering dedication to saving lives earned her the respect and admiration of all who knew her. Her compassion and expertise undoubtedly made a significant impact on countless individuals in their moments of greatest need.
In addition to her exceptional work as an EMT, Claire also served as a 911 operator and dispatcher for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department. Her professionalism and calm demeanor were truly commendable during high-stress situations. Over her tenure of well over 20 years with the department, she played a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the community she cherished.
Not only did Claire dedicate herself to public service, but she also had a deep sense of commitment to her family and hobbies that brought her immense joy throughout her life. Claire met the love of her life, Carl Reinmiller, during his time in the Air Force where he served for 26 years.
Claire was extremely proud of her children and grandchildren. She played an active role in their upbringing and care, ensuring they always felt loved and supported. Her children were fortunate to have such a caring and nurturing mother. Claire's grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was especially enamored with her great-grandchildren. Their laughter and innocence filled her heart with immeasurable joy.
Outside of her professional and familial responsibilities, Claire maintained a rich and fulfilling life full of diverse interests. She was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church where she led the church clothing bank. Her musical talents shone as she often played the guitar during services, soothing the souls of those who attended. Claire derived immense satisfaction from volunteering her time to help others and strengthen the community bonds that she held dear.
Claire's passion for family extended beyond blood ties as she actively participated in several associations that reflected her values. She was a proud member of the Windsor Park Civic Association, where she was honored as Citizen of the Year for her selflessness and dedication to making a positive difference in her community. Additionally, her involvement with the US Deputy Sheriff's Association and Mississippi Modulators Radio Club showcased her commitment to law enforcement and amateur radio communications.
Throughout her life, Claire found solace in several hobbies that allowed her to unwind and connect with others who shared similar interests. Bowling provided both friendly competition and lasting friendships that brought joy to her life. Camping adventures allowed Claire to appreciate the beauty of nature while creating cherished memories with loved ones.
Claire's remarkable accomplishments did not go unnoticed throughout her lifetime. She received special recognition for professionalism from the US Customs and Border Patrol—a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence. As an active member of the Jackson County Sheriff's Reserves, she proudly contributed to maintaining law and order in the community she held dear.
As we bid farewell to Claire M. Reinmiller, we carry her spirit of compassion and selflessness in our hearts. Her dedication to serving others, her profound love for family, and her extensive involvement in the community will forever be remembered as a testament to a life well-lived. She leaves behind a legacy that continues to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Claire is survived by her loving husband 62 years, Carl Reinmiller, who shared more than just a lifetime of memories with her but also a deep bond forged through love and resilience. Her son Curt (Jennifer) Reinmiller; her grandchildren Travis (Stephanie) Howie, Kayla Reinmiller, Sarah Depreo, and Chris Depreo; her great-grandchildren Emma Claire Gore and Madeline Depreo. Claire's great-granddaughters will grow up knowing the incredible woman who paved the way for them.  She also leaves many friends in Vermont.
She is preceded in death by a daughter Caren Depreo, a great-granddaughter Sofia Gore and her parents.
In this time of grieving and remembrance, let us hold onto the lessons that Claire M. Reinmiller taught us—the importance of service, devotion to family, and finding joy in life's simple pleasures. While we say our goodbyes with heavy hearts, may we find comfort in knowing that Claire left an indelible mark on this world and will forever be remembered as a beacon of light within our community.

He was born in St. Albans City, October 22,1934 to Louis and Dorothy (Frederick)Gardner. Bill served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a Precast Cement Laborer for Camp Pre-Cast, retiring in 2008. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post #1 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #758.
He is survived by his longtime companion and fiancé Carol Farrington as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill and Carol enjoyed watching tv shows together. He liked shows about cars and likely saw every western show created. He was known to play a mean card game of skat and rummy, always with a smile and chuckle. Gatherings would often include his favorite pizza, cold cut sandwiches with chips and a cold beer that he liked to add a couple shakes of salt to.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Margaret Lord, Shirley Gardner, May Mosher and brothers Lawrence Gardner, Charles Gardner, Walter Gardner and Albert Gardner, Sr.

