Keith D. Rabideau - January 26, 1955 - April 01, 2024

Departed: 04/01/2024 (Pascoag)
Obituary Preview: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith D. Rabideau, 69, who departed from this world on Monday, April 1, 2024 at his home in Harrisville, embraced by his unwavering faith. Keith and his beloved wife, Jayne M. (Baxter) Rabideau, were married on March 31, 1979, and had just celebrated their 45th anniversary. Born in Providence, he was the oldest son of his late parents, Philip and Pauline (Bessette) Rabideau.
For many years, Keith worked as a cook at Zambarano Hospital in Pascoag, but after some time, his job became taking care of his family. In addition to his cherished wife, Jayne, Keith leaves his eldest son Gerren Rabideau and fiancée Jessica Truxillo of Jenks, OK along with their children Joshua and Adelina. Keith leaves another son Ryan Rabideau and his wife Julia Monaghan of Salem, MA; and a daughter Michelle Martin along with her husband Dan of Tolland, CT.
Keith's presence will also be deeply missed by his brother, Scott P. Rabideau of Pascoag, and his sisters: Cheryl A. Curtis of Glendale, AZ; Kelly C. Hammerschlag of Putnam, CT; and Lisa M. Rabideau of Harrisville.
Keith was a man of diverse passions and talents. He found immense joy in his hobbies including restoring antique radios, each one a testament to his love for preserving the past. He often remarked that he was born in the wrong decade. His soul resonated with the timeless melodies of oldies music, and he could often be found singing along to his favorite tunes. Few things brought him as much delight as turning up the volume in his Subaru Brat while driving around town or riding his Panzer tractor, whose engine he said played “Build me up Buttercup” all on its own. He engaged in regular card games with family and earned a reputation for his daring bids in blouette. Keith's love extended not only to his family but also to his beloved pets, particularly his late dog, Chewy, who held a special place in his heart.
With a heart as vast as his sense of humor, Keith had a gift for finding joy in the simplest of moments. He loved nothing more than making himself laugh and brightening the lives of those around him with his humor. His knack for giving people nicknames was a reflection of his boundless affection and playful spirit. In addition to his numerous interests, Keith's life was enriched by his appearances in several films, including "The Polka King," "Son of Frankenstein," and "Saving Christmas."
A Mass of Christian Burial for Keith will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11 AM in St. Patrick's Church, 45 Harrisville Main St., Harrisville. Inurnment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Pascoag Main St., Pascoag. Calling hours will be Tuesday, April 9 from 4 to 7 PM.  Arrangements are entrusted to the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. www.boucherfh.com

Robert "Bob" P. Karmozyn - June 04, 1941 - February 23, 2024

Departed: 02/23/2024 (Pascoag)
Obituary Preview: Robert Paul Karmozyn, (1941-2024) of Lake Worth Florida and formerly (for 75 years) of Burrillville, RI, passed away at the age of 82 on Friday, February 23, 2024, in Palm Beach, FL. with his wife Patricia Karmozyn (Tanguay), at his side and holding his hand, as she had for over 60 marvelous married years.
Bob was born in Woonsocket, RI, and was raised in Burrillville, where he later went on to raise his own family. Bob was the eldest son of (the late) John and Yvette (Anger) Karmozyn. Bob had a joyful childhood where he spent time, along with his brothers Billy (late) and Mike, working in his family’s restaurant and playing sports. He was a talented athlete and excelled in hockey, leading his Burrillville High School team to state and New England championship wins. Bob and Pat first met at Burrillville High School where they were high school sweethearts. Following in his father’s footsteps, Bob built, managed and operated his restaurant, Bobby K's in Glendale. After selling the restaurant, Bob began a new career at Vocational Resources, a non-profit, assisting special needs adults, where he remained until retirement. Throughout his professional career, Bob was beloved for the patience and kindness he showed colleagues, clients and friends.
Bob was a hard worker, a patient guide and teacher, and a devoted, loving father, husband and grandfather. He was a dutiful host known for taking his holiday responsibilities seriously. These included (under Pat’s direction) festooning their home with decorations and each year cutting down and setting up an enormous Christmas tree rivaled in size (we liked to think) only by the one in Rockefeller Center. Regardless of the season, he created a sense of holiday with his calm demeanor, kind words, wry humor & his impersonation of the tickle monster. He had many interests including coaching youth hockey, travel, especially to national parks, walking the beach, playing Sudoku, visiting with friends and family, enjoying a glass of red wine and chocolate, chocolate cake, brownies and chocolate ice cream. Bob was well-known at his local ice cream venue. An avid golfer, he was still teeing off and teaching his grandchildren to golf at the age of 81. He had a naturally curious mind and accepted challenges from sophisticated home improvement projects to painting zebras and carving intricate birds from specially selected wood. After retiring from work, Bob and Pat never stopped for the next 16 years: golfing with friends, exploring the Great Wall of China, visiting Hawaii, meeting the penguins in Patagonia; and they always celebrating their wedding anniversaries in Ogunquit.
Bob will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known this good-hearted man. He was a kind and loving father to Scott and his wife Michelle Karmozyn of Greenwood Village, CO; Kim Karmozyn and her husband George Arghyrakis of London, UK; Mark Karmozyn of Chepachet, RI; and Bethany Kapadia and her husband Ketan of Westport, CT. He was also a devoted grandfather to Lucy, Emmett,Theodore, Eve, Wyatt, Hugh, and Surali and great-granddaughter Rosalie. His grandchildren relished the wild, creative games he played with them as children, from roaring as the Lion King to his direction that his granddaughter watch a toe on her foot for him which earned him the nickname Toe Bob, to lessons in golf and hockey. He was even so good-natured as to answer to the name of Grandma Bob to his young grandson. Bob was quiet, but he always managed to get the kids "all riled up" and screeching with delight. He will be sorely missed by sister-in-law Sandra Barden of Harrisville, RI, his brother Michael (John) Karmozyn, of North Palm Beach, Florida, his cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Bob was a good listener who gave you a little slice of his undivided attention and let you feel heard, leaving everyone who met Bob to say what a good guy and a nice man he was. It felt good to be near him, because Bob, Bobby K, Uncle Bob, Toe Bob, Grandma Bob, well, he was that rare man who was happy with his life.

