Obituary Preview: Kim Domyan, 62, of St. Clairsville, OH, passed away, Wednesday, April 13, 2022.
She was born on April 8, 1960, to the late Lou and Mary (Duill) Domyan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special brother in-law, Ed Bourg.
Kim loved sports and excelled at basketball, volleyball and softball while attending St. Clairsville High School. She enjoyed fishing and loved the Ohio State Buckeyes. She was a member of the St. Clairsville Moose Lodge 2504 where she was blessed with a family of wonderful friends that she loved dearly.
Kim is survived by four sisters, Sharon Bourg, of St. Charles, WV, Mary Lou (Ron) Spong, of Rayland, OH, Pat (Ty) Lollini, of Tiltonsville, OH and Melanie Domyan, of Columbus, OH. She was a proud aunt to 11 nieces and nephews and 13 great-nieces and nephews.
Kim was a warrior in a horrific battle with cancer. Per her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private family services will be conducted at the convenience of the family.

He was born June 18, 1953, in Steubenville, OH to the late Fred and Helen (Wade) Staats Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Staats and mother in-law, Sarah Crouch. Fred worked at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Mingo and the Coke Plant in Follansbee. He enjoyed playing the guitar and making wine. On Sundays, he loved to watch the Pittsburgh Steelers games and baking his famous pies.  His true passion was his family. He loved being with family and friends. Fred will be greatly missed!
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Tracy (Crouch) Staats; his son, Brandon (Christy) Staats; two daughters, Jodee (Travis) DeVault and Sarah Staats (Jonathan); a sister, Mary (Adolph) Nagler; Sister in-law, Brenda Staats; eight grandchildren; a nephew; two nieces; his dog, Dollar; his cat, Sissy and his best friend, Jay (Lisa) George.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Fred and celebrate his life on Friday, April 15th, from 2-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and again on Saturday, from 11 am until the time of service of 1pm, with Pastor Jim Monogious officiating.
A luncheon will follow the service and the family would like for everyone to join them in fellowship.

Sophie was born on October 1, 1927, in Piney Fork, OH, to the late Mike and Caroline (Kozub) Slezak.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, of 60 years, Jerry Lucarelli; her son, Jerry Lucarelli; two brothers, Mike and Andy Slezak and two sisters, Mary Kurtz and Ann Stillwagon. Sophie loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was very kind and easy going with a big heart. However, she was ornery and witty and would say what was on her mind. She loved playing the lottery and was the lottery “Bookie” for the family. Sophie was dearly loved and will be missed greatly!
She is survived by her daughter, Barb (Larry) Deluca, of Rayland; three sons, Donald “Bones” (Patricia) Lucarelli, of Yorkville, OH, Gary “Cubby” (Barbara) Lucarelli, of Adena, OH and Larry (Tina) Lucarelli, of Harrisville, OH; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Frances (Magnone) Orizczak, 92, of Yorkville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Park Health Center in St. Clairsville, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 16, 1929, in Yorkville, a daughter of the late Nick and Giovanni (Pate) Magnone.
Frances was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and Mema.
In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her loving husband John Orizczak of 63 years, brothers, James, Anthony, and William Magnone and sisters, Mary Travaglino, Rose Magnone, Josephine (Peppy) Parry, and her grandson, Bradley Joseph Closser.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Blair) Closser of Yorkville, her son, John (Molly) Orizczak of Rayland and her sister-in-law, Eva (Orizczak) Barkhurst of Adena. Frances loved her 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Frances was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Tiltonsville, Ohio, Catholic Daughters of America, Yorkville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and Yorkville V.F.W. Post # 4811 Women’s Auxiliary. Frances loved her family and loved cooking and baking for them. Her spaghetti and meatballs, monkey bread, pumpkin bread, and pistachio cake were some of her favorite dishes to make. Frances was a very religious, kind, and giving lady. Everyone who knew her loved her.
Friends will be received on Thursday, April 7, from 10-12 P.M. at Borkoski Funeral Home in Tiltonsville, Ohio. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be at 12:30 pm, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, Ohio, with Father William Cross officiating. Interment will follow at Upland Cemetery.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Richard L. Hunker Sr.
Lorretta was a member of the Rayland Volunteer Fire Department for 27 years serving as Treasurer for 24 years. She also served 20 years as a Council Woman for the Village of Rayland, before serving as the first female Mayor of Rayland. Additionally, she was a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, Post 4811.
Lorretta is survived by a daughter, Brenda Staats, three sons, Rich (Roxanne) Hunker, Gary Hunker and Don (Kathy) Hunker; two brothers; five sisters; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Lorretta and celebrate her life on Monday, April 4th, from 2-4 & 6-8, and Tuesday, April 5th from 2-4 & 6-8, at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH.

