He was retired from Kentucky State Highway Department, he loved to hunt, fish, garden, his roses, celebrating his children’s birthdays, Larry was a very kind soul who loved all his family dearly and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Vicki Gay Smith; a son, Dillon Smith; his parents, Walter and Snowy Dawson Smith and a brother, Gary Smith.
Larry is survived by his wife, Darlene Minder Smith; a daughter, Christina Smith of Culvertown; three sons, Stephen “Stevie” Smith of Bardstown, Dustin Smith and Matt Smith both of Hodgenville; three sisters, Sandy (Scott) Coy of Hodgenville, Vanessa (Jack) Richardson and Betsy (Hardy) Bullock all of New Haven; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A  funeral service will be 7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Brian Adkins officiating. Visitation will be 3 to 7 Thursday.
Another funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Herald-Stewart- Halsy Funeral Home in West Liberty with Bro. Paul Keeton officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Burial will follow in Smith Creek Cemetery in West Liberty.

A master gardener, he was retired from GE; attended God’s House in Mt. Sherman and loved to hunt and fish.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John Brown Bunch and Arnetta Worner Bunch and a brother, Billy Bonds.
He is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Vint of Florida, Betty Byrd and Kathy Bunch, both of Willisburg; a brother, James Bunch of Mooresville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bros. Kenny Carter and Dale Warren officiating.  Burial will follow in Pleasant Ridge Church Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She loved singing in the senior choir at church, reading, horses and being with her grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gerner; a daughter, Tamara Brautigan; her parents, Paul Allen and Gladys Oliver Hughes and a brother, Thomas E. Hughes.
She is survived by three sisters, Sharon (Gilbert) Richardson and Paula (Kieth) Hughes Richardson, all of Hodgenville and Debbie (John) Beck of San Antonio, TX; four step-daughters, Diane Feldman and Dona Brown, both of Ft. Thomas, Debbie Rottman of Edgewood and Dana Gerner of Union; three grandchildren, Andrew Barker, Jennifer Barker and Christopher Brautigan; two special friends, Glenda Burba and Jean Perkins; several step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. Rodney Rogers officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at St. Stephens Cemetery in Ft. Thomas with Nick Rottman officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Addison Barnes; unborn son, Axel Blake Everett Barnes; a daughter, Linda Gail Alexandria Barnes; a son, Levi Everett Barnes; his mother, Mary (Chris) Lambright, and grandparents, Wilma and Tommy Allen, Terry And Kathy Barnes; his father, Jared Barnes; a sister, Meadow Barnes, and a brother, Kyle Barnes, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Billy Curle officiating. Burial will follow in Middle Creek Church Cemetery.

He was born December 9, 1923, in Howardstown. He was a member of Hardin County First United Baptist Church and retired from Firestone in Elizabethtown. Russell served in the United States Navy on the USS Tennessee during WWII, he was in six major battles.
Russell was preceded in death by his by his first wife, Minnie Thompson DeSpain; his second wife, Rosa Witten DeSpain and his third wife, Zella Ann Gent DeSpain; a son, Arley Leo DeSpain; his parents, William Thomas and Nora Alice DeSpain; four brothers, Grady, Harold, Kenneth and Eugene DeSpain; seven sisters, Edna Quillen, Anna Lewis, Mildred Mather Wright, Margie Avalon, Thelma Dean Brown Owens, Alma Lucille Milburn and Carrie Lee Kidd; a step-daughter, Betty Roberts and his step-father Robert M. Perkins.
He is survived by a son, Larry DeSpain of Hodgenville; a daughter, Charlene (Paul) Hines Baumgardner of Hodgenville; a daughter-in-law, Delores DeSpain of Hodgenville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Ella Rea Watters of California.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville, Bro. Joe Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Baumgardner; her parents, Thomas and Dorothy Bradford Cotter and a brother, James Cotter.
She is survived by two daughters, Tracie (Dale) Davis of Hodgenville and Kelly (Reese) Byrd of Vidor, Texas; a son, Shane (Edith) Baumgardner of Abilene, Texas; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a sister, Judy Ayer of Carmel, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Bro. DeWayne Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.

