Obituary Preview: David J. Looney, age 70, lifelong resident of Easton, passed away peacefully at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Sunday, March 17, 2024. He was the loving husband of 50 years to Jane K. (McMenamy) Looney.
He was the son of the late Daniel Looney Jr. and Gertrude (Law) Looney. David was raised and educated in Easton. He was a 1971 graduate of Oliver & Ames High School in Easton.
After his high school graduation, David entered the trucking business. He was the proprietor of DJ Looney Warehousing & Trucking Company in Taunton. He was well known through out the trucking industry.
He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Easton. He enjoyed watching both his children and grandchildren sporting events.
Besides his wife Jane, he is survived by his 5 children, Lisa J. Erickson and her husband Jeff of Middleboro, David J. Looney Jr. of Mississippi, Nicole Looney of Milton, Danielle Looney of Milton and Michael P. Looney of Easton; 6 siblings, Robert Looney and his wife Diane of Virginia, Joanne Corriveau and her husband Steve of West Bridgewater, Nancy Fox of Florida, Michael Looney of Raynham, and predeceased by Marcia Looney and Daniel Looney III; also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jae Looney, Rowan Looney, David Erickson, Anna Jane Erickson, Jeffrey Erickson, Jack Erickson, Ava Lee Looney, Natalie Rose Looney and Maeve Reggiannini. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass for David will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church, 193 Main St. N. Easton on Monday, March 25th at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. His burial will be held privately at a later date.

Isabelle "Bette" Hughes - August 17, 1937 - March 16, 2024

Obituary Preview: BROCKTON----Isabella M. “Bette” Hughes, 86, a resident of Brockton for the past 30 years, passed away on March 16, 2024 at home under the care of her family. She was the wife of the late James F. Hughes.
Born in Stoughton, a daughter of the late Silviano and Hilda (Ornellas) Almeida, she was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School.
Bette began her working career at New England Telephone and as an office worker for the former JO Dean Oil Company. She then left the working industry to raise her children.
After, Bette took a position with the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Brockton where she worked as a program assistant for 32 years. After her retirement she was a volunteer at the VA Medical Center up until recently.
Bette enjoyed traveling, knitting ,and reading but mostly treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.
Bette was not bound by time but was a spirit unconfined, carving her legacy through adventures across the globe, from the mystic pyramids of Egypt to the icy landscapes of Iceland, and to the historical ruins of Greece. Her family cherished the holidays, wrapped warmly in the love she knitted into every mitten, hat, scarf, tangible mementos of her affection and care. Bette’s life testament to faith and love, deeply rooted in Christianity, her spirituality was the compass by which she navigated life’s trials and triumphs. It was this faith that painted her world with hope and illuminated the path for those fortunate to journey alongside her
She is survived by her children, Timothy McNamara of Easton, Susan Guest and her husband Timothy of Sandwich and Jill Newman of Taunton; two brothers, Richard Almeida and his wife Betty Lou of Maryland and Donald Almeida and his wife Katherine of Easton; 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was also the mother of the late Jack McNamara and William McNamara and sister of the late Sal Almeida.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited the funeral on Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) Easton, followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Easton, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. Robert C. Davis - January 14, 1935 - March 11, 2024

