Alisa D Yeazel - September 04, 1970 - February 14, 2024

Departed: 02/14/2024 (Arvada)
Obituary Preview: Alisa was born September 4th 1970, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. A typical middle child between her older brother Michael, and her younger sister Lori. She enjoyed being the center of sibling rivalry and excelled in such. The family moved to Florida in 1979 and she attended Gaither High School from 1986-1987. Alisa was an incredible soccer player, feared by her opponents and beloved by her teammates and coaches. She was an exciting player to watch on the field and her quick wit and tough attitude would sometimes get her in trouble with the referees. Alisa is especially known by all for her amazing sense of humor.
Her son Trevor, or Mister, as she called him was born in 1986, when Alisa was 16 and as a young mother she moved back to Colorato in 1987 with her family and graduated from Arvada West High School in 1988.
Alisa’s grandson Ryan, her pride and joy, was born in 2007. Alisa encouraged his love of sports and seafood and she lovingly called him The Craze. She was then blessed with three bonus grandchildren starting in 2018.
In 2009, Alisa met her husband Vince and they connected over their love of sports. Vince balances Alisa’s strong spirit and they have spent the last 15 years devoted to each other.
Her beloved son Trevor was killed in 2015 and Alisa was never quite the same. She channeled her grief to become an active member of Parents of Murdered Children and Compassionate Friends. The connections she gained from those organizations provided her with support and understanding of what it is like to lose a child. Her friends continued to be a comfort to her and she treasured them dearly.
Alisa has always been an avid hard core Bronco fan and the Colorado sunsets were her favorite colors of blue and orange. Despite her struggles with health in later years, what grounded her was her faith in God. She especially loves Pastor Rick's sermons at Grace Church of Arvada.
Her dog Leroy, a gift from her precious daughter in-law Thia, became her constant companion and best friend. Leroy wakes her up with kisses every day, they love to nap together and they mastered the game of donut.
Alisa is especially close to her Mom, The Barb. She sent loving text messages to her mom every morning, and called her every day, sometimes over fifteen times a day just to mention something she forgot or to ask about what she was having for dinner.
Alisa frequently told each of her nieces and nephews that they were her favorite and not to tell the others and she loved to tease them. Her favorite Uncle Bob AKA tickle monster never stopped making her laugh.

Shirley Jean Beaty - September 03, 1936 - December 13, 2023

Departed: 12/13/2023 (Arvada)
Obituary Preview: Shirley Jean Beaty was born on September 3, 1936 in Golden Colorado to Lloyd Hamilton & Mabel Watson. Her last days were spent with her loving husband and family at her side. She passed away from this life peacefully on December 13, 2023 at the age of 87.
Shirley lived most of her young life in Golden, Colorado, except for some early years when her father worked in various lumber mills in Colorado and Idaho. She often recounted the challenges of living in these camps during the cold and snowy winters and the many adventures exploring the woods with her much admired older brothers, Jim and Bill who no doubt “toughened up” their little sister. That “toughness”, as well as her tenderness, would serve her well throughout her life.
While attending Golden High School, at the age of Sixteen Shirley met the love of her life and the man that would become her husband, William Boyd Beaty. They were wed on June 28th, 1953. Boyd and Shirley celebrated 70 years of marriage in the presence of their family and friends this past June.
Boyd and Shirley welcomed their oldest son, Larry Beaty on May 11, 1954 and Gary Beaty on March 2, 1956. Later, they adopted their youngest son, Craig Beaty, born July 22, 1968. They lived in Wheat Ridge in their early married years and spent the last 56 in their beloved home in west Arvada.
Shirley spent most of her years as a devoted and caring Homemaker. Her affinity for baking and cooking made every holiday and special occasion a treat for her whole family. She was especially beloved for her amazing Pecan Pies and Fudge at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She also made a mean Green Chile that, when poured over burritos, became a favorite Christmas tradition.
While she spent most of her time as a homemaker, once her boys were a little older, she worked at the Jolly Rancher candy factory for several years as well as Cobe Laboratories.
After 38 years of service on the Union Pacific Railroad, Boyd retired in 1992. Boyd and Shirley were active members in the Good Sam RV Club and in retirement they traveled to many “Samborees” with their 5th wheel camper. They experienced many of the scenic and historical sites throughout the United States while making memories and lifelong friendships with many fellow RVers. Family She Left Behind
Left to cherish her memory, Shirley is survived by her husband, Boyd Beaty; sister Sharon Cass; her sons Larry Beaty (wife Melissa), and Craig Beaty (wife Jennifer); Three grandsons - Jason Beaty, Bronson Beaty and Austin Williamson. Seven granddaughters - Anna Bradley (Husband Jeremy), Brittany Beaty, Savana Beaty, Sommer Beaty and Skylyn Beaty, Alyssa Ash, and Kailey Williamson. Eight great grandchildren - Gunnar Beaty, Connor Bradley, Braydon Bradley, Theresa Silvas, Emily Silvas, David Wayne Silvas, Joey Rizzo and most recently August Ash, born just one day before his Great Grandmas 87th birthday. Family Who Went Before
Shirley is preceded in death by her father Lloyd Anderson, and her mother Mabel Watson; her son Gary Beaty; brothers Jim Hamilton and Bill Hamilton.
Services will be held on Thursday December 21st, 2023, at Fairmount Bible Church 15100 W 48th Ave., Golden CO 80403.
