Obituary Preview: Diana Marie Bailey was born on January 3, 1962, to the union of Wilbur and Daisy Bailey. After a faithful and courageous battle with cancer, she transitioned on February 29, 2024 surrounded by her beloved son, Nathaniel and family member. Diana was a compassionate and faithful mother to her son. She also was a great baker, cook and financial wiz.
Diana was raised in Coram, on Long Island where she attended Longwood Middle School, then graduated from Longwood High School. After graduation, she attended Suffolk Community College while working 11 years at Long Island Savings Bank completing her tenure there as a Head Teller/Supervisor. She moved on to various positions at SUNY Stony Brook hospital, Little Flower Children Services. She then moved to Ocala, Florida where she worked as an Accountant Technician at Nationwide Insurance for 12 years until they moved to Columbus, Ohio. She worked at Enterprise Rent a Car as a Recovery Specialist for 15 years until she succumbed to her illness.
Diana loved music and knew the words to every song. In high school she was in a singing group and was the director of the Community Baptist Youth Choir. She loved to drive and take trips to the water. She felt water was her peaceful place.
Diana lived a full life filled with love, forgiveness and thankfulness. Her kind and loving spirit was a blessing to her family, friends and all those who knew her. She will be deeply missed. In our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the loving presence of the Lord. May her sweet memory be a source of inspiration to live life to the fullest.
Diana was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Bailey, Sr., and Sister Patricia Bailey. Left to mourn her is her mother, Daisy Bailey, Sisters and Brother, Roslyn Bailey-Oddman (Neville), Leila Goldschlager, Myrel Bailey-Walton (Leland), Wilbur Bailey, Jr., Leslie Bailey-Clarke (Oswald), Josephine Bailey. Her BFF, Melinda Duncan, a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, God children and other family and friends.

Sylvester Michael Rawls Jr was born to the late Sarah Harrington and Sylvester Rawls Sr on September 17th, 1957, in Ocala, Florida.
He was educated in the Marion County School System (Forest High School) and later attended the College of Central Florida, specializing in Welding & Fabrication. He worked as a Welder for 27 years before retiring in 2017. His older siblings referred to him as “Junior”. He was an excellent protector, friend and mentor.
Sylvester Rawls and Annette Watkins-Rawls were joined together in holy matrimony on February 9th, 2002 in Williston, Fl. She was the love of his life a.k.a “Honey”. In this union, he inherited four children, Schavonne, Ronnie, Aktaveya and Joelle. Sylvester loved his stepchildren and embraced the family life. He had a big heart, loving his wife, family and friends, and his special past time - Fishing.
Sylvester fell in love with Jesus. In his Christian development, he was ordained as a Deacon. He was a member of Mt. Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon. He also loved to pray and sing in the choir. His favorite song was “Love Lifted Me”.
On February 10th, 2024, Sylvester was released from the cares of this world and transitioned to his heavenly home.
He is preceded in death by his father (Sylvester Rawls, Sr.) , mother (Sarah Harrington), brother (Carl Douglas Rawls) and son (Reco Rawls).

She accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age of 7 years old and was baptized at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Riviera Beach, Florida, by Pastor J.W. Walker.
After her Father was called as Pastor of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Riviera Beach, Florida, she joined the church in 1961 and was a very active member, participating in Sunday School, Junior Choir, Youth Choir, Red Circles, Florida East Coast Association Unions and District Congress.
Armetta was educated in the Palm Beach County School System. She graduated from Suncoast High School in Riviera Beach, Florida, in the Class of 1972. She was a member of the National Honor Society, Cheerleader, Varsity Club, Keyettes, Active in Student Government, Student Council, Student Advisory Board, Yearbook Club, Newspaper Club, Palm Beach Times News Reporter Club, Drama Student, and ICC.
Armetta participated in The Upward Bound Program which convened at the Marymount University in Boca Raton, Florida and The Florida Memorial University in Miami, Florida. After graduating from high school, she attended Clark College (now Clark Atlanta University), Atlanta, Georgia & Southern Polytech, Atlanta, Georgia, where she studied Civil Engineering, achieving Associate Degree credits in Architecture. At Clark College she was a member of the Cinema Club, Drama Student, Freshman Guide, and Student Government. Armetta worked for a firm in Atlanta, Georgia and West Palm Beach, Florida as a Draftsman. After returning to Palm Beach County, she was employed with different companies.
Armetta’s grandchildren were the joy of her life. She enjoyed spending time with Trey, Ranari, Sanari and Aubrey.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Reginald L. Evans (Nadine), her parents Reverend Arthur C. Obituary Preview: Deaconess Cora L. Rawls was born on September 15, 1939, to Elizabeth Franklin in Evergreen, Alabama. She moved to Ocala with her family as a youth and joined the House of God Church under the pastorship of Bishop W. L. Nelson as the result of the outreach ministry of the church. Soon, all the Franklin children would attend the House of God Church, followed by their parents Leroy and Elizabeth Franklin, and their beloved grandmother, Novella Davis. Cora attended the Marion County Public Schools and was a graduate of Howard High School class of 1958.She was joined in Holy Matrimony to John Edward Rawls, Sr. on February 6, 1959, in Ocala, Florida. She was employed by Merritt and Nancy Fore as a housekeeper before she retired. Her hobbies included sewing, shopping, photography, baking cakes and anything that involved supporting the upbuilding of the church, such as Saturday morning fish fry fundraisers. Deaconess Rawls was a faithful member of the House of God Church in Ocala, Florida for more than 60 years, serving under the pastorships of Bishop W. L. Nelson, Elder Thelma Sanders, Bishop Cleve Butler and General Elder Christanel Butlerand many other pastors. She was appointed to the Deacon Board and served as Church Treasurer and Sunday Bible School Superintendent for many years. Cora was a nurturer who loved children and would often hold and care for many of the children of her family and other church members during church service. On Sunday,January28, 2024, Deaconess Rawls was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her legacy of love will always ring in the hearts of those who knew her, for to know her was to love her. She will always be a blessing, and a rare jewel that can never be replaced in the hearts of her husband, children, siblings, and extended family. Cora was preceded in death by her loving brothers, Calvin Franklin, Nathaniel Franklin, Sylvester Franklin, and Harold Franklin; her beloved sisters, Barbara Franklin, Linda Franklin, Sylvia Franklin and Katie Hart. Deaconess Rawl sis survived by her husband of65years,John Edward Rawls, Sr.; two sons, JohnEdward Rawls, Jr. and Courtney (Fretreshia) Rawls; two daughters, Pamela D. (Leslie) Angus and Katrenca E. Obituary Preview: Kenneth Johnson II was born October 19, 1957, at The General Hospital of Greenville Mississippi by Dr. Fred W. Hauser M.D. to his loving parents, Frances A. (Garrett) Johnson and Kenneth Johnson, Sr.
He attended Greenville Christian School graduating at 16 years old on May 17, 1974.
Kennth enlisted into The United States Navy in 1975. On December 19, 1977, he received a certification of qualification in submarines on board United States Submarine Lewis and Clark. Kenneth was honorably discharged in 1978 at Naval Station Charleston S.C.
Ken’s favorite songs were Rocket man by Elton John and Diamond Girl by Seals and Crofts. He enjoyed watching sports, no matter who was playing. Ken was a very intelligent man and very determined. He lived in several places from Houston TX to Philadelphia MS to Valdosta GA, making friends at each place he lived. He will be missed by them all.
Kenneth passed from this life and went to be with our Lord January 1, 2024.
He is proceeded in death by his mother, Frances A. (Garrett) Johnson; father: Kenneth Johnson, Sr; stepmother: Ruth B. (Willis) Johnson; sister: Jo Ann Johnson; Niece: Meredith B. Johnson; great nephew: Riley K. Johnson; great niece: Seannah A. Palamarzuk; and stepbrothers: Danny O. McDonal and Steve L. McDonald.
Ken is survived by his two daughters, Jacqueline S. McGaugh and Mary Ellen (McCool) Salagno; grandson: Gabriel D. McGaugh; three sisters: Barbara A. Johnson, Beth Y. (Johnson) Hogue, Beverly G. After the passing of her father, she was loved and raised by her stepfather, the late Reverend Rueben Whyte.
Her beloved brothers, Roosevelt, James, Joe, Darnell, Wardell, Laris (Loyce), Earnest, and Edward, all preceded her in death.
As a child born in the church, Evelyn accepted Christ early in life. She would often tell stories of traveling to different conventions with her parents, or the joy of playing the piano during church services. She was a member of Reddick Church of God for many years.
Evelyn attended Marion County Public Schools, and was a graduate of Fessenden High School, class of 1968.
On June 10, 1971, after her loving beau returned home from the military, she married her sweetheart, Henry Lewis Mobley. From this union, five children were born, Terrian, Alva, Cloris, Shedrick, and Ahmad.
Over the course of her beautiful life, Evelyn worked for Marion County Public schools, and later as an assisted living caregiver. Alongside her husband, she was the owner and landlord of Red Bird Lane Rental Properties.
She loved to be outside and could often be found in her garden, tending to her many flowerbeds, or putting nectar out for the hummingbirds. Evelyn had a love for plants and grew produce just for the joy of it. She shared everything she had with others and no one ever left her presence hungry or downtrodden. Her life was a testament of God’s call for us to be of service to others.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of over 52 years, Henry Mobley (Mighty Joe); Three sons, Terrian (Toni) Slidell, Louisiana, Shedrick (Tonida) New Port Richey, Florida, Ahmad (Valarie) Ocala, Florida; Two daughters, Alva Mobley-Collins (James) of Reddick, Florida, and Cloris Mobley-Hajdukiewicz (Richard) of Tallahassee, Florida; Eleven grandchildren, Kentavius (Khanti), Nia, Ajavie, Evette, Olivia, Aniya, Anasia, Ke’Yon (deceased), Joshawah, Nikolas, and Akai; One great-grandson, Ken’ye; One sister, Frankey Mae Mayers; Two brothers Johnell and Ray (Maynoise); Her best friends Mrs. Margaret Manning, Mrs. Clydia Lee (Peaches), Mrs. Bertha Mae Johnson, and Mrs. Gloria Jean Gadson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her in life and will keep her memory in their hearts forever.

Benjamin Arthur Stewart, aged 75, of Birmingham, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1950, to the late Walter and Elizabeth Stewart. Benjamin spent his life building a thriving retail business that now employs over 150 local residents. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, his two caring daughters, Samantha and Clara, and four grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will take place on December 27, 2025, at Sellers Funeral Home and Cremation Services. The family kindly asks that donations be directed to the American Heart Association instead of flowers.
