Rollie "Rolando Escobar" Howard - May 01, 2017 - September 01, 2023

Departed: 09/01/2023 (Fairmount)
Obituary Preview: Rollie "Rolando Escobar" Howard To some people, a dog is just a dog, but to me, he was so much more than that. He touched so many lives and was the favorite to anybody he ever met. The sweetest, most loyal, intuitive, sensitive boy, but most of all, my absolute best friend. My first dog on my own, and was the light of my life. We basically became adults together, and he was by my side throughout so many phases, houses, people, and traumas. I could never repay him for saving me when I needed it most. His favorite things were hanging from his rope, going bye bye (because he knew he was always getting a pup cup or chicken nuggies,) but most of all, snuggling his momma any chance he got. He was born on May 1st, 2017 & passed unexpectedly on September 1st, 2023. He was only 6 years old and was so special, so of course he was survived by 11 beautiful babies he had. Two of which I kept, his son Apollo (1yr) and daughter Caroline. (1yr) Him leaving me so soon breaks my heart. But I will always be so appreciative of the time we did have together. Thank you for being my best friend and loving me unconditionally no matter what. I will always love you & you have a piece of my heart that will never ever be replaced. Rest easy my sweet Rolls. Maxwell came into our lives in August 2012, a beautiful 10 week old Harlequin Great Dane. We quickly discovered he had separation anxiety and the ability to destroy property when left home alone. I began taking him into work with me each day at our outdoor power equipment business, where he was very content to be with me and get the attention from each customer. As the year past, he became an integral part of the business by being very helpful greeting people and watching over me at all times. He looked for my cousin Elaine's car to pull up because he loved when she would come-by to walk him around the neighborhood. My wife Pam and I have Danes continually for 47 years and all earned their reputation as gentle giants. Maxwell was the most attentive and loving companion who was always eager for attention and to be included in any activity. He will be missed by many, and will always be in my heart.
