He attended school at Grape St, Markham, and Carson High School.  He attended the University of Kansas where he played basketball.  Darin was a victimless participant of gang violence in Watts, but because he was raised in the church – Holy Chapel MBC, Darin decided to change his life around, and preach to his family and friends about how to stay out of gangs.  Proud to say, none of his sisters, brothers, neither nieces, nor nephews are in a gang. Darin is survived by his mother Rosetta Martin, his father Lee C. Martin, his children Devon, Darin, Diamond.  His grandchildren;  Dominic, Dahnia, Desiray.  Sisters and brothers; Linda Pickett, Larry Martin, Mary Martin, Michelle Smith, Matasha Williams, Brandon Martin, Terry Martin, Nakea Martin, and DaAnthony Martin.  Brother in laws: Tony Smith Sr., Arthur Williams, and Johnny Pickett. Stepmom Tonya Candler. If you were lucky enough to be in her circle you were very BLESSED to have her in your life…she was very LOVING & had a BIG HEART… the past 25 years. she had many health issues but it never stopped her from LIVING, LOVING &  making people LAUGH…she was GOOD ENERGY to everyone  who was lucky enough to be around her at one time or another… she had a FUNNY & LOVING way about her that was so entertaining…she was a very unique individual who even with all her health issues didn’t let anything stop her…she had determination like no other…ALWAYS trying to fix her broken body little by little…she could hardly see or hear…but again she kept on going like an energizer battery…she was a one of a kind UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL who was VERY SPECIAL… you can almost say she was like a special needs person with a lot of DETERMINATION…she was a WOMAN of her word…she always followed through & never gave up on trying to put her life back together…she is now FREE of all her pain & suffering…she was an ANGEL in Disguise with the ability to bring LOVE, JOY, HAPPINESS & A GOOD LAUGH to everyone around her…she was a good Mother, Grandmother, Auntie & Friend…her Character & all the LOVE she gave will be missed immensely.

Obituary Preview: Edward Melendez went to be with God Friday, March 10, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born April 5, 1936 in New York City, NY,  to William and Ventura Melendez, the sixth of ten children.
Edward proudly served his country in the United States Army from August 1953 to August 1956, plus an additional three years in the New York National Guard.
He married Maria Dolores Ortiz in 1956 in New York and raised two sons, Glenn and William. Edward worked in law enforcement for 32 years; first in New York and then in California where he and his family moved in 1969. Edward remarried Chrys C. Trask in 1979 and became a father to her two children, Lisa and Adam. He loved his family; cars of all kinds; John Wayne and traveling, especially to Hawaii, which he considered the home of his heart.
Edward is survived by his wife of 37 years, Chrys C. Melendez; three sons, Glenn K. Melendez, William E. Melendez and Adam T. Trask; one daughter Lisa A. Trask. Three grandchildren Milan Sanchez, Gabrielle and Giovann Melendez. One great grandchild Sienne Sanchez. Five brothers, William, Rudy, Raymond, Joseph and George. Two sisters, Nellie and Dorothy as well as many nieces and nephews who loved their “Uncle Eddie”. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ventura; first wife Maria and brothers Gilbert and Frank Melendez.
A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Thursday, March 23rd., at 11:30 am.

Obituary Preview: Ilsa Galbreath, was borning Nov. 19, 1931. She was born in Brazil and was raised on a farm where she met my father Alcido Eninger. At age 23 they got married and moved to Gramado, Brazil. They had 6 kids, 3 boys and 3 girls: Luiz Carlos, João, Marta, Regina, Susana, and Germano. Ilsa and her family then moved to Lawndale, California Dec, 22, 1968. Here she raised her six children.
Later in life she remarried to a wonderful man, Doug Galbreath, where they lived in Hawthorne, California. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and fishing. They both belonged to the Rod and Gun Club, the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars), and the American Legion. Here my mom made many friends. Every Sunday they would all go to breakfast club. She enjoyed that very much.
We celebrated her 85th birthday in November and she danced the night away. She passed Dec. 26th, 2016. -Her son, Germano Nico Eninger Natalie Eninger It's the little things. The small, everyday occurrences that I will always remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. My grandmother loved puzzles. My fondest moments with my grandmother were weekends i would spend the night and we would work on her puzzles. Mornings, she would work on her garden. My goodness how she loved her garden! She would always proudly show her blooming flowers and gorgeous red tomatoes . My grandmother was a beautiful happy soul that always wore her heart on her sleeve. She was so many things to so many people. We have all lost such a special person, but she left a legacy and instilled her love and values on her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. My grandmother lived a long happy life. She was always the life of the party and she made an impact on the world around her, spreading smiles, kindness, and warmth everywhere she went. Although kind,  My grandma was also a very strong woman. She was a fighter, no one could tell her no. We may no longer see her but we’ll always have these special moments we shared with her. She will always have a special part in our hearts
She will greatly be missed by all.

His last day was spent surrounded by his wife and loved ones enjoying a beautiful and peaceful day of fishing at Big Bear Lake on the boat catching big rainbow trout.             He was born in California on June 28th 1962, where he was raised on a farm and spent a lot of time as a child pig farming which is where he learned the true meaning of hard work.              Once he turned 18 he moved to South Lake Tahoe where he started his career in engineering and met his first wife Tammy and started a family. His son Travis was born on November 11th 1987.              In 1996 Tracy moved back to California with his soon to be second wife Christine and two step daughters Summer and Catrina. In year 2000 they relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada for his career. In 2007 he opened his own company Las Vegas Building Commissioning with his family and moved to Boulder City, Nevada where he eventually retired after 30 years of being one of the most highly respected engineers in his field.                 More than anything Tracy loved spending time with his family, close friends and dog Koko. His favorite hobbies and past time was going boating, fishing, camping, gardening, golfing and watching football and Nascar.                  He was an amazing husband, loving man, a generous friend and a mentor to many. He had a huge personality and was a comedian at heart. He enjoyed life to the fullest and will be truely missed by many!                    He is survived by his wife Christine his son Travis, two step daughters Summer and Catrina, two grandsons Deston and Arion, his mother Patsy, three sisters Stephanie, Colleen, Nancy and brother Don, numerous nieces and nephews and 5 great nephews.