Deborah Godin - September 17, 1954 - January 04, 2024

(Vear) Godin. Debbie made friends wherever she went, finding herself building friendships while she worked at Eveready, IBM, and Ames in her early working career. With the passing of her father in 1999, Debbie took over the family businesses - Lakeview Camping Area and Lakeview Ceramics. Later, after Lakeview Ceramics closed, she kept herself busy in the off season by working at TJ Maxx and at Bellows Free Academy as a substitute teacher. Debbie was a certified ceramicist and enjoyed other arts and crafting like card making, sketching, acrylic and water color painting. She enjoyed traveling, and when unable to travel, she was an avid reader and cookbook collector. Debbie enjoyed singing happy birthday to friends, family, customers, and acquaintances, as loudly as possible for all to hear, especially if she had a microphone available. She was an ardent UVM Lady Cats basketball fan. She is survived by two daughters, Kris Godin and Elsie Godin both of Saint Albans, VT; two siblings, Rhea Godin and David Godin; and her close family, Wendell Godin & partner Debbie Brosseau, Wendy Vear, Sandy Vear, Nicole Vear Adams and family, and Jason Vear and family.She is preceded in death by her parents, Hugh C. and Elsie M. Rosaline was a communicant of St. Patrick's and St. Mary's Parishes.

He would spend his time relaxing playing his favorite video games and undoubtedly passing that along to his children. You could always find him tinkering with a car or doing research on whatever car peaked his interest that day.Dustin will be remembered by all who knew him for his ability to make people laugh and how that came easy to him. He always made people feel very comfortable in his presence. He is survived by three sons, Wyatt Parker, Kaydin Parker, and Hunter Parker all of Burlington; two sisters, Cassie Parker of Burlington, and Mindy Parker of Colchester, VT; and his girlfriend, Gabby Britt of Burlington, several aunts, uncles and cousins.He is preceded in death by one son, Jacob Parker and his parents, Angel Elizabeth Dudley and Garth Herbert Parker.A Remembrance Gathering will be held in the spring of 2024. He was born in Nashua, June 30, 1935 to Pascal and Yvonne (Francoeur) Gallant. Arthur married Sandra Arel, on January 5, 1957. Arthur served in the United States Air Force for 4 years, and then in the Vermont National Guard, Co. B, 1st Battalion 172 Armor Division from December 1978 and retired in June 1995. Arthur also worked at Woolworth's part time for 19 years. He worked for Bellows Free Academy for 30 years.
Arthur loved trips to the casino! He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
He is survived by his three children, Theresa Creller (Dana) of Sheldon, Mark Gallant of Franklin, and Wendy Jarvis of Sheldon, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Sandra, and his parents Pascal and Yvonne Gallant.