William "Bill" A. Landry - April 25, 1945 - February 02, 2024

Departed: 02/02/2024 (Pascoag)
Obituary Preview: William "Bill" A. Landry, 78, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Donna (George) Landry. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late William A. and Donelda (Morse) Landry Sr.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Bill leaves behind his daughters: Kimberly Wayland and Gayle George; his son-in-law, Troy Wayland; his grandchildren Spencer and Wyatt and his nephew, Dennis Sherman. He was predeceased by his sister, Eileen.
Bill worked for Allstate Gas, The Providence Gravura Inc. and Spieldel over many years. He is as special as he is loved as the following testament will show: During July 1973, with his lovely wife of 2 years...Donna... my sister and beautiful daughter, Kim,11 months old, experienced a family tragedy. His wife's mother passed away. He then, without hesitation, took on the full responsibility of taking in his youngest sister-in-law, at the age of 3...which was me, Gayle. I believe that without Bill, I would not be the person I am today. He worked hard to support us while finding time to coach our softball teams, teaching us how to fish and how to be responsible. He made the best home fries on Sundays. He loved welcoming a son-in-law, Troy, into the family, which made his daughter so happy. He cared about Kim's and Gayle's friends that were brought into his life. He loved and supported every single one of his sisters-in-law and brothers-in law, their children and grandchildren. Donna always said he loved the idea that when he got involved with her he was gaining a huge family! He didn't have that growing up and he loved the whole lot of us "crazies". Each one of us was a part of his heart...and if you're reading this then you know who you are...you know how he was always there. His favorite times were the days when we all got together and had a crazy summer cookout or a loud Christmas Eve. He enjoyed watching new family members be welcomed into the family and hearing stories that we shared with him of everyone's accomplishments. He loved watching sports and talking to anyone about that game from last night. He loved his newspaper and seeing someone's name in it that he knew would make him beam and tell anyone in ear shot.
Wendy, Lynn, Joyce, Jesse and Walt; the Joly's with the Fourth of July cookouts or late night fishing on Wilson's Pond, the Peplers, the Allens, Beckwiths, Georges, Plantes, Trimbles, Wertzs, Shermans and Gabrielsons and all of the kids and families that have come from these names....if you are reading this, you know you held a place in his heart. But what Bill enjoyed the most was his two grandchildren, Spencer and Wyatt. He loved watching them when they were little; building legos and puzzles, playing card games, watching them run around... then as they grew; driving Spencer to her first job at Spring Lake, where he worked as a teen and telling her all about his "back in my day" stories, going to Wyatt's basketball games and cheering him on, seeing their accomplishments from grades to sports and clubs and knowing they would become amazing in life. There are so many that held a unique place in his heart that I could write a book....
Keep remembering the memories and stories. Share them with us and with each other. That is how we keep him with us always and forever. Bill's funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. However, Bill, with his quiet, tall nature, did not want a service, so instead, we will have a gathering...a cookout, at a later date, where we can all gather and drink a Bud, play some horseshoes and poker and share his love of us all. She touched the lives of so many that she knew and others who only knew her story. She was able to overcome obstacles in life with a huge smile on her face and a heart full of love. Every day we shared with her was a miracle. God truly must have needed an angel with the strongest, most beautiful smile.