She leaves nine surviving children, Owen McClough, DeWayne McClough, Johnnie (Shirley) Johnson, Anthony (Cassandra) McClough, Marshell Johnson-Wright, Mary Allice McClough, Sarah Johnson, Elizabeth (Bathea) Piggee and Karen (Shug) McClough; two brothers, James Johnson and Paul (Annie) Johnson; one sister, Brenda (Henry) Bennett; a daughter-in-law, Tracy McClough and a host of grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren.

William "Robert" Maynard - February 06, 1948 - April 06, 2024

Obituary Preview: William “Robert” Maynard, age 76, of Hodgenville, formerly of Inez, passed away, Saturday, April 6, 2024, surrounded by his family after suffering from a long battle with cancer. He was born February 6, 1948, to Hezekiah and Una Webb Maynard in Williamson, West Virginia. Robert went on to join the Unites States Navy where he served two years during Vietnam, he worked as a coal miner and also served as a Deputy Sheriff in Martin County, Robert was well known for refereeing basketball and umpiring baseball games, he was an avid lover of the University of Kentucky Wildcats Basketball, Robert had a contagious personality and everyone who knew him loved him. He married his high school sweetheart Judith Clay in 1968.
Robert was preceded by his wife of 49 years Judith Clay Maynard; a son, Willaim Howard Maynard; a granddaughter, Brooke Nicole Maynard; his parents; four sisters, Barbara Chaffin, Beulah Brewer, Winnie Carter and Helen Maynard; two brothers, Hershel and Arthur Pete Maynard.
He is survived by a son, Keith Bradley (Alesha) Maynard of Hodgenville; two grandsons, Seth Patrick of Inez and Kameron Preece of Radcliff; a special niece, Angela Friend of Galloway, Ohio; a special great-niece, Bekah Friend also of Galloway, Ohio; a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Robert was cremated, a celebration of life service with Military honors will be held at a later date.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hosparus of Central Kentucky for the excellent care they provided.

She is survived by two sons, Ricky (Cindy) Herron of Hodgenville and Dennis (Emily) Herron of Daytona Beach, FL; four grandchildren, Sarah (Alex) Pike, Jaide Herron, Sullie (Melissa) Herron and Savannah Herron and seven great-grandchildren,  Donovan Michael Ray Pike, Charlotte May Herron, Charles James Pike, Olivia June Herron, Georgia Rose Herron, Sophia Rose Pike and Jordan Silas Herron.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, April 5, at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville with Dennis Herron officiating.  Burial will follow in Red Hill Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She is survived by a son, Richard Sprowles of VanNuys, California; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Sprowles of Glasgow; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Taylors Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, 3761 Taylors Chapel Rd. Campbellsville.

Faith was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Beryl Bradley Anderson; her “grandma” Jeanie Layne, her “mammaw” Judy Sloas and numerous aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her son whom she was madly in love with, Bradley Johnson; her parents, Heather and Duane Johnson; siblings, CPT Chance (Hannah) Johnson, US Army, Hope (Andres) Pardo-Rivera, Christian (Jessica) Johnson and Amanda (Tadd) Gilmore; her paternal grandfather, SFC (Ret) Duane E. Johnson; her maternal grandmother, Beverly Johnson; her significant other, Joe Atkins; her “papaw”, Rick Layne and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen and the family will have a private celebration of life at a later date.
Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home in Hodgenville is assisting the family with the arrangements.

She is survived by two sons, John Self of Boston, MA and Glenn Sigl, two brothers, Cecil Mather of Hodgenville, Merritt Mather of Louisville; two sisters, Pat (Jim) Hatcher of Elizabethtown and Alice Rock of Elizabethtown.

Pearman, Jr., John Thomas “J.T.” Pearman, Virgil Lee Pearman, James Paul Pearman, Harold Dean Pearman, William Leonard “Buddy” Pearman and Charles Richard Pearman and two sisters, Mable Louise Bell and Evelyn Joyce Hedgespeth.
Jane is survived by her daughter, Angela (Terry) Peace of Magnolia; a brother, Joseph Eugene Pearman of Hodgenville and three sisters, Mary Catherine McGuffey of Hodgenville, Martha Belle Cloninger of Shelbyville and Gloria Mae Farmer of Radcliff.
She is also survived by and affectionately know as “Aunt Jane” to many precious nieces and nephews as well as many others that were blessed to know her over the years.
