Soucy Sr and late Huguette (Audette) Soucy. Bernadette had a heart of pure gold and was a caring friend. She enjoyed coloring and was at her happiest listening to music, especially Enrique Eglesias and Prince & loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed long car rides where she could reminisce about the good old days. Bernadette is survived by her sisters; Bernadine Spooner and husband, Kevin of New Bedford, Bernice Blanchette and husband, Marc of Dartmouth; brother, Alfred P. Soucy Jr; niece, Jessica Spooner and fiance, Ryan Szargowicz; nephew and godchild, Adam Spooner, and other nephews, Matthew Blanchette, Jordan Soucy-Bowman; extended family, Arlene Mello-Spooner, Leonard Spooner, and Ann Bourke. A special thank you to the staff at Brando Woods of New Bedford especially Denise, Matt, Angel, Victor, Stephanie and many others for their kind and compassionate care & many friends made at Brandon Woods especially Fernanda, Susan, Carol, Donna, Evelyn, and many others. in accordance with her wishes, Bernadette will be cremated with private services to be held at a later date.

He was born in Boston to the late William Murphy and the late Phyllis (St. Martin) Murphy. He served in the Air Force for many years. He loved Sunday services at Immanuel Baptist Church with his Christian brothers and sisters and where he also served as a Deacon. He enjoyed golfing, watching golf, playing blackjack, watching all the Boston sports teams with his son and Sunday dinners. He is survived by Nancy (Irwin) Murphy, his son, Daniel Murphy and wife Tiffany, daughter, Kathleen (Murphy) Airhart and husband Charles, and grandchildren; Shelly Murphy, Derek Airhart, and Matt Airhart. In accordance with his wishes, William will be cremated with services at a later date.

Eric previously volunteered for the City of New Bedford Emergency Management. Eric is survived by his companion, Tracey; mother, Louise (Duclos) Nobrega and companion, Randall Gifford; his father, David Nobrega and wife, Jennifer A; maternal grandmother, Jacqueline Duclos; loving step-sons, Devin Ouimet, Nicholas Ouimet; Sister, Jennifer Nobrega and fiancé, Jeff Murray; step-grandchildren, Julien Ouimet, Carter Ouimet; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather William Duclos and his paternal grandparents, Jose & Delores Nobrega. Born in Fall River on July 5, 1958, Kim was the daughter of the late Mary Curt (Fleck) and Gerald Curt. Kim grew up in Somerset, MA where she was a 1976 graduate of Somerset High School and was a member of the Hall of Fame Field Hockey Team of 1975. She owned a successful children’s home daycare where she impacted the lives of many and loved watching them and their families grow, many of whom she remained in contact with until she passed. She also enjoyed and fondly remembered her years coaching softball and attending her children’s’ sporting events. She was a proud mother and cherished her children very much.
Kim will be remembered as loving, caring, kind, and those that had the joy of knowing her, know she had a huge heart. She was the kind of person who would do anything to make someone else’s day easier, even when she was going through difficult times herself. Kim loved knitting, cooking, springtime and lilac season, and spending time and chatting with her dear friends Heidi Snell Pelletier and Marie Amaral. She will be forever loved and missed by all that knew her.
Kim is survived by her 3 children: Andrew Parker and his wife Jennifer Pimental, Lindsey Parker and her partner Rob Hooper, and Cady Parker, all of New Bedford. She is also survived by her grandson, Jacob Parker, whom she adored, as well as her sister and best friend, Susan Cote, brother Jay Curt, and brother Steven Curt and his wife Kathy Curt. Kim was also the sister of the late Sandra Curt. In addition, former husband Gregory Parker, sister-in-law MaryLee Parker, niece Janille Jeremie, nephew Jeremy Boutin, and late mother-in-law Hervina Parker were all dearly loved by Kim.

Many of her days and nights were spent bowling or out on the dance floor where she loved to square dance. Lucinda is survived by her son, Gregory Matthews; daughter, Chris Dumont; brother, George Rezendes; grandchildren, Jami Tripp, Kelsey Machado; great grandchildren, Jalee, Ember, Freya; lifelong friends, Lorraine, Jeannie, Sandy, and Linda. She is preceded in death by her son, Wayne J. Matthews; siblings, John, Joe, Ernest, Tony, Josephine, and Elvira "Vee". Lucinda's Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Parish in E. Grandsons, Christopher Cabral, Clifford Cabral and many nieces and nephews. Testa. She was a stitcher for Calvin Clothing Company for many years and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church.
Survivors include son, Gil Rodrigues Jr., of New Bedford, daughters; Maria Jose Costa of New Bedford and Ana Maria Poeira of New Bedford, sisters; Diamantina Gonsalves of South Dartmouth and Olivia Tremblay of New Bedford, 7 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held for Maria on Monday, June 13th at 11am at St. John Cemetery.
The family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer's Association as an expression of sympathy instead of flowers.