Obituary Preview: EASTON---Robert C. “Bob” Davis, 89, a resident of Easton for the past 65 years passed away at home on March 11, 2024 under the care of his family. He was the beloved husband of Judith M. (Sabin) Davis for 65 years.
Born in Brockton, a son of the late Clifford S. Davis Sr. and Grace (Orne) Davis, he was raised in Brockton and was a graduate of Brockton High School Class of 1953. Robert continued his education at Northeastern University where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Robert entered the US Army where he served served his country proudly as a 1st Lieutenant and was honorably discharged.
Upon discharge, Robert began his working career at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance. After he took positions at both the Foxboro Company and Texas Instruments. When job positions became scarce due to the economy, he began training under his father’s business learning heating fuel and repair. Soon after, Robert became the Proprietor of Brockton Service based in Easton and who’s logo was “We Make Warm Friends”. He operated this business for numerous years until his retirement.
A life member of the Easton Lions Club, he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award which recognizes outstanding individuals with the highest form of recognition and embodies humanitarian ideas consistent with the nature and purpose of Lionism.
A longtime member of the Covenant Congregational Church of Easton, he was on the original building committee and a member who helped physically building the church.
In addition to his wife Judith, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon Finlayson and her husband Scott of Easton and Heather Davis of Easton; and one grandchild, Bryanna Finlayson of Hamden, CT. He was also the brother of the late Clifford “Skip” Davis.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Covenant Congregational Church of Easton, 204 Center Street, North Easton, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. in the Church. Born in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Arthur D. and Marion Z. (Schwartz) Johnson, she was raised in Bridgewater and later West Bridgewater where she was a graduate of the Howard High School.
Marie had various occupations where she worked as a cashier and later worked in a candy factory and later as a money processor for Loomis Fargo, retiring at the age of 78.
Marie’s house was the house that everyone went to during the Holidays. She enjoyed crosswords and jumble puzzles. Marie leaves behind her beloved cat Mickey, her daughter Sharon Garcia of Georgia; her grandson, Adam Garcia of Portland, Oregon; her granddaughter Jeanette Garcia of Middleboro; and her great grandson, Jayden. She was predeceased by her sisters, Myrtle C. Johnson, Lucille M. Crockett and Jeanette J. Mondeville; her brothers, Arthur G. Johnson, Franklin Johnson and Robert Johnson

Robert W. Laird - July 27, 1945 - February 19, 2024

Obituary Preview: Robert W. Laird, age 78, of South Easton, passed away peacefully at the Ruth McLain Hospice Home in Braintree with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of Virginia “Ginny” (Tomaino) Laird.
Rob was born in Boston and was a son of the late Parry Laird and Louise (Fallon) Laird.
He was raised and educated in Attleboro. After graduating from Attleboro High School in 1963 he joined the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam war. After the navy Rob attended Bridgewater University and furthered his education at Suffolk University, graduating with a Masters Degree in Business.
He was formerly employed as a quality manager with Analog Devices, Inc., retiring at an early age after suffering and surviving a cerebral hemorrhage. This event shaped the rest of Rob’s and his family’s life. After recovering, Rob dedicated his time volunteering at Milton Hospital for many years.
Rob was a passionate sports enthusiast and a fervent fan of all Boston and New England teams. Teaching baseball to his daughter was one of his favorite accomplishments. He enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with his family. He was also an avid reader and a history buff. Known for his infrequent but hilarious jokes, he was beloved by his family and many friends. Most of all he cherished his daughter and wife of 37 years.
Besides his devoted wife Ginny, he is survived by their loving daughter, Sarah Irene Louise Laird of Somerville; a brother, John Laird and his wife Marcia of East Providence; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosemary Heppler and her husband John of South Easton, Joseph Tomaino and his wife Mickey of Essex, VT and David Tomaino and his wife Patty of West Chester, PA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Bonnie Griffin, brother David Laird and brother-in-law Bob Carter.
Memorial visiting hours will be held for Rob at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington Street (Rte. 138) Easton on Sunday, February 25th from 1:00 to 4:00pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held privately by his family at a later date.

Born in Lawrence, a son of the late William and Rita (Gallant) Casey, he was raised in Lawrence and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. William continued his education at Lowell Tech earning a bachelor’s degree in economics.
William was employed by Crusader Paper Company of North Andover as a scheduling manager.
William enjoyed golfing, grilling on the barbeque, riding his John Deere tractor, and going to the beach. He also took interest in watching both Penn State Football and Duke basketball. Mostly, he treasured the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by two sons, Ryan Casey and his wife Meredith of Easton and Brendan Casey and his wife Jessica of Woodbury, MN; his siblings, Jack Casey of Ogunquit, ME., James Casey of Methuen, and Daniel Casey of Hudson, NH.; and four grandchildren, Kai, Cora, Quinn, and Will.