She was born August 20, 1947, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late John Joseph and Dorothy Pearl (Hartline) Finney.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Eldred Lee Finney and Loretta Mae Gschwender Finney and maternal grandparents, Colonel and Lola Pearl (May) Hartline.
Loretta was a 1965 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and was a lifelong member of Mt. Pleasant High School Alumni Association. After graduating from Wheeling Hospital School of Registered Nurses, she worked for 35 years at Wheeling Hospital, working most of those years in the Intensive Care Unit, and was a member of the Wheeling Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Association. Loretta also taught EMT’S/Paramedics for West Virginia Northern Community College. She worked for various Ambulance Services throughout the Valley, making emergency transfers, a Director of Nurses at a nursing home and a 23-year member of Jefferson County Agricultural Society. Loretta was a polio patient from the polio epidemic of 1952. She struggled physically throughout her life and ended up in a wheelchair.
Loretta is survived by her son, Daniel (Renee) Finney; two grandsons, Tyler Mostia and Nathan Finney; two brothers, Michael (Gail) Finney and Timothy (Sharon) Finney; two sisters, Cecilia (Rick) Biram and Christina (David) Franks and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Loretta and celebrate her life on Friday, April 1st, from 5-8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH and on Saturday from 10 am until the time of service of 11 am.

John served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a former employee of Ohio Ferro Alloy Corporation for 17 years. He later retired from AEP Cardinal Plant with 27 years of service. He was a life member of the Volunteer Tiltonsville Fire Department, a life member of American Legion Dillonvale,  a  member of the Masonic Lodge 181, Bridgeport, OH, Weyer Chapter O.E.S., 515, Scottish Rite and a member of the Tiltonsville United Methodist Church.
John is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley (Phillips) Dietrich; two boys, John Dietrich III (Cindy)and James R. Dietrich (Melissa) and four grandchildren, John (Maria), Joshua (Cara), Jessica and Amanda (Craig) and a great-granddaughter, Aerial.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to John and celebrate his life on Sunday, March 27th, from 2-4 & 7-9, at the Borkoski Funeral home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Masonic services at 3 pm and Fire Department services at 7 pm, and on Monday, 11 am until the time of service of 12 noon, with Pastor Kevin Dougherty.

Geno was a graduate of Adena High School, class of 1969 and worked for 37 years in the railroad industry, 20 of them with Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway. He was also a former member of the Adena Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his four brothers, twin brother Bob Thompson, Claude Thompson, Stanley Potkoski Jr and Stephen Potkoski and his sister, Shirley Thompson.