She loved reading, cooking, listening to opera, and was very politically active in the civil rights and peace movements of the 1960's and 1970's. She was active in righting wrongs wherever she found them. She loved traveling to Italy with Stod. One of her favorite things to do was hiking and camping with her family. Leonore loved to watch University of Michigan footballgames, and never missed a Federer tennis match.She cherished relationships with her children, grandchildren, and young great-granddaughters. Obituary Preview: Patricia Kennedy, age 94, died on September 27, 2023 at Our Lady of Providence in Winooski, Vt. She was the daughter of the late postmaster Harold G. Kennedy and Helen (Wry) Kennedy and a lifelong resident of St. Albans, Vt.
Miss Kennedy was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School and Trinity College of Vermont, Class of 1951. She earned her master’s degree at St. Michael’s College and her doctorate at Nova University.
Dr. Kennedy’s teaching profession included Poultney High School (1951-1955) and Waterbury High School (1955-1959) as head of their respective business departments. In 1959, she began teaching at Vermont College in Montpelier and joined the Norwich University faculty in 1972. She retired from full-time teaching at Norwich in 1995 and part-time in 2000. Dr. Kennedy was awarded Emerita Professor of Management at the time of her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in St. Albans.
Among her services were consultant of Trinity College from 1977-1982 and as a trustee 1982-1991; In 1991 she was elected to the board of trustees at Vermont Catholic Charities Inc. and at the end of her terms continued to serve as a consultant to the board until 2008.
Miss Kennedy is survived by her three nieces: Maureen and her husband Gary Badger of Brownington, Vt., Kathleen and her spouse Tina Claussen of Springfield, Mo., and Colleen and her husband Michael Linders of Philadelphia, Pa. Also surviving are numerous Kennedy and Wry cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, brother John and his wife Mary Carrigan Kennedy, and her cousin Catherine Kennedy McCarthy of Boston.
She was the last surviving grandchild of Captain Thomas B. Kennedy, who is memorialized in the Civil War mural in the Cedar Creek room of Vermont’s capital, and Catherine Howrigan Kennedy; and of Irving and Elizabeth Donahue Wry.
The family would like to thank the staff of Our Lady of Providence, Dr. N. Anton Borja, and BAYADA Hospice for their competent and compassionate care for Pat.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:00PM, at Brady & Levesque Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, St. Albans, prior to the funeral at Holy Angels Church at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Kennedy family lot at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Keith worked for many years as the Produce Manager for the Grand Union and Hannaford stores. He was also a Funeral Assistant for the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home for over 30 years. Keith also worked part time for Paquin's, and was most proud of working with his friends at Champlain Chevrolet. Keith was a member ot the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 1566. He held many offices through the years at the Elks, to include Secretary, Treasurer and Exalted Ruler, but was most proud serving as the State President of the Vermont Elks Association. He had a special place in his heart for Silver Towers, donating many hours to make sure the children had a special place to go to camp. He was a member of the St. Albans Town Fire Department, serving in many rolls, and retired as the Safety Officer. In Keith's spare time he enjoyed camping with his family and friends. For many years, they owned a camp at Lake Carmi. He and Merrilyne spent many vacations with their friends on bus trips to Atlantic City, cruises and just going out to dinner. Keith had a love for going to Maine, which he took his family to every year. Keith will be remembered for his love of cars. Claire was a bank teller for Peoples Trust Company, Vermont Federal Credit Union, secretary for the principal of the St. Albans Town School, and then was secretary for St. Mary's Church, where she also served as a lector at Mass. Claire was an active member of the Ladies of St. Anne's. She was very faithful in reading her Daily Bread prayers. She loved walking every day, visiting many people along the way. She will be remembered for her spectacular ability for sewing. Her greatest joy was raising her family in a Catholic way. She always spread her spiritual guidance to not only her family, but to all who could benefit from it. She will be remembered by many for her penmanship, and her cards she sent on all occasions.
She is survived by five children, Wendy Porwitzky (Thomas) of Albuquerque, NM, Rachel Berno (George) of Saint Albans, VT, Leean Pontikos (Michael) of Grand Island, NY, Timothy Bouchard (Robin) of Chichester, NH, and Christopher Bouchard of Belmont, NH; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Anne Thweatt of Georgia, VT, Joseph Montcalm (Marguerite) of St. Albans, VT, Maurice Montcalm (Gisele) of Georgia, VT, and Peter Montcalm (Carol) of Tuscon, AZ.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, one daughter, Jacqueline Bouchard; her parents, Hosanna and Vivian Allard Montcalm; and five siblings, Jeanne Poirier, Marie Montcalm, Rene Montcalm, Allen Moncalm, and Gerald Montcalm.
A Remembrance Gathering and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Parish at Holy Angels Church, Friday, September 8, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