Obituary Preview: Jane T. McQueeney, 62, of Easton, passed away peacefully on February 16th, 2024. After a long illness surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 3, 1961, to Mary and Richard Troy of Quincy.
Jane is survived by her husband, James McQueeney of Easton, and their beloved dog Charlie. Her son, Brendan McQueeney and his fiancé Hannah Perkins of Beverly. Daughter, Bridget Hollendonner and her husband Christian as well as her grandson James of Waltham. She is also survived by her brother Richard and his wife Debra Troy of Yarmouth Port. Her sister Joanne and her husband Bob Didrickson of Weymouth. Her brother Daniel Troy of Hingham. Her brother-in-law David and his wife Lisa McQueeney of Pembroke and her sister-in-law Diane and her husband Harold Melton of Round Rock, TX.
Jane was a graduate of North Quincy High School and Regis College in Weston, MA. After college, she had a career helping special needs children and adults. She spent time as a stay at home mom raising her two children and later in life, went back to school and pursued a career in the medical field.
Jane moved to Easton with her family in 1995. There she established roots and became an active member of the community. She loved to entertain friends and family at her home and fully enjoyed cooking for others. She was an avid baker that was famous amongst loved ones, friends and coworkers; particularly for her brownies, breads, and coffee cakes that were requested for any and all occasions.
A wake will be held at Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 605 Washington St.(Rte.138) Easton on Sunday, March 3rd from 3PM - 6PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A memorial mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, 225 Purchase St. Easton on Monday, March 4 at 10:30AM. All are invited to attend. Interment will be held privately.

Rev. Patrick J. Sullivan C.S.C. - August 24, 1929 - February 10, 2024

Obituary Preview: Rev. Patrick J. Sullivan, C.S.C., 94, died at Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, Ind. on February 10, 2024 after a short illness.
Fr. Sullivan was born in New York on August 24, 1929, one of nine children of John and Mary (Roche). He attended New York parochial schools and Holy Cross Seminary at Notre Dame, Ind. In 1948, he professed first vows at Sacred Heart, Notre Dame, Ind. In 1952, he graduated from the University of Notre Dame with the degree of Bachelor of Arts in philosophy. After completion of theological training at Holy Cross College in Washington, D.C., he was ordained a Holy Cross priest on June 8, 1956 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fall River, Mass. He then studied sociology at Fordham University, where he received a Master of Arts degree in 1958.
From 1958-1965, Fr. Sullivan served at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, PA as an Assistant Professor, Chairman of Sociology and Dean of Students. From 1960-1962, he served as a part-time chaplain at the State Correctional Institution in Dallas, Pa. In 1965, Fr. Sullivan began a program of studies at the Catholic University of America, Washington D.C. in sociology and history where he received his Ph.D. in 1971. From 1970-1976, he was in charge of personnel for Holy Cross religious in the Indiana Province before serving as a Catholic liaison for the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union in its J. P. Stevens campaign until 1979. From 1979-1989, he returned to Notre Dame, where he began research on the Catholic Church and labor before serving as Religious Superior at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. for one year. From 1990-1997, Fr. Sullivan served as part of the Higgin Labor Research Institute at the University of Notre Dame. Beginning in 1997, he served for three years as an advisor for Interfaith Worker Justice, a non-profit organization out of Chicago, Ill. From 2000-2009, he returned to King’s College to teach in the Sociology Department and serve as the Assistant Superior. From 2009-2012, Fr. Sullivan served as Executive Secretary for the Boston Archdiocesan Labor Guild before returning to King’s College to teach for an additional year in 2012. From 2013-2015, he was assigned as Pastoral Assistant at the Holy Cross Community in Dartmouth, Mass. In 2015, Fr. Sullivan resided at Holy Cross Community at Stonehill for one year, before he moved to Holy Cross House in Notre Dame, Ind. in 2016.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; Eileen Donahue, Thomas Sullivan, James Sullivan, John Sullivan, Edmund Sullivan, Mary Campbell and David Sullivan. He is survived by his sister Joan Cronin and many beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. EST at the Chapel of Mary located on Stonehill College campus in North Easton, Mass. on February 21, 2024, with a Funeral Mass following at 10:00 a.m. EST. Kenneth R. Bowden - June 30, 1930 - February 09, 2024