Marian Rose Stabile - July 12, 1931 - February 24, 2022

Obituary Preview: Marian Rose Stabile (Mastrantonio) 90 passed away peacefully in her sleep transitioning to a better place on Thursday February 24, 2022, at her son’s home in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Marian a first-generation Italian American was born on July 12, 1931, to the late Sabatino (Sam) and Emma (Ciocca) Mastrantonio the youngest of the three children in Bellaire Ohio.  The family moved to Clarington Ohio when 8 and started a business called the Washington Inn.   Marian was preceded in death by her infant son Anthony, husband Nick, sister Helen and brothers Robert and Ezio.  Marian called the house they built 61 years ago home, along with her beloved husband Nick Alex Stabile whom she married on July 12, 1953. Marian’s legacy continues through Bruce & Brenda (Ferguson), Tony & Judy (McCutcheon), surviving grandchildren: Courtland, Cassidi, Alex, Calvin, Erich & Caitlyn (Amberg), with great grandchildren Emmy and new arrival Tate Nickolas. Marian’s career began after graduating in 1952 from the Ruth Brant School of Nursing in Martins Ferry Ohio. She went on to work at the Bellaire Hospital and found her niche in surgery as a surgical nurse. She was very proud of her ability to coach and mentor surgical technique to students.  Memories she talked about, being called out at 3 am for emergency surgery on a nasty snowy night with a full state and city police escort to assure she made it and during the floods, spending hours trying to find the back road routes to get home.  After a pause to be a stay-at-home mom, she returned to the nursing profession as a plant infirmary Nurse for both the Wheeling Pittsburg Steel Plants in Yorkville and Martins Ferry.    Over the years Marian and Nick raised over 20 Arabian show horses and was actively involved with 4-H. She enjoyed sewing, meeting with friends, taking bus tours and cooking the Italian favorites. Marian was an active member of the Tiltonsville Saint Joseph Catholic Parish, Holy Name Society and spent many a year’s volunteering at the Wheeling Soup Kitchen and Valley Hospice. She loved the church, community, family and having a cup of coffee, glass of wine and breakfast waiting for Nick. Visitation will be on Friday March 11th from 4 – 8, at the Borkoski Funeral Home 337 Jefferson St. Tiltonsville, Ohio. 43963, with a vigil service at 4:30 pm, with Father William Cross. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Saturday, 12:30 pm, at the Tiltonsville Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church with following burial at the Hopewell Cemetery in the Stabile Family plot.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond A; a daughter, Jeanette Pontia; a grandson, Jason Pontia; and a brother, John Schuller.
Pat is survived by her daughter Debra (Steve) Norman, and her two sons, Raymond M (Vivian) and David (Dianne) Pontia.  She is also survived by nine grandchildren:  Steven (Karen) Norman, Shayla (Daniel) Goforth; Amanda (Daniel) Spenn, Brenda Pontia, Christina Dykstra; Jenilee, Jillian and Juliette McNamara; and Margot Pontia.  Seven great-grandchildren, Haileigh and Chayston Dykstra, Brecken Austin; Alex and Landon Norman; and Blayne and Miles Goforth, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pontia graduated from Yorkville High School in 1951 and then from the Ruth Brant School of Nursing.  She received her BS degree at the California University of PA and her MA degree from WVU.  She was a former nursing instructor at Belmont Technical College who loved teaching.  She always asked her students to "Treat every patient as if your own family member".
She was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Martins Ferry, Ohio.
The family would like to thank Ronda Tipton for giving 16 years of loving care to Ray, and then to Pat.  Ronda has been our blessing.
A private service was held in the Parkview Memorial Gardens & Mausoleum in Wheeling, WV, with the Rev. Tom Thomas officiating.  A Celebration of her Life will be held in the Spring.  Borkoski Funeral Home in Tiltonsville, OH is entrusted with arrangements.

She was born October 11, 1928, in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late Joseph and Mary (Klein) Bazar Sr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Lefty" George; eight brothers, Charles, Raymond, Thomas, Joseph, Frank, Donald, George and William Bazar and four sisters, Mary Shemenski, Goldie Gray, Violet Padglek and Helen Doughty.
Delores was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She belonged to St Joseph Ladies Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of America. Delores’s true passion was her family.  She loved to cook and bake for them and was an outstanding seamstress.  Above all, she was the perfect example of loving unconditionally, and generously shared her infinite wisdom and guidance. Her unwavering faith was an inspiration to others. She enjoyed spending time in her garden and completed hundreds of puzzles in more recent years.  Delores was loved by all; those who knew her, thought of her as an angel on earth.  She will be greatly missed.
Delores is survived by three daughters, Judy (Randy) Gaudio, Jacqueline (Frank) Hinkle and June (Darin) Meeker; four sons, Carl (Krystine) George, Jerry (Anna) George, Steve George (Dianne Savage) and Tommy (LeAnne) George; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; beloved caretaker, Louann Hill and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received to pay tribute to Delores and celebrate her life on Sunday, January 2nd, from 2-8 pm, at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Vigil Services at 4 pm, with Father William Cross.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be Monday, Jan 3rd, 10 am, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Delores’ name.
Interment will be held at Upland Cemetery.

She was an entrepreneur, having owned and run her own business (McKnight Enterprises) and a former office manager and administrator with Picoma Industries, Martins Ferry, OH, Shamrock Conduit Products, Barnesville, OH, and Streski Reporting & Video Service, Wheeling, WV, from where she retired, at age 82.
Clara was a dog lover: she spent many weekends with her son David and daughter-in-law Yvonne, helping them organize and run dog agility competitions throughout Central Ohio. She provided a loving home to a variety of 4 legged companions throughout her life.
Clara was also very engaged in the community: she was a member and past President of the East Ohio Regional Hospital Auxiliary, an active Member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiltonsville, OH, Secretary of the St. Joseph Auxiliary and the St. Francis Society, and Lector and Eucharist Minister at St, Joseph Church.