She was the daughter of the late George and Helena (Zakareados) Jimoulis and wife of the late Gregory Kronteres. Born in New Bedford, Catherine spent her life on the Southcoast where she was a graduate of New Bedford High School class of 1939. She went on to earn her Junior Secretarial Diploma from the Kinyon School in 1941. Both these academic accomplishments were significant achievements at a time when female high school and higher education rates were less than 35%. Catherine went on to become the owner of both the Olympic Restaurant and Greg’s Restaurant before taking her last position in the Dining Hall at Southeastern Massachusetts University, now UMass Dartmouth. She was a dedicated communicant of St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church. Catherine enjoyed watching her great-grandchildren Adam, Ava, Chace, and Lainey play in the backyard, spending time with her dedicated and constant companion, a 17-year-old poodle named Elliott, and taking trips to the beach. Survivors include her son, James Kronteres and wife Helen of Dartmouth; daughter-in-law, Deborah Kronteres; Catherine’s wonderful grandchildren and their families, including 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Catherine is preceded in death by her son, William (Bill) Kronteres, and her daughter Georgia McDonald.

Throughout his life, John was member Acushnet Planning Board, a life member of the Acushnet VFW, was the President of the Jolly Seniors of Acushnet, on the board of the Council on Aging in Acushnet, worked at the Acushnet Water Dept, and was Shop Steward for the UAW. He is survived by his son, John Carvalho Jr and wife, Lorraine Marie of Freetown; daughter, Doreen Gregory and husband, Dana of New Bedford; Grandchildren, Brian K Carvalho, Melissa Massee, Michael P Carvalho, Craig A Gregory, Meaghan Gregory; great grandchildren, Brandon, Emma, Levi, Jesse and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death his brother, Joseph Jardin and sisters, Alice Pereira, Carrie Sousa, and Clara Allain. A visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11 from 5-8pm at the Boulevard Funeral Home, 223 Ashley Blvd. His Funeral Mass will be said Thursday, May 12th at 11:30am, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Acushnet. Obituary Preview: Hilária Ribeiro Rocha, 81, of New Bedford,passed away on April 20,2022 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Arnaldo Alberto. Hilária was born in Cortiços, Portugal and was the daughter of the late Leonor and João Rocha. Hilária, known more affectionately as “Neca” by family and friends, was a talented seamstress, baker and cook.
For the 1st half of her life, Hilária lived with her husband and children in Macedo de Cavaleiros, Portugal where she was highly sought after for her seamstress skills and would make the school uniforms for the city schools and many other clients in the area. As a baker, she also had many dedicated patrons who would come to her home for her homemade sourdough bread, amazing meat folares and pastries. She was an amazing cook. No one could replicate her amazing dishes. She loved to cook for the family and her children cherished the weekly Sunday dinner gatherings that took place for many years.
For the 2nd half of her life, she emigrated to the US with her family to seek a better future for her 5 children. She had worked as a seamstress at Cliftex Corporation until her retirement. She was a lifelong soccer and Benfica fan.
In her later years, her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren who all called her Vovó “Neca”. She helped raise many of her grandkids during their primary years. She had a heart of gold and her children are forever grateful for the unconditional love she showed them.
She is survived by her children; Joe Rocha and his wife Gina, Connie Rocha-Mimoso, Hilária Sousa and her husband Octavio, Arnaldo Rocha, Elisabete Rocha-Medeiros and her husband Michael; 8 grandchildren, Nadia Pereira, Catarina Rocha, Tiago Mimoso, Marcelo Rocha, Claudio Rocha, Gabriela Rocha-Medeiros, Juliana Sousa and Adriano Sousa; 1 great-child Zara Hilária Pereira. She is predeceased by her siblings Candida Valverde and Placido Rocha, and is survived by her siblings Bernardino Rocha, João Rocha, Fernanda Rocha, Leonor Vinagre, Flávio Rocha, and Nair Honrado as well as several nieces and nephews in the US and Portugal. Her Funeral Mass will be said Tuesday, April 26th at Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception Church at 9am. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday evening from 5-8pm