Obituary Preview: NORTON- Kenneth R. Bowden, 93, a resident of Norton for the past 36 years, died Friday February 9, 2024. He was the husband of the late Dolores M. (Loveday) Bowden.
Born in Brockton, a son of the late Ralph Bowden and Marion (Baldwin) Bowden. He was a graduate of Brockton High School class of 1950.
He was an avid bowler and a member of The Brockton Senior Bowling League at Westgate Lanes. In addition, he was a voracious reader and enjoyed taking professional level photography. He was a salesman and drove a truck for various companies throughout his life. He was a member of the Brockton Teamsters Union. Upon his retirement, he began traveling along the East Coast visiting various lighthouses.
He is survived by three children, Kenneth Bowden Jr., Diane Holmes and her husband Tom, Nancy Orcutt and her husband Stephen. He had a very special bond with his Granddaughter, Jackie Orcutt. He leaves behind six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his close friend Patricia (Tricia) Sullivan.
A private graveside service will be held at Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.

Obituary Preview: Evelyn M. “Evie” (Robinson) Chapman, 83, of North Easton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 8, 2024. She leaves behind her beloved husband of 61 years, Lewis E. “Skip” Chapman of North Easton.
Born in Stoughton on March 1, 1940, the daughter of the late Joseph H. Robinson and Helen F. (Callan) Robinson. She was a 1958 graduate of Stoughton High School and continued her education at Boston State Teachers.
Through the years she was fortunate to be a stay at home mom bringing up her children. She volunteered in local schools, hospitals and for the girl scouts. For many years she also cared for her grandchildren.
Evelyn's greatest joy was spending time with her family. She would host “Camp Nana” where she would teach her 12 grandchildren hobbies like knitting, swimming, and various other crafts. Evelyn also loved the Fourth of July holiday. She enjoyed going to parades, watching fireworks and taking walks on Sagamore Beach, collecting sea glass. When Evelyn wasn't partaking in family gatherings she could be found knitting. She would knit hats for projects such as Save the Children and Warm up America. Evelyn also loved her car rides, she traveled cross country several times over the years. She was also an avid fan of Elvis and watching the Red Sox.
In addition to her husband, Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Diana and her husband Guy Salvo of Norton, her daughter Ellen and her husband Christopher Tuck of North Easton, and her son David Chapman and his wife Jennifer of Raynham. Sister Helen “Sherry” Wilbar of Stoughton, Kathleen Grover of West Bridgewater, David Robinson of New Bedford. She was the beloved Nana of twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her brother Joseph Robinson of Plymouth.

Born in Newton, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Margaret (Finlayson)Hicks, whom she was very close with, and her identical twin sister of Diane (Hicks) Anastasi.
Dale was raised in Needham and was a graduate of Needham High School. She continued her education at Boston College receiving a bachelor’s degree in sociology. After college she married Carl, and eventually settled in Easton, Massachusetts where they raised their two children.
She was long time employed with D.C. Scientific in West Bridgewater, until she retired. Dale had a love for all animals, and especially the family pets. She most enjoyed her time spent with her children, grandchildren, family, and many friends.
Besides her husband Carl of 47 years, she is survived by her two children, Stephen Turner and his wife Corinne (Watts) of Hanson and Jennifer Turner of North Easton; her sister, Diane Anastasi of North Easton; 5 grandchildren, Julia, Ava, Robert, Mackinley and Bodhi. She is also survived by nieces and nephews whom she loved.
Her funeral will be at the Kane Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 605 Washington St. (Rte. 138) Easton on Saturday, February 24th at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Lawrence "Larry" Plumer Sr. - September 05, 1943 - February 03, 2024