She retired from the Vermont Department of Health as a Nurse Epidemiologist, in 2018, after over 20 years of service. Nancy had a Certification in Infection Prevention and Control, and was a founding member of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care. She published two books on Infection Control, and scores of articles in professional journals.Nancy loved making her house beautiful, and entertaining family and beloved friends with her crystal, china, and silver. She loved her flowers, especially her Hydrangeas. Stephanie Marcia Lushington Miner - January 02, 1929 - July 15, 2023

Obituary Preview: Stephanie Miner passed away peacefully on July 15, 2023 at the age of 94.In mid-January, Stephanie had a severe head in­jury, and was hospitalized for three weeks. She then transferred to Elderwood at Burlington, where she received rehab treatment as well as long-term nursing care. In early May, she began receiving hospice care.Stephanie was born in Bogliasco, Italy to parents Roland Lushington Hayes and Marcia "Mimi" Hilda Chaukley. Her father was British, and her mother was American.Her husband Donald Miner and brother Guy Hayes preceded her in death. She is survived by step-children Helen Nagel and Steven Miner and by her brother's four children - Stephanie Gotlieb, Arabella Hayes, Sholto Hayes, and Oliver Hayes.Stephanie often said that she'd had a very lucky life. She had many adven­tures. In 1939, when she was ten, and to avoid the ravages of the German bombing, her mother moved the children from London to Vermont, where Stephanie attended an Episcopal boarding school for girls. As a member of the Lushington family, Stephanie was presented to the court of King George VI at Buckingham Palace when she was a teenager. Stephanie lived in the UK for a while during her early adulthood, where she trained, qualitied, and worked as a nurse at "Guys Hospital" in London,. She also spent time with her father and grandmother in Europe, and extended periods in Hong Kong with her mother and stepfather, who was a British diplomat.In the 1960's, Stephanie decided to reside permanently in the US. She moved to New York City, living in Greenwich Village. While working for New York University, she assisted the French department in creating a French language index of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. She was also employed by Lehman Brothers, working for George Ball, an American diplomat. Beyond work, Stephanie passionately engaged in her community, helping to install a public garden with a recycling shed, and fighting to stop a huge traffic overpass to protect the health of community residents. She volunteered to help on a project headed personally by Mayor John Linsey, and was involved for many years in supporting a theater company, along with a group of women who called themselves "The Snarks".Stephanie moved to Burlington in the 1980's. Early on she enrolled in a Church Street Center adult course on wild mushrooms, because she wanted to connect with people who shared her deep interest in mycology. While working for physician Dr. Lucy, she was able to continue with her love of the arts, nature, gardening, mushroom hunting, cats, and volunteer work. She was an active supporter of the UVM Horticultural Farm, the Burlington Youth Orchestra, the Champlain Valley Folk Festival, the Vermont Flower Show, and Elder Education and Enrichment. Husband Don supported her carefully curated home garden, which was on the Flynn Theatre Garden Tour, and she supported Don in his volunteer work for the Saint Albans Museum.Stephanie had an acerbic wit, and was not afraid to say what she thought. Her final years were spent at the Residence at Shelburne Bay, where she was on several committees. She continued to support the many causes she believed in, including women's rights, and had a deep interest in world events right to the end.The family wishes to thank Stephanie's many friends who visited her after her injury. The family is also thankful for the care and compassion received from the medical teams at UVM Medical Center, Elderwood at Burlington, and Bayada Home Health Care.There will be a memorial service on Wednesday August 23 at 3pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, 1250 Spear Street, South Burlington 05403 - where Stephanie and Don were married in 1996.

Nancy loved trout fishing, spending time with her dogs, grandchildren, and family. Halloween was her favorite holiday. She also loved scary movies and shopping. She is survived by one daughter, Penelope Parah (Mark Karas) of Burlington, VT and four grandchildren, Ryan Parah of Mooers, NY, Danyelle Dragoon (Daniel) of Mooers, NY, Carissa Parah of Mooers, NY, Madison Parah of Alburgh, VT. 6 great-grandchildren, along with 3 sisters, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.A Remembrance Gathering will be held later this summer. As an alternative to flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Franklin County Animal Rescue.