Obituary Preview: Lawrence “Larry” Plumer Sr., 80, a resident of Easton for the past 45 years, passed away on February 3, 2024 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Karen (Richardson)
Plumer.
Born on the island of St. Lucia, British West Indies he was the son of the late Joseph Raleigh Augustin and Veronique Blanchard. Larry was raised and educated in St. Lucia.
Larry held a certificate of completion from the New England Tractor Trailing Training, Inc., and a Welding Certificate of Completion from Southeastern Regional High School. He worked in the Laborer and Construction Industry for over 50 years with such companies as Visa Flash, Road Safe Traffic Systems and was a member of the Local 721 Laborers Union. He retired from United Rental – Industrial & Construction Equipment Company in the late 2000’s.
Larry enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling with his wife Karen and friends all over the country and world. He truly treasured time spent with family and friends.
In addition to his wife Karen he is survived by two children, Michelle L. Rev. Robert J. Brennan, C.S.C. - March 01, 1934 - February 01, 2024

Obituary Preview: NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Rev. Robert J. Brennan, C.S.C., 89, died at Holy Cross House, Notre Dame, Ind. on February 1, 2024 after a short illness.
Fr. Brennan was born to Francis and Anne (Spielberger) in Bronx, NY on March 1, 1934. After graduating from DeWitt Clinton High School in 1951, he began his career in the U.S. Rubber Company until he was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1954. While he was in the Army, he was trained in IBM data processing with the Adjutant General’s Section. In 1956, after military service, Fr. Brennan worked for the IBM Corporation in both Chicago and New York until he entered Holy Cross Seminary in North Easton, Mass., in 1961. The next years, until his ordination in 1968, were in scholastic study at Stonehill College (philosophy) and Holy Cross College in Washington, D.C. (theology). Fr. Brennan also took courses at Catholic University in pastoral counseling for work he was doing with the National Training School, a Federal reformatory for boys.
In 1969, Fr. Brennan was assigned to Holy Cross Parish in Easton, Mass., and remained there as Associate Pastor until 1973. In 1973, he was assigned as Associate Pastor at Holy Trinity Parish in Saco, ME, before leaving in 1979 to further his studies in sociology of religion and worship at Fordham University. From 1980 to 1988, he was assigned as Pastor at St. James the Apostle Parish in Spring, TX. In 1988, he was Resident Assistant at Our Lady of Victory in Centerville, MA before returning to pastoral ministry at Sacred Heart Parish in Bennington, VT until 1993. From 1993-1995, Fr. Brennan became National Director of Family Rosary before he was assigned at St. Patrick Cathedral in New York City to assist for a year. From 1996 to 2002, he was Superior of Holy Cross Community at Cocoa Beach, FL before being assigned Pastor at Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in New Orleans, LA where he stayed until 2006. In 2006, he moved back to Cocoa Beach, FL as Assistant Pastor at Our Savior Parish, where he remained until he moved to Holy Cross House in Notre Dame, Ind. for health reasons in 2010.
Fr. Brennan was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean B. Holt. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 a.m. ET at the Chapel of Mary located on Stonehill College campus in North Easton, Mass. on Friday, February 9, 2024, with a Funeral Mass following at 10:00 a.m. ET. Barbara enjoyed traveling across the United States and her favorite enjoyment was time spent with grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Linda Bunavicz and her husband Keith of East Bridgewater, Donna McNulty of East Bridgewater and Debra Marchetti of Easton; 4 grandchildren, Heather McNutly of Abington, Shawn Bunavicz of NC, Jamie Bunavicz of VT and Devon Edgren of Easton; 6 great grandchildren, Kaiyla, Alex, Samantha, Elena, Callan, Mireya and Hailee. She was also sister of the late Helen O’Brien, Gladys Hanratty, Madeline Day, Mary Corbett and Harold Morin.

Born if Boston, a son of the late Charles W. And Constance (Gray) Heath, he was raised in Easton and was a graduate of Oliver Ames High School. He entered the US Military and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, and was awarded the following service medals, The National Defense Service Medal, the Presidential Unit Citation, the Vietnam Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. .
Upon honorable discharge he enrolled at Boston University where he studied business.
Charles was employed in the maintenance division for Bay State Gas of Brockton for 35 years and was a member of Local 273 where he served as an officer.
A member of the Easton Rod and Gun Club he enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. He was a former Easton Youth Baseball coach and was known to the kids as Coach Heath.
Charles is survived by his children, Matthew Heath and his fiancé Lisa of Booth Bay Harbor, ME., Andrew Heath and his wife Kasia of East Bridgewater and Timothy Heath and his wife Greta of West Bridgewater; and two grandchildren, Christian and Logan. He was also the brother of the late Joan Heath.

Born in Brockton to the late Wilfred and Una (Monaghan) Poudrier, Doris was a graduate of Brockton High School. She was employed with the Easton Public School system for many years and later provided daycare for several Easton families.
Serving the Easton community was a priority for Doris. She volunteered for several years at the Easton Food Pantry, the Meals on Wheels program, the Father Peyton Center at Stonehill College, and as an election poll worker. She treasured the friendships made through her membership in the Daughters of Isabella, her tennis groups, and the Immaculate Conception Church.
Doris is survived by her 5 children, David Welch and his wife Anne of Londonderry NH, Timothy Welch and his wife Barbara of Plymouth, Robert Welch and his wife Cathy of Easton, Mary Ellen Hunter and her husband Derek of Seattle, and Anne Myers and her husband Lyle of Lexington,KY; a sister, Claire Ronan of Brockton; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Robert Poudrier.

He was born on July 11, 1953 in Pratt, Kansas to Richard and Opal Studley, and moved to Easton with the family when he was very young. Dick attended Oliver Ames High School (class of 1972) before serving in the United States Army (1974-1977) where he was attached to a Service Battery in Germany. He loved being outdoors and tinkering with projects around the house. Later in life, he became the primary caregiver for his mother until she passed away in 2022. Dick’s other hobbies were bicycling, reading the newspaper, and tennis.
Dick is survived by his sisters, Ruth (Studley) Quick, of Kansas and June (Studley) Tolbert of Maryland, his brother, David Studley of South Easton, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother: Opal (Brittain) Studley, father: Richard Studley, Sr., sisters: Mary Studley and Betty Jo (Studley) Vieira.

Obituary Preview: Herbert Kent Lewis, affectionately known as Kenny, left this world on January 17, 2024, at the age of sixty-five, in Warwick, RI, where he was visiting family. He was a kind and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and an avid fisherman who left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched.
Kent was born on November 20, 1958, in Greencastle, IN, and attended Putnam County High School, graduating in 1977. After earning an Associate Degree in Mechanical Technology from Indiana Vocational Technical College, Kent became a Journeyman in Tool & Die at Capital Tool and Die in Indianapolis, IN. He continued his manufacturing career at Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, where he played a pivotal role opening the new Lafayette, Indiana Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Plant in 1989 after spending a year in Japan training for the role. Kent's expertise in manufacturing continued as he became a Manufacturing Tool Manager for Navistar in Fort Wayne, IN. His innovative spirit shone through as he developed a ceramic polymer tooling process, earning him an exclusive patent.
On June 15, 1996, Kent married the love of his life, Peggy (Baurley) (Funk), in Lafayette, IN. Peggy and Kent moved to the Gulf Coast of Florida in 1999, where Kent pursued a career in real estate for the past 20 years, specializing in market analysis for residential properties, particularly foreclosures.
Kent is survived by his cherished wife, Peggy, of Venice, FL; his daughter, Diana Lipford (Chris) of Kimmel, IN; his stepchildren, Margo Funk Lou (Junyang) of Foxborough, MA; Anne-Marie Reader (Scot) of Asheville, NC; and Christie Funk (Michael) of Acworth, GA. Among his surviving siblings are Louisa Chastain of Bainbridge, IN; Lisa Crowder (Thomas Ray) of Bargersville, IN; Terry Lewis (Selina) of Plainfield, IN; Steve Lewis (Koren) of Wakefield, KS; Patsy LeMal of Bloomington, IN; and Will Moss of Perrysburg, OH. His legacy lives on through 17 grandchildren: Leah, Aiden, and Beau Lipford of Kimmel, IN; Hailey DeYoung of Merrit Island, FL; Sidney (RJ) Bostek of Fort Wayne, IN; Tyeler Lipford of Fort Wayne, IN; Hayley Kay Lipford of Fort Wayne, IN; Rebecca and Hannah Felger of Fort Wayne, IN; Jack, Lucy, and Val Lou of Foxborough, MA; Nicholas Reader of Houston, TX; Amanda Reader of Asheville, NC; Christopher and John Funk of Acworth, GA; and Elizabeth Funk of Nashville, TN. Kent also leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren and 22 nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by his presence.
Preceded in death by his son, Joshua Alan Lewis, and stepson, Michael Kelly Funk, Kent is reunited with his parents, Arlando Francis Lewis and Naomi Ferrand Lewis Barker, as well as three brothers, Lanny Lewis, Bob Lewis, and Mike Lewis, one sister, Mary Lewis, niece, Carrie Bray and nephews, Anthony and J.J. Lewis.

A skilled automotive mechanic, Tom was employed by the MBTA and worked out of South Boston. A licensed refrigeration technician, Tom was also a certified Ford Mechanic and held a taxi license for the City of Brockton.
A ham radio operator who went by the call sign K1MIG, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Disabled American Veterans.
Tom enjoyed spending time growing up and in his later years at the family cottage on Bear Island, Lake Winnipesaukee, New Hampshire.
Tom is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Kane and his wife Dawn of Rockland and Matthew Kane and his wife Kelley of Lily Bay Township, Maine; 6 grandchildren, Alicia Kane, Sarah Kane, Evan Kane, Garrett Kane, Devon Kane and Gabriel Kane; two great grandchildren, Leo Kane and Oskar Kane; his best friend, Gary Ellis of Easton; and several nieces and nephews, He was the brother of the late Albert Kane, Richard Kane, Peter Kane, Robert J. Kane and Madeline Sullivan.

Jack's life was an extraordinary journey marked by a passion for sports, achievement, and a deep commitment to family.
Jack, the son of the late George and Jean Dunmead of Niagara Falls, grew up in a loving and supportive family with his sister, Sally. Sally and his brother in law, Lex Eddy had 4 boys who always looked up to uncle Jack as their role model. Jack left Niagara Falls a long time ago but Niagara Falls never left him.
Jack is predeceased by his in-laws Charles and Evelyn Hartley, who cared for him as their own.
With deep affection, Jack leaves behind his devoted wife of 55 years, Betty (Hartley), and three loving children: Jill and her husband David Laine of Bonita Springs, FL; Lori and her husband Joseph Krowski Jr. of Easton, MA; and Ryan and his wife Kristen of Easton, MA. His legacy continues through his ten cherished grandchildren: Jack, Brady, Julian, Riley, Jaden, Carter, Jorja, Kennedy, Colin, and Courtney.
Jack's life was defined by remarkable achievements. He earned a bachelor's degree from Springfield College and a master's from Bridgewater State University. He proudly served as a member of the Army National Guard for six years. A High School All American in basketball, he excelled in the competitive Cranberry League for years. Jack's love for tennis, discovered in college, led to a distinguished teaching career and a remarkable competitive journey. Ranked number 1 in New England for multiple years in both singles and doubles. He also earned several titles at the national level. He was an active and proud member of the USPTA and NELTA for years. Jack made a lasting impact on the tennis community on and off the court but particularly in doubles alongside his partner, David Brookfield.
For two decades, Jack shared his passion for education at Brockton High School, teaching physical and drivers education. Later, as the Director of Tennis at Dedham Health and Athletic Complex, he continued to inspire others. Honored in both the Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame and the USTA New England Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI. Jack's contributions to the sports world were truly exemplary.
Post-retirement in Florida, Jack found a new passion for golf, winning multiple Club Championships and achieving an astonishing thirteen hole-in-ones. His retirement was full of more on court time coaching in his community of Lake Fairways in North Fort Myers and Mid Cape Racket club in Cape Coral. He made dear friends there and countless memories.
As accomplished as he was in life, Jack's greatest achievement was being the best husband, father, and grandfather anyone could ask for. Jack was kind, loving, hysterical, loved dancing, easy going and always in a good mood. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who were privileged to have known him. His legacy will live on through his kids and grandchildren. He was so incredibly loved and will be immensely missed. Judy was born and raised in Bridgewater, MA. She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Aurore Mason. Judy was the loving mother of Ralph E. Thomas and his wife Paula of Bridgewater, Richard C. Thomas and his wife Lynne of Easton, Laurie A. Thomas and her husband Bob of Lakeville, and Lynne M. Juday and her husband Jeffrey of Malaysia. She was the sister of Denise Cummings of Taunton, Wilfred J Mason Jr. of Middleboro, and Claire Revil of Bridgewater, and she was predeceased by her beloved sisters, Yvette Collins, and Elaine Smith. Judy is also survived by twelve beloved grandchildren who were the light of her life; and two (+) brand new great grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Judy graduated from Bridgewater High School, class of 1956, and attended Bridgewater State College. She retired at the age of 65 from Georgetowne Homes in Hyde Park where she was employed for 12 years as a recertification specialist; as well as previous jobs at the Credit Data of New England, and Jordan Marsh.
Judy was a long time member of the Immaculate Conception Church of North Easton, where she had taught CCD, sang in the choir, and was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella. She also was a volunteer at the Easton Food Pantry, and member of the Red Hat society. Her favorite club was the Catholic Mothers Club of Brockton where she served in many positions from its inception in 1958 until the club disbanded in 1977. Her hobbies included: dancing, singing, sewing, reading, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed summers on Cape Cod, and winter trips to St.Croix, FL, CA, Hawaii, Panama, Vatican City, France, and even 2 trips to Malaysia. She loved traveling and spending time with treasured family and friends. And she thoroughly enjoyed her many years loving on her grandchildren! Judy will always be remembered as a very loving, giving, serving “saint” to so many, and will be deeply missed!
Memorial Visitation will be held at Kane Funeral Home: 605 Washington Street (Rte.138) So. Easton on Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM-12 PM followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon in the funeral home. Burial of her cremains will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in No.Easton, MA.

John graduated from Brockton High School in 1949 and shortly after enlisted in the US Navy, serving his country during the Korean War and being honorably discharged. After returning home, John attended Albany Business College in Albany, New York and graduated in 1955, where he received an Associate’s degree in accounting, paving the way for a forty year career in the trucking and automobile industry.
He was a longtime communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in North Easton, serving as a lector, usher, and also singing in the choir.
John enjoyed traveling and was an avid bibliophile, his knowledge of World War II history was unsurpassed. He loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was a resident of North Easton for the past fifty four years.
He is survived by his wife of sixty five years, Maureen. He is also survived by his five children, Charles J. Papineau and his wife Paula of West Bridgewater, Anne M. McCann and her husband Anthony of Easton, Richard A. Papineau and his wife Kathleen of Lake Worth Beach, FL, Jennifer M. Brown and her husband John of Easton and Janice A. Cate and her husband Kevin of Tilton, NH; John is also survived by seven grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Marshall A. Papineau, Virginia M. Gegg and Paul J. Papineau. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Survived by his devoted wife Elaine, Francis leaves behind his children: Elaine “Lainie” Gallagher of Halifax, Francis Freeman III and his wife Rhoda of Zephyrhills, FL., Suzanne White and the late Mark of Easton, Michelle Ellis and her husband Donald Jr. of Hanson, and James Freeman and his wife Ann of Hubbardston.
